So I know that there are many people who have done Good Omens Tarot and I do want to give them credit where credit is due. This project had started as a final project for a college course I was taking and this has been now over a year in the making, and only now was I aware of others doing the same online! I'm planning on doing the full 78 cards by myself. I have roughly 33 done, only 45 left to go!

they lay; the stars enveloping the moon 

words: 1030

The moon and stars love each other. They find their imperfections beautiful and enjoy the little moments. Pure fluff.

“Angel, come to bed.” 

Aziraphale heard a sleepy voice float throughout the flat. At this point, he could never even try to resist Crowley. He loved sleeping and laying with him. It was comfort; a home he always had but didn’t always embrace. But now was different, and he always embraced it. Loved embracing him. 

 So he finished the paragraph and closed his current read. As he walked, he miracled into pajamas that Crowley gifted him when he had begun to take to sleeping. He soon found the darkened room with a lanky figure sprawled across the sheets. While he knew Crowley wasn’t fully asleep, he still walked quietly and slid into bed as smoothly as he could. 

Crowley had moved his limbs out of the way for just a moment, only to return attached to the angel. He curled into him, savoring and taking in his warmth and comfort. He really couldn’t sleep without him now. He craved his angel in his dreams and in his thoughts, wanting him at all times. He had slowly stopped taking long naps because he would dream of Aziraphale and simply miss the real thing. Plus, Aziraphale never napped like he did, so it was always lonely. 

Aziraphale wrapped his arm around Crowley’s back, securing him to his side and into his heart. The angel pressed his cheek into his hair, desiring more contact and connection. 

They lay; the stars enveloping the moon. 

The stars soon reached out, feeling and admiring every crater and mark upon the moon. 

Crowley’s hand mindlessly moved on the angel’s skin. While he loved clothes, they could get in the way. He graced his fingers across the angel’s stomach, finding a familiar smoothness.

Every angel had gold markings, and Aziraphale’s gold ran along his ribs and across his stomach. Crowley discovered them their first time together and kissed his way along them after Aziraphale reacted to showing them. The reminder of heaven in that moment was too much to take, but Crowley looked at them differently. He simply found them as a part of him; he was an angel, but that is only a tiny piece of him. Crowley only thought of them in the context of Aziraphale, never heaven. 

He often found himself grazing the marks. It was always unconscious at this point. But he loved the angel so deeply and profoundly, touching these marks were simply a roadmap to show a little bit of that love. So he did it again tonight, a way to soothe both into a peaceful sleep. He moved his fingers along the gold as Aziraphale’s breath slowed. And still, he continued.

He looked up to the angel’s face, calm and blissful in his sleep. He smiled to himself, love pouring out of him and into the angel. 

He curled himself further into the moon and traced the marks until night took over and sleep was found. 

----

Light slipped between the curtains, spreading a soft beam into the room. The stars still wrapped around the moon, but pressed into his back. 

Facing the window, the sun disturbed and woke Aziraphale. Morning but still early, he savored the quiet city for a moment before flipping around and burying his head into Crowley’s chest. Unconsciously, he was squeezed closer by Crowley and slipped back into the night he had grown to love so much. 

Only an hour later and the angel’s body was ready to wake. The sun had settled itself fully in the sky. 

Aziraphale slightly stretched and shifted. His face moved up to be straight-on to Crowley’s face, opening his eyes to face the only part of his day that matters. 

Still feeling the drowsiness, he blearily looked to the demon’s face. Even through the haze, he could see the peace on his face. 

As his vision cleared, he focused more clearly on the freckles that covered his face and body. Like little constellations, he moved his eyes around them to connect the dots. 

He loved a lot of things about Crowley, but the freckles were a special detail. Represented a piece of his past that he still reminisces. Creating galaxies and constellations most would never see, but Crowley hopes they will try. 

Aziraphale sees them all on Crowley. 

He lightly traces some of the figures he imagines on his face. Aziraphale can’t resist smiling. 

He gently moves his fingers around, never wanting to stop. He finds Gemini and Virgo, Pegasus and Hercules before Crowley opens his eyes.  

Crowley has been awake since Aziraphale turned over. It was more peaceful to have his eyes closed and slip in and out of sleep than fully embrace consciousness this morning. 

After a while, he felt Aziraphale shift again and then felt his fingers. He was lucky he didn’t grow red hot in the face or jump when that happened. Aziraphale did this often, but usually when Crowley was actually asleep. 

So they both enjoyed the moment. Savored it. 

But soon Crowley needed to see his angel again and opened his eyes. 

He found his faces inches away from the angel with a finger still gently moving across his skin. 

At one point, he felt the same as Aziraphale had when he showed the gold marks. Almost ashamed of who he was, not wanting to show this side. 

But it was a part of him, a piece of his past that he did love. And Aziraphale helped to show him that, as he had with the gold. 

Aziraphale’s finger continued moving slowly. 

“Good morning,” Aziraphale whispered, sleep coating his voice. 

Crowley simply hummed in response and moved closer to press a tender kiss to the angel’s lips. Aziraphale responded with another kiss and they pulled away to find each other smiling. 

Aziraphale continued to drag his fingers across the constellations as they lay together. The day doesn’t need to start yet.

It is moments like these that make it better. The little things of touches and kisses, laying together and dreaming. The big things are wonderful and joyous and spectacular, but the tiny things they share add up. 

The moon and the stars surround each other, always finding the other and never wanting to leave.

Headcanon:

When Crowley was still the archangel Raphael in Heaven, he had one of the most ethereal, angelic voices of all the archangels, only second to Lucifer. Even after he fell he still has his angelic singing voice, and nobody knows why- He's also the only demon/fallen angel known to still have his wings after falling aside from Lucifer, and can somewhat still use his healing abilities.
