Man, was I in denial that Agatha killed Sparky. I even considered that he was never real. Or, as I'd seen suggested, it was just a transformed Señor Scratchy.

But then Agatha demonstrates transmutation of that ill-fated cicada into a bird and I think the show just told us is where Sparky came from.

a few Moon Knight 1x05 thoughts

This episode was so good! Spoilers ahead.

It reminded me of WandaVision's penultimate episode in a few ways:

journeying through flashbacks

sad as fuck

Dat ending!

But how are they supposed to wrap up the story with just one more episode?!

Oh hey, confirmation that our main character is Jewish.

Wow, no wonder Marc developed DID with that load of trauma.

So there are multiple afterlives. I guess that means where you go depends on what you believe. Does that mean if you belief in a sort of heaven, but no hell, you'll go to heaven without getting judged first (which might have led you to hell)?

What's with the drawing of the one-finned fish? Was Gus just as imaginary as the phone calls Steven had with his mom? I doubt it, because then why would an alter buy a replacement fish? Hm, maybe Steven had bought Gus because the fish subconciously reminded him of his brother.

I was sure the reason that the scales kept moving was that Marc and Steven hadn't discovered Jake yet. But then the scales stopped because Marc died, WTF?! They didn't really just kill off the first alter we met, right? That would be so weird, as he too is the main character. But if they did, was Marc's DID just healed? That would be even weirder, because that would be shitty representation. Or if they did kill off Steven, but there's no miracle DID healing, maybe that's how we'll get Jake?

Maybe Steven's soul isn't really dead, since Marc's still exists. They're connected, so maybe they can't be in these 2 states at once (shush, no physics talk) and get thrown out of the afterlife back into life?
