Finished another bug, accompanied by some lore this time, as a treat.

"The first to die went quickly, dissolved by the strange glowing ash spewing from the creature's back, the rest were not so lucky. I watched as their faculties eroded soon after coming into contact with the stuff, fumbling around with their guns as if they had forgotten how to operate it before being ripped asunder by the whirlpool of tongues and teeth. Those who attempted to run did so awkwardly, like the movement was somehow unfamiliar to them. The monster pursued, undeterred by gunfire, as though it knew no pain, only hunger."

Felt the itch to contribute to the Great Devourer and finally get my paint scheme down. Color shifted the classic coconut crab carapace catgutt popularized, and did up the underside to my approximation of a blue crab

Not sure if the effect evokes the crustacean vibe I wanted, but I think it turned out pretty nice either way
