Hey, everyone! You want to pull the ultimate prank against the Republican party? I mean this would be EPIC!
On November 5, 2024, all 50 million US citizens between 18 and 30 need to take to the streets and demonstrate against the erosion of civil rights for women, BIPOC, disabled, LBGTIAA+, and transgendered people. Take to the streets...and march right down to your polling station and vote! (Or, you know, early vote.)
This would be the flash mob to beat all flash mobs. The Republicans would never see you coming, because their whole strategy depends on keeping you depressed and disengaged.
Don't like the direction the Democrats are going? Take a page out of the Tea Party's book--they changed the direction of the Republican party by voting for it, and now they own it. Vote Democrat and nudge it leftward this election--then keep nudging it until you can take the wheel. Because the alternative is a hard right turn by the Republicans.
Not only would this be a lifesaver for countless people who are not "White male Christian Conservative Americans", it would also be funny as hell. Want to see Trump have a meltdown on international television? Want to see pollsters and political pundits say "What the fuck?!" Want to see the newspapers suddenly flock to gay nightclubs and college campuses to interview "average voters" instead of rural diners?

Regardless of your political affiliation, always vote at every election. For everything from abortion to minimum wage, the amount of time it takes to vote is minimal in comparison to the impact it will have on your life. People died for the right of universal suffrage. It really is that important.

Roe is not the end. Not even close. Clarence Thomas filed a concurring opinion calling to overturn the right to contraception, same-sex marriage, and privacy in the bedroom. This is their ultimate goal. If Republicans gain a majority, they are going to attempt to pass federal legislation on these issues, no longer making it a states’ rights issue either. Get every person you know to vote in this goddamn election—not because we can vote our way out of fascism, but because voting is the bare minimum. Get involved. Wake up and realize how unsafe you are. I know this is Tumblr, but I am a real lawyer telling you the Court has signaled that your entire lives can be upended. Do not be complacent.

So, I used to live in Ohio before I moved to Oregon. Ohio, where the Republican legislature banned abortion, forcing a pregnant ten-year-old to travel to another state to get an abortion.
But hey, I live in a "blue" state, Oregon, now. According to one profound political thinker in a post that went by recently, voting for Democrats is just as bad as voting for Republicans because Democrats in Democratic states never...etc.
So in Oregon, one of the things on the ballot first time I voted in 2018 was abortion. A ballot initiative wanted to stop Medicaid in Oregon from paying for abortions. Which made me go "Wait, what?" Because federal law in the US forbids federal funds from being used to fund abortion, including, you know, Medicaid funds!
And that's how I learned that the Democrats in the Oregon legislature had--years ago!--allocated state funds to pay for abortions for Oregon Medicaid recipients. They did this despite the opposition of the Republican legislators, despite the barriers enacted at the federal level by past Republican legislators. Because the Democrats thought, like I do, that abortion is part of medical care.
(The ballot initiative to stop this went down in flames, 64.5% to 34.5%. https://ballotpedia.org/Oregon_Measure_106,Ban_Public_Funds_for_Abortions_Initiative(2018) )
Oh, and one of the more recent ballot initiatives I had to vote on was one to force Republican legislators in Oregon to show up to work. Because despite not having the governorship, the state senate, or the state house of representatives, the Republicans deadlocked legislation by mass absenteeism, preventing the legislature from having the quorum necessary to do business. (https://ballotpedia.org/Oregon_Measure_113,Exclusion_from_Re-election_for_Legislative_Absenteeism_Initiative(2022))
But hey, no difference in the parties, amiright? /sarcasm

Vote for SASUKE!!
Hey I'm back! It's been YEARS since I last logged into this account. I don't even know if the people from back then are still here or if anyone even remembers me LMFAO
But i've seen this narutop99 worldwide poll rankings and...
Tumblr media
SASUKE is ONLY at 9th position!?? BELOW Sakumo!?? What!??? Where are the Sasuke fans? We all have to vote for Sasuke and get him at least to the top 5. Sasuke is literally one of the ONLY 3 characters to always be in the top 5, and now he's in danger of falling out of the top 10!! Naruto and Kakashi are close to the top 5 and might still end up in the top 5 at the end of the poll, ONLY Sasuke is in danger of falling out of it for the first time in this whole franchise. This is fucked up. Sasuke fans forget others and vote for Sasuke like crazy every day. Let this not be the first time he's out of the top 5, or even the top 10.
Tumblr media
I've seen some people say not to vote for him cause of some short manga. Don't listen to anybody!!! This is a popularity poll first and foremost and this ranking might have an effect on how he's treated in the Boruto Manga. And we know he's already treated like shit in Boruto. They might pull some bs and use him for Boruto's development. VOTE FOR SASUKE GUYS. All Sasuke fans from ss to sns should vote for Sasuke every day and get him to the top 5 at least. Don't let him drop out of the list. Poll ends on Jan 31st so there's only a few days. Dedicate 3 seconds, he deserves way better than 9th place!!!!! Go vote!!

In May 2023, the Heritage Foundation’s official X/Twitter account tweeted: “Conservatives have to lead the way in restoring sex to its true purpose, & for…ending recreational sex & senseless use of birth control pills.”

Bear in mind the ReThugliKlans have, by and large, been behaving like Nazis and murderous savages since Reagan. It's just that they're all "out of the closet" now.

With the absolute clown show going on in the UK right now I want to remind Americans to V O T E. Midterms are right around the corner. Read up on the questions that will be on the ballot and make absolutely sure that you put your vote in because that's the most legitimate piece of political power you have as a citizen. Broadly speaking, bad things move in American government when voter suppression works.
