I think it would be cool if the reason that leaders cant get their lives while the former leader is still alive(i.e Sunstar + Pinestar) was because when a leader gets their 9 lives, they are not fully theres. Instead, they are the past lives of the leader before them, changed to meet the new blessings but still carrying old memories , and as such every leader is connected in an unbroken line
