Spider-Girl gets heatstroke ft Wanda Maximoff and Natasha Romanoff
The sun bore down mercilessly on the city, amplifying the already stifling heat. Y/N Parker, also known as Spider-Girl, swung through the crowded urban landscape, her agile form navigating effortlessly between towering buildings. The snug superhero suit clung to her like a second skin, offering little reprieve from the oppressive warmth.
Wanda Maximoff, the Scarlet Witch, and Natasha Romanoff, the Black Widow, followed closely behind. The three made an unlikely but formidable team, each contributing their unique skills to the cause. Today's mission had brought them into the heart of the city, where the scorching heat seemed to amplify with every passing minute.
As they reached the rooftop where their target was supposed to be, Y/N's movements started to slow. The heat had become an almost tangible force, sapping her strength and leaving her feeling sluggish. Wanda exchanged a concerned look with Natasha, both recognizing the toll the weather was taking on their youngest teammate. Natasha was the first to say something about it over the comms.
Natasha - Kiddo, we need to take a break. It's too hot up here.
Y/N hesitated, her hand gripping the edge of the building for support.
Y/N - I'm fine!
Insisted the adolescent as her voice strained.
Wanda moved closer, placing a hand on Y/N's shoulder.
Wanda - You need to take care of yourself. This heat is dangerous. *frowns*
But Y/N, ever the stubborn teenager, shook her head.
Y/N - I can handle it. Let's finish this.
Natasha sighed, sharing a worried glance with Wanda. They pressed on, but it wasn't long before Y/N's movements became more laboured. Sweat dripped down her forehead, and her breaths were audible over the comms.
Wanda - We need to get her out of here.
The Scarlet Witch urged, her concern deepening.
Natasha grabbed Y/N's arm.
Natasha - Come on, baby. We're calling it a day.
Y/N resisted.
Y/N - No, I can't let them—
Wanda cut in, her voice firm.
Wanda - Your health is more important. The mission can wait.
Reluctantly, Y/N allowed herself to be guided away from the edge of the building. The trio found a shaded spot, but Y/N was insistent on finishing the mission even if she was already swaying slightly.
Y/N - I just need a moment...
Natasha - You need more than a moment. You need water and rest. *crosses her arms*
Y/N's stubbornness flared, and she pushed herself up.
Y/N - I can't let them get away. I can—
Her words were slurred, and her vision blurred. The next thing she knew, she was on her knees, the world spinning around her. Wanda and Natasha exchanged alarmed glances.
Wanda - Y/N!
Wanda cried out, rushing to her side.
Natasha activated her comm.
Natasha - We need an evac. Now.
Y/N tried to push herself up, but her limbs felt like lead. The last thing she heard before darkness claimed her was Wanda's worried voice calling her name.
______________________________________________________________
When Y/N opened her eyes, the world was a blur of white. She blinked, trying to make sense of her surroundings. The low hum of the quinjet's engines filled the air. She was lying on one of the benches, and her suit had been partially removed.
Y/N - Wanda? Natasha?
She croaked.
The two women appeared at her side, relief was evident in their eyes.
Natasha - You fainted detka, heatstroke.
Explained the Black Widow, her voice a mix of sternness and concern.
Y/N groaned, remembering the mission.
Y/N - Did we catch them?
Wanda smiled gently, brushing a strand of hair from Y/N's face.
Wanda - Yes, we did. But you scared us. You need to take better care of yourself, honey.
Y/N mumbled an apology, attempting to sit up. Natasha pressed her back down as she spoke firmly about their order.
Natasha - Rest, we'll be back at headquarters soon.
Wanda held a bottle of water to Y/N's lips, urging her to drink. The cool liquid was a balm for her parched throat. As Y/N sipped the water, Natasha began removing the rest of her suit to help her cool down.
Y/N - I can do that myself.
Protested the youngest weakly.
Wanda - You're in no condition to argue, my dear. *chuckles*
They worked efficiently, and the atmosphere was a mix of professionalism and genuine concern. Y/N couldn't help but feel grateful for the two women who had become her teammates and, in many ways, her surrogate family and mothers, in their own way.
Once out of the stifling suit, Y/N felt a wave of relief. The cool air of the quinjet was a welcome contrast to the oppressive heat outside. Wanda conjured a soft breeze, further easing Y/N's discomfort.
Natasha - You scared us back there, sweetheart.
Natasha admitted, her eyes intense.
Y/N - I'm sorry. I just wanted to finish the mission. *sighs*
Wanda placed a hand on Y/N's shoulder.
Wanda - There will always be another mission. But you only have one health and body for us to kiss, hug and give tickles. Don't jeopardize it for the sake of a mission. *tickles Y/N*
Y/N - Stopp- *giggling*
Natasha - Let her rest Wanda. It's okay lovebug *kisses forehead*
They lapsed into a comfortable silence, the hum of the quinjet providing a backdrop to their thoughts. Y/N closed her eyes, allowing herself to rest, knowing that she was in capable hands.
As the quinjet touched down at headquarters, Natasha and Wanda helped Y/N to her feet. She felt a little unsteady, but the support from her motherly teammates kept her upright.
Natasha - Promise us you'll take better care of yourself, babygirl.
Natasha said with her tone meaning business.
Y/N nodded, a genuine smile playing on her lips.
Y/N - I promise, moms.
Wanda grinned, a mischievous glint in her eyes.
Wanda - And if you don't, we might have to resort to more drastic measures.
Y/N - Like what? *raises an eyebrow*
Wanda and Natasha exchanged a knowing look before simultaneously saying: Mama bear's voice, the head-tilt and the raised eyebrow.
Y/N burst into laughter, the sound echoing through the quinjet. As they exited the aircraft, a trio of superheroes ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead, Y/N couldn't help but feel grateful for the bonds forged not just in battle but in the quiet moments of care and concern.

“Mom!” Y/N’s raspy voice echoes through the house. She is still lying under her covers, breathing through her mouth while constantly sniffling. School starts in ten minutes, and normally she’d already be on her way, but today she slept through her alarm, waking up with only twenty minutes before her first class. Since then, she has been staying in her bed, trying to wake up her mom by yelling her name. “Mama!” She shouts again, starting to cough right after.
Tired looking Wanda finally steps into her daughter’s room, “why aren’t you dressed up?” She glances at the clock on Y/N’s wall. Her eyes widen, suddenly wide awake. “Why are you still home?”
“I’m sick.”
With a frown, Wanda sits down on the edge of the bed. “Are you?” She sets her hand on Y/N’s forehead, moving it to her neck after a while. Her frown deepens. “Oh, you definitely are sick.”
Y/N whines quietly when Wanda’s cool palm leaves her skin. The woman shushes her softly, running her fingers through her messy hair a couple of times.
“I’m going to get you something to drink, okay? Do you think you could eat some breakfast too?” Wanda’s voice is much quieter now, she doesn’t want to disturb her sick daughter. Y/N shakes her head. “Okay,” she sighs, “I’ll still bring up some fruit for when you feel better.”
It takes Wanda around fifteen minutes to cut up fruit, pour cold juice, and fill Y/N’s water bottle before getting back into her room. She sets them all on the nightstand and sits back down to the bed, now getting more comfortable. Her back is rested against the wall and her legs are straightened out.
Y/N moves slowly, setting her head on Wanda’s lap. “I feel bad.” She whispers with her eyes closed.
“I know, baby.” Wanda brushes her fingers against Y/N’s face, slowly moving from her cheeks, to her nose, to her forehead, and back. “Do you think you could fall back asleep or maybe take a bath to cool you down?”
Y/N sniffles again, her nose blocked out. “I don’t think I could get up, I feel too nauseous.”
“That’s okay,” Wanda pick up the water bottle, “just drink some water for me and rest up.” She opens the cap and lifts Y/N’s head enough for her to be able to swallow properly. She holds the bottle for her until she has had enough.
Y/N drops her head back down to Wanda’s lap, closing her eyes right away to get comfortable. She lets out a breath when Wanda starts playing with her hair again, her body relaxing almost automatically from the softness of it, and the slight magic helps too.
“Get some sleep, hun.” Wanda whispers, “I’ll wake you up in some hours to eat something.”
Humming quietly, Y/N nods, already half asleep.

NEW YORK CITY STREETS
REQUEST — enemies to lovers with either wanda or natasha with new avenger reader, where wanda/natasha for whatever reason just doesn’t trust reader and is wary of her? maybe they think reader isn’t who she says she is while the rest of the avengers just happily accept r, so wanda/natasha try to catch reader in a lie or something?
WARNINGS — mentions of homelessness, anxiety, vomiting, nat being a bit too guarded and convincing herself dreykovs found her, somewhat of a rocky ending because i wrote this in one session
AUTHORS NOTE — i got so carried away with this and tried to reel it back in toward the end but, i like to think after this event wanda and natasha basically become readers parents lol
Tumblr media
You were given the hundredth floor when Tony Stark had personally recruited you after clashing on the battlefield dressed in a sheer ski mask and fraying black zip-up hoodie. Your personal disguise hadn’t been much of a disguise with its many holes and thin fabric, but nobody really paid enough attention to your vigilante persona to figure you out. That was before you’d met Natasha Romanoff and her shadow of a girlfriend, Wanda Maximoff. The pair was as equally enthralled with you as they were unamused, and it seemed at every corner one or both of them was working out a way to deconstruct everything you built.
Avengers tower was always warm, even with the windows open welcoming the breeze of winter and the air conditioner dialed down to sixty-five on the second setting from highest. You supposed it was your subconscious way of making luxury feel cheap, connecting you to the streets that you’d grown up on. If nobody had walked in your shoes, they wouldn’t be able to comprehend how you ached for the uncomfortable sidewalks beneath your head at night or the scent of trash lingering around you, particularly pungent toward the end of the week before trash collection when discarded ingredients had marinated in themselves for days. You’d traded homelessness for lavish living in minutes, but still you felt empty, like you didn’t belong here nor there. Wanda and Natasha saw your feelings for what they weren’t. They noticed your every weakness and somehow decided that instead of being homesick to a place that wasn’t really your own anyway, you were working them. That you were the enemy. Not a teenage girl who’d crossed paths with the wrong people at the wrong time and it had left you a mutant with healing powers and the ability to absorb the strength from people around you rather than an orphan with pale skin and no family. You could be both of those things at the same time, and for three years you had been, but to them, in their eyes, you had to pick a path. Your identity couldn’t be one or the other.
Pepper had pulled you away from the solidarity of your floor for a team meeting. It had been weeks since Tony had recruited you, and for the most part, you stuck to yourself. The team had seen you on various occasions, but for nothing longer than a few minutes before the judgemental stares became too invalidating and you surrendered to your quarters for quiet. Quiet that you despised. Quiet that let you sit in all of the wrongdoings that had been imparted on you without your consent. You supposed, that in a way, Avengers tower was just like the streets of New York City. You were judged and outcast all the same, with high-quality satin sheets and water pressure that could melt your skin off with enough time beneath the shower head, or with just the night sky above your head as a ceiling. The people weren’t different, the places were.
“It’s mandatory.” Pepper had told you when you’d first declined her offer at joining the team in the common area for a relaxed evening. You’d heard through the grapevine that every so often the Avengers gathered together for dinner and conversation, admittedly a way to reground them. Remind them that although they’re earth's mightiest heroes, they’re still human.
“I’m not a part of the team.” You’d responded, not meeting Pepper’s eye. You couldn’t handle the way she looked at you. Not when her eyes were full of so much empathy and pity that it made you feel like glass. She could look right through everything you built and find a scared teenage girl at your center without knowing you at all. That scared you. She scared you more than Natasha and Wanda ever could, because while she saw a real person, they saw a treat. An enemy. And you would rather be taken for the worst then seen for what you always tried not to be. Real. If you were real it meant that your parents really did choose to abandon you. If you were real it meant that everything that had happened to you in seventeen years was unfortunate and equally undeserved. It was better to just exist as a vigilante in the night then as Y/N.
“You’ve been a part of this team since you stopped a bomb before it could detonate at Tony’s feet. Don’t let Natasha and Wanda rattle you, they were in your shoes not that long ago.”
Stunned, you hadn’t been able to find the words to respond. How had she known? And if she was aware that Natasha and Wanda were bothering you, did they know too? Were they annoyed? Would they hurt you for stirring chaos and problems where it didn’t need to be. This was their home. They’d been through hell enough times over to make your pathetic life look like a dream.
“Why did he pick me.” You choked out, before Pepper could leave your doorway and enter the elevator to leave you alone.
Pepper smiled a smile that was so maternal it made your insides feel queasy. You didn’t deserve this. You’d just been in the wrong place at the right time. “You jumped into an active warzone without a weapon. You are the only reason that Clint’s not seriously injured. You’re reckless, Y/N. But you’re reckless because you have a good heart. That’s the only thing that makes any of them an Avenger, with or without powers and serums.” Y/N. Pepper was the only one who called you that. Kid seemed to float around your head for anyone to grab at. You weren’t sure if hearing your name was grounding or a new reason for you to spiral with a deep-seeded feeling of weightlessness.
Pepper and Tony were the only ones you’d really had a conversation with since the latter had offered you residence and training at the Tower. Steve had tried a handful of times, but you were elusive out of habit to let him in, and settling into this life wasn’t easy despite that it should have been. You should be jumping for joy to have a roof over your head, and a shower to bathe in, and food to eat that’s not spoiled or out of a garbage bag. There are a lot of things that you should be feeling, but all you can place in the pit of your stomach is a sense of displacement and a very sickening amount of nerves.
“I’ll be up in ten.” You promised, shutting your eyes tightly. You could do this. You patrolled the streets of New York city in leggings and a hoodie for gods sake (it crossed your mind to start saying thors sake, for obvious mildly funny reasons, but you squandered that joke the second it crossed your mind), you could survive a few hours with the Avengers. Besides, it was the least you could do to show Tony that although feeling misplaced and unwelcome, you did appreciate his faith in you, even if you didn’t understand it. He’d been the only one in your life to ever have any positive feelings about you. Losing it now would feel worse than this.
Pepper snickered, eyes light with an emotion she saved for Tony. “You’ll be up in five. I wouldn’t keep Nat waiting any longer if I were you.”
With wide eyes you nodded. This could only go a handful of ways and every outcome you could imagine ended with you feeling worse inside, but you wouldn’t let her and Tony down.
-
There was a buzz in the air that felt familiar to the streets of New York City. It wasn’t as loud, wasn’t as energetic, wasn’t rooted in happiness that same way it would’ve been if you’d been on the streets watching tourists and college students turn the night young like them, but it felt similar enough to put you at the slightest bit of ease. Maybe tonight wouldn’t go as horribly as you anticipated. Maybe you’d come to an understanding with your new mentors.
Dread still filled your belly, but you pushed it down as best as you could manage. Coming tonight wasn’t an option, Pepper had made that clear without saying as much, so with or without your negative feelings you’d have to show your face instead of hiding around a corner.
“We can see your feet, kid.” A new voice called, and although it was light and filled entirely with amusement and not anger, it made you tense. Three deep breaths in were all you had time for before Tony was coming to pull you away from your hiding spot and dragging you over toward the multiple couches and setting arrangements that were almost entirely full with heroes dressed in casual wear. This image of them was so vulnerable. They weren’t assassins and spies here, they were just people, human just like you.
“Kid, you’ve met Wigglywoo, Capsicle, and Bl- uh, Natasha,” Tony had all intentions of calling Natasha some fabricated nickname he’d thought up after too many hours in the lab, but had thought twice about it upon seeing her unamused glare that dripped venom. Under different circumstances, you would’ve let a smile pull at your lips, but instead it just amplified the nerves you were barely handling. “This is Bucky, Legolas, Hawkeye Jr, Underoos, and Maria, she’s not as scary as she tries to be.” Tony’s words had an easy way about them, but it didn’t make you feel any better. Especially not with how closely Maria was sitting to Natasha, and how both of them seemed to be pulling you apart with their eyes. Wanda was no better, but Hawkeye Jr and Underoos (who you knew were really just Kate and Peter) seemed welcoming, bright smiles on their lips telling you as much. “Everyone, this is the kid.”
Pepper rolled her eyes, “Her names Y/N.”
You waved shyly, cheeks a brilliant shade of red. You could feel your heartbeat in your palms, but you pulled the slightest bit of strength from Tony and hoped it would be enough to get you through the night. Wanda seemed to be able to sense your use of powers, and her eyes flashed a threatening hue of scarlet that only you noticed. Pulling your arms tightly around your midsection, you shrunk into yourself and let Tony lead you farther into the room, where you found a space to sit on the far end of a white leather couch, as far away from Natasha and her girlfriend that you’d be able to get, and running distance from an emergency exit to your left. So far, things were not off to a great start.
“So kid,” You assumed it was Clint who spoke, dismantling the static that was filling your head, but your eyes were so unfocused and your belly was so tight, you could only pay so much attention to what was happening around you, and as a result, you weren’t really sure who was talking to you. “Why don’t you tell us about yourself? Ya know, something other than the fact that you wandered onto a battlefield and healed my ass.”
“Oh, um, there isn’t really much.” You said nervously, biting at the skin around your nails that was already raw and thin from how badly you’d been picking at it since moving in. Earth’s mightiest heroes weren’t exactly inviting, no matter what most kids your age believed. These people were heroes, inspirations for a wide variation of generations, but they were proving to be your undoing, even if Kate and Peter were trying to make you feel welcome with their open posture and warm smiles.
“There’s got to be something.” Kate prodded, leaning back on the couch with amusement dancing in her blue eyes. You could feel the heavy emotions around you, no thanks to your enhanced abilities, and the thick aroma of judgment was making you queasy. “Peter thinks you stole a cop scanner and that's how you found it.” She threw her friend under the bus, earning a few chuckles and a deep groan from the spider.
“Um, I was already patrolling the area.” You meekly announced, lowering your hand from your mouth when the taste of blood became too much. Heightened senses sucked sometimes. If you were being honest, they sucked most times.
“I thought you were from Queens. What were you doing in Manhattan?” Natasha quizzed. Even if you hadn’t seen her lips move, too distracted by how Wanda’s fingers were wiggling and the softest hue of scarlet was tangling between her extremities, you knew it was the assassin who had spoken. She was the only one who seemed interested in dismantling your every word. Her tone was biting, as cold as the streets of New York City in winter and you were without thermals or a coat. Another similarity, you’d note.
“I move around alot.” You offered simply, looking at her nervously, afraid that not making eye contact at all would convince her you’d been lying. She would think that either way.
“Aren’t you seventeen?” Steve questioned, though his tone was less inquisitive, more genuine. It didn’t help you to feel anymore at ease though, already anticipating how Wanda and Natasha could spin your response to fit the narrative they already had of you. “Aren’t you in school?” He followed up when you nodded, anxiety curdling in the back of your throat like sour milk. You felt like you were going to puke.
“Um, no?” The squeak in your voice only aided in your downfall, and you could see the gears turning in everyone's head as you announced that you weren’t enrolled in school. Even Kate and Peter attended school still, NYU and Midtown High were the best of the best, and even with Avenging they could fit it into their schedules.
“Why not?”
You were going to puke. You knew that as easily as you knew that Natasha was constructing a narrative of you that was entirely wrong. Sputtering for words, you stood from the couch abruptly, and as you did so, the assassin stood as well, challenging you to take a step forward. You were trapped. You were helpless. The buzz that had been filling the atmosphere evaporated as easily as it was formed, and it wasn’t hard to identify the edge in all of their postures, awaiting the next move and wondering who would strike first. It wouldn’t be you.
Bile was rising in your throat steadily, and the clench in your stomach was becoming worse, but you couldn’t move. Not with Natasha ready to pounce, not with Maria’s glare, not with scarlet filling Wanda’s eyes for everyone to notice. This was bad. This was so so bad and all you wanted was to undo ever stepping foot on that battlefield and helping them, helping Tony and Clint, helping anymore. Anytime you tried to help something worse happened. You were in over your head here. You weren’t a hero, you were just a homeless screw up with powers that even biological parents couldn’t love.
“Who do you work for.” Natasha demanded, and if the atmosphere was tense before, it was armed now. Even without weapons, you felt like with one wrong move you’d be shot dead.
“W-What.” You stuttered, your already pale complexion becoming green as sickness was getting closer and closer. You scrambled to find an exit, knowing the one to your left would be a horrible play as Clint inched closer to the end of his seat ready to stop you from fleeing if it came to it. In three minutes, a civil team meeting had turned into an interrogation that could end your life. You were stupid to accept Tony’s offer. You were stupid to leave your room. You were stupid to think that having powers and an advantage against ordinary criminals in New York City meant that you weren’t still worthless. You should’ve never helped that first night. You should've never continued to help after that. You were in over your head. You were just a kid. A kid that nobody wanted. A kid that nobody trusted.
“Who. Do. You. Work. For.” Natasha repeated.
You tried to warn them that you were about to be sick. That you couldn’t push it off any longer, that you needed a bathroom, or a sink, or even a bowl, but before the warning could pass your lips you were puking all over yourself and the floor, eyes welling with tears of humiliation and pure fear. You were terrified, and it wafted around you in heavy waves. You knew Peter could feel it, his spidey-sense similar to how your own powers worked, but you were too embarrassed to open your eyes and look at any of them. Too frozen to even wipe the vomit from your chin. The sinking feeling of embarrassment didn’t last for much longer, and your knees that had been locked for who knows how long gave out, and you were falling over and into a room of black emptiness, not conscious to notice the guilt that seemed to be creeping up Natasha’s neck as she really got a look at you. As she realized, maybe she’d let her past cloud her judgment. As for the first time ever, she looked at you and saw a kid who was just trying to help. A kid who was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.
-
When you came too, it wasn’t in the common area, and it wasn’t in your room. Panic spread through your body, and you shot upright to identify your surroundings. The bed was uncomfortable, two plastic guardrails on either side the first hint that you were in medical. Your eyes didn’t wander much farther then the bed before a voice was breaking apart the static in your head. It was a voice you’d heard before, but in a tone so soft it felt new.
“You’re in medical. You fainted.” Natasha was sitting off to your right, with Wanda at her side, both wearing expressions of sympathy and embarrassment. The former, had guilt shining in her watercolor eyes, hands clasped together in her lap to voice her resigned position in a way that words couldn’t. Leaving her hands together, gave her the lowerhand when it came to defending herself. In her own sick way, she was making you aware of the fact that she’d been wrong.
“I-I, I’m not, I don’t, I don’t work for a-anyone.” You spluttered to make that clear, to feel safe in your own skin again because so easily she’d made you feel like maybe you were the enemy.
“I know.” She said softly, “We know, Y/N.” The use of your name on her lips felt wrong, but you allowed her to continue. “Wanda and I, are ledgers are dripping with red. Our pasts are haunting, and… and the people we worked for aren’t known for just letting things go. We’re sorry- I’m sorry for letting that fear cloud my judgment. After you fainted, um, Tony gave me your file to read. He hadn’t shared it with us before. Before shield fell, they’d been keeping tabs on you, making a portfolio to see if you were deemed a threat. I’m sorry I didn’t let you form that image on your own.”
You knew apologies, especially ones as vulnerable and heartfelt as the one Natasha was currently giving you, wasn’t easy for her. You knew enough about her past to know that these moments of transparency were very few and far between, and you could recognize, that for this single moment, she was allowing herself to be as see through as glass. With only a few words you could shatter her, but you saw her genuinity. You saw how horribly she felt, even if she was capable of faking every emotion perfectly. For some reason, you trusted that this was real. That you weren’t dealing with the Black Widow now, or even Natasha Romanoff, this was real. For this single moment with you, she was letting herself be Natalia. She was showing you how vulnerable and traumatized she’d become after everything that had happened to her. For the first time, you could see yourself in her.
“It’s okay.”
Wanda shook her head, sokovian accent thicker than the walls you’d built from years on the streets of New York City cold and afraid, “It isn’t alright. The way we treated you, Pietro would be appalled.” Speaking of her brother wasn’t easy, but Wanda was kind enough to give you the same transparency Natasha was giving you. They were sorry, and they meant it with everything in them. “We hope that you can let us grow from this. Um, Nat and I were thinking, maybe you’d like to move onto our floor? After Ultron, being alone felt weird. I had always had Pietro. I had always had noise and cold cement cells and satin sheets and quiet, it made my head spin. Um, if you want, we really want to get to know you. Outside of your vigilante persona, outside of your file. We’d like to start over, if that’s okay with you.”
A smile, a genuine smile, pulled at your lips at the full transparency and responsibility they were showing you. And, for the first time, their watercolor eyes didn’t send a chill of fear down your bones. For the first time, you could see a future for yourself in Avengers tower. And maybe, you’d find friendships and teammates too.

Worried Moms
a/n: hey it's my first request, i hope you'll like it. I loved to write it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
*not my GIFs*
WandaNat x adoptive!daughter!reader; Natasha Romanoff x Wanda Maximoff; Avengers x teen!f!reader
Request: And I do have something to request if you feel comfy doing it. Mom!Wanda and Mama!Nat with the reader as their daughter. Reader gets sick and tries to hide it and push through it but they end up fainting or something like that, cue to mama bears mothering her to health. (Idk if fainting can be considered a trigger but if it's for you, I'd gladly read the fic with whatever you have in mind.). [Request by @darkstar225]
Summary: You're sick but you have to hid it from your moms because you want to go in mission, unfortunatly for you and Sam everything don't go well.
Type: Fluff
Warning: maybe 'fucked up' use three time
word count: 1319
--------
You awoke with a headache; it was unusual for you to become ill since gaining your powers. You didn't know if it was a bad thing, but you had to hide it; the next week, you'll go on a mission, but first you have to get your moms' approval. They said they would think about it if you managed to survive your training session. Easy, no? The rest of the day, your state was getting worse, but because you successfully hid it from an ex-assassin and a witch who could read your mind (even if she didn't do it without your consent), you could handle it a little longer.
The next day, otherwise, at the time you woke up, you thought you could die; if it was a cold, it was the worst you ever had. But you didn't really have the time to think about it; you checked your clock: 9 a.m., which meant you had one hour before the start of your training session. You decided to take a hot shower; it was helpful for the next 40 minutes. Today you were paired with Sam to upgrade your hand-to-hand combat skill. At first it was like usual, but suddenly your breath hurt your lungs. You stopped and tried to process what was happening, but Sam punched you in the face. It wasn't a strong punch; he restrained himself, but due to your poor condition, you fell on the training ground with your eyes closed; you were knocked out. When your body hit the ground, everyone in the room froze. There was silence until Sam kneeled next to you and asked, "Y/n? Y/n, are you all right?"
Obviously not, but you didn't mind that he couldn't think clearly. To be honest, no one could; the Falcon picked you up from the floor and ran to the med bay, followed by all the rest of the team.
"You're fucked up, Sam." Bucky said,
"I didn't do anything; we were training, and I just tried to punch her. "Usually, she'd dodge and hit me back," he defended himself.
"But now she's knocked out, and the only person with her was you. FRIDAY, could you please call doctor Cho?" Steve asked the A.I.
"It's done, Mr. Roger," the IA confirmed, but the hero couldn't respond before FRIDAY spoke again. "Mrs. Romanoff and Mrs. Maximoff are back."
There; he was fucked up. On their way to the kitchen, the two redheads found Helene, who was in a hurry and bumped into the shorter woman. "Sorry Natasha, I didn’t look where I was walking,” she apologized, and the Russian nodded.
“It’s okay, don’t worry, but you seem in a hurry, so we will not restrain you more.” She said and stepped aside to let the doctor resume her course. Wanda just had the time to put the bags on the counter when FRIDAY spoke.
“Mrs. Maximoff, Mrs. Romanoff, the doctor needs you in the infirmary right now.” The two women exchange a confused look before heading to where they were called. In front of the room, the witch felt a wave of fear and sadness, and she started to worry. Of course, Nat noticed and grabbed her hand before they walked into the room.
Their eyes widened when they saw you in the bed; they rushed to you before any of them could say anything Sam explained what’s happened. “How couldn’t you notice she was not like usual?” the Russian yelled at him, and nobody found the courage to defend him.
Wanda approached you and cupped your cheek. "Don't worry, dragă (darling), she's fine," the Sokovian assured her, and Helen spoke up.
"Don’t worry, Natasha I just got the results from the test, and it seems she just has a cold.” The doctor reassured her, and the ex-assassin seemed to be more calm. “She just needs to rest for a week. I’ll give you some medicine in case she needs it after she wakes up.” Everyone except your mothers left you after your mothers nodded.
After two hours, you awoke. You were surrounded by two worried redheads. “Hey, you.” you said softly.
“Hey, you.” Wanda said, and Natasha gave you a soft smile. “How are you feeling?” the witch asked you.
“Like I collided with a bus, but he was moving. But I think I'm okay," you said, looking around and raising your brows. "Where am I?" you inquired.
“In the infirmary,” the Black Widow said this time, “we were really worried about you when Sam told us what’s happened.”
You sighed “I’m sorry,” you said quietly.
“Since when?” Wanda asked, and her wife looked at her confused. “Since when have you been like this?” she added.
“Yesterday.” You admitted it shyly.
“Yesterday!?” the older woman loudly repeated, and you nodded. “Why did you hide it from us?” She inquired, a little concerned about her failure to notice it earlier.
You played with your fingers to try to erase your anxiety, “because you said you’d let me go with you if I finished the training session. And I wanted to make you proud of me, and show you I was ready. So, I forced myself to not let you know and not think about it when I was near Mama.” You paused a moment, saying, "I'm sorry if it makes you worry," and some tears found their way into the corner of your eyes.
“Hey, it’s okay.” Nat cupped your cheek and brushed your tears with her thumb. “It’s okay; we’re a little worried, but it’s okay; we’re not mad or anything. You don’t have to cry, malyshka (baby girl)” their eyes were wet too.
You were about to speak again when a red whip lifted you. The scarlet magic tickled you “We can’t stay here, and you have to rest.” The witch said, and you laughed, “What is so funny?” She gave you a falsely curious look.
“It-haha…it’s tickling me.” You barely said and before you could notice she lend you on your bed. ‘Thank you,” you said, and they gave you a kiss on both cheeks before heading to the door. “Where are you going?’ you asked.
“We must cook you something. We’ll not let you like that.” Wanda said before they left the room. In the kitchen, everybody was waiting for the two women to give an update.
“How is our little fireball?” Tony asked.
“Much better,” Wanda replied, “she just needs rest. We put her in her bed, and we’ll cook something, so she’ll eat before sleeping again.” She explained, and after that, Natasha hit Sam’s head.
“What was that for?” he asked, a little scared.
“You hit our baby girl.” the Russian replied; “you’re lucky Wanda didn’t throw you away earlier,” she added, and the atmosphere changed. “And for the mission, I think we will let you go. We will stay with Y/n. I’ll text Fury.” She explained, nobody found any reason to argue; they know how much they love you, so it's obvious they’ll never let you alone in this condition.
You spent the next week in your bedroom, surrounded by your moms’ love; you couldn’t leave your bed without one of them following and making sure you were okay. Sam was not allowed to approach you for a month. It was pretty funny, and after that, he spent two months making sure you forgave him, even if you assured him it was not his fault.
This little incident proved how much they loved you, and of course you were glad even if you already knew that. You adored them just as much as they do.The world knew how scary the Black Widow and the Scarlet Witch were, and Sam could approve. But the world didn’t know how lovely and careful they could be, between them, of course, but twice as much with you.

✰ 𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠: Wanda Maximoff x variant!teen!daughter!Reader
✰ 𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲: in your original reality, you'd lost your mom. your only saving grace was that the multiverse was real, and there was a reality out there where you and your mom were safe and happy, and you were going to find that reality, no matter what it takes.
✰ 𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬: Dr Strange Multiverse of Madness spoilers, reality shifting but not really, M.O.M. fix it fic, fluff and angst with a happy ending, sorta permashifting, mentions of miscarriage, foster care, me making up a legend/prophecy, murder,
✰ 𝐚/𝐧: thank you for reading! there is a name mentioned, Caelestia, but that is not the reader's name! it's her 'witch' name, like Wanda's with name is the Scarlet Witch, if that makes sense!
to who ever reads this: don't bother asking for a part two, you won't get it. i am the owner of this fic, and this blog, and I, and only I, will decided what fic gets a part two and when. respect me and my wishes or get off my blog. thanks!
don't forget to read and reblog, and i do not give permission for my works to be posted anywhere other than tumblr. thank you.

you looked down at your notebook that held your shifting script. you were slowly losing hope. you'd tried every night for the past 8 months to shift, and you'd been unsuccessful, but you knew you couldn't give up. you needed your mom back, and you were going to get to her, no matter what.
"one more try," you thought to yourself, putting the book down and sliding in bed. you turned on your favourite shifting subliminal, and closed your eyes, trying to focus your breathing, and disconnect from your reality. before you could, however, a colossal boom echoed through your basement apartment, a bright blue light shocking you awake.
you jolted up, looking up at the star shaped portal hole that had opened in your bedroom, a young girl with short brownish black hair wearing a jean jacket with the american flag on it, standing in the middle.
"what the-" you said, sitting bolt upright in bed. "who-who are-" you stuttered, but the girl stepped out of the blue portal and approached you.
"are you Y/N Maximoff?" she asked, and you nodded, too in shock to use your voice. "good. you need to come with me." she said, walking back towards the portal.
you remained on your bed, unable to move. when the other girl realized you weren't moving, she turned to face you. she sighed, seeing you utterly confused. "look," she reasoned. "come with me or don't. i can't make you do anything, but if you don't come with me it's only a matter of time before she comes here." she said, and hearing the desperation in your voice, you stood up, and walked to stand beside her, before following her through the star shaped portal.
your stomach churned as you stepped through the portal, and into what looked like Kamar Taj. the young girl followed you through, and with a loud noise, the portal shut behind her.
"where am i?" you asked, apprehensively.
the girl, who was wearing a jean jacket with what looked like an american flag painted on it, looked at you confused. "Kamar Taj?" she said, but it sounded more like a question. "is there a Kamar Taj in your universe?" she asked.
you nodded. "well, yeah, but it's been long destroyed. where am i?" you asked again, and looked around you. "wait, did you say 'your universe?'" you asked. "am i in a d-"
"different universe? yeah." a deeper voice echoed from behind you, a voice that you remembered.
"Strange?" you said and flipped around, anger growing in your stomach.
"Maximoff. it seems that you know who I am. that makes things considerably easier."
"yeah, we do," you snapped at him, glaring him down, and trying to keep your powers under control. you hadn't quite mastered control yet. you and your mom were working on it until the incident. "you killed my mother." you growled, before remembering that this was a different universe, so different Strange. "or, my universes you killed her."
Strange sighed, looking down. he squeezed his eyes shut, before looking back up at him. "look, kid." he said. "i don't know what happened in your universe, or what I did in that universe, but in this universe, your mother is alive, and well." he said, and you felt your anger disappear instantly.
this was your chance. this was your chance to see your mom again, to live the life the both of you deserve, the life that was ripped from your hands by the man standing in front of you.
"w-what?" you asked, tears welling up in your eyes. "she's alive? can-can i see her?" you stuttered, eyes flicking between the teen and Strange.
"she's on her way," Strange said, but you could sense the hesitation. there was something he wasn't telling you, something important.
you crossed your arms, your eyebrows raising. "what aren't you telling me?" you asked, and Strange cleared his throat, looking down once more.
before either you or Strange could speak again, Wong entered, and finished Strange's sentence for him.
"she's coming here to kill America." Wong stated.
you furrowed your brow, confused. America? your mom was trying to kill the entire continent? while that made sense to you (she'd never fully adjusted to America), it also didn't. your mom wasn't that stupid.
"who's-" you started, before the teen behind you interrupted.
"I'm America."
oh. America is a girl.
'oh shit,' you thought to yourself. 'mama's trying to kill a kid.'
"Wh-" you began to say, but she cut you off.
"she's trying to kill me and take my powers."
you flipped to look at America.
"why? she has her own powers, right? like from HYDRA, from Strucker? powers that look like this?" you said and lifted your hand, forming a small energy ball with your powers.
America's eyes widened, fear forming on her face. "y-yeah, just like that."
you made the energy ball disappear, and dropped your hand. from the look on America's face, she'd clearly had an experience with witches that didn't go well.
"she wants to take America's powers to reunite with her children."
"children?" you interrupted.
"Billy and Tommy," Wong said.
"she had the twins?" you asked, tears rimming in your eyes once more.
"did she not..." Strange asked, but not finishing his question.
you shook your head, blinking rapidly, and swallowing, trying to not cry. "no. she didn't. because you killed her." you said, trying to keep the venom out of your voice, knowing the Strange in front of you didn't take your mom's life. "she was pregnant, with twins. two boys." you said, sniffling as your emotions tried to overflow.
"their names were going to be Billy and Tommy." you whispered, thinking of your younger siblings you only held once, when they were cold and lifeless, and so so small. "and then you killed her. they tried to save the babies, they really tried. but nothing could be done. they weren't far enough along, and as soon as mama's heart stopped, so did theirs."
Strange turned, and ran his hand down his face. he took a deep breath, before turning back, with actual regret in his eyes. "y/n, i am so sorry."
you shook your head. "it's not your apology to give. it was you, but it wasn't you." you explained. you sniffled, wiped your eyes on your sleeve, and forced a fake smile. "it's in the past." you assured, before looking at Wong.
"what do you need me to do?" you asked, and Wong gave you a smile.
"we were hoping your presence would help Wanda come to her senses. she's got the Darkhold, and it is poisoning her mind." he explained. "if we don't get her to stop, it becomes a choice between America, and your mother, and no one should have to make that choice."
you went to answer, before something caught your eyes outside, over the courtyard. you turned your head, and saw a red dot, growing larger in the sky.
"she's here," America said, fear in her voice.
"i'll do what I can." you explained.
Tumblr media
"all of this, for a child you met yesterday?" Wanda asked as Stephen slowed to a stop in front of her.
"Wanda, you are justifiably angry," Strange said, as he was face to face with Wanda, hovering high above Kamar Taj. "you've had to make terrible sacrifices."
"I blew a hole through the head of the man I loved." Wanda stated, her voice shaking. "and it meant, nothing. do not speak to me of sacrifice, Stephen Strange." you watched as she moved her hands down, using her powers to move closer to Strange. "if you give me what I want, I will send you to a world where you can be with Christine."
you watched from the ground as Strange backed up. "the full might of Kamar Taj stands against you." he stated, just as Wong instructed the students to take defensive positions. "do not dare to enter these sacred grounds." he stated firmly.
your eyes watered as you saw Wanda. your Mama. she was alive. it may not be the exact same Mama who gave birth to you and raised you, but it was still your Mama. you took a step forward. 'if i could just talk to her,' you thought to yourself. 'even if i can't stay with her, maybe i could change her mind.' but before you could even vocalize those thoughts to Wong, he shook his head.
"not yet. Strange has a plan."
you gave the sorcerer supreme a pleading look. "but Wong if i could just talk to her, i-"
"no, not yet. wait." he said, his head turning from you, back up to Strange and Wanda in the sky.
"you have no idea just how reasonable i've been."
Strange chuckled. "yeah, the Book of the Damned, calling yourself a witch, conjuring creatures to abduct a kid, i don't exactly call that being reasonable."
Wanda half smirked, her eyes still watery. "sending those creatures after her instead of myself was...mercy." she began. "and in spite of your...hypocrisies, and insults, i have begged you to safely get. out. of. my. way." she emphasized, firmly speaking to Strange. "you have exhausted my patience," she continued. "but i do hope you understand, that even now what's about to happen.
"this is me, being reasonable." she finished with a whisper.
"HOLD!" Wong shouted, before looking at you. "go," he said.
"what?" you asked, unsure what he meant.
"go! go to Strange!" he clarified. "the plan!"
you gulped, but nodded, and pointed your hands at the ground. but before you could take flight, Wanda aimed her powers at Strange, and a huge bang echoed through the air as it met the invisible shield.
Strange landed beside you a moment later, shaking his head. "forget it. didn't work."
Wanda flew to the side, and Wong yelled again.
"reinforce the shield!"
you watched as Wanda threw bursts of her powers at Kamar Taj, all of them being deflected by the shield. she aimed once more, but stopped, narrowing her eyes, and trying to enter the students minds.
"she's trying to get into their heads." Strange said, and Wong shouted once more.
"sorcerers, fortify your mind!"
nothing happened for a few moments, until a sorcerer with shoulder length curly hair dropped his shield, and ran in the opposite direction, knocking onto other sorcerers along the way.
the shield began to break up, a butterfly effect from the sorcerer running.
a hole formed in the shield, and Wanda shot her powers through it. the force of it hitting the ground threw you backwards, and into a pillar, knocking you out cold.
Tumblr media
when you came to a few moments later, Wanda was still unleashing her anger and power on Kamar Taj. sorcerers were flying left and right, and energy balls were hitting the ground with immense force.
Strange and Wong called for everyone to take cover, just before Wanda landed, a loud boom rippling through the cement below you.
Strange and Wong seemed to forget about you, running inside after the students, but Strange came to his senses and stopped at the door.
"you want the girl, you'll have to go through me." he said.
she opened her mouth to respond, but you interjected, remembering what Wanda had in her possession.
"Mama, stop!" you shouted.
Wanda's head flipped towards you, confusion written on her face.
"y/n, this isn't-" Strange began but you shook your head.
"no, i can do this!" you insisted.
"she could hurt you," he said. "seriously hurt you."
"i have powers too, or did you forget?" you asked, and you felt Wanda's eyes focus in on you.
"who is this?" she demanded.
Stephen took his eyes off of you, and looked back at Wanda.
"answer my question, Stephen." she said, eerily calm.
he sighed, but answered her. "she is your daughter. your daughter from another universe. we thought she could talk you out of this, but you decimated Kamar Taj before-"
"i have a daughter?" Wanda asked, a tear rolling down her face.
Stephen nodded. "yes, Wanda, you do."
Wanda tilted her head to the side. "how does bringing my daughter, from another universe, help me to not leave this one? you brought me someone else's child, and expect me to stop?"
"i lost you." you said. you'd finally pulled yourself to your feet, holding onto the pillar for support. "the Strange from that universe, he killed her. he killed her, and my brothers." you said, sniffling as you were overcome with emotion once more.
"you have two options, Wanda." Stephen said, but Wanda didn't take her eyes off of you. "either leave, or I will be forced to have you meet the same fate as her mother."
"and what of y/n?" Wanda asked, finally turning back to Stephen. "no mother, no brothers, no family. i leave here, what happens to her?"
"that is up to her." Strange replied, looking at you. "it's your choice kid. you can stay, or you can go back."
"i don't have anyone." you said quietly. "no family, no friends. i'm in foster care, and i'm constantly moving around. my belongings consist of a garbage bag full of clothes and books." you explained. "it's not a hard choice." you looked at Wanda. "i want to stay."
"well, there-" Stephen began, but you cut him off.
"if i get to stay with her." you finished, and Stephen looked at you, alarmed.
"no, y/n, you can't."
"why not?" you demanded.
"y/n, she's deranged and dangerous. you know the legend of the Scarlet Witch, it is her destiny to destroy the world."
you chuckled. "what about Caelestia, her daughter? do you know her legend, her prophecy?"
"can't say I have." he responded, and you laughed.
"so you read my mother's prophecy, written by Chthon himself, but you don't bother to read mine?" you asked, amused. typical Strange.
"look, kid, it's not like i have the most recent edition of the Darkhold just lying around to read whenever i please."
before you answered, a whooshing sound was heard, and the Darkhold appeared in front of Wanda. she flipped through the pages, but before she could find what she was looking for, you began to speak.
"Caelestia, first and only daughter of the Scarlet Witch. unbound by factions and invocation, but outcast. Come will the day that her true power will be known, a seed which will not sprout but burst into flame. it shall be then, when the lost scarlet falls away, revealing it's true form, that Caelestia, the exiled one, will bring forth a calm, and a unity." you recited.
"i am meant to be with her, i can see that now." you said. "i never knew what it meant when i was younger, neither did she." you said, looking at Wanda. "i was brought into my world to save her. just as my mother sacrificed her life for mine."
you turned to Wanda, who was looking at you. her head was tilted slightly, and tears rimmed her eyes. "Mama, i know you're hurting, believe me, i do." you said. "i know what it feels like, to remembering holding the boys in your arms, and be painfully reminded that you don't have them. but killing America and taking her powers won't make that pain go away."
"you don't know that."
"i do. what do you think happened to my universes Strange after he killed my mother? do you think i let him walk away?" you asked, walking closer to her. "of course i didn't. he took my mother, he took you, away from me. i wanted him to fix it, to bring her back, but he couldn't. i thought ending his life would make me feel better, but it didn't. it changed nothing."
"but i'm not just killing her."
"i know that, Mama. you're going to take her powers. i did that too; it's not worth it. think of our powers like a book character in a series. when you take another's powers, it's not like when you read a different book, not from that series. it doesn't give you a secondary power that you can switch between whenever you want. it's like reading a book within that original series. the second book in a series makes the main character stronger, their journey stronger. taking another's power gives us just that, more power. it melts and warps that new power into our own, adding it to our existing power. by killing America and taking her power, the only thing that will change is your strength. you won't be able to travel universes like her." you explained, hesitantly making your way towards her.
"but the boys, i-" she said, a tear running down her cheek.
"i lost them too." you said. "hours after i lost you. we've both lost them, but by you walking away, and me being with you, we're fulfilling a prophecy." you explained. you came to a stop in front of her, and looked her in the eyes.
"Mama, i know you. you're hurting. the world hasn't been kind to you. they've treated you like the villain, like an object. but these thoughts inside your head aren't yours. they are the Darkhold's. they are Chthon's. he said you were destined to destroy the world, but you don't have to. by fulfilling my prophecy, we'll be proving yours wrong. proving him wrong. you're a good person, Mama, i know you are. you can be a Mama again." you said, and Wanda sniffled, dropping the Darkhold.
"h-how?" she asked. "i didn't give birth to you, i could never give you what you need, or deserve."
"yes you can," you expressed, meeting her eyes. "you lost your children, i lost my mom. but my mother was you, so i am your daughter, and you are my mother. you, Mama, are all i need. i need my Mama." you whispered, swallowing the lump in your throat. "don't send me back, Mama." you asked, tears flowing from your eyes.
you looked down, and held back the sob that was fighting it's way out of your throat. you felt arms wrap around you, and you head rested on a warm chest.
"never." Wanda whispered. "you're all i need too, i think. i won't send you back. i'll be your Mama."
"Wanda, this isn't like in Westview. she isn't going to age up when it is convenient for you. she is her own person, with her own feelings, personality, and power. this isn't a fantasy, this is real life. are you sure you're ready for that?" Stephen asked, and Wanda looked up at the sorcerer.
"yes. she is my daughter, and i need to protect her." she said. "thank you, for bringing her to me. i don't know what i would have done if she didn't talk sense into me."
"you would have killed me, for starters," America said, from behind Stephen, a smirk on her face.
"i am sorry, America. i know that doesn't make up for what i did, but-"
"no, don't. don't apologize," America said. "there's no need. i lost my mothers too, i know how it feels to lose someone that important. just-" she said. "don't try to kill me again, and we can just forget this ever happened."
Wanda nodded. "agreed." she turned to Wong. "can i take my daughter home now?" she asked, and Wong nodded.
"of course, Miss Maximoff. thank you for making the right decision." he said, and Wanda nodded to you.
"i couldn't have done it if it wasn't for her." she said with a smile.
"i'll work on the lunch box," Strange said from behind you. "and i promise to not kill you." he finished with a smile.
Wanda didn't respond, she just smiled. she turned, and after pressing a kiss to your hair, the two of you were flying into the sunset.
Tumblr media
6 months later
you were sat on the floor, trying to undo the knot in your Air Forces. "Блядь," you whispered, before giving up and using your powers to untie them. the laces finally untied, and you were able to slip them onto your feet. you retied them, without double knotting them this time, and stood up. (fuck)
after another glance in the mirror at your outfit, you grabbed your backpack off of the bed, and headed down stairs for breakfast.
you dropped your bag off at the front door, before heading into the kitchen. as you entered the kitchen, you were greeted by a ceramic plate crashing into your head.
"ой!" you exclaimed rubbing your forehead before looking at your mother. "you and your flying saucers," you said, and she looked back at you with a smirk on her face, before walking over. (ouch!)
"i'm sorry, малышка." she said, kissing your forehead. "i had my back turned and didn't hear you come in." (babygirl)
"все в порядке, мама," you said, giving her a smile. "what's for breakfast?" (it's okay, mama)
"your favourite," she said, as you sat down at the table. you smiled, thanked her, and dug in.
(Wanda POV)
Wanda watched as you ate your breakfast eagerly. the both of you had come so far since that day at Kamar Taj. with the help of Stephen, you were enrolled in school, and had fully settled into life on Earth 616. you'd formed a close friendship with America, and to her slight dismay, Peter Parker. you'd helped her immensely. she felt content, and happier than she can ever remember being.
she was a mother. yes, she didn't have her boys, but she had you, her daughter. the daughter who came from another universe to save her, and she thanked the gods every day that Strange and Wong brought you here.
"can America come over after school? we have Kamala's birthday party tonight but Stephen can't pick her up until after the party." you asked from the table, taking a sip of orange juice as you looked down at your phone.
"of course," Wanda replied, with a smile. she had worried that her past would hinder your ability to make friends, but it seemed you had no issues with that, other than the fact that all of your friends seemed to have powers. but, you'd told her that it didn't bother you.
'it just means i don't have to hide who i truly am, Mama,' you'd justified to her, and then let the guilty thoughts go. "are you guys going to be here for dinner?"
you nodded, putting your phone down. you stood up, grabbed your plate, and placed it in the sink. "yeah, the party doesn't start until 7."
Wanda nodded, just as her alarm went off on her own phone.
"дерьмо," Wanda said. "we gotta go, baby, or we're gonna be late." (shit)
you nodded, grabbed your phone off the counter, and followed Wanda into the entryway. the two of you got ready quickly, and you grabbed your backpack.
Wanda looked at your outfit. "are you going to be warm enough in that?" she asked, and you nodded.
"yeah, Mama." you said exasperatedly. she raised her eyebrows, and watched in amusement as you sighed, but opened the closet and grabbed your coat out of it. "but i will take my coat if it makes you happy."
Wanda opened the door, and you walked out. "it does, малышка, thank you." she said, and shut the door behind her. (babygirl)
she shook her head, amused, as she watched you walk towards the car. even when you were sassy, she couldn't be more thankful for you.

one in a million - wandanat x adopted!daughter!reader
from @ssa-detectiveterribledetective’s request
word count; 2,290
a/n; i am on a mama!wandanat roll.. clearly😚 anyways i hope y’all enjoy this:] feedback is always appreciated <3
your story was one like millions, but yet one in a million all at once.
like many other little girls, you were kidnapped and taken by an organisation known as the red room. but unlike the other widows yelena had freed, you were undoubtedly the youngest. the blonde had almost punched a hole through the wall when she saw your young face flash on the screen in front of her, your age a single digit.
six.
you were six years old. yelena thought of natasha, how she had fought for six year old yelena all those years ago on the plane strip in cuba. she was aware that the avengers had recently been reinstated, natasha having reached out to her again in hopes of getting yelena to join them.
she had put off giving her sister an answer, citing the excuse that she wanted to complete her mission of freeing the widows first, even though they both knew she would be faster if they worked together.
yelena had no capacity to care for this child. she wasn’t even sure if she’d be able to help her the minute the dust took effect and released her from the mind control, unsure if this child was still training or was already trained. so she made a call.
it was also the first time yelena got to meet wanda maximoff. despite being wary of the witch, she saw the way she and her sister looked at each other. natasha deserved to have that type of love in her life.
unfortunately there was little time for pleasantries. she managed to hunt you and another older widow down, both of you posing as a mother daughter duo. they had to wait until you had been picked up before freeing the two of you. the minute the door swung open, yelena threw the vial on the floor causing a explosion of red dust. everyone was on alert, in case the two widows decided to fight back.
“mother?” you question, head turning to the older widow next to you. the widow had shook her head a few times as she looked down at you, before looking back to the trio in front of her.
“she’s.. she’s just a child..” the widow mumbled quietly as she stepped away and hurried into the house. yelena slips past you to go talk to the other widow and you are left alone with the two redheads.
you looked up at them curiously, head tilted to the side as you stared at them questioningly.
“are you my new handlers?” your posture straightened just a little as you awaited their reply. it clicked in natasha’s mind in that moment, you hadn’t been chemically subjugated. wanda seemed to have come to the same conclusion, her sharp intake of breath not going unnoticed by the assassin and assassin in training.
“did i.. did i do something wrong?” you had only been with this widow for several months, the mission hadn’t even been close to completion- so why were you being taken away?
“no.. no you didn’t do anything wrong.” natasha replied as she squats down so she’s closer to your height. “my name’s natasha, what’s yours?” unlike the other widows, you had no name in your file. the only information had been a date of birth.
you tilted your head in confusion as you replied, “i don’t have a name, i’m always given a different one by my handler.”
wanda could feel her eyes burn with unshed tears. natasha on the other hand, kept her composure and reaches out a hand to you.
“that’s alright milaya. how about you come with us? the lovely lady behind me is wanda.” you repeated both their names in your head a few times, before nodding in response.
“okay ma’am.” you replied, reaching out to grab the redhead’s hand.
“please don’t call either of us ma’am. natasha is just fine, or nat if you’d like.” natasha stood up and led you away to the car, wanda trailing after the both of you as she tried to keep her anger at bay.
you were compliant as natasha loaded you into the car seat she had prepared in advance. wanda slid into the passenger seat, her gaze trained on you through the rearview mirror. natasha shut the car door and turned back to the house to check up on yelena.
“ma’am- i’m sorry, um. miss wanda?” you called out tentatively.
“yes milaya?” wanda replied, turning her body to face you.
“what’s our next objective? for the mission?” your young voice was a sharp contrast to the heaviness of your words and wanda couldn’t help but clench her jaw in anger.
“nothing milaya. you’re safe now, okay? the red room, dreykov, he can’t hurt you anymore. natasha and i, we will care for you. we will protect you, i promise.”
you were a little confused. you weren’t sure why the wanted to protect you from dreykov. i mean sure, he was mean and scary but.. he told you that there were meaner and scarier things out in the world.
he was saving little girls.. wasn’t he?
but wanda didn’t seem like the type of person to lie. she was nicer than dreykov too, she hadn’t hit you yet which was also a good thing. deciding to not think about it too much, you lean back onto your seat and stare out the window.
the next few years pass by surprisingly quick. it took you a while to get settled down, but eventually you were thriving in the care of wanda and natasha. they had been the best parents you could ever ask for, always supporting your every decision and only when you were older did you realise the magnitude of what they saved you from all those years ago.
which brings you to your current dilemma. you had been studying a biology degree for the last one year but you kept debating on whether or not you wanted to change it.
“i don’t know greyson.. growing up i truly believed that i was in a safe situation but i was not. if i switch my degree, i could hopefully help do more, make sure that no one slipped through the system like i did.” you bang your head on the table, causing your friend to roll your eyes at your dramatics. “plus i’m really regretting this course, i know that it’ll be good on the resume but i just. i feel like i would prefer sociology.”
“you’ve been whining about this for the past month. if you want to do it i say just do it.” greyson shrugs nonchalantly and you raise your head to look at them with a small pout. they had been your close friend since high school and the two of you managed to get into the same college. they also happened to be studying sociology, which was how you were even introduced to the idea to begin with.
“but what if they don’t approve?” you whine a little.
“who, your moms?” greyson scoffs a little at your confirming nod. “i genuinely dont think you could do any wrong in their eyes. they clearly adore you and have been supporting you for forever. just talk to them, they’ll understand.”
you sigh a little more as you let your head fall to the table again. you’ll be back home in a week for your summer break and you’re honestly dreading having this conversation.
-
if there is one thing wanda is incredibly good at, is knowing when something is bothering you. she picks it up the minute she sees you waiting for them at the entrance of your school. both natasha and wanda step out of the car, the ex-assassin helping you put your belongings in the car while wanda greets you with a tight hug.
you sigh a little as you snuggle closer to wanda, enjoying your mom’s familiar embrace.
a light cough had the two of you separating as you turn to give your mama an equally tight hug. a honk from the car has you jumping in fright and you peek in only to have your lips curl into a large grin when you see your aunt yelena inside. you fling open the door and clamber in, cuddling right into yelena’s side. your moms climb into the front and you four spend the journey back to your hometown catching up with each other.
yelena shares all the gossip about the upcoming adventures and the trio teases you when they see the blush decorating your cheeks at the mention of a certain multi dimensional traveller.
“she’s very excited for you to comeback, honestly if it weren’t for this mission she’d probably be here.” yelena has a knowing smirk on her face, and you merely groan in response. but you make a mental note to text the older girl about meeting up sometime in the summer.
soon, the car pulls up into the family home that your moms bought when they decided to retire from avenging. now that they are safely back home, all you have to do is move your items inside before wanda uses her magic to float everything upstairs.
yelena decides to start on dinner while you sit with your moms the couch, one of wanda’s sitcoms playing on the TV. you snuggle close to natasha, arms wrapping around her waist while you prop your feet onto wanda’s lap, sticking your tongue at her when she half heartedly protests.
the familiar comfort of your childhood home and the embrace of your mama is enough to make your start dozing off. but a small tap to your thigh and call of your name (that had been picked by wanda and natasha after adopting you) has you perking up.
“malysh, is everything alright?” wanda questions you, her gaze soft and inquisitive. you’re instantly taken back to when you were younger and still trying to adapt. you had been taught to always be strong, to be the best and that weakness should never be shown. wanda would always seem to know though. she would pull you aside and give you this exact same look, gently asking if you were alright or if you needed anything. if she didn’t get it out of you, natasha would.
“you can tell us anything, you know that right?” natasha speaks up then, the feeling her hand rubbing your back bringing you back to the present. you sigh softly as you think about how to start this conversation.
“i think.. i think i might want to change my degree?” your voice was hesitant, your gaze darting around the room but trying to avoid starting at either of your moms. “i know a biology degree would be good and i really really want to make you guys proud but..”
your shaky exhale came out more like a choked sob and you shifted a little to hide your face into natasha’s neck.
“oh milaya..” natasha coos softly as she pulls you closer, pressing a kiss onto the top of your head. which only made you cry a little harder.
“i know i shouldn’t give up so easily but i really don’t think i can finish it and i just can’t see myself pursuing anything science related. i’m sorry.” you choke out, your grip on natasha tightening even more.
“malyshka you have nothing to be sorry for..” wanda’s hand rubs up and down your thigh soothingly and you use your legs to try and bring her closer, eventually you’re somewhat seated on both their laps.
once you settle down, wanda continues to speak. “all we ever want for you is to be happy. so if biology isn’t for you, that’s okay! i’m sure we’ll able to find something you’d like and that’s all that matters hm? we’ll always be proud of you, milaya. no matter what.”
by now your crying has subsided and you nod in response to wanda’s words.
“have you thought of a degree? or are you still thinking? you could take a gap year if you need it.” natasha’s suggests as she cards her hands through your hair. you had dyed it red before leaving and now your roots were beginning to show.
you shifted your face out of natasha’s neck as you hum softly. “i was actually thinking of doing sociology..? if that’s okay.”
“of course it’s okay myshka.” wanda leans forward to press a kiss onto your forehead, your lips curling into a smile at the familiar affection. “whatever you want, tasha and i will support you.”
the three of you continue to talk and you soak up all the attention you’re given. you’ve missed this, so so much. you had expected to be homesick, of course, but being away was much harder than you had anticipated.
you stick close to yelena throughout dinner, knowing she’ll have to leave soon to go back to work. after promises of you heading down to the compound once everyone else is back and you teasing yelena just a little more about kate, it’s just you and your moms.
you and natasha wash up the dishes together, music playing through a speaker while wanda prepares dessert. a few james bond movies later, you’re shyly asking if you can crash their room tonight which of course they never say no to.
you knew your life was definitely a one in a million, it’s not everyday you get rescued and taken in by two avengers. you’re just thankful that life played out the way it did, even with the rough start. you know that no matter what happens, you’ll always have natasha and wanda as your number one support system, and you really couldn’t ask for more.

The Avengers
Platonic Natasha Romanoff x Wanda Maximoff x teen!reader
TW: ANGST, mention of abuse, hurt/comfort, don't read if it triggers you!
Summary: You have a heart to heart(s) with Natasha and Wanda, the two women are convincing you to let them help you.
NOT YOUR FAULT pt. 2
Tumblr media
The next few days were anxious for both Natasha and you. You wanted to talk to you but you were too afraid, she wanted to talk to you but she was afraid. She waited for you to come to her but you didn't, you waited for her to cone to you but she didn't. Anxiety was growing inside you with every passing day towards the weekend.
It was on friday morning when Natasha was pouring herself a cup of Irish coffee... but without the coffee. Weekend is close, which means you are going home again. She dreaded at the thought of going back to that place. The redhead sat down at the table, hands shaking while drinking her booze. Wanda entered the kitchen and noticed the scene. "What's up with you, it's not even noon." She chuckled. Natasha only sighed. "Is it about Y/N?" Wanda got worried. "How did y- Hey, did you just read my- That's private Wanda!" The older woman complained. "Not when it comes to child abuse, Natasha, you should now that. We have to tell Tony and inform the authorities, report the bastard." Wanda was firm and stern. "Fine. But first you'll help me talk to Y/N since someone doesn't know how to keep their nose out of people's business." Natasha gulped down the whiskey and stood up.
"Talk to me about what?" You dragged your feet to the kitchen opening the cabinet. You saw Natasha and Wanda looking at eachother when they both sat down at the table. "Y/N, sit down" the younger woman paused. "Can I at least eat?" you protested. "I know about your dad." Now that got your attention.
Wanda kneeled in front of you. "Please talk to us, let us help you" she held your hands in hers. "Nobody can help me" you whispered. "Yes, yes, we can. All we have to do is inform Tony and he'll help you report your father" Natasha chimed in. "My father is a chief of police" you emphasized the word father. "And my mom... she loves him, and sticks up for him. I tried to tell at school once..." you turned to Natasha. "He bribed the principal and the nurse at school and I got a beating from both mom and dad" you explained looking down, a tear falling off your cheek when Wanda lifted your chin up. "We'll take you to our private hospital. Helen Cho will examine you and gather evidence, we'll be with you every step on the way" Wanda tried to convince you. "You're safe here with us. And... If I'm wrong, I promise you, I'll kill your parents with my bare hands." Natasha chuckled at the younger woman's comment. "I'll help" the older readhead added.
There was a battle going on in your head, anxiety overflowing you, terrible scenarios replaying in your mind. "I'm so afraid" you blinked away your tears. Natasha stood up, walked towards you and hugged you. There was silence... a pause. They were so damn patient and understanding. Wanda looked at you with such warmth in her eyes you almost felt overwhelmed. "Please, Y/N, trust us." the woman holding your hands begged you. "Fine." You gave up and gave a weak smile.

Grew up and fade away
- here's the last request of all time :)) I'll miss writing fics ig but the good news is I'll probably just delete the app so you guys can still enjoy my fics!! It's been a great year and a half with this app :3
"She's never gonna understand, Nat" Wanda spoke in a hushed tone.
A furrowed eyebrow and worried looks have been shared all night. Never in a million years, had they thought this could happen. You are so precious and sweet.
"Mama?"
They immediately put a smile on their faces. Trying to get rid of the frown and act like everything is fine.
"Yes, honey?" Wanda answered.
"Where are we going?" you questioned. "And why do I need to bring Mrs. Widow?" you were referring to the plushie they gave you on your 5th birthday.
Wanda looked at Natasha sending a signal to help her out because she couldn't act normal and tears were starting to build up in her eyes.
"Well, honey." Nat pondered. "Your mama and I thought we could hang out with Mrs. Widow today" she lied.
"But I only bring Mrs. Widow when you and Mama are not around" you pouted. "Are you gonna go on another trip?" you asked. Usually, they'd bring Mrs. Widow with you to Tony's to look out for you when they were on their mission.
"Oh no baby" Wanda butted in. "We're just gonna have a little get-together" she bitterly smiled. "Like a tea party"
"Okay!!" you giggled.
Oh, how innocent you were, Natasha thought. How could they leave someone like you?
On the way to your destination, you recognize the streets. You know where the car was going. And you prayed you guys were just gonna pass there.
As the car stopped your heart dropped. "Mommy? Why are we here?" Natasha looked at you and just smiled. You got out of the car confused about what was going on. You can hear Wanda's silent cry and you can get rid of the pounding in your chest.
"I don't wanna go in there" you murmured seeking comfort from your mommy by holding your arms up to get carried.
Your parents greeted the people there until they got into an office. You guys sat in silence and your grip on your mom grew stronger. You didn't want to let go.
"Mrs. and Mrs. Romanoff?" a lady with formal attire asked. Your parents simply nodded.
"She's ready for her" she ushered.
For her? Does she mean me? you thought.
When Natasha carried you to another room a person was waiting. She had the same hair as you, the same eyes, and the same nose.
"Is that my daughter?" the lady asked.
Your grip tightens more than ever. Natasha was trying to pry off your arms so the lady could have a look at you. But the more she tried the more you clung to her.
"It's okay, honey" Wanda assured.
"No!" you bite.
"It's okay, someone just wants to meet you" Wanda assured again but you weren't dumb you know where this is going.
"No, mama!" you insisted.
Natasha desperately pried you off her until your grip grew weak. She passed you to the lady like a piece of toy. You trashed around not caring who you hit.
"It's okay I'm your real mother," the lady said but you didn't care.
"NO!" you shouted. "Mama help!" you desperately cried.
Wanda cried seeing you like this. They never knew a day could come that you were gonna leave their side. Getting you from foster care when you were only 7 months old brought them joy and now that you're seven the real mother wants to take you back.
"Mama!!!! Mommy!!!!" you sobbed. They never moved and never tried to interfere. It was getting on your nerves. "MAMA!!!!"
They hadn't heard you cry like this in a while. Your cry shattered their hearts into pieces.
"Maybe it's better if you guys head out" the lady with a formal attire said.
"NO!" you insisted. "Mommy don't leave me" you wailed.
Oh, how Wanda wanted to take you and run miles from here. How desperate she was to not bring you back here. But still, they slowly went out the door.
"MAMA!!!" you wailed again trying to pry your hands out of the random lady who claims to be your mother.
"I don't want to be here!" you shouted.
"Mama, Mommy please don't leave me" you sobbed.
But all they did was smile.
P.s i dont really know how foster care works😭 bare with me for the sake of angst

———————————————————-
Y/n’s pov
I sat atop the cliff crouched down with my pistol as i watched the team swerve in and out. I had been told to stay put. To not move which sucked because I could fight just as well as them but I’m not about to go against the orders and be screamed at. I heard a rustle in the bushes beside me and whipped around holding my gun out ready to shoot until Wanda stepped out. “It’s just me. It’s time to get back to the jet.” She said in the same cold tone I’m used to.
I stood and followed her to the jet, once aboard I sat in the back after grabbing my bag and waited for the rest of the team to trickle in. “Why didn’t you step up?” I looked up to see Steve standing over me. “We needed the help.”
“Stay put. Don’t move in no circumstances. Do you hear me?” I said standing up. “Your exact words Steve. I’m not about to go against orders.” Natasha stormed on to the jet, her eyes gleaming.
“I almost got shot out there kid! Where the hell were you?!”
“Being lazy as usual?” Tony said as he plopped down in the drivers seat of the quinjet and took off. I stumbled back and fell into the seat earning a quiet giggle from Wanda making me close my eyes and turn around in my seat.
A Few Hours Later/ Wanda’s POV
Nat and I were curled up in our room with a sitcom on the background as her fingers ran through my damp hair. “She was cute on the jet today. The way she stood up to Steve.”
“Hmmm… who?” Nat asked quietly.
“Y/N. Steve told her to stay put and when he tried to ream her out she stood up to him.” I said looking up at her, her face scrunched up in a thinking look.
“He told her that?” She asked looking down at me. “I reamed her out too… I didn’t mean too… I thought-“
“You do that a lot my love.” I sighed. She pouted looking back at the ceiling.
“I don’t mean to come off so harsh…” She muttered. I shrugged and let out a yawn making her chuckle. “Alright. Time to sleep detka.” Tasha pressed a kiss to my head and turned the tv off before the two of us settled down. I heard her soft snores pretty quick but couldn’t seem to settle myself.
I stood after unwrapping her arms from around my waist and made my way to the kitchen, passing y/n’s door. I froze hearing quiet sobs coming from her room. My heart shattered as I leaned against the wall for a few minutes before I heard shuffling and quickly ducked around the corner just in time to avoid being seen by y/n coming out of her room. A soft click announcing her closing her door behind her as her feet padded down the hall.
I followed down slowly, giving her time to do what she needed to do before entering the room. The way the girl froze and slammed the carton of milk down on the counter before she quickly shoved it into the fridge, grabbed the mug she had taken out back in the cupboard and quickly shuffled out of the kitchen making my heart sink even lower.

Sick Spider-Girl ft Wanda Maximoff and Natasha Romanoff
The Avengers Tower was bathed in a soft, dim light as the sun dipped below the New York skyline. In one of the rooms, Y/N Parker lay in bed, a silhouette against the pale glow. The room was quiet, except for the occasional muted sounds of the city below.
Y/N, known as Spider-Girl, was usually full of energy and vitality. However, tonight was different. The fever that had gripped her was relentless, leaving her feeling weak and achy. She curled under the blankets, shivering despite the warmth in the room. Her thoughts were foggy, and every move she made seemed to take a monumental effort.
Down the hall, in the living room, the air was thick with tension. Wanda Maximoff and Natasha Romanoff, two powerful and formidable women, were locked in a silent battle of wills. It was a fight that neither seemed willing to concede, even for the sake of the person lying sick in the other room.
Y/N had sensed the tension earlier, and it hurt more than any fever. The strained glances, the clipped words, it was all too familiar. The three of them were a makeshift family, brought together by circumstance and choice. Y/N, Wanda, and Natasha had shared laughter, tears, and battles, but tonight, the air was heavy with unspoken words.
In the quiet of her room, Y/N tossed and turned. She wasn't just sick physically, the emotional toll was equally overwhelming. She wished she could intervene, and smooth things over between Wanda and Natasha, but her body refused to cooperate.
The distant murmur of their voices reached her ears, the rise and fall of argument that she couldn't quite make out. Y/N groaned, a pitiful sound muffled by the pillow. She wanted them to stop, to come in and check on her, but pride held her back.
As the verbal skirmish escalated in the living room, Y/N's stubbornness kicked in. She couldn't stand being a burden, especially in their current state of discord. Ignoring the protesting ache in her body, she swung her legs over the edge of the bed.
The floor felt unsteady beneath her feet as she stood. The younger girl clutched the edge of the dresser, trying to steady herself. Her vision blurred, and she wobbled, but she pressed on. She couldn't let them see her weakness, not now.
The argument in the living room had reached a crescendo when Y/N, determined but frail, stumbled out of her room. She moved silently down the corridor, hoping they wouldn't notice her. Yet, every step felt like an eternity, and the distance between her and the living room seemed insurmountable.
Just as Y/N reached the threshold of the living room, the door swung open, revealing the formidable figures of Wanda and Natasha. Their eyes widened in surprise as they took in Y/N's pale, feverish form.
Natasha - Y/N! What are you doing out of bed?
Natasha's voice was a mix of concern and irritation.
Y/N - I'm fine. Just needed some air.
Y/N replied, her voice shaky but defiant.
Wanda's eyes, however, were sharp. She stepped forward, reaching out to steady Y/N, but the teenage girl brushed her off.
Y/N - I can take care of myself.
The tension in the room thickened. Y/N's stubbornness clashed with Wanda and Natasha's concern. The air crackled with unresolved emotions. Unbeknownst to all, the atmosphere held a combustible mixture that would soon explode.
Ignoring their worried glances, Y/N shuffled toward the living room door. The distant sound of the city seemed to call her. She needed space, a moment away from the suffocating presence of the people she cared about most.
As Y/N stepped into the living room, a sudden wave of dizziness swept over her. The world tilted, and for a moment, she felt weightless. Panic set in, but before she could react, everything went dark.
In the living room, Wanda and Natasha froze. The silence after Y/N's thud on the floor was deafening. Fear gripped them as they rushed to her side. Wanda's hands glowed with scarlet energy, ready to assess the situation.
Natasha - Y/N!
Natasha's voice trembled as she tried to wake the fallen hero. Wanda's magic gently probed for signs of life.
A groan escaped Y/N's lips as consciousness flickered back. Wanda and Natasha sighed in relief, their earlier conflict momentarily forgotten. Y/N's eyes fluttered open, confusion and vulnerability shining in them.
Y/N - What happened?
She mumbled, disoriented.
Wanda - You fainted.
Wanda answered, her voice a mix of worry and relief.
Natasha brushed a strand of hair from Y/N's forehead.
Natasha - You scared us, honey.
A sheepish smile played on Y/N's lips.
Y/N - Guess I'm not as invincible as I thought.
Wanda and Natasha shared a glance, the unspoken tension still lingering. But at that moment, the priority was clear: taking care of Y/N. Wanda conjured a damp cloth, gently placing it on Y/N's forehead.
Natasha - You need to rest.
Natasha said, her sternness softened by concern.
Y/N nodded with a rare vulnerability in her eyes.
Y/N - Yeah, I guess I do.
As Wanda and Natasha helped Y/N back to bed, a silent understanding passed between them. The fight, the unspoken words, it could wait. Right now, they had a sick family member to take care of, and that took priority over everything else.
In the quiet of the room, as Y/N drifted into a restless sleep, the weight of their makeshift family hung in the air. There would be time for conversations and resolutions, but for now, they would stand together, united by the unbreakable bond forged through battles, laughter, and, most importantly, shared concern for one another.

Note
so i checked out your guidelines and you said that you like plot to be included too so i hope this isn't too much for you.
R is 11 here if that's okay with you.
can i ask you to write an avengers x teen!reader where tony adopts a kid from foster care and the team is trying to get her to open up but she locks herself in her room because she's used to moving from home to home or being abused in the system so she's scared to do anything normal like interact and stuff like that. when they showed her room on the first day she was hesitant to go in bc she's used to poor treatment. Wanda and Nat are the first ones to notice her behavior and they point it out to the rest of the team. they come up with a plan to help her but it only pushes her further away from them bc she isn't used to that much attention. they decide that when she's ready she'll come to them so one game night she tip toes downstairs and peaks in the living room to see them having a good time. wanda or vision senses her energy and she tries to silently sneak back but they invite her in and she reluctantly joins them. she isn't too familiar with the games they're playing so they teach her then afterwards they watch a bunch of movies and they're glad they can give her the family she never had.
Family

Walking into an entirely new surroundings is always anxiety inducing, but it’s especially scary when the people leading you to your so called new room are the world’s mightiest heroes.
There’s two men and two women in front of her, she knows who they are, of course, but she isn’t going to bring it up. Surely they have already sensed it.
One of the men, Iron Man, or Tony, as he told her to call him, is talking constantly. His hands are moving up and down, side to side as he gestures to different rooms and what’s in them. He is walking right in front of her, creating a sort of barrier between them. Wanda on the other hand, is walking next to her, occasionally glancing down at her.
Y/N keeps her eyes on Tony’s back. She doesn’t want to look anyone in the eyes or seem too fearful by mapping out the place.
“And this here,” Tony stops walking and opens a door, “is your room.” He turns to look at her with a big grin.
Not moving, Y/N stares inside the room. The four of them keep looking at her, waiting to see her reaction, but they get none.
Tony clears her throat. “You can go in, kid.” With small steps, she goes into the room. “We know it’s a bit empty, but you just tell me whatever you need and want, and I’ll buy it.”
She doesn’t need anything. It’s not like this room will be hers for long. It’s usual for her to stay in a home for a month at best. So, it’s better to not get attached to anything or anyone.
Wanda has a frown on her face as she watches Y/N set down her tiny bag. She’s worried of the girl, but puts those feelings on the side, this is a big change after all.
“Should we leave you to settle in?” Steve speaks up when the silence starts to drag on for a long time. “Someone could come get you when dinner is ready.”
With a nod from Y/N, the four of them close the door and leave her alone with her thoughts. With no one around, she lets out a deep breath and starts inspecting the room. It’s bigger than any other room she has had, and cleaner.
It’ll definitely be harder to leave this room behind when the time eventually comes.
After two very uneventful days, Natasha and Wanda have started talking with the other Avengers how Y/N doesn’t seem to get better, even though they’re giving her plenty of space. So, they decide to try another approach.
Wanda knocks on the door with a huge smile. Some of the other team members are behind her with boxes.
Opening the door only slightly, Y/N peeks through the gap. “Hi!” Wanda waves. “We got you something, if you could open the door a bit more?” Her voice is gentle and on the quieter side.
Y/N opens the door properly. Her eyes widen when she noticed the others and all the boxes waiting there. “We bought you some furniture and decorations.” Natasha brings one of the boxes in the room. “Obviously, we don’t know for sure what you like, but I think we got some good stuff.”
She stays frozen on her spot, out of the way, staring at the others walking in and out of the room. There are so many of them at the same time. Y/N doesn’t understand what they’re doing. Is this a test?
In fear of being punish for a wrong reaction, she decides to not react at all. Her hands are shaking behind her back, but she doesn’t let them see her fear. She just stares at them with a stoic expression.
“What do you think?” Wanda asks once the things are set. “You can obviously change things around if they aren’t to your liking, but this is a good start, yeah?” When Y/N just nods mutely, Wanda’s smile falls.
A silence falls over the room. Very uncomfortable and heavy silence. “Well,” Natasha clears her throat. “We’ll let you be.”
When the door closes, Wanda and Natasha glance at each other. “That didn’t work out the way I wanted.” Wanda mumbles. “I really thought that’d help her get out of her shell.”
“Maybe we just need to let her be.”
She huffs. “I know, it’s just so difficult when I can basically hear her worries.”
“It’ll happen, lets just do it on her terms.”
A week goes by where it almost seems like Y/N pulled into her shell even more. She wouldn’t speak to anyone, or even want to physically be in the same room as someone else. One of the team members always had to go knock on her door and leave a plate of food in front of it, so she would eat.
Most of the team got back into their regular routines, though their worry stayed the same, but they couldn’t stand outside her door forever. Wanda and Natasha would talk to her through the door at times, even if the conversation was fully one sided.
Today, the Avengers decided to spend the evening playing different board games. It’s not unusual for them, as they like to do bonding activities together.
Tony knocked on Y/N’s door to ask her to join them, but only got a small head shake as an answer. However, after an hour and a half, Y/N opens the door carefully.
She sneaks towards the living room, being cautious not to make any noise. Stopping right before the room, she peaks in. All the team members are laughing and shouting together.
Y/N takes deep breaths to calm herself down, these kind of situations still make her incredibly nervous. Suddenly, Wanda turns to look at her.
Her eyes turn wide and she is just about to turn away to go back to her room’s safety, but Wanda speaks up before she can. “Hey, sweetheart. Do you want to join us?” Now some of the others turn to look at her.
With hesitance, Y/N starts walking towards them. They’re surprised by this, but try their best not to show it. “We’re playing Monopoly. You ever played it?” Tony asks as Y/N sits between Wanda and Natasha.
“No.”
“That’s alright, we’ll teach you.” Wanda smiles, putting one more pawn to the board.
Y/N stays quiet for quite some time during the game night, but when the evening goes on, she starts initiating conversation more and even leans on Wanda’s side at times.
Maybe this family is different after all, it certainly isn’t ordinary.

Can I please request a WandaNat and reader daughter please?
Natasha is our mum and is worried about us at school when we show up with a black eye.
Natasha's girlfriend Wanda is a teacher at a private school and gets us in. But finds out we have dyslexia and both women work hard to help us get up to the right reading level.
Or something. I'm not really sure, but anything you come up with will be amazing I'm sure 😉
Love your work ..... Happy thanksgiving !
Warnings: mentions of bullying and some other stuff.
Age: 15
Word Count: 1,133
Requests: Open
Summary: Read the request and it will explain everything
Requested by: @m0use123
Date: 23/02/2024
paring: Natasha and Wanda
A/N: Thank you for your request I hope that you like it even though it's not great but it just be like that sometimes.
Also Happy very very late Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year and whatever other holidays have passed since you sent in your request.
---⧗---
There used to be a time, believe it or not when you loved going to school but ever since you started high school everything changed.
You somehow managed to find yourself being the main target for the bullies in your year. Maybe it was because they found out that you were an Avenger's daughter who had no special abilities or that there was something wrong with your brain that constantly made you mess up on words when you had to read aloud in class.
They convinced you that you were worthless and that you would never achieve anything in life.
---⧗---
It was the last class of the day which happened to be gym and of course, your gym teacher thought it was a brilliant idea to have a game of dodgeball.
It was a disaster from the moment the game started. The bullies seemed to only be throwing the balls at you and either the teacher didn't notice or just didn't care but he didn't interfere once that was until one of them threw the ball right at your eye and you spent the rest of the class sitting on the bench holding an ice pack to your eye.
Finally, the torture ended and you made it home without any other injuries apart from the very swollen soon-to-be black eye.
You stood outside the door with the key in your hand hoping that your mom wouldn't be there. You knew that she was going to see it eventually it's not like that you just avoid her completely for the next week or so while it healed.
Just in case she was in there you put up your hood and then unlocked the door.
You walked into the apartment and of course, your mom was sitting on the couch but she was on her laptop hopefully she's distracted enough for you to quickly get past her without her saying anything.
"How was school baby?" Natasha asked.
"Fine." You responded continuing to walk to your room.
You had done it you managed to get past her without her saying anything.
"Stop right there Y/N," Natasha said standing up and walking over to you.
Well, you got away with it for a while 10 seconds.
You still had your back towards her. She pulled down your hood then gently placed her hands on your shoulders and turned you around to face her.
Natasha let out a sharp gasp when she saw the bruised eye. She put her finger under your chin and lifted your head to get a better look
"What happened? Who did this?" she asked with a mix of anger and worry in her voice.
"It's fine mama." You said pushing her hand away. "It was just a dodgeball accident."
"Was it the same kids who have been bullying you?" Natasha asked.
You responded by nodding your head.
"Unbelievable," Natasha mumbled. "Give me their names I'm going to call the school again in the morning."
While you were giving Natasha the names of the kids. The front door opened and Natasha's girlfriend Wanda walked in. "What's going on?" She asked.
"See for yourself," Natasha said moving out of the way.
Wanda walked over to you “Oh my god… are you okay?” She asked.
You nodded your head as Wanda put her arm around you and rubbed your arm gently.
“It really was just an accident. I should have been paying more attention or something.” You said trying to downplay what happened.
"No Y/N, this isn't your fault they were purposely aiming at you," Natasha said putting a bag of something very close to your face.
You moved your head away unaware of what she was doing.
"It's just a bag of frozen peas for your eye Y/N," Natasha said
"Oh, okay." You said as Natasha gently pressed the bag onto your eye.
You didn't even notice her going into the kitchen to get them so she must have used her mom's powers to magically summon them.
"Since you're already in a bad mood, I think that it's now a good time to show you something."
"Show me what?" Natasha asked.
You put the bag of frozen peas on the unit, picked up your bag took out your most recent English test paper and handed it to your mom with the score facing down.
She looked at the paper and let out a loud sigh. "Really Y/N 12 out of 45 that's not good enough.
"Honestly I'm surprised that I even got that much right."
You looked at your mom and she looked back at you with that unamused look that she does.
"Wow, tough crowd." You mumbled.
"This is the third test in test in the past week that you have failed Y/N what am I going to do with you."
"It's not my fault that the bullying is causing me so much stress that I can't concentrate and I couldn't remember anything that I was reading." You said picking up the bag of frozen peas and holding it against your eye.
"I know honey but it's the only school that's close enough. The next public school is 2 hours away and I don't have time to drive you there and back every day." Natasha said.
"What about the private school that I work at?" Wanda chimed in. "I can ask the principal if there is a space available."
"I was thinking more of homeschooling but I guess that works too." You said removing the bag of peas away from your eye.
"Well, it better be since I'm not homeschooling you," Natasha said as she took the bag from you and walked into the kitchen.
"Don't worry Y/N there is zero tolerance for bullying so that's one less thing to worry about," Wanda told you.
"I hope so." You mumbled.
---⧗---
It took three months of waiting and suffering at the public school then a space became available for you. The school even had a policy that children of the facility got in for free but even though you weren't related to Wanda the principal made an exception just for you.
Your grades started to improve after a week of being at the new school but not as good as what everyone would have liked them to be.
You were still finding reading and spelling difficult so you were given an appointment to speak to the student support teacher and after lots of different types of tests, it suddenly became clear as to why you were struggling so much. You were diagnosed with dyslexia.
The student support teacher provided you with different types of materials to help you improve and you were given more time, a reader and a scribe during tests to give you that extra support to help you succeed.

----------
'"Why are you doing this? I'm sixteen now; I can't be stuck in my room like a prisoner all my life." You yelled to your moms.
"Hey! Don't raise your tone with me, little one." Natasha said.
"Girls, calm down, please." Wanda tried to appease the tension. "Nat, you know she's exactly like you, so don't give her any reason to scream more than necessary. And Y/n, baby girl, we already talked about this."
"But why? It's not like I can't defend myself. I didn't train with you two to just stay all my life in school." You argued.
"We don't train you to be a hero, but to protect yourself. We don't want you to be hurt." The sokovian said, and you rolled your eyes with a loud groan.
"Not this card again. It's always the same thing with you."
"Where did you get this attitude?" Nat raised her voice. It started to really become something bad.
"Nat please…"
"No, no. I'll not let her talk like that. Hear me out if we say no avengers mission for you; that means NO AVENGERS MISSION FOR YOU." You looked at her, then at Wanda, but when the witch nodded, you snapped.
You turned around and walked straight to your bedroom, slammed the door, and used your power to lock it.
In the living room, Wanda had to block the redhead to rush to your room.
"How can she be so stubborn?" The Russian asked no one.
"I think from who she got that." The Maximoff twin remarked. "But don't worry, she'll be back when she's hungry, and we will try to talk about it more carefully this time."
The redhead sighed before crashing down on the couch. "I hope you're right. I don't want her to be hurt, but it will be worse if she hates us forever." She said with a defeated expression.
"Don't worry, it's just a phase; it will pass… I think." Her wife said after sitting next to her.
"Sometime I feel like I'm not the mother she deserves." The ex-spy confessed.
"Hey, don't say that. You're exactly the mom she deserves. We couldn't be a family without you."'
Some footsteps stop in front of your cell, making you raise your head. And when you thought nothing could be worse, you totally forgot about that.
You just stared at the woman in front of you without saying anything. Thankfully or not, she didn't seem to want to be the one to engage in any conversation. The atmosphere started to be tense until you both heard new footsteps. You knew them like the back of your hand, and it was the same for the other woman.
"Hello Wanda." Natasha greeted her, earning a shocking expression from the Sokovian.
"But how?" The witch asked quietly.
"It's a long story, but we'll talk about it later. First, I need you to follow me." The Russian said. You recognized that's tone. It was the 'Russian irritated spy tone' that meant that whatever was happening, you knew that they had a lot to say.
~~~~
In the meeting room, the atmosphere was tense. Wanda was there in front of the people she could almost call family a few years ago, but now... Now, a lot of things have changed. She lost the last thing that made her smile when she lost Vision, and when she tried to find some comfort alone when everyone left her, everybody seemed to be against that.
Steve took a deep breath, earning almost the attention of everyone. But he was not the one who talked first. "So, are we just staying there and looking at each other?" Sam asked.
"We are waiting for someone." Steve announced, earning a curious look from Wanda, but the Sokovian didn't have time to ask anything before she heard footsteps entering the room. Furry came and sat in front of the witch while everyone still stood, a little unsure of how to act in front of their ex-coworker.
"I hope you didn't lose yourself coming here, Maximoff. You didn't write us any letters, so I thought that maybe you forgot about us." The one-eyed man said.
"I'm not the one who gave up on you." The now ginger woman replied.
"I like the new look, by the way." He said completly ignoring her acusation. "I don't know if any of them told you why you are here." When the woman shook her head to say no, he nodded and showed her the footage of your intrusion. "As you can see, we recently received the visit of a strange girl who said she was..." He snapped his fingers a few times, trying to find the missing word.
"She said her name was Scarlet." Natasha finished.
"That's right, thank you, Romanoff. Yes, she said her name was Scarlet, but it's not the strangest thing. Look at this." He said showing her when you used your powers to knock down the mightiest heroes. "See, I don't really believe in hazards. Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying that she had anything to do with you. At least until you prove me the opposite."
"And what am I supposed to do?" Wanda asked, even if she knew.
"I need you to investigate her mind to know what she wants. She said that she wanted to go back 'home, but I think she may hide something from us. Like, why does she fight perfectly like one of my best agents, or why does she actually have some power similar to yours?"He explained. "I'll let you two weeks to resolve this mystery." He said while he made his way out of the room.
"And why should I do this?" Wanda asked, making the man stop and look at her.
"We both know that the young Maximoff is somewhere here, and I'm sure that she didn't give up the idea to help people. Roger will show you your new room." He said, finally, before leaving for good. The silence quiclky filled the room, making the Sokovian a little nervous.
~~~~
You were lying on your bed trying to process what happened when you heard someone stop in front of the door. You didn't have time to look at them before the door opened, and they entered.
"I never thought that someone would resume Dreykov's work." They said while you sat up to look at them. "I don't know if you know me, so let me introduce myself. I'm…"
"Nick Furry. I already know you." You replied, making the man in front of you chuckle.
"And who are you? Except Scarlet Widow."
"What do you mean?"
"I led the biggest group of spies in this country; do you really think that I will content myself with a false alias?"
"You led it so well that you didn't know that some Hydra agents were in your rank." You mocked.
"Oh, a funny one, I see." He paused for a moment to analyze you. "I don't know who tried to copy Romanoff, but I need to assume that they conditioned you well." He said, making you look confused.
"What do you mean?"
"You're not here to kill her because you would already try it when you came here." He continued ignoring your interogation.
"You didn't rep-"
"Maybe they sent you to kill Wanda and take her place as one of the Avengers."
"Can you stop-"
"Except your eyes, you look like a perfect mix between them. It's really impressive. And do you know what is more impressive? You don't seem to care about being trapped here. I don't know what Barton did to your little weapon, but it sent a signal somewhere far away, almost too far to be caught." He stated.
"But you did." You finshed now totally serious.
"It's obvious that you're not from here, so what are you? A khree? A Skrull?"
"I'm a human!"
He stood up and looked around before making his way to the door. "We all have our secret Ms.Scarlet but they will never last forever." He informed you before leaving.
