So, Catsies, it was ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL, AMAZING AND TOTALLY MAGICAL!
First thing, non-replica AND different than Warsaw's non-replica. I like Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer as ginger girls and Coricopat and Tantomile as siamese boys. I love expanded Demeter's role - she is the first to touch Grizabella!!!! Misto! Catsies, he was... It was magical (ha ha, I know) but he didn't say a word on the scene. And all his whole woo-doo look! Ideas about Old Deut's kidnapping and appearing. Munkustrap and Macavity fighting with FUCKING SWORDS FROM FISH'S SKELETONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe that fight was a little bit stiff, but well... Fucking swords. And it was Demeter who finally defeated Macavity, after Alonzo's serious injuries and Munku's problems. Maybe I would like more to have two numbers (Peak and a pollicles AND Growltiger) but smashing them into one was interesting idea. All those so different dances!
Second. Music. Well, we know how it's going but live orchestra was amazing.
Third. Actors DID WONDERFUL JOB. Catsies, they were absolutely amazing, perfect even. Those catsy moves and dancing! Voices! Maaaybe I prefer Tugger with a bit deeper voice, but it isn't changing anything. And all those little interactions between them! Catsies, it was... I have no words. That vital part of Cats, which make that musical so amazing was... OH MY EVERLASTING CAT!!! If I get a video of that I think I could watch it over and over again and always see something new.
Fourth. Costumes. As non replica they were different but still WONDERFUL.
Fifth. Whoever you ship, your ship is there. I was afraid, sure even, everyone will get hit with "straight ray" but no. Catsies, it was almost every single one with every single one. You name your ship, you get it. Easy as that. Tugger and Alonzo especially have perfect, little, funny moment ;)
And a little bonus! Do you know who is in the picture?
Tumblr media
From left: Jennyanydot, Misto and Tugger!!!!
Especially for you @may-be2 . I wanted to write about it tomorrow, when I get a little more grip on reality and myself, because for now I'm one big "yeghsifhsbkdhdsbkshdbdkdjdbsjg<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3", but you want - you get, darling :)

A list of named swings and such
So. I know one of these already exists. BUT. I'm doing another. because i can
Old London Swings (pre-Revival, mostly late 80s and the 90s) Greycat/Hysperia/NBQ (nameless brown queen)- Greycat was sometimes known as NBQ, it depended on her costume, which ranged from grey to tan. Hysperia is a different cat who has sometimes been called NBQ by fans even though she isn't Greycat/NBQ AJ- "Almost Jemima". Female kitten Tabbygirl- more mature queen (usually covered adult roles) Patches- male kitten, often resembles Admetus Calico- male or female Caramel- male, looks very similar to Victor Victor- originated here but used in productions worldwide
Post-revival London Swings Electra (also Lightning Ellectra) George Pouncival Victor
Early Broadway Swings (80s and 90s) Spike- young male George- young male AJ- young female Greycat- female Carbucketty- male kitten, later cut when Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer became actual cats and not trash puppets Babygriz's design was also used as a swing
US Tour Swing Spike- different design. male.
China 2012 Grumbuskin Jemima Oliva Murad Quaxo Noilly Prat Latter four have since been used in other productions
Gothenburg 2006 Isis Ramses Garbo Shakespeare Tintomara Agustus Moses Savannah
Warsaw 2004 Fraszka Fantasia Sierściuch Zyleta/Kocik Le Miau Angelika Mamrotka Turbo Ptys Menello Bianco Kara Kotek
Tecklenburg 2015 Rocketta Eris Barnaby Buttons Bonzo Mab
Thunerseespiele 2017 Ishtar Luna Roxy
2009 Italian Tour Caligola Paride
Helsinki 1986 Aprilli Gilbert Lilli Marina Meijuli Grumbuskin/Rokkonen Russu Sibylla
Oslo 1985 Kvesesta Potefar Godnattakatt
The Named Swings Some of these are full ensemble characters in certain productions but when other productions cut that character or use an alternative, that name is often used for a swing. Admetus- when he's replaced by Plato, Admetus is sometimes used by a male/female swing Augustus Autumn Bill Bailey Carbucketty Electra Etcetera Exotica- first used to create a cameo for Femi Taylor (who played Tantomile in the OLC I'm pretty sure) in the 1998 film but has since been used for swings in large productions George- male kitten Jemima- female kitten Jonathan- male Murad- young male Noilly Prat- young female Olivia- young female Peter Quaxo- young male Victor- kind of an elderly male? his performer usually covers the older roles like Gus and Old Deuteronomy There's also a swing Babygriz in the current UK Tour
And now the mindfuck that is alternatives: Bill Bailey/Tumblebrutus- Bill Bailey originated in the original London production. Tumblebrutus was used instead of him on Broadway and in the 1998 film (the latter to maintain international something or other). In the 98 film it was Bill Bailey under the name Tumblebrutus. Carbucketty/Pouncival- Carbucketty originated in the original London production. As with Bill Bailey/Tumblebrutus, Pouncival was used instead of his London counterpart on Broadway and in the 1998 film. In the 98 film it was Carbucketty under the name Pouncival. Pouncival/George- the 2014 London Palladium production included a third male kitten aside from Carbucketty and Bil Bailey named Pouncival, who's design was actually much closer to the original London George character than to Carbucketty.
Quaxo/Mistoffelees- Big mindfuck! In UK-style productions, the performer is credited as Quaxo up until his song, where he is revealed to be The Magical Mr. Mistoffelees. This is usually explained as Mr. Mistoffelees being Quaxo's stage name. However, in some productions they're completely different cats, with Quaxo using a totally different design. Also, as Quaxo/Misto used to dance a tap dance duel against Jennyanydots while dressed as the lead beetle. Because of this, all pre-revival London productions attached the name Quaxo to the lead tap dancing beetle regardles of whether or not it was played by Mistoffelees. Plato/Admetus- Even bigger mindfuck! Admetus was the original double for Macavity in London and I think London-based prodctions still use Admetus. Plato is the Broadway version of the same cat. The Plato you see in the 1998 film is the Admetus design. Plato's design originally had a lot of brown and grey but since the 98 film, which used the Admetus design, you get a lot of "Admetus costume and makeup but named Plato". In productions where Plato is the Macavity double, the name Admetus is sometimes used for a swing (this is common in Australian-style productions) Admetus/George- This one is purely to do with the 98 film. Frank Thompson was credited with playing the Rumpus Cat and Admetus. Fans assumed the cat who was actually using the George design was Admetus, but it is unknown if the renaling of the George design to Admetus was intentional or not. Jemima/Sillabub- Jemima originated from the original London production but was renamed Sillabub in the US and in US-based prosuctions to avoid any negative racial connotations. Since then, the name Sillabub is used more often outside of Europe, though in productions where Sillabub is used as the principle version, the name Jemima is sometimes used for a female swing. Jemima is a named swing in the China 2012 and Shiki productions.
Other names There are two names in Old Possum's that haven't been used in any production (that I know of): James and Cat Morgan. Then there's Socrates, who is exclusive to the 2019 film.
So! That's that! Wow this got long and kinda detailed. If you've any questions/additions/whatever, send them in an ask and I'll do my best to answer.
There are many, many, more unnamed swings, but this is a compiled list of named swings.
I got the majority of my information from the wiki and also from this post by @/theimpossiblescheme.

🐱 Who's your favorite song cat and why?
🎶 Who's your favorite ensemble cat and why?
✍️ If you had total creative control over a production of Cats, what would you change and why?
🐾 How did you 'discover' Cats?
🎬 What's your favorite moment from the show? (can be from any production)
🐱 Who's your favorite song cat and why?
I'm a basic girl: It's the Rum Tum Tugger. This is pretty much wholly John Partridge's fault after I picked up a copy of the 98 DVD in college. He was just so engaging to watch.
🎶 Who's your favorite ensemble cat and why?
Electra among the girls, Bill Bailey/Tumblebrutus among the boys. Electra has a fun design that is unique among the rest, she can be either a track or a swing, and I have a lot of fun watching her. And then Bill Bailey/Tumblebrutus is just a cheeky boy doing silly things and then suddenly he's doing these athletic feats. I just think he's neat.
✍️ If you had total creative control over a production of Cats, what would you change and why?
I would put back all the sections of the ball that have been cut since its first performances (but especially the full Minuet and British Airways). Sorry dancers, I swear I would also make sure you were paid.
And the tap-off in Jennyanydots returns for sure.
🐾 How did you 'discover' Cats?
My parents took me to the show on Broadway twice: once when I was 6 or 7 and again when I was 8 or 9 and it's just always been in the back of my mind since then.
🎬 What's your favorite moment from the show? (can be from any production)
Does Princess Louise to Warsaw count? 😅 I've gone on about these two sections of the ball before and I will probably go on about them again. I just love 'em so.

Asia tour 2022: Sitzprobe snippets from the cast!
(The Sitzprobe is the first cast rehearsal with the orchestra: they're not in costume and not acting, but here for the first time everyone gets to hear each other! It's just. An absolute thrill and the moment when the show comes alive..!)
This Sitzprobe was 6 February 2022 (less than a week before the premier), and the video is a compilation of footage and audio posted by several cast members.
Conductor is probably Peter McCarthy.
1 (0:00): Overture. Filmed by Will Richardson (Tugger). Featuring the back of Emily Casey (Cassandra)'s head.
2 (0:30): Overture. Filmed by Carly Miles (Tantomile). The four cats we see in the back row, starting from the one closest to the camera, are (?Bradley Delarosbel, Admetus), Will Richardson (Tugger), Mukeni Nel (Carbuckety), and Rafe Watts (Munkustrap).
3 (0:45): Jellicle Ball, "Judders". Filmed by Will Richardson (Tugger).
4 (1:00): Jellicle Ball, "Princess Louise" to "Warsaw". Filmed by Tyler Lotzof (Victoria, from behind) and Ellie Nunan (from in front). Featuring Ellie (Jennyanydots) and Hayden Baum (Skimbleshanks), plus Xavier Pellin (Mistoffelees) joining in behind Hayden's shoulder. Anina Pletscher (Electra/swing) is at the back between Ellie and Hayden. Benjamin Mundy (Coricopat) is on Xavier's other side, in the striped shirt.
5 (2:10): Skimbleshanks. Filmed by Carly Miles (Tantomile), featuring Hayden Baum's back as he sings... well, you know. Among other actors mentioned so far, the shot ends up focussed on the right ear of Kade Hughes (Bill Bailey)!
6 (2:25): Macavity. Filmed by Carly Miles, featuring Ashlee Hammerin as Demeter. The two backs closest to the camera are Rafe Watts (Munkustrap) coming back into shot and sitting down next to... someone I don't recognise and whom I therefore assume is Maddy Ambus, the new Bombalurina?
7 (2:55): Daylight. Posted by Amy Everett (Jemima), and, given the angle when compared to the previous clip, I assume she handed her phone to Rafe Watts (Munkustrap) to get him to film this.
8 (3:30): Finale / orchestral playout. Filmed by Amy Everett. This is an orchestral reprise of 'Memory', part of the medley played while the audience is leaving their seats after the curtain call!

Cats Warsaw: Macavity Stuff
This was a pretty standard version of Macavity. The choreography was closer to the original than in most numbers, the Demeter’s choreography was less sensual. Bomba was her usual self, but I don’t think Warsaw used Demeter’s usual backstory, though she clearly has some past with Macavity. The “he’s good in bed but I hate him” element isn’t really there.
Tumblr media
Bomba and Demeter spend some time climbing a fence. Macavity took Old Deut through that fence and the other cats seem unable to get past it.
Tumblr media
It’s the girls! I’ve made progress on identifying the characters. I took several screenshots of all the girls here and there’s only one I couldn’t identify.
From left to right in the above image are Fraszka, Victoria, Bombalurina, Cassandra, Demeter, Fantasia, and Tantomile.
Tumblr media
Some more ladies join in on the steps in the back. The one furthest to the left is the one I’m not sure of. The others are Jellylorum, Jemima, Rumpleteazer, and Jennyanydots.
Jenny and Jelly usually aren’t in this number. They usually go out with the men to chase after Macavity. Warsaw excludes a few female extras but has all female leads in the number.

Plameczka Pac [Jennyanydots]
Tumblr media
In every family there is a place for a real auntie. She is a cat-aunt who can take care of younger cats, give others advice. Seemingly quiet and calm, she is endowed with a considerable temperament! It's enough that night comes, and Plameczka Pac bravely deals with mice and rats. She is a real hostess in her backyard. Maybe she is a little too fixated on Bywalec [Bustopher Jones], but which auntie doesn’t have her weaknesses? She is well liked by all her fellow tribesmen. Delicate and cheerful, when Makiawel [Macavity] appears, she can show claws. “There is a cat-aunt among us Her name is Plameczka Pac She has fur like a little tiger Loads of leopard spots on her” Sergiusz Osmański adds - “Plameczka Pac has a graphic, neon costume. These neons also had to appear on her face. Arches in sky blue, vivid amaranth; yellows - it all corresponded with the costume. In her case, I did not use black eyelashes, but iridescent lavender ones. It all gave the impression that Plameczka Pac is so like hard candy, so ready to be eaten "
Sergiusz Osmański is Cats Warsaw's make up designer. When he talks about blue and amaranth arches, he refers to her eyebrows.
In the photo, most likely Marta Smuk. I think it's her, as it's the pink version of the costume, which was her usual version. The other actress was usually in the yellow version, where the eyebrows are light blue, and the wig has shorter yellow bangs and pastel blue, green and orange curlers.

In human au Plameczka Pac [Jennyanydots] started a successful cleaning business.
She likes to clean, mostly because she just really enjoys the process, and she likes seeing the results of her work. Putting stuff away; washing dishes, floors, windows; dusting and vacuuming - it all calms her down. She is very methodical about the whole process, but she has to remind herself it doesn't have to be perfect.
She has a small team of employees working under her. While she may sometimes come off as strict and a bit of a pain in the neck, she really cares about them and is always ready to defend them from shitty clients.
In her free time, she sings, reads and sews. She also enjoys watching makeup artists and likes to try recreating the most colourful looks. Bits and pieces of her favourite ones ended up staying in her personal style.

One od my fav changes of who does what in Warsaw is giving Jemima the high note in the "jellicle songs for jellicle cats", especially comparing with the 98 movie
Idk if it was cuz Jenny's actress didn't have the range or just their creative decision
But i love how she does it and is praised by other queens around her, instead of Jenny being scoffed at by the guys
I just always thought it was mean of them

Thinking about some Bywalec [Bustopher] headcanons
I think that Bywalec actually loves to dance and always did, he's just more into ballroom dances
His favorite one is English waltz and he taught Plameczka Pac [Jennyanydots] early in their relationship. He still sweeps her of her feet in waltz
He is ready to teach any dance he knows to anyone who wants to learn. He taught Gus tango
He was also his son's first dance teacher. Mefistofeliks quickly moved to ballet, but the very first dance he learned was waltz from his father

Ewa Lachowicz as Demeter and Patrycja Wódz as Bombalurina during rehearsal for "Macavity"
It's clear it's the rehearsal, not a performance because:
Demeter's wig is unfinished
Bombalurina's costume is unfinished, the obvious right sleeve is later covered by a black opera glove
Both of their make ups are unfinished (lack of lipstick, nose and cheeks stripes)
The woman not in costume behind Demeter and Bomba is either the assistant choreographer, Dorota Krupska-Narloch or Cassandra's actress Katarzyna Gaweł-Stańkowska
Besides Bombalurina (left) and Demeter (right) in front, photo includes: Fraszka on far left, behind her Electra, left to Bombalurina is Victoria, behind her in the back Jellylorum, on the right on the steps Rumpleteazer and Jennyanydots above her, and Fantazja on the far right

Warsaw Jenny headcanons!!! I love my gal Plameczka so yeah
She is with Bywalec [Bustopher] and they've been going strong for years now. Their only bio kid is Mefistofeliks [Mistoffelees] and as he got older, Plameczka became more and more involved with helping rise other's kittens
When Demeter first joined the tribe, Plameczka immediately took her under her wing; she did the same with Bombalurina after Demeter brought her in the next time. She is really close with them and thinks of them as her daughters.
She is very protective of her only granddaughter, Wiktoria [Victoria] and loves spending time with her.
Plameczka is a little bit of a magical cat herself. Her father was the last wizard cat in the clan, now it's her son, and some day her granddaughter may take the mantle. While Plameczka's power isn't as great as theirs are, she can still put it to good use if she wants or needs too.
She taught Feliks some of the magic tricks she knows and taught him how to control his powers when he was little. Now she teaches Wiktoria the same.

Screenshot of Cats Warsaw cast list for 30.11.-03.12. 2006 from the old Roma Theatre website
Characters on the list are: Grizabella, Old Deuteronomy, Munkustrap, Rum Tum Tugger, Bustopher Jones/Gus, Jellylorum, Jennyanydots, Griddlebone, Demeter, Bombalurina, Jemima, Rumpleteazer, Mungojerrie, Skimbleshanks, Mistoffelees, Macavity, Victoria, Victor, Coricopat, Cassandra
The annotation under the table says "Two little kittens, winners of a casting organized by Maxwell House, will take part in the performance on December 3 at 5 p.m. These will be Dominika Guzek and Kamila Romejko."
Few notable things about this cast list: - This is the only thing, besides an extra programme insert and general online cast list, that confirms that Jakub Jóźwiak was in fact in Cats - Coricopat is played by an actress who would later play Tantomile in the 2007 run - the existence of an apparent Jennyanydots/Jellylorum split track
