It’s off putting to him at first

As clingy as you are Alec is going to have a lot of boundaries especially around the rest of the guard

It’s hard because at first he doesn’t even try to see your side of things or look into why you may be so clingy and to be honest at first he doesn’t really care

Why would anyone allow themselves to place all their attention on one person? Conveniently forgetting how dependent him and Jane are on eachother

One day he sees your face red and puffy from crying about feeling alone in that giant castle, he tries to ignore it but he finds himself unable to stop thinking about how sad you looked

Why were you sad? Why did he care? Why was he thinking of your face all of sudden? Were you always that cute?

Dammit

After a very distracted guard duty he goes to talk to you, what did you do to him?

But when he sees you all alone in your forcibly shared quarters he begins feel his heart begin to pull towards you.

He’s not very good at expressing it he finds. He asks you why you were crying the other day. You ask him he the hell he cares because why wouldn’t you he hasn’t been very nice

And as if to prove you right he says fine and storms out. And almost immediately storms back in. And all but demands you tell him

You figure it doesn’t make much of a difference anyways so bb you tell him being his mate kinda sucks right now. His gaze immediately softens

Jane

Leave her alone trust me, fight the clinginess

She isn’t budging she needs her space

Okay maybe she will budge a smidge but it’s microscopic

Seriously go at slower than a snails pace because go too fast and she will freak out and use her gift on you

Let me make clear she didn’t mean to but she got overwhelmed and that’s how it came out

She feels bad but even after her apology she isn’t going to be touchy or wanting to cling to you at all.

Alec tried to help you understand she has never been affectionate with anyone besides their mother

He’s gotten pained a few times but because they were all eachother had Jane tolerated better she had time to adjust even if it took turning into a vampire and then some to show more affection

She will show you affection and love in other ways just back off for a bit lol which at first will just involve not scowling at you it’s a good sign honestly considering she still scowls at Demetri

Demetri

As you should be honestly (his words not mine)

He has no issue with this whatsoever

Literally none

He is the one most often sent out in missions however so he feels terrible about having to leave you all of the time

He makes sure to leave some item of clothing that smells a lot like him

It’s still hard and he often comes home to you feeling a bit sad

But he makes sure to let you know he’s alright as he takes you in his arms and spins you around

And if he isn’t busy he’s always holding you whether you’re alone together or are with the rest of the family

He knows clinginess can come from a fear of abandonment but whatever the reason he makes sure you know that’s he’s all yours and he doesn’t plan on going anywhere

Felix

Forever shocked you would want to spend all of your time with him

But also thank the gods because he is probably just as clingy

He only has to go on missions where the laws are being broken and even then Santiago will sometimes go especially now that he has you

The check in ones are usually Demetri and his mate or the twins with him

He’s more of an intimidating figure at trials and obviously he has the executioner title but Demetri will drag him out sometimes just to get the job done quick because that man is in a hurry to get home

Always stays with your for a few hours alone before even considering doing anything else

If you’re around for trials he has to work hard to not look at you which you can take for a challenge sometimes

Let it be known you have not broken this man yet when he puts on his guard persona there isn’t a person in that could break him or make him smile

But it’s still funny to try and it’s gotten the tiniest smile out of Caius once so you’ll take that as a win

Outside of work Felix enjoys a good prank so he always involves you in getting one of his friends

Involves you in everything honestly

Thought you were adorable when he came come to find you wearing one of his scarfs because you missed him

Can and will hold you for hours

Heidi

She asks if you actually want to just be in the room as she is while she makes calls and sends emails for the next tour

You do?

Okey dokey

She enjoys your company too and she sees no reason for you two to not be together

If somehow it is too much she is so kind about asking for space because she can be clingy too

okay I’ll try and say that when she’s feeling down (usually around the anniversary of her coven perishing) she needs to process things on her own

You can understand that and she usually comes back she will need you and won’t let go for awhile

That’s literally the only time she’s distant any other time and she’s just fine with your clinginess she finds it endearing and loves to spend time with you

It’s elevated if you are sent out in missions as well you both get a bit heartsick but distance makes the heart grow fonder and the reunion is always very…intense

Bro bestie has a tumblr and has found me and my other bestie and has realised I’m a little slut for twilight. I wish I wasn’t to be honest because let’s be real here its bad, it’s trash even. But it’s my trash. I’m mine, and I love it, except the parts I hate and I mean HATTTEEEEEE like imprinting, the entire Breaking Dawn story (except the Volturi they actually are amazing, Micheal Sheen supremacy guys) and the character assassination of Jacob (like Meyer realised she made a better side love interest than the main one and instead of making Edward better she just makes Jacob a harasser). Do Elsa's snow people go with her to Volterra? How does Anna and Elsa's presence as members of the Volturi affect the actual story of Twilight thousands of years later? Would Olaf and Emmett be bros?

Anon's referring to my discussion of what works when crossed over with Twilight and what falls on its face. My argument for Frozen was that Elsa, with the very clear usage of her gift, would sooner or later find herself turned and becoming a member of the Volturi (perhaps Anna as well).

I mean, it was really more of a thought exercise than anything else, what you're asking goes way off into headcanon land/write the fic territory. But I guess I can give off the cuff responses.

Do Elsa's Snow People Go with Her to Volterra?

Probably. Those things roaming around is a large breach of the secret and that's a very useful portion of Elsa's power. Given that they can survive in warm temperatures with Elsa's help, there's not really a necessity for them to stay on Arendelle's glaciers.

How Does Anna and Elsa's Presence as Volturi Affect Twilight Thousands of Years Later?

Thousands of years? Oh man, anon, I mean... We're really going into AU crossover land. If I had to place the timeline of Frozen I'd probably say 18th century. They don't have cars yet but the clothing, the military dress, the technology (things like the dam having been built decades before, the way the ships look, etc.), Christian symbolism (Elsa is coronated holding the orb and scepter), all point to waaaaay sooner than several thousand years ago.

I'll put it like this, Elsa is not queen of the Vikings.

But I will place them probably 100-200 years before Bella Swan will be born.

Regardless, they have no effect on the story. Elsa is extremely powerful but ice and snow aren't the same... detriment to vampires. Unless her gift has become even radically more powerful in ways that are conveniently useful (which is possible as she was stupid powerful to begin with) then in the confrontation during Breaking Dawn, Elsa's gift while employed is unable to threaten the sudden Cullen supremacy due to Bella's gift. Unless she can take out Bella any more than any of the others can, the Volturi is in the same place they were.

If Anna is gifted, same rules, unless it takes out Bella it won't make a difference.

There's no other point where Anna and Elsa are likely to meet with Bella, to do so would be going very out of their way and plunge is into very AU land.

Would Olaf and Emmett be Bros?

Given the confrontation between the Cullens and Volturi and that Emmett never meets the Volturi until Breaking Dawn and has 0 chance of having run into Olaf: No.

As it is, I think Emmett would find Olaf weird and alarming. He tries to make jokes about it but then you have Olaf noting that "I have no bones" or "I like warm hugs". Emmett just can't win.

Well my unpopular opinion is that the Battle in Breaking Dawn is Alice wet dream! I mean really is ridiculous that nobody of the Volturi use their power while Bella was blocking other gifted vampire.

Let's say that while Bella is protecting Edward with her shield of Jane, Alec could have easily spread his mist and neutralize her, because she's weak, can't shield herself and other at the same time.

Ok, let's say that their giftes were off, even with that they are literally an army! They sould have know how to fight. I mean Kate and Tanya able to easily kill Caius? The old bastard that depends of his skills in fight to be respect? The one that literally erased the children of the moon!

It's just so incredibly silly!

So I know the Egyptians weren’t the ruling coven but, OK, why did Aro specifically have it in for the Romanians? I wonder if this has something to do with Caius’s earlier run in with them? Maybe it was Vlad’s four ppl coven. Idk. There’s so much to think about with this. It seems Vlad and Aro are more the enemies (and Caius) then say Marcus and Stefan even care. Stefan is just sour cause his wife was killed I think. But Aro and Vlad are literally the tyrant enemies of this group.

In my headcanons, the Aro vs. Vladimir feud had its roots in the Romanian coven being the only ideological competition the Volturi ever faced. And they were in fierce ideological competition, it must be emphasized. 

We only meet three ruling covens, present or former: the Egyptians, the Romanians, and the Volturi. The Egyptians had zero political platform. (And, let’s be real, these vamps weren’t brilliant. They pretended to be Egyptian gods long after Egypt became Muslim and Christian, which... okay.) The Romanians advocated for vampiric supremacy. And the Volturi were trying to rise to power on a message of, “Be on your best behaviour, guys! It’ll pay off three thousand years from now.” 

It goes without saying that the Romanians had a better shtick. And it upset Aro to no end. While his ideology was, ultimately, more beneficial for both vampires and humans, the idea of being intellectually maneuvered just galled him. As a result, he’ll forgive Amun in a way he wouldn’t necessarily forgive Vladimir. 

(And, as a final note, Aro feels a flicker of this frustration towards Carlisle. How dare someone else have a semi-loving family while subscribing to a fringe ideology not of Aro’s making? Who allowed this?)

Oh my God Alec is going to be hazard to anyone around him

If you barely made it out of the fight and couldn’t beat the other vampire he’s going on a man hunt

Or woman hunt he really doesn’t care what they are all he knows is he’s going to tear them apart, bring their pieces to Volterra, let them put themselves back to get her, and have Jane go crazy

If you want to you can do the honors and finish them

Part of you may be traumatized and who can blame you, Alec will give you the space or comfort you need even if it is at a discomfort to him

Absolutely feral at anyone who tried to interact with you in the following weeks

Trusts no one around you and it’s probably for the best because after all of these events happened to you, you’re a bit on edge and ready to lash out against anyone

So he’s probably doing it for everyone’s sake but mostly for you

You were almost afraid to say anything but you made it back to the castle so disheveled it was hard for Jane to ignore something had happened

You had been checking on alliances between other covens when a nomad started accusing you of being in his territory

Thank god they didn’t let people leave the castle until Felix gave the okay because you almost lost that fight.

The nomad had been relentless landing a few punches forming a few cracks in your face, you barely managed to claw them off let alone win

While it offered no relief you felt your breathing coming out ragged as you saw the pyre burst into flames

“Y/n. Did you hear me what happened?”

Something about Janes tone made you snap “It’s none of your business Jane. Move I have to go see Aro.”

The sharpness in your voice stunned her, you out of all people had never raised your voice at her, for most it was out of fear. You just never saw her as the infamous witch twin. She couldn’t help wonder if her usual cold demeanor had finally pushed you away

You hadn’t gone back to your shared room, Jane grew worried and went to speak with Aro. While he may have paused he also has a hard time telling Jane no so he spilled about your horrible day. Aro also informed her that you’d be in one of the spare rooms that overlooked Volterra

She flinched when you told her to leave you alone. Only realizing more and more how close it must have been. She came next to you and wrapped her arms around you

You fought for a little bit before the touch began to bring tears to your eyes. Soon she was rubbing your back as you quietly sobbed into her shoulder. Jane said nothing only shushing but o try and calm you down. You never have to actually talk about it she knows what a sensitive subject it is. And she makes sure everyone else has instructions to not bring it up either

You are all dispatched to clear up a huge newborn army and we will make this one dramatic because… I can

You were all vastly outnumbered the twins couldn’t contain them in one area, they’d been trained for this

Regardless mental gifts were not doing much. You had all been trained. It was going well until you were chasing one of them and they happened to lead you to one of their friends who was hiding

It didn’t go well for you…you managed to get one of them down but the other managed to get behind you. The newborn strength outdoing your ability to get him off. You suddenly felt an excruciating pain from where your right arm should be. You saw Demetri find you before everything went black

If you had thought the initial pain was tough… it had nothing compared to the venom in your body trying to heal itself as Demetri ripped the attacker off of you before he could irreparable damage

You couldn’t help but scream as part of your neck healed itself. Demetri had finished off the other vampire but as he helped you with your arm his face froze

You did better this time gritting your teeth against the pain. As the scars formed and the pain subsided, embarrassment took its place. It was foolish to run off on your own. And you half expected Demetri to scold you for running off without him

The silence was deafening. Demetri was screaming inside wondering how you were and more so guilt ridden he hadn’t paid closer attention to you.

“Are you mad?” You finally asked him. This made him feel worse, he sighed as he tried to answer in a steady voice “only at myself mia cara.”

“It wasn’t your fault Dem.” You knew nothing you said would appease him. All he did was stare at your new scar running halfway through your arm a permanent reminder for both of you but while you looked at it in relief that you had made Demetri looked at as a failure on his part. His finger traced around it.

“We should go.” He choked out. The rest of the guard was filled in on the flight back. The twins thought the scars looked cool. Felix was silent, refusing to look at them just saying he was glad you were fine. He matched Demetris mood worrying about both of you.

After debriefing the kings who looked over you carefully, they excused you all to clean up and relax for the next few days. After you came out of the shower Demetri placed his hand on your cheek looking over for any other damage. He looked furious, his eyes were glassy.

“Demetri. I’m fine, really.” He brought you into him and growled low into your ear. “Don’t. Ever. Do that to me again.”

“I wasn—“ he interrupted you by pressing his lips against yours. “I. Will. Not. Lose. You. Again.” He said it in such a way that you were certain he would do anything in his power to prevent any of the events of today from repeating itself

Felix

God this is taking a lot more out of me than I thought sorry to you readers out there if this is a bit emotional thus far

This is another mission gone wrong, terribly wrong. The coven you had bent sent to investigate had a gifted member with a twisted desire and enjoyment of inflicting pain. She Jane a run for her money. She used her gift to prove a point this vampire was sadistic and her gift…it scared even the twins upon seeing it

His coven was causing attention, running everywhere they went and leaving humans dead in the middle of the day. They all convened around an abandoned building that was supposed to be demolished. This vampires coven had gone down easily. Too easily, and the vampire they actually cared about was definitely there but unmoving in their room. Unafraid if whatever was coming to them

The five of you (Demetri, Felix, and the twins) walked into the room carefully. The guy was a creep and probably had been in real life. Before Anyone even had a chance of negotiating something for Aro, he outstretched his hands and pulled you and Jane forward

“Before any of you try and kill me.” He grinned maliciously, “come any closer and both of these two lovely females are done.”

Felix is freaking out, you were non negotiable in his eyes. But he could tell the guy wasn’t bluffing. You and Jane were suspended midair, cracks forming on both of your faces like a weathered porcelain doll

He was going to suffocate the two of you until the cracks spread throughout your entire background and you were both going several people to put all of you back together. You didn’t even know it was possible for your kind to suffocate, then again Alec’s gift had a similar effect

Alec was freaking out himself. His gift would take too long and would be too obvious he couldn’t risk either of their lives. Demetri began taunting him. Felix growled at him in warning before Demetri shot him a look, while Felix understood he had to trust him, seeing his mate and being unable to do anything killed him.

Demetri continued. Telling him how a guy who picks out the two smallest vampires must not actually be very strong. Otherwise he would have taken himself and Felix. Alec began to understand slowly circling him and Felix followed, forcing the vampire to look back and forth between the three of them, positioning Alec behind him.

The guy was becoming unhinged as he tried to prove how strong he was to Demetri. His monologue continued and Alec began trying to extend his gift as fast as he could, the other vampire turned around dropping Jane and focusing and trying to focus on Alec. Demetri was expecting this and had moved close enough to quickly finish their mission. Felix and Alec respectively rushed to their loved one.

You were both struggling to get your breath as if the guys gift had long lasting side effects. Felix gently crouches next to you, effectively leaving him vulnerable while shielding you from anyone other possible attackers

Thankfully no one else was around. When you finally could catch a breath and not need it again. You noticed how you had brought your knees to your chest, but still leaning into Felix. While Alec had more or less led Jane out in her trance Felix had stayed with you. Rubbing your back and whispering ‘you’re okay.’ Both to you and himself

“Felix?”

“Oh thank God.” You almost clawed at him in the rush to hug him. He refused let go of you until he felt you calm down. He had sent Demetri back when he had come to check on you. The two of you would take your time going back. If you even wanted that. Which of course you did. You just needed some time to readjust how you went about missions. Especially when scouting more gifted vampires

When you guys do make it back, the two of you go straight to your quarters. Felix laying next to you and tracing all the areas where he seen the cracks. He knew even though you could be put back together, what you went through could affect you for a long time afterwards. He knew all too well.

He had made sure to train you well in protecting yourself physically. You’d been trained harder than most but he couldn’t do anything against mental gifts, and he had hoped your gifts wouldn’t have been so important on missions. He hated how he couldn’t do more for you and it was evident as he stared at you, worry etched on your face

Felix becomes more overprotective over you than ever.  Unnecessarily taking down any vampire who even slightly passed as a threat. The leaders didn’t mind it made him more effective but they knew where his loyalties would lie if something bigger ever occurred. They debated talking to him about it but Athenadora shut that idea down quickly.

Heidi

Poor Heidi, you have to be gifted in this case because otherwise I’m sure she keeps you out of trouble

So she has no control over anything that goes on during missions

You’ve had to sugarcoat some of the more dangerous ones before, but after you were almost unalived trying to help one of the twins she’s been updated by text courtesy of Demetri

Heidi is flipping her shit, Demetris vague text does not help he just says you’re shaken up

Heidi is not one for violence but until you come home anyone who talks to her is getting attacked viciously. The leaders try to calm her but she’s so upset even they have to reassure her you will not be leaving for awhile before shes satisfied

She’s not losing anyone else

You come home and you’ve had a little time to gather yourself but when Heidi rushes to hug you, you almost break down. You can hear her yelling at the guard but it’s probably best you didn’t make everything out because she had some venom in her words

You’re going to make her apologize later but they all know how protective she is of you. She takes you away and babies you until you’re ready to talk

Hates that you have to go back out but understands you have a job too.

I apologize Heidi’s is so short but it’s all I got for her 😭

A= Affection (how do they show affection)

First of all this man is terrified to show any affection because even the remote possibility of you moving away or rejecting him is just...its too much for him. I definitely see him as an acts of service kind of guy. He will listen to offhanded comments you make on things you like. So if you said you liked a certain kind of flowers, youre going to see those randomly in your room. Or your favorite music? It will be playing when you guys do need to take a vehicle or flight for a mission of some kind. Felix absolutely never says anything about this stuff either he just does it and leaves. It second nature to him.

Now for Felix... he wont want to initiate any kind of physical contact with you but he melts when you touch him. Touching him helps him understand you truly don’t fear him, adores when you put his hand on the side of your face and lean into it or kiss his hand. He knows what he is capable of and the fact that you trust him enough to have it there makes him feel as if not every part of him is as evil as others know him to be

B= Beautiful (what is their pet name for you)

I think it’s pretty much canon that he will call you little one. Everyone is little to him but you’re special and that’s just you’re nickname. If he’s upset he will probably use your actual name.

C= Cuddles (Are they a cuddly person?)

He wants to be. The more comfortable he feels that he won’t hurt you the more he’s willing to be more cuddly. Once he’s settled though he isn’t going want to leave, he isn’t planning on going anywhere if you are okay with that. Loved when

D= Domestic (Do they want to settle down? What kind of future do they want)

Not big on the traditional marriage and all of that, it’s a very human materialistic tradition and out of all of the guard he is much more of a minimalist. Again though this man listens, if he catches wind that any of that is something you’d like he will try his hardest to give it to you. Being with the volturi gives him purpose so he really doesn’t want to leave nor would the kings want him to leave. But I could see him use some savings he had to get you guys a nice cottage or something to get away every once in awhile

E= End (How would they break up with their partners if they had to? What would make them do that in the first place?)

Felix would never end things. Till death due you part is something he takes very seriously. I would say he is hesitant in initiating any sort of relationship with you. He knows he had a reputation as a flirt and you’re too special to treat you like anyone else because you’re not just anyone else, not to him. He is going to suddenly stop making flirty jokes to the other women in the coven and they all know immediately something is up. And it takes a lot of pushing from everyone to get him to initiate even a friendly conversation or continue a friendly conversation if you are the one initiating

F= Fear (Whats something that terrifies them)/ Fiance (How would they propose)

Other than losing you? Probably you being afraid of him. In any aspect he fears you seeing him in a fight and tries to separate his work and you as much as possible. Everyone has more than one persona in the volturi they have to be taken seriously in their world so most know whatever they portray. Felix worries about you not being able to separate the two.

Felix would probably take you back to wherever you had your first real or kiss and propose in a way that ties everything back to that moment. He will only propose if you want a whole wedding ordeal. Aro probably pushes him to do it also because it’s an excuse for a party. He will end up enjoying more than he expected though. If marriage isn’t a big deal he will make a big deal out of anniversaries and he plans on gifting you rings and jewelry anyway however you wear it is up to you. A band of metal isn’t what binds him to you.

G= Gentle (How gentle are they emotionally, physically?)

Emotionally Felix could be described as cold but in reality he’s just a problem solver. If something is upsetting you he thinks of the most rational way to fix it not necessarily knowing or understanding why you would want to just vent. He has trouble doing that himself often internalizing until he just has a bad day and takes it out on whatever poor guard has training duty that day. Felix hates being perceived as weak so it will take some work for him to open up.

Physically in what aspect?? Like any form of touch he’s going to be very gentle and for the nighttime activities he’s going as slow as you’re comfortable with. He will gain more confidence on that aspect quickly

H= Hugs (Are they a hugger? What do their hugs feel like? How much do they like to hug?)

His hugs just envelop you. Not quite bear hugs but the hug that you never want to let go it feels so comfortable. He always gives a tiny extra squeeze before letting go every time. If you’re having a bad day and it’s not something he can fix he will hold you until there’s no tears left

I= I love you (how soon did they know they were in love? How long did it take to say the words?)

It depends. When did you guys start being friends from there when did he finally ask to hang out just the two of you or did you ask? This timeline varies depending on you, from the moment he saw you he knew he was attracted to you that does not mean he thought it was fair to pursue you. When the rest of the guard is together he will try and find a moment to talk with you one on one. Demetri and Heidi will absolutely help without him noticing because he’s too nervous to even talk to you. After you guys go out on one date though it doesn’t take long for him to fall very deeply in love. He worries about saying anything in case you don’t reciprocate his feelings, as far as he knows you might just be scared to say no to him. Ask him what’s on his mind a few months in when he’s super fidgety and it’s bound to come out, he can barely contain it honestly

J= Jealousy (Do they get jealous easily? Do they try and make you jealous)

Yeah. Entirely too easily too. Even when the two you barely spoke or were only friends he would grow quite sullen at sight of you with another man. Even if that man was just talking with you, but say he saw you laugh or hug them….well some poor guard probably had a harder day during training. Even now that you’re in a relationship he worries because he is constantly gone due to missions. So in a sense it isn’t jealousy but a yearning to be the one you always have to go when you need help, he knows it’s impossible but it hurts him to think you don’t need him. It would be cute if he wasn’t so genuinely worried about losing you.

K= Kisses (what do their kisses feel like? Where do they like to kiss you?)

The first time he let himself believe there might be a chance you could like him and accepted him for who he is he took a chance at kissing you. A lot of the guard had gone outside of the castle for the night. Felix is honestly more of an introvert and you could see his leg shaking and him getting anxious the more you were out. You offered to go back to the castle and the two of you ended stopping at the fountain to look at the stars. You both overheard a couple of humans talking about Heidi and trying to justify her rejection towards them by saying she of all people wasnt that pretty. The two of you couldn’t help but laugh and as you locked eyes for a second he pressed his lips against yours. It was quick, way too quick Felix pulled back and stared at the ground, you were both now painfully aware that at one point you hands had intertwined. You wondered if he regretted it. You asked if he wanted to head inside and he only nodded in response but didn’t let go of your hand. You were a few steps in when he suddenly pulled you back into the shadows “I can do better than that..” he said in a low growl he looked at you to make sure it was okay before cradling your face between his hands and letting his lips meet yours. You seemed to melt into eachother and you it couldn’t have been more than 10 seconds but it was deep and left you with longing you weren’t able to ignore any longer.

Around others the only place he will kiss you is on the cheek, even when he gets back from missions he greets you that way first but when he’s been away he makes sure it’s closer to your ear so he can whisper how much he missed you.

The other regular day to day kisses are more short and passionate and he always lingers a bit similar to the way he hugs or embraces you.

For Felix the best way to show him you love him honestly is when you began kissing the back of his hand, particularly his knuckles. He’s seen and caused so much destruction the fact that you show no hesitancy to him means the literal world.

L= Littles (Do they want kids? What are they like around kids? How many?)

Maybe in another life, but he sees himself as too much of a danger. He is selfish enough to not want to let you go but he doesn’t even think you should be around him so kids would be a definite nope. And if you were juman he would never put you in the kind of pain Bella went through it just wouldn’t happen.

M= Mornings Memory

Vampires can’t sleep but Felix is one of the older members in the guard he’s seen and done a lot. And a lot of it he isn’t proud of. Because he can’t sleep memories seem to creep in, it affects everyone differently for Felix it silences him turning him into a shell of someone. It’s almost as if he is back in that memory and it’s almost impossible for him to escape. You have to be careful when he has one of these spells because it is the only time his senses are off, the gentlest touch will jolt him back into reality. It takes him a second to realize where he is and he almost always seems as if all of his energy has been sapped from him.

It’s extremely rare but not impossible to get a handful of immortal children cases. The memory that haunts Felix the most is one of the children that was created shortly after they had been made illegal. The vampire was unaware but still extremely possessive. He hadn’t had to personally get rid of the children, and this one…they had been crying no whimpering for their mother. The transformation process wasn’t even complete and this tiny and helpless human was under the worst pain imaginable. Everyone in the room was uncomfortable with what they had to do, he didn’t remember what guard member eventually had to take care of the child but he would never their eyes the process was almost complete and it was as if this child knew what was happening opening it’s eyes just once before they had disappeared forever.

Ever since immortal children are not brought up no one likes what they have to do but Felix stiffens at the slight mention of it. He can hear their creator screaming at him and calling him a monster as he held him back before ultimately having to get rid of them too.

N= Nights Newborn

I’m sure we can all imagine that Felix was a rough newborn to keep under control. No one was able to stop him when he went into a frenzy and even if they had wanted to kill him there was no with the ability to. Not yet, all of the kings had been injured at the hands of Felix as a newborn when they tried to calm him when he first woke up. Once his thirst was quenched he was willing to listen and hear out Aros plan. He had no one left in his life and they quickly became part of the family he craved. Word spread of Felix early on and during some of the wars they went through there was a point where a group of at least six relatively bigger vampires decided the best way to win was to take them out in groups, they ganged up on Felix and consequently due to more than one coven trying this he has his fair share of scars. He isn’t proud of them and often (thank you @avyannadawn for this idea I will use this till the day I die) hides his scars with long sleeves or scarfs.

O= Open up (When do they feel comfortable enough to open up? Is it all at once or painfully slow? Do you have to dig?)

I’m realizing that I may have given this guy a bit too much trauma… Felix isn’t one to hide his past but he won’t give anything up you won’t ask. For the memories that start to bother him you will have to find him zoning out or maybe you will be talking to him and he will suddenly stop answering at something triggering and it’s hard to get his attention back. When it comes to his past and scars it is something you’re going to ask offhandedly, it could be a simple question just asking why he has so many scarves or something like but but his discomfort will be apparent and you’re going to have to give him time to be able to talk about. Which he will with you because he doesn’t want to feel like he’s hiding himself from you and he feels like you have the right to decide if his past is too much.

P= Patience (Are they quick to anger? How do they calm down?)

No one is more patient than Felix at least with you. He sees little to no need for an argument if it’s something that bothers you that greatly he would rather you be pleased anyway. Outside of your relationship it depends on who he’s with, is someone bothering you? Or saying some thing unkind about you? Rage. You’re perfect as far as he’s concerned. Some trials carry a heavier burden than others and he may come into your room upset but he won’t direct it at you. He literally just lies down and tries to breathe to calm himself often covering his eyes with his arm, as if that would shield you from what he went through. Often times you sitting down next to him and running your hand through his hair will do the trick. You’ll see when he’s calmed down because you can literally see him relax his muscles. Afterwards he will want to rest his on you and will probably try to apologize

Q= Quiet/Quizzes(What do they like to do when they have time to be alone? What fun things do they remember about you? Do they remember everything?)

Alone and worth you he enjoys the video games humans have come up with over the years. Not the violent shooting ones he has enough of that in his life but just mind numbing arcade games or worldbuilding rpg games. I dare you to show him something like Pokémon he won’t be able to shut up about it.

Remembers everythingggg. Specifically though he remembers your emotions a lot so if he knows something makes you upset he’s going to try his best to make sure that doesn’t happen again and likewise will try and steer you towards things he knows make you light up.

R= Recovery (How you take of them and vice versa after a battle?)

It’s been a long while he’s needed to recover from a battle. There just aren’t big covens he needs to worry about anymore and Alec and Jane help cover him every time. He will also do his fam fest to keep you out of a battle but on the off chance someone tries to hurt you he’s going to check on you first. Making sure someone is covering him, he will gently place his hand over any part of you that’s hurt but this is one of those times he’s seeing read he’s going to look at you and you just have to place your hand on his cheek for him to know you’re okay, he will ask Demetri to watch you before he goes on a warpath

S= Safety/Solution (How protective are they? How do they solve problems)

Uhm extremely. He will die trying to shield you before a hair on your head is out of place. The kings are wary to put you two together because you distract him from his mission. If the kings are going to need to be summoned they know to keep you away not that they don’t care about you but they need Felix 100% focused. Felix prefers it that way anyway

T= Try/ Touch (How much effort do they put in? When they need or want your touch what do they do? How often do they do this?)

I need to stop answering these in past questions. He puts in all of the effort. He simultaneously gets so awkward when you do the same. He can’t believe someone is willing to pay attention to small things he says like that. He literally has no idea he does the same. But do something for him and he is going to try and outdo it because you definitely didn’t need to do all of that for him and you are the one that deserves to be spoiled blah blah blah the man doesn’t know how to receive not platonic love.

U= Ugly Side (What a pet peeve of yours they have? Bad habits?)

He shuts down. It’s obvious when he’s having a hard time and he is a terrible liar when he tries to spare your feelings. He doesn’t want you to be as down as him. He doesn’t even let Demetri know and Demetri knows everything but words like hurt his feelings a lot. He knows that people see him as an executioner it comes with the job. Felix has gotten hood at masking but when he tries to do that shit with you when you know it bothers him because he’s told you before ✋✋✋

V= Vanity (Do they concern themselves over how they look?)

He dresses nice but he doesn’t actively try to. He is mostly focused on covering up so when Demetri decided to get him clothes that’s what he’s used. Same with you anything you’ve replaced he uses. Also he makes sure to have spray your perfume on whatever scarf he’s using. He will also ask you wear some of them around every once in awhile so it smells like when he wears it.

W= Whole (What makes them feel complete?)

Cheesy as it is, you’re the one thing he was missing. You make him whole. He loves some of the family he has in the guard but when he met you he would have been ready to run away if it meant you were safe. The fact that you love the world he’s in means that much more to him.

Y= Yuck (What do they not like in a partner?)

I think someone who makes all of their jokes somewhat degrading, making fun of a slip up is one thing but he hates people that make jokes on appearance or things people could take seriously. He doesn’t like fake niceties

Z= Zzzzz (How do they sleep? Sleeping Habits?)

After guard duty or a mission he’s making sure he gets at least a full evening with you before going to hang out with anyone else. He just needs time to be with you when he can. Afterwards he enjoys either reading or playing some games with you (yes both kinds). If there’s time, it’s relaxing to mess around with the other guards. Felix does enjoy to have fun and he has had some elaborate pranks throughout the years that he would love to have your help in.

Felix’s POV

 “Wh-what do you mean shes asleep?!? Vampires can’t sleep!!”

 “Yeah well they can’t die either.” Y/n stated looking at her nails. “You wanted answers. She’ll wake up soon, you little brat.”

 Everyone in the throne room was silent. No one challenged the twins like that. No one. There was a chance her gift didn’t work on Alec, his gift could just cancel hers out. Still, she didn’t seem to care. I couldn’t help but find it rather impressive.

 “What did you just call me?”

 “I called you a brat. Its quite obvious you and your sister have never had anyone be able to shut you up. Shes fine, you aren’t allowed to touch me, and now you’re about to throw a fit. Am I wrong?”

 “Alec.” Caius warned. Alec released a growl like no one had heard before. Even Demetri took a step back, half wondering if Alec was about to paralyze the whole room. Part of me wanted to grab Alec myself, but I knew how far his gift went. Theres not much that can scare a vampire, but as far as gifts go Alec’s had to be the most terrifying. You had asked him to try it on you once, out of curiosity. You remember thinking vampires didn’t need to breathe anyway… and still it felt suffocating, the silence surrounding you was deafening. The pitch black was quite literally blinding. If you could sleep it would have given you nightmares for weeks, Im sure along with everything else I’ve had to see in this life. Alec seemed almost feral right now, as if one wrong word would send him over the edge. Caius could hold him in place, but Aro was the one who would need to calm him down.

  “Alec dear boy.” Aro tried this time, “I assure you if anything was going to happen to Jane I would be the first to encourage you to use your powers on y/n. Her gift is merely a deterrent. A powerful deterrent to be sure. But nothing harmful, at least not to us or our kind. If Y/n is correct, she should be waking up within the next five minutes or so, why don’t you go check on her.”

 Alec didn’t need to be told twice. The air was thick with tension. Alec glared at y/n as he walked out while y/n seemed to take joy in antagonizing him and stuck her tongue out. You wondered how she would fare in the palace. Another low growl came from his throat as his cape flew past y/n and out of the throne room.

 Aro cleared his throat, “Well, while that was all very entertaining. My brothers and I have much to discuss. Your room will be ready soon my dear.”

 “Uhm that’s really not.. necessary.”

 “Nonsense, until then. Demetri, would you mind giving y/n a bit of a tour?”

 “Certainly master.” Demetri turned to face y/n and offered his arm, “Shall we?”

 “Sure, I guess.”

 “Perhaps Felix should go along as well. If she shows this much promise she may as well get acquainted with the guards that go out on missionsbmost frequently, don’t you agree brother?” Marcus turned to ask Aro. Please, for gods sake say yes. You couldn’t quite explain your newfound protectiveness? Defensiveness? Maybe territorialness over the new recruit. You wanted to know more about her, maybe tell her about your past. Aro raised an eyebrow but waved you off as well.

 “So, y/n. Is there anything you would like to see first?” Demetri asked as the doors closed behind you

 “Do you guys have a garden?”

 Y/Ns POV

 Geez, you would think they turned into actual stone.

“Did I say something?”

 “Well cara…it’s uhh it’s a bit complicated.” Must be if he was having trouble coming up with something, Felix… he had been mostly stoic since the two of you had met, but Demetri so far had all been harmless flirting and an over abundance of confidence.

“I mean it’s a yes or no question.”

“Y/n. There was only person who cared about having a garden here and she was killed ages ago. It was Marcus’s wife.” Felix tried to explain

“Is that why he seems so sad?”

“Unfortunately, no one’s gone in her garden since. We aren’t really sure if he would want that. It’s a bit of a touchy subject around here.”

You were pretty sure they had kept walking just to get out of hearing distance and even then it was so hushed even I could barely hear it. “No one even tried to maintain it for her sake? Or his?”

Their silence somewhat scared you. But there was no way you were going to be stuck inside all day. So when Demetri finally offered you were relieved, “We could still take you there.”

“If you don’t mind, if Marcus says anything just say I was insistent on it. Because I was going to be anyway.” You shrugged and offered to stand behind the two so they could lead the way. You also wanted to admire the castle without looking like a child in a museum. The palace seemed to wind around like a maze. You remembered Demetri telling you about how they fed, no wonder so many people fell for it, it felt as if you stepped in a different era. It would be an excursion most tourists would love to take, the history in here must be rich. You wondered how much had been updated.

“Y/n?” Felix asked

“Huh? Sorry just lost in thought.” You looked down in embarrassment, you felt bad at ignoring them. You wondered how long you’d been zoning out for.

“It’s alright cara, we’re just letting you know the garden is right through these doors.” Demetri smiled

Well they weren’t kidding, the garden was long gone. But it hadn’t been ill maintained. You could tell someone had once tried to trim and possibly keep the garden going. Probably Marcus. Who knew when they had given up, but even in the barren space it was relaxing and beautiful nonetheless. You wondered if you could use your gifts on it, but maybe it would be better to ask. Marcus really might not appreciate bringing back a memories he wished to bury along with his late wife.

Felix’s POV

It was easy to see that y/n wanted to try and help the garden in its dismal state. You were surprised when she asked to see the other parts of the castle. It saddened you to see her spirit dampened. For whatever reason you were still seemingly unable to say anything. She only seemed to cheer up when you arrived to the last spot on the tour.

“So this is the famous library I’ve heard about?” She asked, running her hands across the backs of the old covers

“Yes cara, we’ve got almost everything you could ever think of. We try and update it every once in awhile.”

Y/n simply nodded, you could feel something tugging at you. Begging for you to talk to her.

“Is everything alright y/n?” You asked, hating your decision the second you opened your mouth. Your voice sounded menacing even to you, it was a wonder she wasn’t freaking out. Did you always sound like this? No one had ever said anything, and you were known to be a bit of a flirt here. You tried not to think about it.

“Yes, thank you Felix.” She did her best to smile brightly at you, you couldn’t help smile back and hoped she genuinely seemed to at least be all right in your presence. “it’s just been a long day.”

“Your room should be ready soon cara, we can show you the way if you’d like?” She nodded again and silently followed Demetri out of the library. You couldn’t imagine this life was easy. Running away from a newborn battle, practically being forced to come to a new country. It was a lot, and while no vampire slept she seemed…tired. More so than any of us here.

Heidi beat you to her room, “Hi! You must be y/n, I’m Heidi!”

“Hi Heidi, it’s nice to meet you.”

“Okay so we have some spare clothes that should fit but we can go shopping tomorrow. You can make this room look like whatever you want.”

“Oh, uhm thank you.” You noticed she began wringing her hands together, “you guys really don’t need to do all of this. You don’t even know me. I mean how can I be more useful than the two siblings?”

“Please, don’t worry it’s always nice to have someone new. Felix and Demetri will train you to protect yourself without your gift too, and then you’ll be unstoppable!” You forgot you would have to train her. She was probably not looking forward to that, didn’t she leave the newborns because she didn’t want to be involved in the fight.

Y/n nodded, forcing a smile “I do appreciate it, there’s just a lot going on today. I look forward to hanging out with you Heidi.”

“Perhaps we should let y/n get acquainted. We can check on you in a little while.” You offered. Demetri smirked and looked between the two of you to Heidi. She raised eyebrows and nodded to y/n, god these two. You were glad she hadn’t seen anything

“We’ll see you soon y/n.” Heidi linked arms with Demetri and headed off leaving you to awkwardly nod at her and follow behind them.

“You guys are the actual worst.” You said as you went into Heidis room. The two were laughing the second you closed the door behind you.

“Felix, she’s cute!” Heidi squealed

You didn’t even know how to react to that, Demetri spoke up next “She is quite lovely, I certainly would like to get to know her.” Demetri managed to grab one of Heidis perfumes that you instinctually threw at him

“Hey! Throw your own things.” She said as she snatched it from Demetris hand, “Felix you should say something to her.”

“What would I even say?”

“Demetri chuckled, “Come on Felix it’s obvious you feel it.”

You tried to ignore him, “I don’t know what you mean.”

Heidi gasped, “oh my gosh Felix! You absolutely feel it!”

“She could be your mate.” Demetri said seriously

“Stop.” Half worried she could hear you, half worried they were right

“Felix we’re your oldest friends. We know how you feel about it, but you quite literally cannot keep your eyes off of her.”

“She seems nice. I can figure out how she feels tomorrow.” Heidi chimed in after Demetri

“No. No figuring anything out. No one says anything.”

“Oh you’re no fun. You do deserve to find your mate Felix. You can’t deny it. You could at least see how far that pull will go. Don’t want to turn out like that Edward fellow.” Heidi tried to convince you

Demetri had stood up to walk around Heidis room. Stopping by the window. You and Heidi continued to argue for a bit. She was quite relentless.

“Sorry to interrupt dear friends but uhm, did we see y/n enter her room?”

No actually. Heidi answered for you, “I don’t think so why do you ask.”

“I do believe she found Marcus.” The two of you flashed to his side. Watching Y/n and Marcus sit in Didymes garden. Demetri and you shared a look before rushing off to find her and try to possibly diffuse a situation. Aro was by the door and held a hand up as the two of you arrived.

“Master, we’re sorry if our new guest caused any trouble we assumed she wanted to be alone.”

“It’s quite alright. She actually bumped into us and asked to see Marcus. Don’t need to read her mind to figure out why.” He nodded and the two of you went to see y/n stick her hands in the dirt small vibes wrapping around her hands. You noticed the fountain first, moss and vines seemingly filling the gaps and wrapping it with intricate designs. Flowers of every color began sprouting, flowers you hadn’t seen in centuries. You weren’t exactly sure it was exactly what it had looked like when Didyme was around. She had been gone before the volturi really became a thing. If she had even managed to do half of this…

You looked at Marcus, seeing a semblance of a smile for the first time. You wondered what it must be like to lose a mate. You wondered if you could ever make yourself that vulnerable. You couldn’t seem to help staring at y/n. She seemed to finally be smiling as she saw the garden come back to life. Aros head turned a second later when the twins footsteps approached.

“Ah Jane. How are you feeling my dear?” Aro amused as always at the tiny vampire

“Actually master I don’t think I’ve ever felt so rested. Still. I don’t appreciate not having a say in falling asleep for two days.”

“Well, if you hadn’t used your gift it wouldn’t have been that long.” Y/n leaned against the door as she appeared in front of them

“You should have just cooperated.” Alec spit out

Y/n just rolled her eyes, “I think I’ll retire to my room now if that’s alright with you.” She glanced at Aro who just nodded, she bowed her head and disappeared.

“Felix.” Your head turned to Aro. “It seems y/n might be struggling a bit with her stay. Would you try and help her settle in?”

“Yes felix, you are always great with the new recruits.” Demetri chided, it’s not like you had a choice. You simply nodded and headed towards y/ns room which you were just now realizing was almost directly next to yours.

You hesitated to knock. If Aro hadn’t said anything you would have let her take everything in herself. You had barely tapped on the door when y/n asked you to come in.

“Did they send you on babysitting duty?”

“Aro does seem to be worried about how you’re settling in.” You were shocked at how straight to the point she was.

“Don’t seem to be starting off too hot huh?”

“Just with the twins. Though to be fair most of us have wished we could say something at one point or another.”

“What you felt from Jane was probably not as bad as it could have been. And Alec…his power is a lot. He removes every sense sight smell hearing. You become paralyzed in a way. His gift can affect more than on person at a time so its probably worse in my opinion.”

“So what’s their story?” You knew exactly what she meant by that, but you weren’t sure if you should tell her. Everyone in the castle knew what the twins had been through, they didn’t hide it. Still, it might be a good way for them to work out some differences. “That bad huh?”

“It’s…not great.”

“Maybe when they take a second to stop hating me I’ll ask.” She stopped and looked at you for a second, “Felix if you want you can leave, I won’t run away I promise.”

“It’s not that.” You paused again struggling to figure out why nothing seemed sufficient enough an answer for her

“You know for someone who’s clearly there to intimidate people you look terrified right now.” You shook you head at her words, “is it because of my power? I won’t use it on you.”

“To be honest I think I’m just trying to figure you out.”

“There isn’t much to figure out. I don’t remember why I was up on that stupid mountain or how I was turned. I don’t know why I have this power only that I seem to really like flowers. And I don’t know why everyone thinks I can be if some use to them. It’s getting annoying!” Her voice slightly raised with every word she spoke. She seemed to realize this too she waved her hands into her and you noticed some not so pretty plants had begun to sprout around her. “That’s not exactly a perk either.” She crossed her arm and sat on the floor.

She almost looked as if she could cry. Your body seemed to move on its own. You found yourself next to her and your arms wrapped around her. Her head just leaned into your chest. The two of you stayed for a while before y/n cleared her throat. You found yourself not wanting to let go and doing it reluctantly

“Thanks for hearing me out Felix.”

“Of course.” You held out your hand. She offered a small smile and took it to help her stand. “I’ll uhm be nearby if you need anything.”

You dashed off without letting her say anything else.

“Felix it’s been a week.” Heidi came up next to you

“Don’t remind me.” Since your last encounter you and y/n seemed to both be avoiding eachother. While you thought it was for the best, it was driving you insane.

“Okay so talk to her. She barely leaves the room unless she’s training with Demetri and it’s almost tour day.”

“Why do you seem more frustrated than either of us.”

“You’re both idiots. And I can almost guarantee I’m not.” She was right. All you did during your free time was pace and think about walking the short distance to talk to y/n about the pull he was feeling. He’d never been scared of anything and y/n had been right she seemed to immediately know he was terrified of what he’d been feeling. To make things worse every time her and Demetri came out after training he couldn’t help but seeth with jealousy and rage. You often had to force yourself to leave to not make a scene. Demetri of course, knew exactly what he was doing and tried to persuade you to train her instead. You decided you’d rather be mad than be in the same room. You couldn’t subject her to everything that came from even possibly being involved with you.

“You know…she probably going to get sent out on missions soon. Aro and Caius really like her and Marcus thinks she’s best thing to grace this castle. You’re going to have to work with her eventually.”

“Will you just—shhh. I know alright. I cannot even speak to her without sounding like a complete fool.”

“Well, if you don’t do something she’s going to end up falling in love with Demetri.” She teased

“Don’t.” You growled

“Who’s going to fall in love with me?” Demetri slid in next to you guys

“No one.”

Heidi scoffed, “y/n. At least she will if Felix doesn’t man up.”

“Oh really Felix, she’s quite nice if you try and talk to her. I would know.” If you weren’t in a common area you would have knocked Demetris stupid grin off of his face.

“Where is she anyway? Didn’t you guys have training?” Heidi asked

“She said you needed her like 30 minutes ago.”

“Well where is she?” You began worrying she had left the castle after all. The last thing you wanted to do was force her back

“She’s….oh gods.” Demetri sped off and you and Heidi followed. You both almost crashed into his sudden stop. “Alec. Back off.”

Y/n was covered in a black cloud. Demetri and you rushed to Alec’s side.

“Back. Off.” He repeated

“What will you do about it?”

Your hand pushed him against the wall freeing y/n from his gift temporarily. Demetri and Heidi grabbed Alec.

“Alec. Come.” Heidi ordered, Alec’s eyes became hazy as he blindly followed. Demetri looked over at you already holding y/n and nodded before leaving.

“Are you okay?”

Y/n shook her head. “Need. To find him.”

“You don’t—“

“Not his fault.” And with that’s she followed after him. “Heidi Dem!”

The two stopped when they heard his name. Alec turning around as well. “He didn’t do anything. I asked him to.” You froze behind her, what?

“Why would you ask him to use his gift?”

“Well, I felt his sisters. I wanted to know about his…”

“Cara, you really should be more careful.”

“I know. You guys left so quick I didn’t get a chance to explain. His gift really is no joke. Sorry Alec.”

“They would have figured it out.” He shrugged off Demetri and nodded towards y/n. Disappearing who knows where.

“Sorry about worrying you. I probably should have told you what I was actually doing.” She apologized to Demetri, you tried not to let it get to you but it was not going well. Heidi raised an eyebrow at you.

“You don’t have to apologize cara. You can make it up to me next time we train.” Demetri smirked at you as y/n turned around to go back towards her room. Daring for you to pick who you would go after. You sighed as you decided to go follow y/n. You knocked lightly on the door but there was no answer. You paused perhaps she simply did not want to see you. You should just walk away. Your feet rained glued to its place,

“Y/n?”

“Come in Felix.”

The door seemed to open on its own. You looked to see a vine pulling the door wide. You hadn’t been in here since the first day she arrived at the palace. Heidi had helped her decorate it to her own taste. The room looked like something out of a book.

“How can I help you Felix?”

“Alright what is it?”

“What are you talking about?”

“What happened with Alec?”

“Nothing I already told you.”

You appeared in front of her. You began talking her behind her ear. Your fingers barely brushing against hers. She stayed still not entirely sure what you were doing or going to do to her. You grabbed the flower that she had placed in her hair hair, she always had one decorating her person, you twirled it in your fingers gently bringing it in front of her.

“You’re lying.”

A= Affection (how do they show affection)

Heidi is probably one of the best at this because she willing to learn your love language instead of doing what’s most comfortable to her, she will ensure you don’t go a day without knowing how she feels about you.

Likewise, she wants you to understand her love language. She a big words of affirmation girl and I’m sorry but you’re going to have to be immune to her gift for her to even consider you as a mate. She very insecure about your actual interest in her so unless she knows her gift doesn’t work on you she won’t be able to trust the relationship isn’t based off of her powers.

B= Beautiful (what is their pet name for you)

Heidi keeps up with the times, she will call you babe, baby or beautiful. Do not use beautiful for her though, she has started to hate that that’s the only way she’s known as when in reality she’s pretty genius to keep the whole coven a secret while still feeding them. I also headcanon that she does something similar to Jasper in that she has a connection on the outside for any secret identities or they may have or need.

C= Cuddles (Are they a cuddly person?)

Not at first. Heidi comes from a very harsh background (thanks to smeyers hate for any woman other than herself) her trauma forced her to adapt and form her gift, however she rarely uses it for herself. There are times when she’s been quite depressed and asked an all too eager vampire to follow her to bed only for her to regret it instantly. When she meets you she worries your immunity to her gift will wear off or that maybe you were never immune to her gift at all and she’s manipulating you. It’s where the words of affirmation comes in, you need to be specific on what you love about Heidi. Believe me she will reward you immensely because she loves hard. Once she lets her guard down (hehe puns) she isn’t leaving your side unless she’s getting your meal. Even while she’s making her next great scheme she will have her foot or hand at least touching you. She enjoys any kind of cuddles, she loves jumping into your arms or you jumping into hers and relaxing together.

D= Domestic (Do they want to settle down? What kind of future do they want)

Of course she’s going to want to settle, hello???? She will convince Aro to throw a wedding/ball to celebrate and Aro will comply because 1) you don’t bite the hand that fees you and b) he loves a good reason to throw a ball he literally glides away to go tell Sulpicia and Athenadora

E= End (How would they break up with their partners if they had to? What would make them do that in the first place?)

Probably early in the relationship she will try and break up with you once in fear that her gift is somehow manipulating you. She will cry and say very hurtful things about both of you and how you guys shouldn’t work out. This will take maybe three days before she apologizes when she realizes you don’t come chase her. Or if you do come chase her she’s not going to fight it, she loves you too much to stay away. Nothing else would get her to leave you.

F= Fear (Whats something that terrifies them)/ Fiance (How would they propose)

As you can guess by my previous statements her biggest fear is not being properly loved, if you’re for sure a shield she will feel much better but then her fear will turn into a what if situations when you’re sent on missions.

Bestie you’re proposing periodt there’s no way she’s going to ask. Unlike Renata who wants to be proposed to just because, Heidi needs to know you want her she’s not going to ask and feel like she’s guilting you into anything. She will be the one drop major hints though

G= Gentle (How gentle are they emotionally, physically?)

On every extreme, overly gentle. She’s a people person first and foremost. She also is going to do her damndest to know you to every extreme she might know you’re having an off day before you do. Especially if she finds you as a human first she would pick up on the snacky cues, period pains, anything. You’ll be turned but Heidi has some more leeway in the castle.

H= Hugs (Are they a hugger? What do their hugs feel like? How much do they like to hug?)

Her hugs are bear hugs always. The jump into you and won’t let go until you do kind of hugs. Also when you’re sad her reassuring hugs could make anyone forget what they were upset about

I= I love you (how soon did they know they were in love? How long did it take to say the words?)

She knew almost immediately and that’s what terrified her, she brought up conversation the second she couldn’t hold it in anymore so maybe a month? Max 2

J= Jealousy (Do they get jealous easily? Do they try and make you jealous)

You’re never really apart except for missions so no. She’s insecure about the love being real not the amount of love you have for eachother. Besides after a certain point she stops worrying about her gift and then she’s super secure. She knows she’s a catch she just worried you thought that for the wrong reason in the beginning

K= Kisses (what do their kisses feel like? Where do they like to kiss you?)

Heidi has different kisses for different times of the day if you know what I mean. She likes to make out when she has a chance to take things further and get you riled up but she makes sure that she regularly places her hands on your cheeks gently to kiss you. You are almost guaranteed a kiss everytime you walk into a room or she does.

L= Littles (Do they want kids? What are they like around kids? How many?)

Not possible and she wouldn’t want any anyways, she thinks they are cute but she’s never been one to find them endearing enough to want. She never wanted to bring one up in the human world because her life was not fit for it and she certainly doesn’t feel like it’s fit for her now. Still though she has run into children a few times and she Ioves to play with them, she’s really good about playing with them and telling stories. And she loves to hold little ones

M= Mornings Memory

She remembers feeling indebted to Hilda for saving her from a terrible life of being forced to needing to sleep with a man to survive. Her human life had given her no pity. She clearly remembers Aro finding her old coven. She always knew they never really hid themselves but she thought it was enough for the slaughter of her coven. She wishes her need for survival hadn’t outweighed her love for the old coven. She also wished Victoria would have kept her mouth shut, after speaking to Aro she knew she could have convinced him to spare her sisters. There are times she wishes she had run or died with her coven mates, she loves her new family but hates that her sisters are gone. The guard worried what the news of Victorias death would do to Heidi, but more than she blamed herself she blamed Victoria for what happened. She shut down for years after that. Only speaking when it was tour day and closing herself off for most of the day in her own quarters.

N= Nights Newborn

Her newborn phase went by pretty easily. Hilda allowed her to find anyone who had try and abuse her for her beauty and have them to satiate her thirst. She was never interested in fighting and had no issue on that end that does not mean she was not easily angered by a human who was overly confident in bedding her, she pretty good at holding her anger until the way and any of his friends were alone and showed them who they were dealing with. Any survivor made sure to watch their tongue when addressing any woman afterwards

O= Open up (When do they feel comfortable enough to open up? Is it all at once or painfully slow? Do you have to dig?)

She is someone to air out everything so you know what you’re dealing with and to see if you will judge her various lives or be afraid of her past. Probably within the first week but this is a first date topic so you will know right away, she’s an open book

P= Patience (Are they quick to anger? How do they calm down?)

She can be quick to shut down and become a stone wall of sorts where it’s impossible to get her to open up or communicate effectively but it’s a rare thing for this to happen. She doesn’t like shutting you out and wouldn’t want that to happen to her so she tries her best to take a breather and talk things out but she may quite literally leave the room for half an hour to an hour to calm down and be ready to listen

Q= Quiet/Quizzes(What do they like to do when they have time to be alone? What fun things do they remember about you? Do they remember everything?)

Heidi only really needs and wants alone time when she’s coming up with ways to lure people to Volterra. She’s spent centuries without a mate and hired when the rest of the guard is in missions, she sees no need for alone time. If you want it she will let you be but I’ll be honest not for long. She will conveniently ‘forget’ or just pop back in to check on you. If you keep avoiding her she will probably pout and give the silent treatment for ignoring her for too long.

Heidi remembers specific dates you enjoyed so on days the two of you can leave the castle you can find fun things to do that are in your comfort range

R= Recovery (How you take of them and vice versa after a battle?)

She prays her mate isn’t gifted so you aren’t anywhere near a battle. She’s not a fighter and Aro sees no need to ever send her out on those kinds of missions, she isn’t going to need to be taken care of. However…you? Injured due to someone else? Even Felix takes step back when Heidi is angry it takes a lot and when she’s out for vengeance it isn’t a pretty sight for anyone involved. She will push the hair out of your face and due a quick check to make sure nothing is wrong before going after the idiot who touched you

S= Safety/Solution (How protective are they? How do they solve problems)

See above. Very. Like I said due to Victoria freaking her coven out all of them were quickly unalived, she doesn’t hold it against Aro but when she met you it all changed pretty quickly. Heidis gift isn’t exactly necessary but it is convenient and Heidi definitely will or has pulled the ‘you owe me’ card to the Kings in order to keep you out of harms way. If you’re gifted they will try to only send you it absolutely necessary

T= Try/ Touch (How much effort do they put in? When they need or want your touch what do they do? How often do they do this?)

Her love language isn’t physical touch but with how much she wants to be constantly connecting with you it might as well be. Even around other people Heidi wants to be next to you at all times. She isn’t entirely subtle either, she will link her arm in yours when she wants attention. If you’re on a computer or game she will rest her arms on your shoulders and watch you until you finish whatever it is you’re doing. Your hands are almost always linked

U= Ugly Side (What a pet peeve of yours they have? Bad habits?)

The worst of her is what you’ll see at the beginning of the relationship due to lack of trust on her part. A slightly annoying pet peeve is that she is absolutely going to suggest things to fix your outfit 9/10 times she’s right and it’s annoying. She also will randomly surprise you with tons of new items to wear just because and it can be overwhelming if you struggle to accept ‘just because’ gifts

V= Vanity (Do they concern themselves over how they look?)

Yeah. It’s Heidi she takes pride in how she looks and there’s nothing wrong with that tbh. She doesn’t do dress down or comfy days she is always dressed up. She’s comfortable when she feels like she looks good so she is always ready to go

W= Whole (What makes them feel complete?)

She wishes she had met you when she had been with her all women coven it was honestly a peaceful thing time. The closest she get to feeling totally whole is when the guards aren’t on missions and you and her join them all for some kind of family game night.

Y= Yuck (What do they not like in a partner?)

Messy and not touchy. Don’t get me wrong she can handle a mess, she herself can get quite messy when she is going through her closet and reorganizing but I mean like a messy human with food. Leaving food or trash around, mmm no she will glare at you for purposefully not throwing something away or leaving it for later. And if her mate isn’t touchy it isn’t a dealbreaker she is just going to doubt how much you like her for the first little bit

Z= Zzzzz (How do they sleep? Sleeping Habits?)

When she’s done with guard duty she tries to help anyone who wanted to change things up or hasn’t really decorated their quarters yet. Her and Chelsea have really gotten good at interior decorating and like helping the new guards set up their room. If it’s okay with the guards out in missions she will help make their rooms nice for when they come back. The only one who doesn’t like this is Felix.

In the Breaking Dawn book, Maggie growls at the Volturi when Aro lies to Renesme, could you do a head canon of what the general feel was during that moment, like what was Maggie thinking after she did it, how did Liam and Siobhan react, how did other vampires on both sides of the conflict react…

I do love a good worldbuilding ask they are my favorites and this ask? Anon you’re amazing I do apologize for making this a bit long though 🤍

First we know Maggie’s gift is a no fail lie detector. While I am 99.999999% certain her gift was mostly to prove the volturi were evil (which we do not believe here) and give meyers precious self insert proof that they are not good people. Her gift is more than being able to tell when someone one is lying. The illustrated guide makes it sound as if Maggie’s gift is somewhat similar to Jaspers, she can tell not only when people lie but when they seem uncomfortable in a situation they may try and lie in. Often figuring out the actual truth in the process.

However, her gift is not something she can control. Keep in mind that while Aro does know that Refrigerator is not an immortal child he is right in that no one knew she wouldn’t be dangerous or able to uphold the secret. Now I don’t remember for sure what he lied about, I believe he told Reeses puffs that he wouldn’t harm her parents. But again Restitution is still a child Aro is not going to say “sorry kid im about to unalive your whole family.”

BUT! Maggie knows this is one of those white lies but she’s surrounded by the biggest amount of vampires she’s ever seen. The Romanians have been telling stories of what they used to do to people and exaggerating what the volturi did to them. Maggie is stressed, okay? With all of the stress and pressure the growl comes out on it’s own. We’ve seen this action come from a lot of the other vampires in high stress situations. But again high stakes here. My guess is that the second she let her growl out is she knew what a mistake she had mad. The Cullens and Denali already have a bad picture courtesy of Edward and Eleazar so they all think ‘I knew it. They just came to kill us.’

Now she knows that they don’t want to kill everyone and she probably tries to signal Siobhan and Liam. Liam immediately goes into fight mode though he doesn’t see Maggie admit she was wrong and it’s not like she can explain why Aro was lying because again Recess is right there. Siobhan probably figured it out and hopes with everything in her that something is figured out so they don’t have to fight, she is probably debating taking Liam and getting Maggie out of there.

The Amazonian covens, Benjamin and Tia and the nomads are probably unsure what’s really going to happen. They’ve heard plenty on both sides. The nomads, well honestly I doubt they would stay push comes to shove. They don’t actually have loyalties to anyone and Peter and Charlotte were only there for Jasper who is awol at the moment. The Romanians are probably muttering to the crowd and edging them in anyway they can. Because they knew it! The volturi are ready to kill them all just like their old coven. 🙄

Now the Volturi. Aro is probably sighing because this isn’t what he meant. Caius is probably excited he gets to do something plus he’s sick of the Cullens getting away with things, and Marcus well Marcus isn’t even a person at this point. Now, the guard is half ready to leave and half expects something to happen because why else gather all these witnesses.

Maggie knows if he wanted to Aro had an actual charge against the Cullens. After all they had Charlie in the loop and all of the people in the reservation technically. If Aro wanted to he could have killed the Cullens whenever he wanted to including the time Edward went to Volterra. Because Bella running through a fountain towards sparkles would have gotten the attention of at least one person and you can’t change my mind.

Luckily Alice found Nahuel and the rest is boring history. But had Alice not come back Maggie’s growl may have been the catalyst for a lot of people to sway against the volturi. Or at least to stand their ground.

A/N: I haven’t actually write anything in a hot minute but school and this whole moving process has been kicking my butt, so I apologize hopefully I’m able to get out more these next two weeks. Also sorry for the crappy summaries I now remember why I opted to not put them in before 😅

Summary: Reader debates breaking things off with Alec after feeling like their relationship is going nowhere. Will he be able to work things out with her?

The castle could get so boring. I mean I understand not celebrating holidays after being around for so long. But never? I guess to be fair Valentine’s day isn’t celebrated worldwide, but why not celebrate it? It was a cute holiday idea. I mean, when you first came you had learned very quickly that being mated to a member of the elite guard would come with its challenges, especially when it was on of the infamous twins.

 Alec had taken a week before he spoke a word to you. And he only spoke to you because you threatened to leave if he kept ignoring you. All he had said to you was that he wasn’t ignoring you. It was so frustrating, you still packed up your things. You had talked to Marcus and he asked you to give it two weeks. Well, must have talked to Alec because a week and a half later he finally sat next to you and asked some questions about yourself. You remember being in the rec room with Demetri and Heidi, you also remember being too dumbstruck to respond for a bit. It didn’t help that Jane was glaring daggers at you. A few days later he told you the story of how he was turned, another factor that made you want to stay.

 You wouldn’t stay here and be the only one making an effort here. You were tired of always trying to understand why he would act the way he did. He was allowed to be cold and distant. Jane was allowed to say cruel things to you. You however, you weren’t extended that same courtesy. You couldn’t yell at Jane, Alec wouldn’t allow that. You couldn’t talk to Alec about how you felt, he’d probably say you were being ridiculous. Even if you tried to leave though, Demetri would probably be told to track you down. But maybe he wouldn’t? I mean its not like Alec actually cared about you. God, this sucked. You knew you’d have to be changed regardless so I guess Demetri would end chasing you down. You could talk to one of the leaders, but they all had a trial today. You decided to write a note telling them you were ready to be changed, and when they found you they could whatever they wanted. But you also made sure to write that you would not go back to the volturi regardless.

 No more games. If he wants to continue to be distant, then that’s what he’ll get. You looked over at the box next to your bed. You had made little cards for everyone in the castle, you had half a mind to burn them all but you decided against it. You were looking at your departure letter when Heidi came into the room.

 “Y/n, whats all this?” She asked gesturing to the box

 “Just some cards for you all, would you mind taking them to the throne room for me?”

 “Sure hun. Is Alec’s in here?”

 “Yeah. His is the biggest one.” You would miss her. She grabbed the box and rushed away. You used this time to head towards the exit. Unfortunately, you ran into jane when you got to the bottom of the stairs.

 “Where are you going?” You decided to ignore her and keep walking, she stepped in front of you, “Are you seriously ignoring me, human?”

 “Jane, I don’t have time today. You can insult me later.” You tried to step around her again but she her arm stopped grabbed your shoulder, “I don’t think Alec will like to know how youre treating me.”

 “Then go tell him.”

 “She doesn’t have to tell me anything.” Damn it. Now how were you going to leave?

 “Im not in the mood to be yelled at right now Alec. So am I going to have to go to the room or not?”

 You saw the shock in Alec’s face before his face snapped to his sister. “Jane. Don’t.” You felt Jane tense up next to you before rushing away. Soon you were stuck at with a very clearly upset Alec.

“So what was that?”

 “Nothing.” Just fed up with everything that’s all. But, as much as you hated to admit it, even with the lack of attention you would miss Alec. You understood why he was so reserved, you just hated how he let Jane walk over you. You were supposed to be his mate, he couldn’t stick up for you once? Except for just now, hes never told Jane to back off.

 “Y/n? What is it.”

 “I don’t want to talk about it Alec.” You turned around and began heading up towards the room. You would need to figure out when to leave but Alec might as well know. If he got upset you’d rather his gift be aimed at you towards rather than someone else in the guard. Alec walked quietly behind you until you got to your room. You waited till you heard the click of the door before you let out the sigh you were holding and laid down on the bed.

 “Y/n. What is it?”

 You grabbed a pillow and held it over your face, not that he wouldn’t still be able to hear it. “I want to leave.” You felt a gust of air and knew Alec was right next to you.

 “Why?”

 “Because I’m tired Alec. I’m just tired.”

 “I haven’t been doing enough.” It was statement, but it sounded like a question. You took the pillow off to face him. Your eyes landed on the letter you left on the desk, and his own eyes followed. He was over there before you could blink, tearing open and reading the letter.

“You aren’t planning on staying here? You don’t have to stay in this room?”

 “You could always stick Chelsea on me.” You said numbly.

 “Do you actually think I would do that?”

 “I don’t know, its not like you’ haven’t let Jane use her gift on me right?”

 “Y/n. Shes my—”

 “Your sister. Yeah, I know. And I’m supposed to be your mate. But I’m the one who gets talked to for upsetting her. I cant push you because you’ll shut down and stop speaking to me. If I try and celebrate anything in this boring castle Jane will laugh and more often than not you’ll join her.” You were surprised at the steadiness of your voice. You weren’t sure how because you felt like crying.

 “I—I didn’t realize.”

 “Yeah, well.”

 Alec came to sit next to you again. “Why go through the effort to give me the card for today then?”

 “Because Alec. As much as I want to hate everything about it here. I cant stop caring about you. About the guard. About everything. I’m stuck in this world now. But I cant keep putting in all of the work.”

 He went silent. You were pretty sure that meant your conversation was over. There would often be times he would just walk out. You almost expected it. Instead, he reached his hand out, “Could you come with me. Please?”

 As much as you wanted to stay, you still ended up taking his hand. He led you down to the gardens. You weren’t sure why, it was starting to get dark. Your mouth dropped the second you got outside. There were lights hanging over the small table. On the table were candles and a covered dish of some kind. And there roses everywhere,

“Alec…what is this?”

 “Well, if I’m being honest. Heidi told me a while ago that you seemed unhappy. I didn’t think it was true.”

 “That doesn’t really explain this.”

 “Demetri and Felix talked to Marcus. To afraid to talk to me themselves of course. Marcus confirmed our mate bond was deteriorating.”

 “Lovely, so it took Marcus for you to even notice.” It took everything in you to not walk back in. Alec must have noticed you roll your eyes because he squeezed you hand a bit tighter.

 “Wait. Y/n. Please. You’re right. About everything.”

 “What?”

 “I don’t—I’m not good with people. Even in my human life its always been me and my sister. I know I…excuse the things she does in front of you. I don’t know how to balance having anyone else. I don’t talk to the guard really unless theres a mission. I don’t know how to do this.”

 “Do you even want to do this?”

 He started nodding, “I actually made you this.” He pulled a card out of his coat. You’d never seen Alec look so vulnerable. He looked down at the ground as if this was an elementary or primary school activity. You hated that this made you smile. You hated being this empathetic to him, and yet you still squeezed his hand a bit harder to try and calm him.

 “You made this? Did all of this?”

 “I wish I could say I did, Demetri and his mate told me what to make and how to set things up.”

 He led you down to the table. He pulled out the chair for you to take a seat. You didn’t know what to say.

“You don’t have to worry y/n, I won’t force you to stay with me.”

 “Alec, if you want me to stay here, I need you to stop trying to shut me out.”

 Alec was suddenly next to your chair. This time he was on his knees as he looked up at you, “If you stay I promise to try and be better.”

 It was like you said, you were completely entangled in this life. In Alec. As much as you wanted to say know you knew you didn’t want to be away from him. It was as if all of the emotions you were holding back burst through, and you felt tears start falling from your eyes.

 “Y/n? I’m sorry,” Alec began panicking, shutting down. “I can help you get everything ready.”

 You grabbed his hand as he turned away. “Alec. Just wait.”

 You could see him shutting down, preparing to protect himself. You tugged him over closer to you,

“You said you were going to try, right? So can you just stay?”

 “Okay.” But instead of sitting back down at the table he led you to the fountain. You realized he was still holding your hands, “So, you wont leave me?”

 It was interesting. Seeing Alec seem so vulnerable. Almost childlike, like if I said the wrong thing he would run away. Maybe hide. You weren’t sure how this would work, if he would actually change. You nodded but you were so exhausted, you leaned into him and he caught you.

“I am so sorry, I see I haven’t been doing enough. I swear I’ll get better.”

 You couldn’t stop sniffling, “What if it doesn’t get better?”

 “I swear it will. If it doesn’t I wont stop you.”

 “I want you to want me, to want to be better.”

 He pulled your face to his and began kissing, deeper and harder than you’d ever thought possible for Alec.

“Just don’t leave me, and I’ll spend the rest of my life showing you otherwise, sweetness. I’ve been loving you for quite some time.Now.” He said suddenly, “it is Valentines day, and Heidi said it was one of your favorite holidays. She said I should do something so I got those chocolate covered strawberries.”

 You couldn’t help laugh, “That’s not fair, you can’t even eat those with me.”

 “I mean I could but it probably wont be very good. I could feed them to you?”

 “You don’t have to do all of this Alec, its okay to take baby steps.”

 He smirked as he stood up and offered his hand to you again, “I’ve never really been one to walk away from a challenge.”

Can I Request the volturi kings (poly or separate either is fine) with a mate who feels like they aren’t good enough for them. Like maybe they are bit more childish and scatterbrained (maybe they have adhd and/or dyslexia) for their age.
