Eu compro a trigésima lata de cerveja e saio caminhando até o delírio parar de latejar. Gosto de sentir a brisa de Manaus lambendo meu rosto. Não tenho dinheiro para luxo. Não tenho grana pra viajar. Não tenho grana pra passar uma temporada no Texas. Não posso pagar um psiquiatra. Quem não tem grana para fazer análise, vai para o bar ou liga a televisão. Gosto de ver televisão. Gosto de um canal de vendas na tevê a cabo em que aparece o George Foreman vendendo churrasqueiras e um troço de fazer sanduíche. Se eu não tivesse entrado nessa furada de querer ser escritor, certamente seria um baita pugilista. Um boxeador fracassado cuspindo sangue num balde de alumínio encostado nas cordas de um ringue da terceira divisão dos pesos pesados. Minha mãe virou evangélica. Tem pregado versículos da Bíblia na geladeira e colou um adesivo na traseira do carro: “se Deus é por nós, quem será contra nós?”. Todo mundo é contra nós e a minha literatura é contra o mundo. Fico feliz por ela. Dia desses deu pra a ouvir orando de voz embargada. As paredes da minha casa são finas. “Que meu filho arrume uma mulher e seja feliz”. O lance é que não quero arrumar uma mulher. Não quero casar. Não quero filhos e conta conjunta no Itaú. Acostumei-me com a solidão. Não tenho pensando em comer ninguém. Meu pau balança mole faz alguns meses. Nunca pensei em arrumar um emprego na Volkswagen e casar com uma loirinha formada em propaganda e marketing. Tenho só pensado em poesia o dia inteiro. Tenho sonhado com literatura. Minha cabeça anda povoada de frases e parágrafos gritantes que poderiam fazer Dostoievski me rasgar de elogios. Puxo vinte reais do bolso e dou na mão do traficante. Ele diz que pareço com o Frejat só que mais gordo. A música dele (Frejat), que fala que um cara limparia os trilhos do metrô pelo amor de uma mulher, tenta atravessar a minha memória, mas não permito. Aí cazuza tenta invadir cantando Vida Louca, mas apago. Deixo que a imagem da fotografia do Cazuza abraçado com Caio Fernando Abreu dure três segundos e pulo para o remake de Vicio Frenético filmado pelo Herzog na cena que o Nicolas Cage tá chapado de heroína e vê camaleões cantando no meio de um acidente de trânsito. Eu curto pra caralho essa cena. É uma das minhas prediletas. Também curto aquele tchau do Anthony Hopkins no desfecho de O Silêncio dos Inocentes. Hannibal Lecter vira as costas num terno azul e crianças negras seguram balões coloridos no meio da rua. Aí sobem os créditos. Sinto vontade de cheirar pó. Entro num bar que não faz bem para minha alma. De derrotado já basta eu. Saco o olhar desdenhoso de um otário que não tem a terça parte da minha vivência. Ele se escora no balcão. “você anda escrevendo muito. Quando sai o próximo livro?” falo que não quero papo. Ele abre um sorriso cínico. Digo pra ele cair fora. Que estou querendo ficar na minha escutando Belchior na máquina jukebox. Ele fala algo sobre Bukowski. Diz que o velho era só um bêbado. Antes de ele falar outra merda, meu cotovelo acerta o seu nariz. Respingos de sangue mancham a camiseta branca dele dos Beatles. Todo jornalista tem uma camiseta branca dos Beatles. Chuto a cara dele. Conhecidos gritam pra eu parar, mas já venho aturando esse cara faz tempo. Faz tempo que ele atravessa meu caminho com um sorriso idiota fazendo perguntas embaraçadoras como se eu não fosse escritor ou imitasse o velho Buk. Entro num táxi e acordo na porta da minha casa. Acendo um Derby na varanda e começo a rir. Minha gargalhada acorda os cães da vizinhança. Deito na minha rede e ligo a televisão. Edir Macedo fala que temos que dar para receber. O lirismo é o único Deus em quem acredito.

621 – Battle of Hulao: Li Shimin, the son of the Chinese emperor Gaozu, defeats the numerically superior forces of Dou Jiande near the Hulao Pass (Henan). This victory decides the outcome of the civil war that followed the Sui dynasty's collapse in favour of the Tang dynasty.
1533 – The Archbishop of Canterbury, Thomas Cranmer, declares the marriage of King Henry VIII of England to Anne Boleyn valid.
1588 – The Spanish Armada, with 130 ships and 30,000 men, sets sail from Lisbon, Portugal, heading for the English Channel. (It will take until May 30 for all ships to leave port.)
