Did I ever mention that this man loves to gamble? Also, you cannot convince me that this man isn't super expressive when he does so. Literally is the anime. Loves how batshit insane it is. Loves getting whiplash from one episode to the next. Wasn't a fan of season two, but adores season one. Bindges, and re-bindges the show at least once a month. Just loves feeling insane when he watches an anime.

Engie- One Punch Man.

Saw Genos and immediately went "I could build that." And doesn't elaborate. He's not gonna lie, he may or may not have tried to follow Saitama's training routine once, but threw up when he got to the running part. Don't get me wrong this man isn't weak or anything but I genuinely don't think anyone on this team can run besides Scout. Loves watching OPM because he loves how unbothered Saitama is and wishes he could be like that, and also wishes he could be as strong.

Loves the mix of a slice of life and melodrama. Doesn't care too much about how slow the show is. Just enjoys watching everything play out and being along for the ride. This man sobbed at the end. Couldn't believe it, well he could but he also couldn't? Even though it breaks him everytime he sees the ending, he still loves rewatching it.

Medic- Japanese Tales of The Macabre/Parasyte

HE. LOVES. JUNJI. ITO. It'd be so wrong not to think so. He has genuinely wondered about the logistics of Layers Of Terror... be afraid of this man if he gets a curious look in his eye over any episode of this anime. He likes the books more but also loves the anime. I added Parasyte too because this man is a sucker for all types of body horror and I think Parasyte should always be mentioned. Just lord help us after this man's mind starts working when watching his favorite body horror animes. You'll here a mix of screams from the poor characters and Yippees! From Medic as he watches the horror.

Scout- Death Note

I think this is everyone's starter anime, but it just happens to also be Scout's favorite. I can't tell if he'd think Light is a genius or insanely stupid. But that's not super important. Loves Ryuk! He'd want a death note just to have Ryuk hanging around the base. This man would be a menace if he had the death note honestly. He'd probably write his name down first just to label it, forgetting he'd die.

Sniper- The Disastrous Life of Saiki K

Man has never related to a fictional character so hard until now. Also wishes he could be perfectly average in the public eye and also has inhuman natural talents. It's not even funny how much I can imagine Sniper in this anime. He watched every season and loved them all (likes season one best though) and regularly rewatches the show when things get to stressful around him. It's his comfort show.

(Not that anyone asked but, I fucking love this anime, it's not even funny how much I love this anime I'm going feral.)

Can a fictional character have a kin? Well in my mind yes. Spy kins Sebastian so fucking hard. Picked up the trait of taking his gloves off like that. Definitely share the same annoyances, living with incompetent coworkers, an annoying child, a criminally insane friend or two, you know the normal stuff! Was severely disappointed by season two. Loved everything else though.

I think he likes AOT because of all the Gore, blood, and fighting. I can imagine him kicking his legs and smiling all goofy while watching this. This man bindged the entire show, no doubt. Like the other mercs were genuinely worried about him. He's a mix of devastated and happy that the show hasn't ended permanently.

Pyro- JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.

The insane person loves insane anime, who would have guessed? No, but genuinely, you'd think they'd have a short attention span, wouldn't be able to understand what's going on, and lose interest. Nope! Absolutely love this anime. Has probably rewatched it a million times already. Has made Engie watch this with him and utterly confused the poor Texan. Feverishly waiting for part nine.

I've been described as cute and a tease because I always bite my lips out of habit lol. I often have a tired/annoyed expression or a smile. I wear comfy clothes and even pj outside. I appear as cold and very sarcastic. But I can be charismatic when I want. I'm always polite unless I dislike you (you'll know it because I become passive agressive). How I act depends on how you act with me, unless I'm in a bad mood. In that case I isolate to not break hearts too much. I act flirty around my friends and is known for sometimes playing with hearts (I'm oblivious to it). I'm petty and can go very far out of spite or vengeance. I curse a lot and will call you out on your bullshit with no issue no matter who you are.

I'm moody and not a morning person AT ALL. I'm brutally honest and it affected some friendships because people sometimes won't dare to approach me. I'm also socially obvious to a lot of things. I'm very curious and have a short attention spawn.

Getting along with me is easy peasy. As long as you're not whiny or a hypocrite we will get along. Now getting to know me is....nearly impossible. No friend of mine has managed to make me spill my problems even thought they share theirs and I help them out. My trust issues and daddy issues are too important for that lol. I don't open up and bottle my feelings all the time till I shut down or explode. I isolate a lot when I have problems or I'm just thinking (I love daydreaming). I'm rebellious but also a smooth talker. My friends know I have good intentions and would never wrong an innocent person. I'm the smart but reckless friend cuz I'll always hype up bad ideas for fun. I can be a bit naive. Even thought I have morbid curiosity and shared dubious experimental ideas....morals ain't my Forte. I'm more logical than emotional. I'm ambitious and can't stand my own failure. But I'm also lazy and a procrastinator which is a terrible combo. I'm always willing to debate and learn new things because knowledge is very important to me. I'm creative and innovative, I know when to get to business. I'm very competitive and try to hide it. Yeah I have an ego, so what? if you don't have a solid argument with me, I'll destroy you.

Despite that, I joke a lot and never take anything seriously. It happens that I underestimate people (I beat them later sooo). I'm a big tease and love to rile up people and see them get angry. I subtly insult people when they piss me off or I'm in a bad mood. I'm morbidly curious.

Because of that, I get very lonely and I'm misunderstood. I don't recognize my own feelings and mask that pretty well as it fools everyone. i don't consider myself to be a good person for some reasons. I envy easily and get annoyed easily because I want to succeed above all lol. Oh and I love money.

I care by helping you out and giving you advices. If you are in the wrong I will tell you. I'm not good with emotions so don't count on me for emotional support I'll just give jokes. NAME AND THERIOTYPES

Call me Magpie for now, I’m not settled on a ‘pet name’ yet but my cat self seems to respond happily to Magpie, I think it’s due to him being a black and white cat

my kin/theriotypes are vampirekin, bat therian and cat therian! with definitely more of an emphasis on the cat atm but it’s fluid! I am looking into cat regression and bat regression specifically and get phantom limb for basically pretty much every aspect of both animal.

GENDER AND PRONOUNS

I am ‘fully male’ as far as I know and also pansexual greyaroace, but I relish the chance to get funky with it, I’ve been incorporating more bat stuff into my gender recently and I’ve been really enjoying it! just no female terms or ‘uwu soft trans boy’ stuff please, at the end of the day I may be a soft little kitty catboy but I’m still a man.

xe/bat/vamp/meow are currently the preferred pronouns, but he and they work fine as well! it’s just I hear those more in my day to day life so using my ‘weirder’ pronouns is more appreciated <3

I am in the 18-25 age range and do not regress down to any other age! although I’m not against agere I’m more interested in petre. I also swear a lot! You know what I just realized?/rh I made a “Would I date that JoJo villain” for the mains but what about ✨️Mah Bois✨️. It’s rather rude of me to forget about them, I would say.

YES. after like, ALL THE JOJO. All the main storyline. Them and maybe yasugap??? Or Dinopans?? But trurly. Them. They are the sun and moon I think from the outsider view. You know how it goes. If the grief anchors your feet. You know what to do.

I acutally shipped them before reading PHF for the aesthetics I suppose, also that fight with Illuso!!! But they weren't my otp I think. Also I quite disliked Giorno and just didn't think about him. I read PHF for Fugo and oh god. I didn't expect that chapter to be called The Soldier in Love but okay i'm reading JJBA after all. Also all througout (? Idk how to type HELP) the book. The way Fugo think about Giorno. Also I kin Fugo and I would kill for a s/o like GioGio so there is that. I just think that it's not a ship just for the fanarts and for the sweet bits, they are here but dudeee. The way they compliment each other. And I think the fandom is the opposite of jotakak fandom (in it's worse days). I just think that they compliment each other like no other jojo ship. Giorno is kinda a Kaworu to the Shinji of Fugo. It makes sense trust me. I have an OC that is a fanchild of theirs.

CANON. WHERE DO I START. So the fight with Illuso is cool and I think Fugo would admire him just bc of that. Okay so another point od canon: OURPLE HAZE FEEDBACK!!!!! I didn't expect it to be this gay. I loved when Fugo just trhought about Giorno. You know like friends admire homies. (They wouldn't call each other homie or bro but I use them just because). But oh god the last chapter. HOW IT SHOWS FUGO. AND GIORNO. IF GRIEF ANCHORS YOUR FEET. HALF A STEP. I loved it. Fandom: hmmmmmmmmm trans Giorno. This is I belive coded in canon but that's for another day. I do like how Fugio fans usually don't flatten the characters!!!!! Personally I do not like the cottagecore aspect of some fanart but that's personal (cottagecore for another post). Unpopular and personal opinion: Genderfluid Fugo. Bc i'm genderfluid. very late but Yes to the song question. one of my recently relevant songs was vienna by billy joel, which i connect a lot to kinning giorno from jjba. it’s about having these huge dreams and ambitions for yourself and holding on to them but at the same time pacing yourself and not letting by yourself think that just because you want it doesn’t mean it’ll happen. the lines “You've got your passion / You've got your pride / But don't you know / That only fools are satisfied? / Dream on / But don't imagine they'll all come true” and “Slow down, you crazy child / And take the phone off the hook / And disappear for a while / It’s alright, you can afford / To lose a day or two” are both very hard hitters but the song is just like Ough. the killing.

another song very deeply connected to kin for me is a little death by the neighbourhood. it’s like The vampirekin song for me. it’s just about sex but vampires are often linked to sex and sexuality anyway, and it’s the way it’s delivered because a lot of the song is describing a scene and if you don’t pay attention it sounds beautiful and almost hypnotic but the scene being described is pretty disgusting and unpleasant. for this one it’s definitely the lines “She sought death on a queen-sized bed / And he had said "darling, your looks can kill so now you’re dead"” and “I want you to touch me there / Make me feel like I am breathing / Feel like I am human / Again”. it’s the ‘something unholy and socially rejected and honestly a little gross veiled by this hypnotic rhythm and smooth vocal that kind of disguised what it even was in the first place’ and the ‘connection of death and love/sex and the dramatism and the disconnect from humanity’ of it all that truly does it in for me. ok I'm redoing this because my last one was all over the place and was too hard to read lmao this will be calmer.

Ocean Man, pt. 1

Fandom: JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure (JJBA)

Pairing: Jotaro Kujo x F!Reader

Summary: Jotaro, a shark mer, has been leaving you gifts at the pier for several weeks. One day, he brings a friend, as well as a gift that brings forth an unclear revelation.

A/N: I literally have no idea how to keep things short, good gravy. Expect a second part to this sometime in the future. Also title is a silly aside from my friends, who should have seen this coming and yet still lost their shit over it xD

"Oh! Hello there."

You sat impossibly still upon the edge of the pier as you were greeted by not one, but two sets of eyes peeking above the ocean waterline a good many feet away.

One of them you recognized, a beautiful blue-green that nearly matched the sea and almost always held intimidation within their depths, though you knew the owner of the stare to be much gentler than he appeared. The lovely lavender-colored gaze now catching your attention, only seconded in vibrancy by the shock of red hair slicked back from the water, was much softer in intensity, though just as curious as your friend had been months ago.

There was a long moment of just staring between the three of you, a familiar thing between you and Jotaro, the shark-based mer you had saved at the start of summer. He was always cautious to approach, at first, or at least that was what you believed. You didn't blame him; it was because of humans that he had nearly lost his dorsal fin as well as his very life, had you not found him when you did.

Your fingers grazed against the newer, sensitive scarring on the outside of your thigh, a reminder of your first harrowing encounter with the mer just three months prior.

Jotaro finally made the first move forward, a steady glide through the water, closely followed by who you assumed was another mer, possibly a friend of his.

He stopped just before the edge of the pier, barely a foot away from touching your dangling legs submerged in the water. His friend stopped just beside him, popping up out of the water more and revealing his face fully to you.

"Oh wow, you've got speckles," you murmured to yourself as you glanced over the new mer's pale features, noting the colorful trail of speckled skin along the sides of his neck.

He smiled at your words, and for a moment, you froze, bewildered.

"Can you understand what I'm saying?" you asked, surprised when you were answered with a nod.

You couldn't help but get a little excited at that, having another mer present that could understand you. Jotaro only understood base things, like yes and no, small phrases and words you had taught him while having the privilege of interacting with him. He definitely couldn't speak as you could, at least not very well, and you were lucky you had managed to understand his warbled attempt at his own name when he managed to tell you it.

To have another mer who understood your own language meant that, even if he didn't speak it, he could relay your words to Jotaro, if he felt so inclined.

You wondered, briefly, if that was why Jotaro had brought this friend with him.

"I don't know if you can speak the language, but are you able to tell me your name?"

"Nori," came his swift reply, slightly waterlogged, but otherwise as clearly spoken as could be.

Your hands came together in an excited clap, delighted and surprised all at once as you gave your own name and a more formal greeting.

A sharp tug at your ankle from beneath the water, however, had you gasping and grabbing hold of the edge of the pier not but a moment later, worried that you would fall right into the water from the motion. Your gaze shifted to Jotaro, who was glaring up at you from his mostly submerged position, all haughty and unamused.

Pouting somewhat, you gave a roll of your ankle in his firm grasp.

"Don't be like that, Jotaro," you reprimanded lightly, immediately hearing gentle clicking and other soft sounds coming from Nori as you spoke.

Just as quickly, Jotaro's stare turned away from you, his grip loosening but remaining light against you, and you had to look between the two before you realized that what you had assumed held some truth to it.

Nori was acting as a translator, of sorts, or at least understood you hadn't been pleased with the shark mer's actions and had told him as such.

What had gotten into him?

Suddenly, Nori began speaking again to Jotaro, a series of soft sounds and gentle clicks leaving the back of his throat. Jotaro turned to face the other mer, his glare still in place, though it barely held any heat to it.

"Gift," the speckled mer voiced, catching your attention, "gift, yours."

"A...gift?" you questioned curiously, not completely sure what he was trying to tell you.

The gentle clack of something hitting the pier had you once again turning to Jotaro, then looking over to your left to find a single, algae-covered oyster placed beside you. From the look of it, the oyster seemed to have already been pried open just a little, enough that you would surely be able to see the inside of it once you picked it up.

You did just that, inspecting the dark colored mollusc and finding the outside a bit slimy.

"Did you bring this for me?" you asked Jotaro gently, waiting for the translation to reach him.

He gave a low hum, one you associated as being an affirmative, followed by a single nod.

It definitely wasn't the first "gift" you had been given by the intense shark mer, now that you were thinking about it.

Decorating a small bookshelf you had bought were all sorts of beautiful whole shells and dried coral fragments in lively colors, all gifted to you by Jotaro, himself, during the course of the past several weeks.

At first, he left them on the pier for you, watching from a distance as you picked up what he left behind, almost as if he worried you would not receive the small treasures. More recently, he would tentatively come to you and place his newfound pieces beside you, of which you were always quick to smile serenely and thank him for.

You weren't sure why he had suddenly decided to give you all these things, but you adored every single treasure he brought to you.

"Open gift," came Nori's gentle prodding after a bout of silence, his eyes alight with amused wonder as the speckles along his neck and shoulders began to shift and change color, tinting his skin in a deep purple.

You barely had a moment to wonder exactly what kind of mer he was before you were being encouraged to pry the oyster apart once more.

With careful fingers, you prodded at the opening and began to lift the shell, meeting some resistance, but managing to pull the top half off with a little bit of force. Inside was the obvious flesh of the oyster, but just poking out from the back of it was a dark, shiny speck of something.

You poked at the dark bit, finding it hard and rolling slightly against yet another bit of hardness hidden within the flesh. With a bit of mashing, you were able to free the objects, surprised at what you were seeing.

A twin set of natural pearls, one a deep, vibrant blue, the other a shimmering silver, just slightly smaller than the other but no less absolutely beautiful when paired together.

For a moment, you didn't know what to say. What could you possibly say to receiving such a lovely present? Hell, your last partner hadn't even put in as much effort into gifting you things as much as Jotaro had, not that it was a necessity, of course, but being thought of every now and then would have been-

A thought struck you then, your eyes widening fractionally as you looked between Jotaro and the twin pearls within the oyster.

"Thank you," you said, words light and airy and catching just slightly at the end.

From your right, you heard Nori translate your thanks, though Jotaro had heard it enough times to understand. His gaze had softened considerably, despite the frown that marred his now visible features, and he seemed much more amiable, as if a weight had been lifted off his shoulders with your assessment of his gift.

Oh.

"Do you think she understands what you're doing, Jotaro?" Nori asked some time later, swimming beside his dear friend as the light from the setting sun faded from the depths of the deeper waters.

Jotaro chose to ignore him in favor of continuing his last bout around his territory, making sure all was as it should have been before he ventured home for the day.

"Courting a human can be tricky if said human doesn't understand what's happening," Nori continued as a warning, earning a cutting glare that he paid no mind to.

"I'm trying to help-"

"Then you could have told her," Jotaro finally spoke, his words harsh. If anything, it belied his worry over the whole matter, of which the other mer had sensed from the beginning.

"I'm still learning how to speak the language," Nori explained. "The pronunciation is a bit difficult, as you know. I did the best that I could."

Jotaro stopped suddenly, Nori swimming just slightly ahead before turning to face the usually broody shark mer. He seemed only mildly troubled, which was a far better outcome than agitated.

"Thank you," he spoke sincerely, to which Nori smiled.

"I'll continue to help in any way I can. Just say the word, and I'll be there."

Jotaro nodded at the sentiment, knowing his dear friend meant such a promise. He may not have been kin, but he was perhaps the closest thing to a brother Jotaro had experienced outside of his own sub-species, a loyal friend and ally in most any situation. He was more than thankful to have Nori on his side.

"To think, though, this whole time you were courting a human! What does your grandfather think of all this, hm?"

He also wanted to strangle him.
