I love it when Izzy stans criticize Stede for being an annoying rich guy.    “And I wish you didn’t have me trapped in your–what did you call this? Cauldron room? Workship? Evil layer of ruined dreams?” He honestly doesn’t remember. “But we can’t all get what we want and now we’re here.” He lost the bet, Ellinon got the most interesting death threat that week which meant Wyatt was on learning to be a Witch duty. Which, when studying from a Warlock? Was surprisingly not the easiest thing in the world. He struggled quite a bit, and so did Ellinon in actually finding a way to balance his magic from Wyatt’s to make it do what it wants. Which–is actually something that has him frowning at the moment. 

   Ellinon was busy lecturing him, and Wyatt felt there was something wrong actually. Something off with whatever it was he had Wyatt doing. He was mixing things together, yes, and there was a science to that. But there was also the magical aspect he had to include. He knows Ellinon is going off of what he was taught himself, off of what he learned to do from–wherever he was taught (Wyatt thinks he was self-taught if he remembers right), but there’s just something. Ellinon is still talking about his health and working to much and not sleeping when he’s supposed to. 

   Wyatt finds his voice and for the first time since being stuck in here with him, he actually sounds unsure. “Ellinon–something doesn’t feel right. I know I’m not the best Witch but–” it’s bubbling, it rapidly changes colors, and Wyatt panics. He reaches his hands out, grabs ahold of his husband and yanks him to him as he turns his back to the cauldron. He shields him with his own body as the pot finally snaps, not quite exploding the way his last concoction had but zapping and burning up. He feels the back of his jacket catch fire, burning through the layers of it quickly and the magically fire transferring to his skin. 

   He pushes Ellinon away before he can catch fire too and rips his coat off, throwing it to the ground and grabbing whatever bottles of water they had on the table. He throws it at the fire, dumps some of it on himself and finally begins to feel the room dropping a few degrees. 

   He pants hard, gasping for breath and quickly lifting his head to look up at Ellinon. “Are you alright? Did you get hurt?” Showing care and worry for another person–it’s weird. It feels weird. But he’s already confessed far more to Ellinon than just those few things. Those bits of worry and concern for the other? They’re probably not nearly as shocking as everything else. “What are you looking at?” 

   It hadn’t even dawned on him that the lack of the jacket and the burned shirt would make it easier for Ellinon to find the seal on the back of his neck. The twisted dark remains as his time as a slave sold repeatedly when he was just a child. 

   He should probably be more surprised Ellinon hadn’t found it sooner.

Ace who lives for the thrill of it is bolstered by his criminal past and thriving in it. While Bron, struggles with his and the crime he committed.

Konguq, having the night of her life experiencing the fun and excitement of a new relationship, and Ryai dealing with the fallout of one gone wrong.

I didn't think of it at first when I doodled these up, but I am now and I kinda love it.
