It's unexpectedly cold in coastal Canada right now (it's raining and snowing very hard and fast, and before the sun set it was also very sunny) and the floors are cold, so I find myself concerned for your warmth. Are you doing alright?

Aw, that's very sweet of you to ask, I'm fine! Here in Northern Finland it's slowly getting warmer, the temperatures seem to stay at around 0°C during the day so the snow has started to melt. Then it gets a little colder at night and those wet slushy roads freeze, and when it warms up again the next day there's a layer of water on top of the melting ice and as you can imagine it gets extremely slippery. I cycle everywhere throughout the year and even with winter tires it's kind of precarious. Other than that I'm enjoying the increasing amount of natural light and the birds have started to sing again.

Another great concert although something felt a tiny bit more tense than yesterday...

I blame the venue especially with how the bus was right next to the queue so the guys might have felt that they had no privacy 😅

Lots of good band member interactions on stage tho 👀 plus - but I might be wrong here - I felt like I got even more attention from Bojan today the most obvious being when he got to give my little kris corner fist bumbs but held my hand in his and winked at me 🥹

I still havent told you a lot about Malmö so this may seems a big leap but yeah I promise I will get to it possibly after getting home to a computer and being able to type a diary for myself before making one for tumblr xD

Do you guys ever think about Bruce being afraid of Clark? And not in the sense of "Oh this man is literally invincible", no. But in the sense of "this man is comfortable enough with me to be vulnerable, to express his feelings, and what if he shouldn't?"

Bruce, who has watched time and time again, the ones he loves get hurt either because of him or as a result of being associated with him. Bruce, who has begun to close off his emotional needs more often than not in order to operate as the bat. Bruce, who is dark and gritty and so full of love but so afraid to show it.

But then there's Clark. Strong, kind, shining gold Clark. Clark, who doesn't hesitate to talk to him. Clark, who extends his hand in friendship and perhaps more, because he trusts Bruce and cares deeply for him. Clark, who's sunshine and tenderness Bruce can only dream of having.

Do you guys think that openness, that level of soft warmth, scares Bruce? That when he does take Clark's hand, he's so full of fear that it's almost euphoric when calm washes over him instantly with Clark's warm, calloused hand in his own. That Clark wraps Bruce up in his arms, and Bruce feels the safest he's ever felt in years.

I have the opposite of seasonal affective disorder whenever the sun shines for the first time in a while I feel like I've snorted a line or something. barely slept last night but the sun is shining so I'm literally fine even though a night like this in worse circumstances could render me unable to function normally for 2 or so days. not sure how this works but I'm not complaining

#sometimes im like... should i go talk to a therapist about this.... but i literally dont feel bad in winter #it's literally just that feel great in warm weather. when spring kicks in i dont need sleep anymore and life is beautiful #it wears off after a while but for those first few hot days im literally unstoppable #personal

IDK if I'm phrasing this correctly, but in my brain, Vasco is, like, the personification (caninification?) of an afternoon chilling on a back porch swing.

#ah #that's adorable #I can totally imagine him doing that #answered #anonymous #Vasco #to me he usually conjures the feeling of being warmed by sunlight #winters in northern Finland where I'm from tend to be pretty rough at least for me they are #they last about six months or so #sun starts to set earlier and earlier until it gets dark before 2 pm #in december the sun barely rises at all it's like this brief moment of twilight at noon between two 22+ hour nights #it gets harder to wake up in the morning and your energy levels plummet you go into battery saving mode #polar night messes up your brain seasonal depression gets really bad #and the cold and dark goes on and on and you feel like you'll never feel warm or happy or properly awake again #but eventually it starts to veer towards spring and on one day you notice that the sun is shining??!?!#not like bleakly and weakly but proper sunlight with warm hue and capability to actually warm the things it touches #you've forgotten what it looks like when it's truly light outside #and it's the craziest feeling to see bright natural light it blinds you and pierces right through into your very core #being kissed by the sun for the first time in months feels unreal it feels SO GOOD #I don't know it's probably not that big of a deal for people around me #but I personally react to things like changes in temperature and the amount of daylight pretty massively #I like to think that Vasco is a first ray of sunlight hitting you after you've spent what feels like an eternity in someplace cold and dark

Made a very scrappy little wind chime out of failed spindles. Some of them were too twisted to spin, some I made before I learnt how to off center the tips correctly, and some I just fucked up while making. It's not very windy today but generally it's super windy here, so I'm lookin forward to hearing them. They're very low and melodic. Also strung up some new lights, swept 8 months of winter debris off the back porch, put up a little tapestry, cleaned off the chairs and table... did another wind chime with the absurd amount of random keys we have which dont go to anything and which just make it really hard to find the right key, altho im having a hard time getting it to sound, so i might need to redo that one.

#1 most important thing in the summer to me is having a pretty back yard with lights strung up #where i can sit and smoke and spin in the evenings #dandelions are suddenly in full bloom as well. so beautiful all of a sudden #words cannot express how glad i am that its no longer winter #we didnt get spring its just summer now lol #7-8 months of winter n then 4-5 months of summer. miserable. i hate oregon with a burning passion #literally everything about it sucks so bad ❤#one day i will live somewhere warm again where it doesnt rain 200+ days of the year
