SO. when oscar was reading the book entry on what he thought mr. scratch was, he said to arthur how the creature was a fracture of a god. and that it got fractured from a failed ritual to bring the god into our world.

guys. that’s exactly what happened to john. that’s how john got separated from the king, he was just bound to a book, and then to arthur.

i’m assuming scratch was never bound to anything in a similar way? though i might have to relisten to the earlier s4 episodes cause i don’t fully remember. but. scratch cannot properly tell how much time has passed. i’m assuming as well he has deteriorated from when he originally came through.

MY POINT. is this what could’ve / could still happen to john. if he was never bound to the book in the first place, is this what would’ve happened to him. and is the recent memory lapses at all related to this. because the more i think about it the more worried i get

i know they probably won’t discuss this next episode cause of. well. oscar’s arm situation seems a more pressing matter.

Jack teaching Mac to swim.

Maybe Mac didn’t grow up close to a body of water. Harry wouldn’t have paid for a local pool pass and would never have taken him to the beach. James wouldn’t have either. The Bozer’s didn’t like swimming so they never went.

Maybe Jack finds out while they’re together in the desert. Maybe on their next leave or day(s) off Jack finds a local pool or swimming hole and teaches Mac. Or maybe he can’t teach Mac until they are discharged but it’s always in the back of his mind. Maybe he quick to offer on a day when they don’t know what to do with themselves as civilians. Maybe Mac asks because it’s in the form he has to sign for the DSX and he really wants to this job so he can stay with Jack.

Okay, I’m back with more thoughts on season 15. This episode has some of my all time favorites, namely The Poor Kid (ep. 14). I also like Crack Baby Athletic Association (ep. 5) and Bass to Mouth (ep. 10) a little more than I should. But it also has the worst start of any season ever, with four absolute flop episodes in a row. There’s also City Sushi (ep. 6) which is really bad. And also You’re Getting Old and Assburgers (Eps. 7 and 8). Which I don’t actually care for, because I think that it does Kyle dirty and isn’t good at what it’s trying to be. It’s not the worst, but it’s just not my favorite of the more emotional episodes. So Season 15 is really hard to judge because there’s so much that I like, and so so so much that I don’t.
