I can't believe the auction site didn't have video of this, but apparently this walking cane featured a button that would make the cats' tongues stick out when pressed! Source.

I used a walking stick for the first time today and I felt so so nervous but on my commute into work a lady told me she loved my stick and is getting one of her own soon. I told her the name of the site I got it from and we had a shouty conversation about it while I was going up the stairs and it just felt like I was talking about a cute pair of shoes or a dress! Yes it’s a mobility aid but it’s also something I but a lot of thought into picking out like I would anything else that I wear/carry!
Then an old woman using her own stick smiled and nodded at me on the way home! I felt like Barbie sitting on that damn bench!! I had been so scared of feeling “like an old lady”. tbh I had probably actually been scared of looking like a disabled person despite experiencing the physical pain and exhaustion of disability for the past year. Somehow hiding all that discomfort behind the exterior of a completely healthy person gave me hope that I could still fit in with all the normal able bodied people.
I knew I was going to look vulnerable and everyone would be able to see that I’m different and I constantly had this image of an old woman with a cane in my head and I was so afraid of looking like her. And then I saw her! And she smiled at me! And we both did a little laugh as we walked past each other because hey, look at us, so different in age and appearance and yet we have this one object in common, this thing that is allowing us to experience the world like we could before. Hers was flowery and mine was sparkly. I hope I see her again sometime.

I LOVE MY CANE!!
I have no leg pain at all???!! That's literally insane!?!! And no one commented on my cane, only the teacher asked what it was for and I said bad knees. None of my classmates cared?!!! Other regular people didn't care!!?! It's amazing! I felt so much more confident!!

My mum is definitely ashamed of me using a walking stick.
She’s just recommended using herbal remedies and pressure points to cure my pots so I can start ‘living life’ instead of looking like an old lady.

The Cane user for the day is Grampa Gengar from Pokemon Tales (I'll link the original post I was sent below)
Grampa Gengar holds his cane in his right hand firmly and tightly as he oversees the affairs of the Gengar homestead
Grampa Gengar seems like a refined well mannered gentleman and I'd love to make his acquaintance.
10/10

Unexpected benefits of using a cane
So I’ve been using a cane for about a week now. I originally got the cane for:
Balance
Taking weight off of my Bad Leg (pain management)
Preventing further injury to my Bad Leg
But after getting the cane, there’s been some unexpected positive results:
Service dog: I’ve been able to be more active, which means my boy is getting more exercise! He’s more energetic and receptive to training
Fatigue: My Better Leg is less tired and painful from compensating for my Bad Leg. I’m also able to just do more things before running out of spoons
Exercise: as mentioned, I’m able to walk around more, which is great because now I have more energy. I have ADHD, and being more active tends to help me concentrate better throughout the day.
Sensory management: being in less pain means that I don’t have to deal with that extra sensory input, which means I can tolerate more without having an autistic meltdown
Alignment/posture: having the cane at the right size helps prevent my knees from hyperextending and makes me keep my hips level to the ground. It also makes me stand up straighter while I walk, which will hopefully prevent my neuromuscular scoliosis from getting worse.
Anyways, here is your sign to get the mobility aid you’ve been considering!

I cannot figure out the correct search words to find what I'm looking for. Where do I put my cane when I'm sitting? Like if I'm out to eat, where do I put it? What's the pro tips on cane storage while you're sitting down so you don't loose it and it doesn't fall over.
