I made some funny comics a little while ago about the potential effects of Fukuzawa's ability on Chuuya's, and how it perhaps could make it revert to a pre-Arahabaki state.
I realized later that some of you lack the context for where that came from, and that I might be creating confusion, so this is a (hopefully) comprehensive walkthrough of things we learned in Storm Bringer that lead to this conclusion.
tldr; The lab created "Arahabaki" by manipulating an ability into a destructive force. That ability existed before the lab, and the nature of that ability is heavily implied to be the power to enhance other abilities through touch.
Explanation and sources below (so you can judge yourself) ⬇
- spoiler warning for Storm Bringer, hopefully written in a way that you'd understand even if you haven't read it yet -
Tumblr media
In Storm Bringer, Chuuya meets the scientist that was responsible for Project Arahabaki, Professor N.
Project Arahabaki, N explains, was the Japanese government's secret project to create an ability singularity they could have control over and freely use as a weapon.
What are singularities? Singularities are what happens when abilities clash in specific ways and create a new, unforeseen reaction. The easiest way to create a singularity is to pit two contradictory abilities against each other to create a paradox; examples included the ability to always deceive and the ability to always perceive the truth, and to have two ability users who can see into the future (*coughs* Oda and Gide) try to one-up each other. The result is usually much more powerful than the original abilities on their own.
Some singularities are said to have been explained as god-like interventions, because of their often destructive nature. This is what inspired the name "Arahabaki", after the mythical being (here's a post of the subject and I'll it link at the end too) These events are described as very rare.
Tumblr media
Like mentioned in that passage, there is another way to create a singularity: to have a single ability user use their ability in a way that contradicts itself. This is what the lab was trying to do.
For that explanation, Professor N gives an example. He first shows a video of a child, whose face is hidden from the camera, holding a coin (described as having a certain melancoly to it), with a moon and a fox engraved on it. The video is from one of the lab's tests. The child is made to recite some activation lines, which are directly taken from one of Nakahara Chuuya's poems, Upon the Tainted Sorrow (which does mentions a fox, as a fun fact).
Tumblr media
The coin then starts glowing, the glow turns into a black mass, and from there the experimentation goes bad: the coin starts attracting things and absorbing them, the space gets distorted, the child's vitals flatline, panic spreads and someone calls for an emergency stop, we hear a scream. The video ends.
N explains that the child in the video had the ability to enhance the ability of others. That child then used that ability on themselves, effectively enhancing the enhancement which enhanced the enhancing, in an infinite loop. That loop created a lot of energy; the surplus of energy was so intense its mass deformed space (physics!) and it created a black hole.
Tumblr media
Here's where it gets tricky: N claims that child died during that accident, that the child was absorbed by the black hole created by their ability. We never actually learn their identity.
But N is a lying liar who lies; he said about one and a half truths the entire book. The only reason he was telling them any of this was that he thought he'd get rid of all of them within the next few minutes. His objective was always to regain control over Chuuya, his pet project.
Plus, during the epilogue, we learn that Chuuya was assumed to have died during the war. That's what his parents think. That's what is officially recorded.
Furthermore.
Project Arahabaki was based off French research papers; someone else had done this kind of experimentation before, and their result was Verlaine.

Tumblr media
Verlaine's gravity-manipulation is a singularity. Better yet: Verlaine also has a Corruption state, named Brutalization. Their abilities are the same, because the lab copied the techniques that were used to create Verlaine when they worked on Chuuya.
Here's a passage of Dazai nullifying Corruption, at the very end of SB:
Tumblr media
"The self-contradicting skill, which was supporting the energy of a singularity". This passage confirms that the source of Chuuya's ability is, in fact, like the child's and Verlaine's, if any doubts remained. "[...] weakening the singularity's output. It wasn't long before it returned to its normal state, and the Gate closed." The Gate refers to releasing Arahabaki, it's basically a limiter, just like the passage above when talking about Brutalization. When Dazai nullifies Corruption, he gives that limiter the opportunity to come back and seal Chuuya's power away again, but does not stop the singularity, only allows it to go back to its stable state.
From all that, we can say that Chuuya's ability wasn't always gravity manipulation, but that it was another, unconfirmed ability that was exploited in such a way that it became a permanent, stable singularity that allowed him to have control over gravity.
-
Bullet point recap:
Chuuya's gravity manipulation comes from a singularity, like Verlaine, like that child;
You need a self-referencing/self-contradicting ability to create that singularity;
Such an event is rare;
There is a substantial amount of time spent describing a "random" child that was experimented on during the war;
That child created a black hole through their singularity;
That singularity was activated using a passage from Nakahara Chuuya's poems, while holding a coin that references it;
That child supposedly died;
Chuuya's parents think he died during the war;
N is a pathological liar with an agenda.
So no, there is no "confirmation" that Chuuya's ability was ability enhancement before the lab took him. But an author writes a story with an intent, so I am asking what Asagiri's intent was when writing all this, and if perhaps we weren't indirectly given the answer already.

Romance in Twin Coves
Tumblr media
Something I've been thinking about while working on the script for Twin Coves is how the romance works. I think I've talked before about how the romance in the game isn't just about flirting with the ROs enough. It's about who the MC is as a person, and thus not all ROs are going to fall for every MC. (You will know about halfway though the game if your MC has caught your desired RO's eye.)
I read an article awhile ago about treating romance in games like kindness coins vs a house of cards. (The article was here, but it now directs to a 404 page sadly.) With kindness coins... you just say the "right" thing the correct amount of times and voila romance unlocked. And that's a fine way to do romance. Certainly makes it easier on the writer. But that's not really how romance... works.
Saying the "right" thing to someone 15 times in real life doesn't equal romance. What about who you are as a person? What about who they are? Do you have things in common? How do you treat other people? Just complimenting someone, saying flirty things, and giving them a gift isn't how real love works.
Something I'm trying (emphasis on trying) to do in Twin Coves is have the romances be based on more then just saying a nice thing to get a point towards winning over the RO of your choice. The choices the MC makes throughout the game outside of the romance also effect the romance. Even little things like the song they pick in the car.
Of course, some ROs are easier to woo than others. That's true to life as well. Some ROs already have feelings for the MC, so there is probably very little the MC could do to ruin that. Some ROs are quite determined to keep their feelings out of it, and will take more effort. Not just flirting, but getting to know them and them getting to know the main character back. Building up a sense of trust. There is one RO who is very difficult to romance. I think it may even make some players mad as there is a very strict requirement for entering into a romance with him I don't think some players will want to make. (Actually, there's probably a couple that fit this description.) However, that's also true to life. Some things are deal breakers, for either the MC or the RO. Good news: there's eight other routes to pick from!
And, in a similar vein, not every route is going to appeal to everyone. You may have thought Eli was hot, for example, only to realize he's not for you once you get to know him. Or maybe a route you thought you'd hate will surprise you. That's definitely happened to me a few times. I put off a route thinking I wouldn't like the RO... only for that route to become my favorite.
This is also why there are no flirt indicators in the game. Because there are no kindness coins. I don't want players to think about choices as right or wrong - only as what's true to their MC. You may be surprised as to who you attract. Also, any option that is romantic is going to be pretty obvious. I also don’t want players to feel they have to make a certain romantic choice to win their RO over. Whether you go in for a kiss or feel it’s more true to the MC to wait… the RO isn’t going to be secretly keeping score on you.
(I am keeping score though. Just don’t look too far behind the curtain. Point systems are the only way I know how to program. I just don’t want it to feel like a point system, ya know?)
And for those who just wanna kiss everyone, goddamnit!! There is always the walkthrough 💙

hello tumblr, I have another silly korrasami ficlet for you, courtesy of a reply chain with the lovely @korrasamibottles about Korra being insatiable and Asami’s hands getting tired. brief spiciness ahoy btw
“Ow, fuck!” Asami hissed, dropping the wrench in her hand. It clattered loudly to the floor, nearly missing her foot. That would teach her to forego proper footwear on the factory floor again…
“You okay, boss?”
That was Chahna, one of the new assembly technicians Asami had hired. She was even younger than Asami, sharp-minded and mechanically skilled. Unfortunately, she also had a knack for making everyone else’s business into her own.
“Yes, Chahna, I’m okay. Saw this hubcap looking a little loose on my walkthrough and wanted to take care of it before I forgot.”
“It sounded like something hurt,” Chahna prattled. “Do you need to see a doctor or something?”
Asami tried to shake out her hand, but stopped when the pain, instead of quieting, radiated down toward her elbow.
“Maybe that’s a good idea. I was about to take lunch anyway— I’ll be right back.”
When Asami arrived at the clinic in the Dragon Flats neighborhood, she knew she would attract attention— she wasn’t exactly the usual clientele for the clinic in the humble working-class neighborhood— so she went around the back and rang the bell at the employee entrance.
A moment later, a familiar face appeared at the door.
“Oh, hello, Asami!”
“Hi Kya. Can you look at something really quick?”
“You know you’re dating a healer, right?” Kya asked.
“Yeah, but… you know, I didn’t want to bother her.”
***
Asami sat on the makeshift exam table while Kya examined her hand and forearm. Now that Asami looked at it, her right wrist did look a little swollen compared to the other one.
“My guess is a repetitive stress injury,” Kya said as she pulled some water from a skin and began to bend it around Asami’s hand. The cool blue energy felt immediately soothing. “Usually associated with doing the same movement too many times in a row. Have you picked up any new hobbies?”
“No,” Asami answered cautiously. “It’s been way too busy for that.”
“Interesting that it’s only the one hand,” Kya muttered. Suddenly, the flowing water stopped in place around Asami’s arm.
“How’s Korra doing?”
Oh spirits.
“Great,” Asami said too quickly. “She’s doing great, we’re… we’re great!”
“Mm-hm.” Kya had the faintest hint of a smirk on her face. “Have you gotten to spend much time together lately?”
“Well, no,” Asami said. “She’s been so busy with the spirit portals, we barely got to see each other at all until… last weekend.”
“Uh-huh.” Kya’s grin was now across her entire face. “I think I understand what’s happened here.”
Korra was starfished across the bed, sweaty and trembling, her hair a mess and her eyes watery with the onslaught of pleasure. Asami’d had her in several positions throughout the evening but this was definitely a favorite. They could kiss like this, and look into each other’s eyes. One hand held Korra’s wrists tight over her head while the other worked furiously between her thighs.
“Fuck, oh, fuck, Asami, I’m—ahh!“ Korra’s back arched as she came apart on Asami’s fingers with a wordless, shuddering cry. Asami stroked her through the aftershocks, until she felt the strong body beneath hers stop fluttering with the remnants of orgasm.
Asami had to catch her breath too.
“How many was that?” she asked, giggling and kissing Korra’s cheek.
Korra clearly had to think for a moment.
“I think maybe… eight?” Her pupils were blown wide and she smiled dreamily up at Asami.
“That’s pretty impressive,” Asami said, shaking out her right hand, which had first started to feel tired and was now solidly in “aching” territory, not that she’d ever admit it. Korra took her hand, kissed over each knuckle, then laid it once more on the patch of curls at the junction of her hips.
“Want to make it nine?”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Asami said, wishing it came out more convincing. In hindsight, maybe it hadn’t been the best idea to celebrate their first date night in weeks by testing just how long exactly Korra could go, but she’d never expected quite that level of stamina…
“Okay, hon, whatever you say.” Kya gave the water one last burst of charge. “We’ve all been there, you know.”
“Really?” Asami couldn’t help it, the question was already out of her mouth.
“Oh yeah,” Kya chuckled. “Women can be insatiable, I get it.”
Asami felt her cheeks burn even more than they already had been.
“You know you have other options, right? It doesn’t have to be, well, all in the wrists. Maybe check out one of those little shops on 16th and see if anything catches your fancy. In the meantime, let’s get you a brace.”
***
“Hi love,” Asami said, pulling Korra into a one-armed hug while she balanced her bag of takeout in the other. “How was your day?”
“Pretty good,” Korra said. “Hey, did you see the evening Republic Post?”
“No,” Asami said. She had little use for the speculation and gossip of a trashy tabloid.
“It was you again,” Korra explained. “They might have gotten you on your lunch break. You had something on your hand, apparently people were saying they thought you’d been in an accident or something.”
“Interesting,” Asami said, feigning nonchalance as she set down her bags.
Korra giggled.
“And you’ll never believe the store some ‘eyewitness’ said they saw you walking out of.”
Asami blanched. Dinner might have to wait.

Baby, You’re a Haunted House - J.M.K.
Tumblr media
Pairing: Josh Kiszka x Female Reader
Word Count: 2.6k
Warnings: NSFW MINORS DNI 18+ touching, fingering, oral, public sex, creepy themes, unprotected sex (plz use protection!)
A/N: this fic was the first one I’ve ever put my all into! I hope you enjoy! this was a collab with my favorite, @holybananafuck she was a huge help in writing!🖤 (ps. happy halloween!)
————————————————————————•
A large door slams shut and locks behind you, Josh, and ten other patrons. The room fills with darkness, but becomes quickly illuminated by the static on a TV. The TV flicks onto a recording of a man in a blood-splattered hockey mask, gripping a machete whilst pacing a room. An unrecognizable voice begins speaking, explaining the strict rules, and guidance to ensure success with completing the haunted house attraction.
“Your objective is to escape the house alive! Do not let Masked Mason catch you. Follow the riddles hidden in the walls to find the exit. Please do not touch any scare actors. If you or someone in your party is in need of a sooner exit, please ask one of the actors for such.”
The room goes pitch black once again paired with nervous murmurs from the crowd. A door across from the TV slowly creaks open, but nobody is willing to make the first move.
“C’mon, mama. Let’s show ‘em how it’s done.” Josh takes your hand in his and begins to walk through the door into a red illuminated hallway.
Barely two steps in and Josh screams as high as his voice allows when a girl dressed as a clown crawls across the floor in front of him. In his defense, she was coming towards him eerily quick for being in a backbend. Josh stumbles back, catching him in your arms, causing him to scream again.
“Baby, it’s just me!” You giggle, the room behind you filling with laughter.
“Oookay. Well what’s everyone else waiting for?!” He turns around and throws his arms into the air.
One of the guys standing in the doorway slowly raises a finger to point behind Josh. Anxiously, he turns around and is met by the clown girl standing behind him with her neck crooked and a wide grin.
“Huh-ha! Hiya, handsome!” She flicks her eyes wide.
“Oh god, I’m gonna be sick.” He mumbles.
“Josh, it’s not even that bad!” You reassure him, squeezing his cold, clammy hand.
“If you see me at the end of each hall, you’re on the right path to freedom! Otherwise you’re Master’s dinner…” She runs her hand down Josh’s arm, leaving him to shudder before bending backwards once more and crawling away.
Once the coast is clear, the rest of the party fills in behind Josh. Moments after the previous room is empty, the door shuts behind, signing you all to your doom. The crowd makes their way around the room, curious hands scouring the walls in desperate search for riddles or clues.
“Why do I let you talk me into these things?” He groans, face washed with the red light.
“Because you love me?”
“How could I not?” Josh places a kiss on your lips. “You owe me. Big time.” He whispers.
His skin is cold and he looks on edge, making you second guess suggesting a haunted house. You knew he got scared easily, but he assured you he would be okay. Focused in an attempt to comfort your uneasy boyfriend, the two of you nearly lose the group as they continue to the right. You continue to follow along a little farther back in hopes of avoiding being the victims of the scare actors. Josh continues to stay close to your side.
“Baby, you’re okay.” You reassure him, wrapping your arm around his waist.
“Just keep me close?” He intertwined his fingers with yours, giving you a small smile.
As the walkthrough progresses Josh grows noticeably more confident. Staying a few steps behind everyone else allowed him to know what to expect. Although he seemed much less tense, his body pulled closer to yours, mimicking magnets. You’d finally caught on to when you guys were going the right way. It was given away by a gate that always shut behind you. You suspect they’re on a timer or the scare actors have a key to progress.
Once the next gate shuts behind you, the group stops at the end of the new hallway. There was another fork at the end, but nobody had been paying attention to the riddles to know which way to go. You and Josh, still standing only a few feet behind, started to look around while the rest of the group argued at the end of the hallway. The two of you tread back down the hallway where you’d all just passed, inspecting the pictures on walls for any clues. You’re attracted to one specific painting that stands out from the others. Josh walks up behind you and wraps his arms around your waist, resting his chin on your shoulder.
“This one, it’s different.” You say, pointing to the painting.
“Is it because she’s kinda naked…?” He mockingly asks.
You hadn’t even looked at the picture to notice what it was, only that it physically stuck out more than the others. The picture was of a nude woman splayed out on a couch, groin covered by a slash in the canvas.
“No! Of course you’d notice that! I mean it’s physically sticking out.” You tap his hand before fixing your fingers at the edge of the painting to lift it up.
“I know a good pair of tits when I see ‘em.” His hands run up your curves, sending a small chill down your spine. He cups your breasts, giving a tight squeeze before moving his hands back down to your hips.
“You’re really gonna try to turn me on right now, Josh?” Your mind secretly yearns for him to repeat his actions.
“Is that so wrong? A man’s obsessed with his lady’s tits.”
You back up into him in an attempt to lift the picture up all the way, feeling him against your backside, a small gasp naturally escaping your lips.
He’s rock hard, and lucky as fuck it’s so dark.
You’re committed as fuck to getting out of here and getting Josh back home. So much so you consider asking for an early exit, you didn’t care about winning the prize if you could have the greatest one of all.
“Guys, you gotta go left. I found the clue!” You shout, trying to get their attention.
Their arguing drowning out any attempt to do so, but an unexpected sound is all it took. A deep groan inched from the hallway next to you and Josh. The group stops in their tracks, scared as all hell. You’d all made it this far without any Masked Mason sightings, but an appearance about halfway through made sense. The sound of heavy feet echoes down the hallway as the group finally gets a fire under their ass and books it down the left hallway. You let the picture slam against the wall and grab Josh’s hand. You hear the gate slam down, realizing you have no way of escaping. It’s just you, Josh, and Masked Mason. Josh acts quickly and pulls you to one of the rooms. He jiggles the handle until it creaks open.
“Josh, we’re gonna get caught.” You scold, even though all you want is the safety of his hands on you again.
“Nope, nobody’s come out of this room, that’s why it was closed.” He wiggles his body past the threshold and pulls you in behind him.
Josh holds the handle as he shuts it to ensure a silent close, aside from the small click of the lock. The only light to illuminate the room comes from under the door, just enough to make out the surroundings. The room was empty besides a singular chair and desk, presumably for the scare actors to use while awaiting their cue.
“What if he tries to come in here? Then we lose, Josh!”
“Shhh, don’t be loud or we’ll really get caught.” He cups his hand over your mouth and waits until your breathing slows down.
“What are we supposed to do? Hide in here? Until when?” You wrap your fingers around his wrist, moving his hand away from your mouth.
“Well, not very long. We just wait until the gate unlocks itself.” He wraps his arms around you, taking you into his warmth.
You wrap your arms around his torso and nuzzle your nose into his neck.
“I love you, I’m sorry I talked you into this.” You mumble into his neck.
“It’s okay, mama. You always do my weird shit, least I could do was do something with you.” His grip tightens around you.
A moment of silence takes over the room, just two lovers basking in each other’s presence. Still no sound of the gate opening to be heard.
“Josh?”
“Yes, Y/N?”
“We could ask for an early exit, go home.”
“Do you wanna go home?”
“To be honest, I just want your hands on me again.” You grab his wrist and bring his palm up to cup your breast.
“Oh, did that do something to you earlier?”
“You know it did you fucking tease.”
“Nothing’s stopping us, we could handle your debt right now. You just gotta promise me you can be quiet.” He backs you against the wall, pressing his lips to yours.
“I promise I’ll be quiet. I just need you.”
Josh silences your begging with a needy kiss to your lips, his hands working their way up your shirt. His fingertips dance along your soft flesh as he presses himself into you, the coldness of his fingers makes you shiver under his touch.
“Gotta make it quick, mama.” He whispers between kisses, dipping one hand past the waistband of your leggings and panties.
The shuffled steps grow louder. Josh wastes no time dragging his fingers through your slick, rubbing them against your swollen clit. You bring a hand forward to feel his length growing against your palm, already hard just from touching you. He slides your bottoms down to sit just under your ass and grabs your hips, turning you to face the wall. He pulls your hips back, leaving your chest against the wall. With your pussy on full display, he kneels down and places a kiss to your clit, trailing his tongue through you until he reaches your entrance, dipping it inside. You let out a quiet groan, trying not to draw attention to the obscene acts taking place.
“Sorry, I just needed a taste.” Josh puts his hands on your ass, squeezing you as he pulls himself up to his feet.
He unzips his pants and pulls himself out of his boxers, teasing his hard tip between your folds. Josh presses his chest into your back as he slowly pushes into you. You hiss at the feeling of him stretching you out. Josh is quick to bring his hand up to cover your mouth in attempts to muffle your noises. The footsteps are sounding down the hallway, seemingly growing slower as they make way past the room you’re in. Josh begins thrusting himself inside of you, hand still around your mouth, as you gasp against the palm of his hand.
“Shh, mama. Don’t let him know we’re in here.” He whispers in your ear as the handle jiggles on the other side of the door.
You look down to where the light creeps in and see a shadow of boots on the other side. A few more silent thrusts that threaten a moan escape you before the footsteps wander off and you hear the presumed Masked Mason open the other doors, checking for patrons.
“Okay, gotta make this quicker than I thought.” Josh mumbles, picking up his pace.
He moves his free hand down to your center, brushing his fingers in hard circles over your clit. The sound of the footsteps circles back around before you hear a beep and the sound of the gate sliding up.
“Come on, mama. We’re gonna miss the gate if you don’t cum for me.”
“I can’t.”
“I wasn’t asking.”
His originally gentle thrusts are now deep and desperate. Taking his free hand, he picks up your leg, making it so his entire length is filling you. His other still fully focused on your clit.
You feel his balls slapping against your pussy, forcing out a few eager moans from you both. You jolt as you feel two fingers shove themselves inside you alongside his cock. Your clit suddenly unoccupied, you take it upon yourself to continue where he left off in hopes of speeding this up, even though you really never wanted it to end. Josh had never put anything in you along with his cock, and the sensation of it was indescribable. It hurt, but in the best way possible. This awoke something in you you didn't know was there.
“Fuck Josh. What took you so long to try this?”
“You like it mama? I’ve considered it before… Thought now might be a time to try it out.” He increased their speed, you could hear your slick against his fingers and cock, a soaking wet symphony happening between your thighs.
“Josh I’m so close… Don’t. Fucking. Stop…” You feel yourself inching towards climax, a fire rising in your core, legs nearly collapsing underneath you.
“Come on me baby. All over me, now.”
You wouldn't be able to deny him even if you wanted to, it was instant. An echoing moan escaped your lips as you released, your core throbbing against his cock.
The feeling of your hot mess pushed Josh right over the edge, it was only seconds after that his breaths grew heavy, his chest rising and falling against your back.
Suddenly he was dripping down your thighs, your pussy only capable of holding so much.
“Fuck me baby, you’re beyond incredible each and every time. This shit just doesn’t get old.”
“And it never will.”
You were caught in the heat of the moment, you nearly forgot you had to escape. What felt like hours of infatuated sex was truly only minutes.
“Shit we gotta go.” You say, bringing your panties and leggings back up around your waist.
Josh busy rebuckling his belt, you inch towards the door, slowing unclicking the lock.
“C’mon Josh, before he comes back for us!” You grabbed his hand, turning the knob and throwing the door open in which the only response was to make a break for it.
The gate shut behind you instantly. If you’d waited a second more, you would've been caught and the adrenaline was already through the roof. That gate was the last, as you noticed the red lighting grew dimmer and a bright “EXIT” sign hanging above a door straight ahead. You made your way through in which a staff member was waiting upon the other side.
“Now where the hell have you two been!? The rest of your team finished nearly ten minutes ago!” He barked.
“Well shit, guess we didn't win huh babe?” Josh remarked, gifting himself a firm grip of your ass leaving you with a rosy complexion.
“Aw no, that sucks!” You were trying your best to bullshit your way through this interaction.
“That’s alright, I got the best prize right here.” Josh shot you a wink. “Have a good night sir.”
“Hey wait!” But Josh had already lead you two away, eager to remove yourselves.
“Is there anything else you wanted to do tonight, another attraction maybe?”
“I love you, but I think we both know you won’t be visiting another haunted house anytime soon.”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about, that was perfect. You were perfect.” He chuckled.
“We always are. Let’s go home Josh. Don’t get me wrong, that was fun, but I need you to fuck me good and proper.”
“Anything for you my love.” He picked you up bridal style, bringing you back to his bright white Jeep, excited for the rest of the night to come.

My current DRs:
-Resident Evil
-that's it actually, ill add more soon
here's a post describing how I shift
Information you'll see talked about often on here:
-Law of Attraction/Assumption

-Beginner tips/dos/don'ts
-Shifting stories
-Walkthroughs
-Information about my current DRs
If you have questions or comments, please please drop them in my inbox! I'm a vet in this community and love sharing any information that can help others achieve their goals!

Lovelies, I just went to a family friendly walkthrough light display that is usually used as a haunted house attraction. They honestly did a great job, but I kept giggling. I don't know what my favorite part was.
The handprints behind the dolls.
Tumblr media
The tarantula covered in lights.
Tumblr media
The "Cookie Oven" that looked like an entrance to Hell.
Tumblr media
The cookie baking display where the mannequin is in a cage with blood splatter behind it.
Tumblr media
Or the "Camp Crystal Lake" sign above a Santa.
Tumblr media
There are more, but I had a blast and the kiddos were blissfully unaware. ❤️😂

HD Cleaned Up Bust-Ups by MadMax1960: WIP mod to improve the resolution of character sprites.
Improved Title Screen Logo by TheNXTCypher: Replaces the upscaled logo on the title screen with a new, better-looking logo. Comes in both Blue and Pink variants.
Kenji and Junpei Spelling & Grammar Fixes by MadMax1960: Fixes typos in Kenji and Junpei's social link events.
Controller UI Overhaul by Pixelguin: Replaces the button prompts with new ones, and can be tweaked to match the controller you're using.
Useful Descriptions by yukiyoneko: Rewrites the skill descriptions to give a better indication of what they actually do and how effective they are.
HD Audio SFX by WXNDER: Replaces compressed audio for battle sound effects with higher quality audio.
Simple No Ken Romance Mod by MadMax1960: You can no longer date a child.
Tweaks:
P3F Dungeon Camera by Pioziomgames: Changes the dungeon camera to be like Persona 3 FES.
Colorful Skills+ by Pixelguin: Changes the colours of skill icons.
P3 Opening Movie by Pixelguin: Swaps the original Persona 3 opening with the P3P opening, so Burn My Dread plays when the game is booted up and Soul Phrase plays as the attract movie.
Classroom Cheat Sheet by WXNDER & MadMax1960: Let's be honest, you were going to use a walkthrough for this anyway. Might as well cut out the middle man.

Hello! I have a question I want to ask but you don't have to answer if you don't want to.
I'm recently found out about Ghost x Roach ship and looked it up along with others ghostroach fics you and other recommended.
What I'm curious is, what made you ship it? What moments of them made you ship them? What hints have you seen from them? Or was it "I think it's a neat ship"? And I don't play cod nor likely would play it in the future. But I did watch the walkthrough of the og cod mw and still trying to finish it.
If you can answer this, thank you very much!
Hi! Completely happy to answer this and it's nice to see new people getting into ghostroach haha :)
I'll admit, there honestly isn't much in terms of hints in the games/in canon that prove these two would be a good couple/in love, and it's mostly due to the early fandom efforts that helped elevate the likability of ghostroach.
That being said I'm sure me and other ghostroach shippers can agree that a large reason why this ship is so appealing is more or less the "they died together" and the "doomed love/lovers" trope that makes room for so much angst (which we all know fandoms EAT UP) <-- This is the reason why I personally ship them I just love tragic couples
The og MW games came out when I was pretty young and yk how kids tend to hyperfixate on the most random things. Mine just happened to be og Ghost, and since we play as Roach I suppose me getting into GhostRoach was a bit like self insert?
But at the same time I thought of Roach as his own character and the fact that he didn't have a backstory (or really any info), that gave people the opportunity to give Roach any personality/quirks that they desired lol.
He was like a blank canvas for writers/artists to just throw their ideas on, and it's pretty common for people to ship their OCs with the most popular character, who, for MW2, would've been Ghost.
It's harder now to find the older content, but back then I remember GhostRoach being pretty popular (or as popular as a ship from COD back then could be) and I did notice people liked to make Roach out to be Ghost's perfect dichotomy, which seems to have stuck, as a lot of GR writers/artists nowadays, including myself, like to portray these two as two opposites that attract.
And with Ghost having a hella angsty backstory combined with him being a bit of a closed off, cold, soldier, it kinda seemed inevitable that ghostroach would become a thing, with people back them headcanoning Roach as a more optimistic, wide-eyed, type of person (and we all know people LOVE the brooding, hardassed, broken character falling in love with the caring, more lively and human character)
Even tho canon doesn't really offer much, there are still small moments that people love to bring up when justifying this ship. Like when Ghost specifically requests to be teamed with Roach on the op to raid Makarov's safehouse, as well as near the end of the Loose Ends mission where Ghost is the one dragging Roach's injured body to safety whilst reassuring Roach that he's got his back. And of course, when Shepherd betrays them, Ghost screams when Roach gets shot and immediately tries to apprehend Shepherd (him screaming "No!" just sounded so shocked and pained). All these moments made it seem like Ghost really cared about Roach.
The way these two died was pretty jarring, if I remember correctly I think even news articles were talking about this plot twist and their deaths. So these two are pretty well-cemented in video game history.
At the end of the day, though, GhostRoach is a pretty "I think this is neat" kind of ship. It's definitely enhanced by the nostalgia of the old games and the factor of being able to project onto Roach as a blank character lmao, but yeah you can't deny that people are gonna hyperfixate the hell outta the pairing that's always doomed to end tragically.
I feel like I could go on and on about them but I don't want to subject y'all to my messy rambles haha but if anyone wants to add their own thoughts I'd love to see it!

Glorfindel Going With His S/O To A Haunted House Attraction
Tumblr media
A/N: Happy Halloween everyone! Hope you enjoy!
1. Glorfindel is a very spirited elf, which means he’ll never miss a chance to partake in the festivities of the season.
2. Not only would he agree to go to the haunted house with you, but he’d insist on wearing a couple’s costume. He’d be a knight, of course, so he can protect you from all the creepy creatures with his sword and shield.
3. Always walks a few paces ahead of you, ready to shield you with his body and definitely has chopped the heads off a few of the animatronics that jump out at you by the time all is said and done.
4. Is rather intrigued by the actors dressed as demons, giving them pointers on their performance because, having encountered a real Balrog himself, he is not impressed.
5. Indulges in too much candy with you after you’ve finished the walkthrough.

Generation Loss: The Social Experiments Concept Haunted House Walkthrough Attraction
WARNINGS FOR: Descriptions of gore, descriptions of liminal spaces, derealization, and general themes of horror
One of my first thoughts upon seeing Generation Loss was how cool it would be if it were a house, so I decided to make the rough draft of what it'd be like! I apologize if the document is inaccessible in any way, I tried to make it easy for everyone to visualize by including both written descriptions and visual examples of what I had in mind!
I know we'll never get this specifically however since Ranboo has talked about the different generations being different media styles, it'd be really awesome if one of the future generations was given in this style for us to experience (Ranboo if you happen to see this please make this happen and if you need people to help you with it this is my application :P)

anon from the simon ask here,, sorry if the enclosure thing was to much i didn't know how else to express how insane i am for that man (´-﹏-`;) and never EVER apologize for ranting i love it n i get it ! i don't think i ever saw my feeling so well explained in words. also, i completely understand the competence kink thing there's something so hot about a man that knows what he's doing and simon IS that man like he just looks so capable n ready for everything AND THE WAY HE CARES UGH i could cry thinking of the way he silently shows it. when i first started getting involved in cod i thought he would be this cold cold man but after watching a 5 hours walkthrough (i told you im crazy) i discovered this truly intricate character who seems like he feels so much even if he says so little HHH i just love him. for me his size was a principal attractive because duh but also i feel that it screams safety, like nothing can hurt you as long as he holds you but that could be my own conglomerate of issues speaking ┐(´ー`)┌ over all, n as dumb as it can sound, he's a big source of comfort for me cuz i feel that if there's someone who could understand me it definitely him.
anyway im looking forward for the new works, i already know they r going to be amazing, and sorry for the long ass ask you can ignore it if you want <3
DONT APOLOGIZE FOR THIS ASK, IM DEVOURING IT!!! thank you for interacting back btw like oh my god i dunno how else to express how ?-$,&2$:$!: i am for this man and so seeing my ramblings be mirrored back makes me so happy 😭🫶🏼 also dont worry about the enclosure thing hahshshd made me laugh so hard, swearr
AND YOURE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT ABOUT EVERYTHING!!! theres something so fucking attractive about a man whos exceptional at what he does. the authority that underlies his competence because well you cant help but trust him; you cant help but want to trust him. AND THE WAY HE CARES??? THE WAY ITS THAT SILENT TYPE??? i (still) dunno much abt him but just like u, i thought hes those cold guys whos a lil bit of a lone wolf yk? then i found out that those dad jokes he kept cracking for soap was to ensure soap doesnt pass out because hes been shot?? i didnt expect it from him tbh but i think thats why i started spiralling harder – seeing how hes just a caring man!!!
N HHHHH THE SIZE AND HOW HES YOUR SAFETY?? ITS LIKE YOURE PEERING THROUGH MY MIND RN??? im sorry in advance bc ive been overusing this phrase but his size, on top of his personality and skills, makes me feel small but in a safe and tender way. does that make sense?? like, when he holds you, it just feels like he’s folding you within himself before tucking you in the pockets in his chest. and hhhh i cant stop envisioning the way that when he loves, it feels like safety and comfort; security and steadiness. LIKE you fit perfectly in his arms, under his chin, your face pressed on his chest where you can hear his heart beating. because he’s alive and he’s safe and he’s back home with you because he’s found a home in you. yk???

Hall of Paleontologists Opens at the Hidden Adventure
We're very excited to reveal yet another early Christmas present sure to appeal to our most academically minded guests: the Hall of Paleontologists, here to honor the brave men and women who paved the way for Jurassic World centuries earlier!
It is a longstanding and mean-spirited misapprehension that the science of de-extinction effectively ended the field of fossil hunting and museum display. In fact, nothing can be further from the truth! Jurassic World and InGen continue to fund digging operations all over the world, as well as galleries, museums, and institutions dedicated to uncovering yet more of the prehistoric past. Now, we can further honor those in the front lines of the field.
The Hall of Paleontologists consists of a wide walkthrough chamber, lined on either side with holographic exhibits. By simply pressing a button, guests can come face to face with some of the most famous paleontologists in history, recreated through a combination of advanced CGI and A-List Hollywood names.
Each exhibit features a short presentation by the paleontologist in question, along with holographic cameos of some of their discoveries. Paleontologists include Mary Anning, Charles Othniel Marsh, Edward Drinker Cope, and Barnum Brown.
"It goes without saying I have some misgivings with this park," said Dr. Alan Grant, during his opening speech for the attraction today. "But I'm cautiously optimistic about the direction things are going. I think honoring my antecedents in the field is definitely a step in the right direction."
Dr. Grant gave no comment regarding his own exhibit, alongside Drs. Ellie Sattler and Ian Malcolm, which takes pride of place in the center of the Hall. The holographic diorama featuring the three facing down the dinosaurs of Jurassic Park is expected to be a major draw.
Make the Hall of Paleontologists a priority stop on your next visit to the Hidden Adventure amusement park!

speaking of your turn to die i need your turn to die mutuals you don't understand it's a need
so here are some your turn to die opinions and if you agree with them i'd love to be your homie! i promise i have lots of headcanons and goofy jokes and badly constructed essays.
spoilers for your turn to die up to 3-1b!
my top favorite characters of all time are reko, nao, kai, and jou! honorable mentions are kanna, gin, q-taro, sara, and shin!
i'm honestly not a massive fan of any of the floor masters or dolls in 3-1 purely because i feel like i didn't get the chance to know them well. it's a real shame too because i think they're super cool! just not quite fleshed out enough to my liking. i'm hoping we at least learn more about the floor masters in the finale because they have the potential to be so interesting!
i don't really like shipping in your turn to die, i kinda think it's unnecessary (though i don't hate on people who do ship!), but if i had to pick a ship i like, it would be reko x nao! i think it could be cute, and they have a lot of sweet moments in the game!
my favorite part of your turn to die to play is hands down 2-1. those attractions are so much fun! and all the mystery is insane, the part with the fake mishima ai was INSANEE. i also really liked 3-1 because of the part where you use the lantern to uncover people's memories about hiyori and asu-naro. it was so cool to get a glimpse of people's pasts!
to be honest i'm kind of a noob so i can never get it straight which route is logic is which is emotion (even though it's probably really obvious), but my favorite route is the one where kanna and reko live! i watched a playthrough of a route where shin lives but i didn't really like it as much, even though it was interesting to see that side of it!
this isn't really an opinion, just a confession, but i'm really dumb and really bad at the logic stuff so i lowkey thought it was impossible to save reko for the first like three years of playing the game...i figured it out though!
i've never once used a walkthrough to figure out your turn to die, i've always just used my own brain to figure things out. maybe...uh...maybe in hindsight, that's why it took me so long to figure out how to save reko...
the only character in the entire franchise that i genuinely dislike is keiji. i just think he's kinda creepy and off-putting (though that might be in part due to translation errors)? also i'm lesbian so i don't really find him hot i think he just looks like a muscly piece of popcorn.
in terms of my opinion on who the "mastermind" is i actually have literally no idea? the only idea i kind of have is that it's either sara or keiji because they're the only two who we don't get to see how they signed the asu-naro vow. but i also don't really get how it would be either of them because keiji was a victim of hiyori's tricks too, and sara just seems totally clueless. it makes my brain hurt to think about so i kinda choose not to.
i think the "gin is the mastermind" theory is mind-bogglingly stupid. sorry LMAO-
i think the theory of jou being the son of mr. policeman is actually super cool! i don't really know why it exists but i've seen people talking about it and i think that would be a cool connection.
i've read a few things about the referendum theory and i think it's a cool theory! it kinda make sense, though there are a few holes that i can't logic my way through quite yet. it seems very plausible though, and it would make for an interesting plot!
i don't think shin is overrated at all. he's a super interesting character and i love how he contributes to the story, and all the twists about him are so unique and exciting! i do hate when people water him down to like a soggy little man who's super weak and innocent, though. the coolest thing about him is his fortitude!
in case it wasn't obvious, i am on team "q-taro is the goat", especially after 3-1b. even after accidentally getting the ending where q-taro abandoned all of us i was like "okay but that was lowkey cunty af of him..." i've always been on homie q-taro's side and i also think it's hilarious that he's like supposed to be an american stereotype.
anyway that's all i can think of! i hope some of y'all wanna be friends!!

Disney Dreamland - Part 6: Discoveryland
Here it is, the final part! This area follows in the footsteps of Discoveryland in Paris, allowing more creative freedom than the traditional Tomorrowland. The land would be divided into two major “time periods”, one based on Victorian era / Belle Époque steampunk, and the other based on a high-tech modern day digital era that would evolve from said steampunk era.  There would be a decent amount of greenery in the land, none of those lifeless metal tree sculptures. Trees could be in their natural form in the steampunk half, while in the modern day half they could be trimmed into neat geometric shapes.
Tumblr media
Timeless Square
This area serves as the entry point from the hub. It is in-between the two major time periods of the land, bridging them. Would feature a detailed astronomical clock tower landmark.
“Discoveryland Thru the Years”: Successor to Carousel of Progress / Progressland, one of the four New York World’s Fair attractions. Tells the land’s “history” progression from the turn of the 20th century to the modern day, and ends with an optimistic hope for the future. I didn’t call it a carousel to avoid confusion with the other actual carousels I put in the park, but it is still a rotating theater.
Discoveryland PeopleMover: Successor to Ford Magic Skyway, one of the four New York World’s Fair attractions. A relaxing classic ride that weaves all throughout Discoveryland, including through various attraction buildings. The only challenge would be creating a vehicle that matches the aesthetics of both time periods of the land.
Tumblr media
Discovery Academy
The steampunk-inspired half of the land. While the theming uses elements of British Victorian steampunk, the architecture would mostly be modeled after Art Nouveau / Belle Époque Paris. I want the vibe of the area to be similar to a college campus or museum, but a really fancy inviting one, not a cold imposing one. In the center of the building is the Automaton Courtyard, a garden courtyard to rest and relax, but also part-walkthrough attraction. Would feature lots of fancy automatons and 3D zoetropes that guests can activate. Includes:
Butai Karakuri theater: Performances by Japanese automatons.
Steampunk Carousel: In the center of the garden. Animals could be artistic sculptures made of metal and gears.
Gift shop that sells mini wind-up automaton toys, and features coin-activated booths for drawing automata that produce souvenir pictures.
This area also includes:
Escher Exhibit & Mathmagic Land: Walkthrough attraction inspired by the artwork of M. C. Escher, particularly the multi-dimensional maze of “Relativity”. Guests can also view optical illusion sculptures such as the Penrose triangle and the Impossible trident.  Alternatively, I wouldn’t mind an attraction based on “Donald in Mathmagic Land” either. Giant numbers and “square root” trees would dominate the landscape. Interactive geometric shapes and puzzles.
Astronomical Orbiter: This indoor version features a planetarium ceiling that projects the stars and colorful galaxies so guests can actually feel like they’re flying through space. Diverting for both riders and guests still waiting in the queue. Inspired by the Chamber of Planets in Fortress Explorations from Tokyo DisneySea.
The Time Machine: Dark ride inspired by EPCOT’s Spaceship Earth. Travel through various time periods from the age of dinosaurs to the start of the Victorian era (so as not to conflict with the fictional history of the land).
Cafeteria: British, French, and Indian cuisine. Buffet.
“Paris Métro” station: As mentioned previously, this is probably not feasible idea, but I think it’s very neat. Provides underground transport between Discoveryland and Mysteryland (the Mysteryland is themed to the London Underground). The tunnels could contain zoetropes for guests to view during the ride, which tease the theme of the destination land.
Tumblr media
Explorer’s Landing
Technically part of the Academy, but features attractions that are “off campus”. Inspired by the original concept of Discovery Mountain for Paris. Features a lagoon for the submarines, and a mountain range for the other rides to blend into; would somewhat resemble the Mysterious Island from Tokyo DisneySea.
Soaring Skies / Weather Kites: Airships are a core part of steampunk, but I wasn’t sure where to put such a ride in my park that didn’t disrupt sightlines. I eventually settled on a version of Soaring. I love Tokyo’s iteration, but sadly, my version of the ride does without the fantasy aspects and GORGEOUS fantasy artwork, but the queue will still feature neat “history of flight” and weather exhibits. Ride vehicles would of course fit the steampunk aesthetic. Most important of all, I want the ride movie to focus on skyscapes and natural landscapes, not famous landmarks (I personally don’t mind the landmarks version, I think it was balanced out nicely with some nice landscapes, but now all the ride movies are the same which is boring). I want winding rivers through forest valleys, fluffy white clouds over mountain peaks with machines blowing clouds on the guests, golden sunsets over the sea, lightning storms with thunder and actual wind blowing and rain spraying the guests, and a starry night sky with a brilliant rainbow Aurora Borealis over a snowy tundra. The building exterior and queue could resemble a giant air zeppelin in an air hangar, similar to the Hyperion in Paris, based on the unbuilt Discovery Bay concept. In hindsight, this area probably has too many rides, so this attraction could also be moved to the Wild Western Frontier area in Adventureland, and be rethemed to environments of the American West, the Rocky Mountains, and the Pacific Northwest.
Journey to the Center of the Earth: I absolutely love Tokyo DisneySea’s version. It's one of the best rides out of Imagineering, but in my park, this would follow the original drop tower concept for Paris.
20,000 Leagues Under the Sea / Expedition Atlantis: Suspension ride like the one in Tokyo DisneySea, with water filled windows that bubble to create the illusion of being underwater. Could either be another take on Jules Verne’s novel, or based on the Atlantis movie. Either one works.
The Nautilus underwater restaurant: Seafood dishes. Table service.
Lunar Mountain: Based on Paris’s original De la Terre à la Lune incarnation of Space Mountain. I love the idea of a giant cannon firing guests into space, and I especially love the cannon’s design with the classical illustrations of the sun and the moon on it. I also prefer the look of Paris’s more secure seats. I’ve only ridden Tokyo and Orlando’s versions, and as fun as they are, I always get an irrational gut feeling I’m going to be decapitated during the ride.
Journey to Treasure Planet / Journey to Mars: Omnimover dark ride. To sell the idea of blasting off into space, guests would ride in a “rocket elevator” prior to boarding, similar to the entry performance for the Space 220 Restaurant in EPCOT. Treasure Planet is another movie that deserves more recognition, but due to it taking place in another universe with its own separate world-building, I am also okay with this ride having an original story instead. Perhaps a trip to Mars with a secret civilization living under the planet’s surface. For reference, I’m thinking of something inspired by the Castle in the Stars graphic novel series by Alex Alice. The building facade could resemble an observatory.
“Planetarium restaurant”: Would feature international dishes not available in the Small World buffet. Table service. The Space 220 Restaurant was really neat (if a little overpriced), and I would love a steampunk version in my park.
Disney Dreamland Railroad Discoveryland station: Art Nouveau steampunk style.
Tumblr media
Discovery Institute
The modern digital half of the land. Discoveryland opens a new campus dedicated to computer sciences. I do not want this area to look sterile like the current Tomorrowlands, though I might be okay with it resembling Shanghai’s version of Tomorrowland; I have heard their glass structures described as “organic” and I quite agree. I want the architecture of the area to be a believable evolution from the Art Nouveau steampunk, with the curves of Nouveau transforming into the curves of something resembling what Tokyo has planned for their renovation of Space Mountain.
Visions of Tomorrowland: Based on an idea I once had of a version of Tomorrowland that represents alternate timeline futures. This ride could show different “what if” scenes of different Discoverylands.  There could be a main story featuring a scientist as our host, the inventor of a multiverse portal, showcasing his invention to guests, and along the way we run into alternate versions of the scientist from the other realities. One version could be a classic mad scientist from a dystopian world, bent on conquering other dimensions and exploiting their resources, and our host has to fight them off. I guess you could describe this as a much more immersive sci-fi version of the Jungle Cruise. While I would prefer this to be a ride, I guess it could also work as a stage show.
Adventure Thru Inner Space: I have heard nice things about this ride and would have loved to experience it. Shout-out to @disneylanddilettante.
Robot Showcase: Omnimover dark ride. This ride is basically just an excuse to show off high-quality animatronics. Animatronics for days! Could include Baymax, Wall-E, and Lil Bulb as cameos in the ride.
“Robot Cafe”: Based on the unbuilt concept for The Great Gonzo's Pandemonium Pizza Parlor. This restaurant would have robot animatronics deliver guests’ food by way of an overhead "train track" system.
Tumblr media
Cyberspace Arcade
Technically an area within the Discovery Institute, but significantly different enough to require its own description. The entire area would be indoors.   Guests are “digitally transported” into Cyberspace. For visual reference, I’m thinking of the concept art for the (maybe canceled?) Play! Pavilion at EPCOT, but without the Ralph Breaks the Internet branding (I LOVE Wreck-It Ralph, but the sequel not so much) and without all the Disney IP spam (I’m already putting in three movie based rides, so the IP quota has been met). I want the area to feel more like a representation of a private server, or at least a single website, instead of the broader Internet (the Internet is a very scary family-UNfriendly place). The "sky" would have cool graphic projections, similar to how Mamoru Hosoda visually portrayed the Internet in Summer Wars and Digimon Adventure: Our War Game! As for the three movie based rides, I want the explanation to be that the scientists wanted to be able to travel into their favorite video game worlds, and here is the result. The entrances to each attraction could look like a giant icon you can click on. There could also be an actual arcade area, for guests to just relax and chill. That area would feature actual working console games of Fix-It Felix Jr, Sugar Rush, and Hero’s Duty.
“Cyberspace Playground”:  Guests can physically change the environment by interacting with it. If anyone has watched Infinity Train, think of something like the first episode’s Grid Car, but on a grander scale. Could utilize interactive projection mapping.
Videopolis: Stage for live entertainment and dance parties. Just an excuse to have a specific area dedicated to the 80s / 90s. …I just really miss the 90s, okay? I also think the retro music would add the perfect energy to the area.
Star Command Astro Blasters: I honestly just put this here to help balance queue wait times with the other two major rides, and to have at least one thing based on retro space aesthetics. Between this and Toy Story Mania, at least this has physical sets and is less rushed. There would still be plenty of kinetic energy on the ride (not at all like the embarrassingly lifeless and static Ant-Man and Wasp update in Hong Kong). I would only change the animatronic Buzz to at least have a real face though. And maybe at the end of the ride, everyone could get free stickers or postcards or some other physical reward so that it feels like the points earned meant something. I would also emphasize that the context here is Buzz Lightyear of Star Command, NOT Andy’s Buzz from Toy Story.
TRON Lightcycle Run: I have no personal attachment to Tron, but my friend @mewtwowarrior loves Tron, so this indoor coaster is included just for her. Shout-out to @pureimagineering for the idea of two different colored tracks that wind around each other in twists and turns as the two groups of guests race against each other. At the end of the ride, the unloading dock would flash the colors of the track that wins.
Sugar Rush Speedway: Wreck-It Ralph is my top favorite Disney movie. While the movie’s themes of mid-life crisis, rejection by society, and found family would be difficult to adapt into an attraction, this ride can at least embody the “love-letter to video games” aspect, and recreates one of the most visually stunning worlds Disney has ever designed. Sadly this ride makes no references to Ralph, King Candy/Turbo, or non-Princess Vanellope (which includes her glitch, hoodie outfit, and the kart she and Ralph made together), as those aspects are specific to the console in Litwak’s Arcade, and adding them to this ride would have sad implications that Mr. Litwak gave up his console and thereby separated the Sugar Rush characters from their community in Game Central. Alternatively, having the entire Arcade be themed as Litwak’s could fix that, but then would raise questions of why Mr. Litwak let a research team experiment on his games and interrupt his business. So it’s best that this Sugar Rush is a “generic” console to make things simple. That said, I have no issues if the candy shop makes reference to the movie’s events, or with having Ralph and Vanellope as walk around characters (we can say they’re visiting this Arcade via the Internet). When thinking about the queue, I considered it could wind through the candy box grandstands, so that guests that are still waiting for their ride could double as a cheering audience for the guests before them. The theme song by AKB48 would of course play on a loop. On the ride, guests would “race” through rich environments such as Gumball Gorge, Cherry Bomb Cakeway, the Frosty Rally ice cream mountains, and Diet Cola Mountain. To make it feel like a video game, there could be “power-ups” located throughout the ride. The guest that “claims” the power-up first (perhaps by pushing a timed button in their vehicles) gets the advantage. Power-ups can cause some karts to speed up or opponents slow down, or activate obstacles and surprises. Would it be a hazard to shoot “sprinkle” confetti at the guests? Alternatively, this ride could also possibly use virtual reality headsets to enhance the experience with visual effects and make the ride feel like even more of a game, as demonstrated by the Mario Kart ride at Universal Studios, a ride with gorgeous physical sets that is maximized by the VR (again, emphasizing that VR should not be a replacement for good physical sets and effects). The guest who wins the race could receive a free framed souvenir snapshot of their victory.
Finish Line Sweet Treats: Candy shop, bakery, and ice cream parlor. Based on Vanellope’s Sweets & Treats on the Disney Dream cruise ship. Guests could make their own kart cake at the Kart Bakery. Sundaes are served in trophy cups and replicas of Vanellope’s kart like the ones on the cruise ship. The Ralph-in-a-cupcake red velvet cupcake is a must. Would also feature a selection of Japanese sweets such as konpeito and mochi. Giant cotton candy like the kind you’d find in Harajuku.
Tumblr media
Closing thoughts:
There was a lot I wanted to include, but couldn't think of solutions for, such as attractions based on Zootopia and Monsters Inc. But I'm quite happy with this end result. (I say this like it's actually being built, and not an elaborate daydream in my mind, lol.)
As you might have noticed, my park does not feature Marvel or Star Wars in any capacity. While there are some Marvel shows I like, I do not consider myself a Marvel fan, and I have little interest in Star Wars. And quite frankly, I think that visually, they clash horribly with most Disney aesthetics.
There are a lot of minor things I forgot to mention, like there would be plenty of benches and sitting areas with shade, plenty of restrooms, the food would have effort and quality put into it to be worth theme park prices, and backstage would have plenty of space and comfortable break rooms for Cast Members. Not related to the park itself, but I would also like to imagine the Cast Members here are paid and treated well, and have a good amount of free benefits, like park tickets and room and board for out-of-town residents and interns.
I realize that in order to accommodate everything I want, this park would have to be MASSIVE, at least the size of Shanghai Disneyland. I just like far too many things. I realize it would have been smarter to break off some parts for a second park, but I'm just too fond of the idea of having everything all in one place.
As I mentioned, I REALLY love carousels and could not resist putting so many themed carousels in my park. They might not be exciting rides, but I legitimately think they are GORGEOUS works of art that add perfect visual beauty and musical atmosphere.
Much like Walt's initial sentiment, I don't think my ideal park will stay this way forever. Who knows, in a few years I might update this. We'll see. Thanks for taking the time to read these. :)

Legend of Zelda Theme Park - Lost Woods
Tumblr media
(I'm going to try this new thing where I shade part of the overall park map an appropriate color to show which area I'm talking about.)
The Lost Woods covers the southeastern corner of the park (corresponding to the Triforce of Courage) and, to suit its role as a vibrant enchanted forest, is the most lushly planted area of the park. Roughly a third of its footprint is devoted to planters filled with live trees, shrubs, and flowers, represented by the stippled shapes on the detailed map below. The artificial structures housing attractions, shops, and eateries are dressed to resemble hollow trees and caves. Most dramatic of all is the Great Deku Tree himself, rising well above the rest of the features in the area.

Attractions
Spirit Train (Forest Station): One of the stations for the Spirit Train (see the Castle Town writeup) can be found here.
Picori Picnic Park: Inspired by The Minish Cap, this is an ideal spot to take a break from all the running around and eat lunch (and let the kids do more running around). A well-shaded area of picnic tables and benches sits alongside an elaborate playground, and everything is in the shape of giant flowers, leaves, mushrooms, and other objects to make you feel as though you've shrunk to Minish-size! There are also statues of Minish that guests can pose with for photos, and giant stumps and logs with windows to peer into to watch Minish going about their lives at home.
Koroks in Concert: Inside a huge hollow stump is a tiny theater-in-the-round where dozens of animatronic Koroks put on a musical revue! Some of the tunes in the 15-minute program will be familiar to anyone who has played the right games, but others are unique to this show. Guests are prompted to sing along with the grand finale and in so doing, encourage the Deku sprout in the center to grow!
The Great Deku Tree: He's not a ride, nor exactly a show, but the guardian spirit of the Lost Woods is an impressive sight all the same. He continually grumbles and sighs and makes different expressions as he watches over the forest, and his spreading crown (the dashed outline shows its rough extent) is made from a system of hollow twigs and retractable artificial leaves in a variety of colors, so that his foliage can shift with the seasons. Moreover, he serves as the entrance to another attraction entirely...
Lost Woods Labyrinth: The largest attraction footprint in the Lost Woods belongs not to a ride, but a walkthrough—a “maze” that you can't actually get lost in. Entered through the base of the Great Deku Tree's trunk, the labyrinth winds in a convoluted fashion through a fantastical landscape of forest groves and small caves, with occasional branching paths that encourage repeat visits. The majority of the maze is located inside an enclosed show building, though ample skylights keep the ambient light levels synced with the outdoors for that extra bit of authenticity. The path takes guests through a variety of whimsical, mystical, and eerie forest scenes, from simple wild animals going about their lives to spider webs with scuttling Skulltulas to a Great Fairy Fountain. Some scenes include interactive elements--motion sensors cause Deku Scrubs to pop up and spit water, or a scene of Koroks at play includes a pushbutton that makes more of them descend into view on their little leaf-propellers.
The Grove of the Master Sword: At the exit of the labyrinth, guests have the choice to return to the main area of the Lost Woods...or take a picturesque but unlabeled path that leads to a quiet grove with a marble dais in the center, carved with the symbol of the Triforce and the emblems of its three virtues of Power, Courage, and Wisdom. And in the center of that is the pedestal where the Master Sword waits to be claimed by the Hero. You can try to draw it if you like. Do you think you're worthy? (Is this basically a ripoff of Disneyland's Sword in the Stone? Yes. Is the whole Master Sword stuck in a pedestal already a ripoff of Arthurian legend anyway? Also yes.) Another unlabeled path leads directly between the grove and the main area, and a third connects it with Epona Ranch. There are many ways to discover the Master Sword if you're willing to explore the unknown.
Skull Kid's Dash-n-Twist: This “mad mouse” style roller coaster is themed around the concept of chasing the mischievous Skull Kid through the forest treetops, with dangerous forest monsters popping up at every turn! Is he leading you to safety or hoping the Babas and Peahats will dispose of you?
Deku Gliders: This is a carousel-type ride with suspended cars shaped as if made from leaves, flowers, and twigs. The central mechanism is shaped like a huge flower, and the “stalk” extends upward when the ride begins, giving riders an elevated view of the surrounding area.
Shops
9. Outfitted For Adventure: If you didn't manage to pull the Master Sword, never fear—this shop has you covered with toy and prop weapons (including replica Master Swords, we're not stupid, we know what the people want), as well as souvenir clothing, hats, fanny packs, pouches, canteens, walking sticks, and other simple gear items for outdoorsy and adventurous types. Themed as a small, torchlit cave in honor of the one where Link was gifted his first ever sword at the very beginning of the franchise, the shop has that scene's famous slogan painted prominently on one wall in the classic NES lettering: “It's dangerous to go alone! Take this!”
10. The Fairy Fountain: Found one cave over from Outfitted For Adventure, this shop carries all things fairy-related, from books and art prints to dolls and “shoulder pet” fairy toys.
11. Figurine Gallery: Another feature inspired by The Minish Cap, this kiosk built into the side of a tree (the structure is artificial, but the roof is basically a big planter for real shrubs), sells hand-carved wooden figures and decorative items, no two identical! Limited customization (color stains, a name etched or burned into a figurine base, etc.) is available on some items and can usually be completed while you wait.
12. Flower Cart: This is also a small retail location, selling all kinds of silk flowers and flower crowns. Many of them are generic, but others are made to resemble the fictitious flowers that occur in certain LoZ games—many colors of Pico Blooms (The Minish Cap), Silent Princess (Breath of the Wild), and even Bomb Flowers (various) with light-up “wicks.”
Eateries
13. Minish Mini-Nosh: If you didn't bring your own lunch to the Picori Picnic Park, you can pick up something tasty at this fast casual eatery specializing in “miniature” food—bite-sized sandwiches, “baby” vegetables, “Minish-kabobs,” and more! Get them a la carte for a quick snack or mix and match a combo for a full meal!
14. Hollo’s Hollow: A callback to the potion-making Korok in The Wind Waker, this is a beverage shop much like Castle Town’s Potion Hut. Also on offer are healthy snacks such as whole-grain crackers, trail mix, and fresh fruit. Conveniently located right next door to Koroks in Concert so you can have something to wet your whistle while you enjoy the show.
15. Saria’s Bakery: Named for Link's sweet and spunky childhood bestie from Ocarina of Time and located inside a huge hollow stump, this bakery offers a wide selection of rolls, buns, muffins, cookies, cupcakes, and other baked goods. Specialties include Kokiri Fairy Cakes (frosted pale blue and adorned with sugar wings) and a honey butter blend that's terrific on all kinds of savory bread. Everything is made on-site and guaranteed fresh!
Miscellaneous
You might notice some unlabeled circles on the map. These are artificial tree structures that don't house any publicly available feature--instead they are used as storage sheds, small employee break rooms, and general ambience.
