This is such a good piece of literature i am all the time thinking about it. Orbulons overly dramatic apology to no one in particular, the hypocrisy of Miss Mona guzzling food and then calling wario out on eating the rest, there is so much going on here. But I also am always thinking about how he says hes having fun cause it looks like everyone else is because its so.....resonant. i am not completely on the same page with everyone but i think theyre all having a good time so i am too. i think that is why he allows himsef to go to a nightclub with his friends despite the general experience otherwise being presumably extremely grating on all 6 of his senses. Its because of the "with his friends" clause

twitch stream moments i find underrated because I've been rewatching streams lately:

them being blindfolded and flirting all cute in soda taste test stream

her being on the opposite team and constantly calling out to him and wanting his attention in all bowling streams

The way he seemed to quieten down in twitch just dance stream when c would dance almost as if he's secretly rooting for her and then singing "you are the dancing queen" when she won

her asking him a bunch of questions about the game in the Wario Ware stream just to be cute and then how they were blatantly rooting for each other when the other played against other people

When s got killed once in among us and decided to go over to his couch and log onto animal crossing, no one was sure what he was doing on the TV in his living room until c got a notification for his login on her Nintendo Switch because they always play together and she busts out laughing and tells everyone about it. Also the way he always warns people that c is the best at among us because she tricks him a lot and he sucks at lying, and then for the rest of the video it'll be him trying to pick up on her patterns so he can figure out how she acts when she's the imposter. My point is, he really cares when it comes to c to try to bust her to prove to himself and to everyone else that he knows her better than anyone

The one what're those stream when they're high giving and he smacks her in the face accidentally and then goes to rub her back to console her but immediately remembers they're on camera. Also how his voice immediately turns super soft because he thought he might've hurt her <3

When he took a raison cookie out of his pocket mid stream and she got so excited that it was raison cause she loves that flavor. And then at the end of the stream he randomly offers her his cookie outta nowhere just because he saw how excited she got earlier in the stream

Her deciding to scare him in the muffin time stream to get his energy up because he seemed quiet (because he was taking the game seriously and concentrating too hard) and the way it worked and immediately he became hyperactive again lol she knows him so well

Also Im watching the Hand to hand wombat stream and in the intro (first 20 seconds) when she extends her legs because they're all sitting on the floor and he immediately extends his legs too so their feet are close together off camera. Also in the outro (1:13:30) when shes rambling about how much she loves exploding kittens game and he watches her with such a sweet look on his face like she's the most adorable human to ever grace the earth (it's in the yt stream compilation part 40 at the very end)

Another good list! The raisin cookie and soda stream is def my top stream too.

WARIO WARE - the only good video game franchise

I'll have seen some yt comment make the same point, but they had some edgelord name, so I guess I'll have to do it again here:

I think to demonstrate my point I'll describe my experience of having to play the latest entry under non-ideal conditions: This one uses motion controls in a very extensive and involved way, so having a tv screen and space seems like a must have - but I played through the whole "story" (basically the tutorial before the fun begins) by just putting the console-screen on my lap and trying my best to balance it why having to deal witht the motion controls while sitting (even though many require full body movement) - hell the console isnt even mine so I couldnt even be flippant on how I treat it so it doesnt break. But the point is, that the game both does things to accomadate stupid people like me who try to do it that why (by basically giving unlimted continues the first time you try to beat a stage) and is so fun, charmring and creative that you put up with it - like a few bosses that seemed impossible with the way I did it and that I only beat after many attempts were piss easy when I finally got an opportunity to play it on a big screen with full movement space and all.

So yeah that sums it all up - what other game is actually this fun to play, what franchise besides it doesnt just devolve into grinding, wasting time on endless skiner boxes, what franchises has the childish yet charming humor that actually makes one laugh out without it feeling either forced or drenched in to much cynical irony?

I basicaly played all the instalments of the franchise (besides the Wii U one, but many even dont count that one, or the Gamecube one,but that is seemingly a port of the original game with some multiplayer modes added so +-) and I can say that they all have something to offer and the fact that theyre gameplay is so rare yet evergreen doesnt make it feel like some zombie franchise that should just die - from the orignal that introduced the concept, to DIY that actually made you create micro games and comics and music yourself, to the previous release "get it together" which had an gimmick that even if controversial I absolutely appreciated for actually trying to do something new and give a twist as it should - to this, which revists and expands the concept of "Smooth Moves" - a fan favorite.

So yeah, guess what I'm trying to say is that even if I kinda dislike Video Games as they are these days and how they are treated as some faux "identity", with people defending their favorite skinner boxes as if they were they're religion, I will allways apreciate this one little series, no matter how many "true gamers" that watched to many video essays cry about "We want WarioLand instead!!!!"

AHGHHH LULU YOUR GONNA MAKE ME TALK ABOUT LULU. I am gonna be honest i am not a huge fan of lulu so this might not be what you are looking for. These specific questions are hard to make flattering answers to but i will try to do her as much justice as i can

My first impression of them

So i tried to like lulu i really did. I do like her design i think her freckles and big ol eyebrows are really cute and distinctive. I think the trailer shes introduced in tries its darnedest to make us connect with her by making her participate in a montage of all the other warioware characters we already love but she just doesnt do it for me. I associate her with warioware gold which already sours me to her but I love 13-amp from the same game, i think the thing that turns me off of her is that she kind of doesnt feel like a wario character? Most ware characters have this dichotomy between a cool exterior and a less-cool personality, whether that be the most popular girl at school being a huge dweeb or a pair of macho taxi driver being huge sci-fi nerds or a bully/rap battlemaster being secretly very shy and bookish. Lulu doesn't really feel like that, she is a scrappy little girl that is really mad at wario and later is infatuated with young cricket. She has some fleeting silly moments where she gets sidetracked from her goal, but for the most part she presents herself as a scrappy little girl and that's exactly what she is. there isn't that subversive twist at her core that make the other characters so fun to me. I don't think every warioware character necessarily has to follow the same formula but I like a twist. I like a warioware twist.

Her animosity towards wario in gold is probably her peak to me because i can kinda see where they're going with her character, she's presenting herself as the Hero of her Village but is actually a little kid that is not that good at it. Except that she is good at it in the end, but I see where they were going. Unfortunately they drop that angle in get it together and focus more on her thing with cricket, which i don't really like. Had they played her up more as an ineffective self-proclaimed hero I might find her more interesting but it feels like they kinda lost focus?  Which is a shame because it woulda been fun. She even has red overalls, which is like the #1 hero's garb

21. When do you think they were at their happiest?

Latching onto young cricket (out of love) and latching onto wario (to kill him)

NOT TO MENTION (this'll sound weird but bear with me) I've got SUCH a thing for grown ass adult characters who get into fights with literal children

The patheticness of it makes me swoon ❤️

And in Wario's case in particular it's really interesting because I think we all know he could easily snap Lulu in half, but he doesn't. I have this headcanon that Wario, despite his crude nature and general meanness, does his best to not be rude or even violent with kids. Adults are free game for him to just punch someone in the face and call them a piece of shit, but he's not doing that to a child. He holds back, and then his poor social skills cause him to just not get anywhere with kids (see also his interactions with Ashley in get it together)

And i think it's so sweet how he tries to be nicer to kids in this hypothetical headcanon ❤️❤️❤️ it sort of adds to this observation i have where he's a bit nicer in the ware games than in land
