Im Käfer aufgewachsen, heute VW T5 Fahrer

Lange VW Kunde, dann viele Jahre Sauer-Pause, heute T5 Fahrer. Wie war das genau?

Volkswagen zu fahren hatte bei uns in der Familie eine lange Tradition. Mein Vater fuhrt schon seiner Zeit einen VW Typ3, später aber dann als Firmenfahrzeuge zahlreiche BMW. Meine Mutter blieb VW treu. Für mich bedeutete das quasi auf dem Rücksitz eines roten VW Käfers groß zu werden. Später hatte Sie einen VW KarmannGia und irgendwann später einen VW Polo GT, der wurde dann auch mein erstes Auto. Meine Eltern hatten damals gleich zwei VW Polo GT gekauft, einen in rot und einen in silberner Lackierung. Während der rote von den beiden das Auto meines Bruders wurde, bekam ich später nun den silbernen meiner Mutter.

Nachfolgendes Bild von ER Classic Cars zeigt das Modell meiner Mutter als Caprio, jedoch hatten sie ein geschlossenes Modell:

Ich kann zwar genau sagen welche VW wir alle und besonders ich gefahren haben bzw. gefahren bin, doch alle aufzuzählen würde hier zu weit gehen. Im Laufe der vielen Jahre waren es einige und es waren stets Neuwagen. Eigentlich ist der VW T5, den wir nun haben der erste VW Gebrauchtwagen für mich "ever".

Das erste eigene Auto vergisst man wohl sowieso niemals. Und bei allen Fahrzeugen in meiner Strum und Drang Zeit hatte ich verschiedene Änderungen vorgenommen. Sie es elektrische Fensterheber nachgerüstet oder den Kühlergripp auf Doppelscheinwerfer, wie beim Golf GTI umgerüstet. Mein erster Golf war tatsächlich in einem Braun-Metallik Lack, später entschied ich mich dann wieder für eine außergewöhnlichere Farbe. Aber auch der erste Golf war etwas schlecht verarbeitet. Da schlossen dann die Türen nicht mehr. Und das bei einem Neuwagen.

Unvergessen auch mein VW Golf Memphis in Montana-Grün. Der hatte mir allerdings einige technische Probleme beschert. EIn VW Vento hatte ich auch und war eigentlich sehr zufreiden damit. Der wurde aber dann von einem VW Golf Variant RollingStones abgelöst. Über das Auto gab es auch nichts zu meckern. Der hatte Platz, war als TDi sehr zuverlässig und hatte Reichweite!

Besonders gut bleibt mir mein VW Touran in Erinnerung. Ich denke im nachinein betrachtet der beste VW, denn ich bis damals mein Eigen nennen konnte. Nicht ganz so der dann erstmal letzte VW, ein VW Polo. Nicht immer glücklich war die Verbindung zu VW, das ein oder andere Auto hatte echt Mängel ab Werk verbaut. So bspw. der Golf mit elektronisch geregeltem Vergaser. Führ wenn er Lust hatte auch einfach mal von Selbst los oder ein Scheibenwischer flog einfach mal davon.

Naja, dann war lange Jahre Pause. Ich war einfach nicht mehr zufrieden mit VW, der Qualität, dem Service und letztlich waren die Preise auch zu einem Problem geworden. In dieset Zeit führ ich alles, hauptsache kein VW. Da war der geliebte MG F zu nennen, sowie ein Jeep Cherokee Ltd oder auch Mercedes, Ford oder Landrover. Jetzt aber ist es nun nach all den Jahren wieder VW und zwar der T5 ehemalig Postbus. Eine lange Autogeschichte...
