Khadrisk Bladeweaver, the Furnisher

“The Furnace-Master of Kharneth's forges, Khadrisk is responsible for overseeing the foundries and forges. Under her command are the Furnace-Daemons, those Bloodletters who's talents lie more in creating weapons of war than being weapons of war. It is she and her eightfold arbiters that judge and pass, or fail, each Hellblade forged by the daemons. She is also the one who sniffs out defective Hellsmiths, ripping them from their bodies to be bound to weapons at a later date. Khadrisk is responsible for the forging of many a Daemon-Blade. Khadrisk is a Bloodthirster; she does not belong to any of the murderous Hosts and is often considered the least among equals due to her profession. However, she is just as much of a Deathbringer as any other and her intimate knowledge of weapons makes her uniquely dangerous in combat. She knows just where to strike to shatter shields, snap swords, and break hammers. Indeed, any Bloodthirster that tests their mettle against her own is likely to find themselves weaponless (and shortly after, lifeless), as their weapons were likely inspected by Khadrisk herself.”

Recently finished this 40k Imperial Guard homebrew regiment, The Makatan Dragoons, for a private client! The concept was for a lightly equipped cavalry recon unit on patrol with the mount being a giant coastal reptilian. Trying to merge existing older real world uniforms and equipment with the 40k aesthetic was an interesting challenge to tackle. I quite enjoyed painting something moodier so hopefully can do more in the near future!

The young novitiates whisper hushed prayers of admiration when they see her. But little do they know that Saint Rhinnia longs for the days when life was so simple. Prayer, her orders and her squad. That was all she needed to worry about. Now life is complicated. She has the responsibility for thousands of Sisters, all looking to her for guidance. She needs to arm them, feed them, and lead them to righteous, holy wars. But while she longs for the simple life of her youth, she is determined to lift the responsibilities put upon her by the God-Emperor. She will lead the Order of the Harmonious Heart to glory in His name.

They will Burn the heretic, Kill the mutant, and Purge the unclean, until all there is left is a pure, splendid Imperium. I had the pleasure to work on this piece as a commission for the wonderful Fralle-chan . As a long time Warhammer fan, I was quite excited to try my stained glass style in the grim dark of the 41st millennium, and I had a blast during my visit! Rhinnia is an exciting character who definitely made for a wonderful stained glass subject. I hope you like the final result.

Drawing that Titan Pony was an awful lot of fun, let me tell ya. While drawing it I had the time to watch the whole first three seasons of Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Good stuff.
