I think it's interesting how it is canonical to the WoD universe that a lot of Toreadors endure an almost systematical cicle of abuse within their clan.

When toreador Sires embrace their Childer, they usually spoil them while they are Fledglings, even forming relationships with them, a lot of them being romantic. Sires often become the only people their Childer can trust in the vampire world, and they do not try to encourage their Childers to learn how to live alone.

Yet after those Childer are no longer fledglings, they are usually completely abandoned, left lost in a world they don't know how to live in without their sires.

And I do believe that cycle continues not only because Toreadors feel like they have grown and become who they are because of such an universal experience to their clan, but because after they're abandoned by the sometimes only person they truly trusted the most in the vampire world, their egos are completely destroyed.

And what better way to raise that ego once again, if not by making someone obsessed and reliant on you like you were on the one vampire that abandoned you?

Anyways, happy Valentine's day to toreadors who got abandoned by their sires.

Random other thing I wanted to add: I have a spc in my chronicle that is exactly like that. Auriel Zhao, he was abandoned by his sire and was left SO obsessed with him he actually put that sire into torpor with his own hands so he could keep him close. Yes, he is insane, but what vampire isn't? The thing is; even after he knew how that experience destroyed his sanity completely, he still did the same thing. Not only once, but twice. Because he needs to have his ego raised after everything. all the humiliation he put himself through to get his sires attention.

So I have a new Volgirre NPC in the chronicle, his name is Theo, representative of NYC sabbat.

Actor, sculptor, arts patron, serial killer and a "bodybuilder". In his free time enjoys kidnapping kine who lack artistic souls and turning them into art pieces. The NYPD knows him as the red eagle, a name he cares little about but considers somewhat of his Nom de Plume. His three (live) snake tattoos are named Cyrus, Sargon and Menes. They function as his pets, art pieces, adornments and occasionally advisors.
