Warrior Cats 2023 the movie

Even though nobody's talked about the prospect of a warrior cats movie in ages, and it probably won't happen, I wanted to write up a prediction of how I imagine a movie would play out. This is assuming that only one movie is made.

The movie would open Rusty going into the forest as usual and meeting Graypaw. Bluestar, Lionheart, and Tigerclaw show up to recruit him. (Whitestorm doesn't exist) Rusty goes to Thunderclan with them, gets into a fight with Longtail, earns his name Firepaw, and gets a crush on Sandpaw. Suddenly Redtail comes in and anounces a battle at sunningrocks, which Firepaw goes to in order to prove himself. After the battle it's revealed that Redtail died, but no one saw who killed him but Tigerclaw and Ravenpaw. Everyone goes to camp, and while Firepaw and Ravenpaw are being treated by Yellowfang (Spottedleaf does not exist) Ravenpaw confesses to what he saw. Lionheart is made deputy in Redtails place and Greypaw explains what that means. Firepaw goes to sleep with the other apprentices while Yellowfang delivers the "fire will save the clan" prophecy to Bluestar.

When the apprentices wake up Ravenpaw is gone but Tigerclaw doesn't seem to care. It's alluded to that the apprentices have been training with their mentors and after fighting off a Shadowclan attack Firepaw is made Fireheart, Greypaw is made Greystripe, and Sandpaw is made Sandstorm (Dustpelt does not exist). Lionheart was killed in the battle with Shadowclan and Bluestar names Tigerclaw the new deputy. Fireheart tries to warn Bluestar but she brushes him off, and he and Greystripe go to Riverclan to get the details on Oakhearts death with Sandstorm. They talk to Greypool about it , as Stormfur and Mistyfoot wouldn't exist.

When they get back to Thunderclan they tell Bluestar and she exiles Tigerclaw, but not before he tries to kill her in anger. Fireheart defends her and Longtail leaves too, taking the place of Darkstripe (who does not exist). Fireheart is made deputy (apprentice drama is ignored completely to save time). Bluestar is depressed about the bateyal and Fireheart takes on leader duties with the help of Sandstorm. They fall in love and officially start things. Suddenly a Shadowclan messenger request that Thunderclan come to fourtrees that night for a peaceful night of sharing news. Thunderclan goes, and it's revealed that Tigerclaw is now leader of Shadowclan with Longtail as his deputy. Bluestar is distraught and distracted as Tigerclaw threatens Riverclan, Windclan, and Tunderclan unless their leaders resign and give in to him. Tallstar and Crookedstar are threatened, but Fireheart jumps in and convinces them to fight. Tigerstar tells them that he'll give them one day to make a decision, and leaves. Longtail hangs behind, killing Bluestar, before being killed by Greystripe. Fireheart, now Firestar, sadly plans with the other leaders what to do. They decide to come to fourtrees to fight as one tomorrow.

Firestar goes home, picks Greystripe as his deputy, and mourns Bluestar. In the morning he gets some advice from Yellowfang, rallies the clan and they go to Fourtrees. The other clans are there when Shadowclan arrives. Tigerstar orders Shadowclan to attack and the battle breaks out. Tigerstar corners Sandstorm and they taunt each other while they fight before Firestar sneaks up and deals the final blow. The battle ends, and Firestar is in shock as he finds out that Ravenpaw is there and had fought for Thunderclan. Ravenpaw rejoins Thunderclan, and the clans go home in peace with Shadowclan and Tigerclaw defeated.

Some notes to clear things up:

The moonstone is not a thing in my movie prediction.

There are no nine lives in my movie prediction.

Most side plots (Brokenstar, Bluestars kits, The dogs, Cloudpaw) never happen and the characters involved don't exist to save

Someone needs to do an analysis on the way the Kung Fu Panda movies use old-fashioned vs. modern language ("Panda we meet at last"/"Hey how's it going") and old-fashioned vs. modern settings (forbidden-city-esque palaces/modern-ish Chinese restaurant) to indicate class differences in their characters, and how those class differences create underlying tensions and misunderstandings.

#This is neither a criticism nor a compliment of that artistic choice #I just think it's really interesting #Like even looking at the Five:#Tigress talks in an older style than the others because she was mainly raised at the Jade Palace #While Mantis talks like Joe-schmo off the street because he *was* a streetfighter and an ordinary guy #Shifu and even Tai Lung talk like they're from an old-fashioned novel or kung fu movie #Po talks like a modern guy you'd meet working in a twenty-first century family restaurant #Part of Tigress's initial disdain for him in the first movie is clearly because she considers him to be low-class/a commoner #(And therefore an intruder into the world of the Jade Palace and the rest of the Kung Fu masters which appears to be semi-noble).#Shen looks genuinely off-put and disgusted when he has to respond to Po's greeting with a “...hey.”#And when Po wants to appear more legitimate as a warrior he adopts a more “legendary”/old-fashioned way of speaking.#In the aesthetic language of KFP old fashioned=noble/upper class and modern=common/lower class.#This translates entirely naturally—I think especially to an American audience—but it is wild once you notice it #Because you realize: “Hang on—shouldn't *all* these characters be talking like they're living in the medieval era?”#“And what does it mean that they're not? What is the movie attempting to convey with this—probably entirely subconscious—artistic choice?”#kung fu panda
