Lull him to sleep!
Yes, I know he can easily fall asleep on his own already, but if you were there with him, he would sleep 10x better! Do anything to relax him. Let him rest his head on your lap, run your fingers through his smooth mane, or maybe even hum a soft tune and he will be at peace.
The first time you have him lay his head on your lap, he'll feel a bit tense. Sure, he's used to others doing things for him, but he's not used to being given such intimate affection. Assure him that it's okay to be this vulnerable. Though, you needn't say anything at all. Tell him by gently rubbing his temples, enveloping him with the warmth of your hands, and feel as he allows himself to let go as the weight of his head falls deeper into your lap. If he wakes up and sees you smiling tenderly down at him, he might immediately pop up off your lap. He'd do this, not because you startled him, but because his heart can't handle such a beautiful sight and he'd need to hide the faint blush on his cheeks.
Shower him with compliments!
This guy has a lot of pride and an ego that needs to frequently be fed. Just do it, will ya? Treat him like the king he is because at home, they simply don't treat him right. But no flattering him! He'll get irritated by your insincerity (and he'll probably call you a bootlicker lol 💀) if you do.
Don't allow him to tell you "never mind" or "it doesn't matter" when it comes to talking about his feelings or his opinions!
Even if he says "it's a pain" to try to explain it and will stubbornly attempt to keep his mouth shut, be persistent in wanting to hear what he has to say! If you're far more stubborn than he is, he'll eventually let up. Again, back home, he has often been treated with disregard for being the second son, so do the opposite and go all out with it! Make him feel heard and his appreciation for you will skyrocket. The foreign feeling of opening up to someone may be weird to him, but if that someone is you, then it's a feeling he'd be willing to get used to.
Be appreciative and acknowledge his efforts!
He’ll probably shrug you off, saying that he only did it for his own selfish reasons and whatnot, but stand your ground! Deep down, it warms his heart that you see him, and that his accomplishments and efforts aren't going unnoticed. He might say that he doesn’t need your thanks. Even so, a little appreciation can’t hurt from time to time, can it? And it'll go a long way too. You’ll notice that he’ll be doing those things you've thanked him for more frequently. (He'll act kind enough when he's around you that Ruggie would be like, "Hey, y/n...what the heck have you done to Leona?!" 😨 lol)
Simply play chess with him!
It doesn't matter if you're good or bad at it, play his favorite game with him and he'll enjoy it either way. If you're skillful, his competitive spirit will come out and he'll be having a fun time going against you! No worries if you're bad at it, he's willing to teach you even though he'd be like 🙄 for most of the time. But as you eagerly listen and try to grasp the tactics he teaches you, he'll subtly smile to himself. He's secretly happy you're trying to spend time with him doing what he enjoys.
Also, attempt to make it a routine with him. In his mundane life of attending classes, give him something to look forward to, (which would be getting to play chess with you)
For most of his life, Leona has been overshadowed by his brother and has lost much motivation because of it. So let him know that you see him, that you hear him, that you appreciate him, and maybe he'll come to find one of those rare motivations. That, being you 😘
Tumblr media
a/n: now that my posts are finally showing up in the tags, I'll continue this series on this blog instead of @ne-nene-ne ! That'll include any of my other writing as well!
I realize that I might honestly be more biased towards Leona because this one was longer than Malleus' 💀 (I love both boys tho, I swear)
As for the next victim, I'm thinking of doing Azul next! then maybe Idia too 🤔

Can we have some NANAMIN~~ hehehe
Nanami Kento, Jealousy, “Isn’t your boyfriend in the other room?”
Ya'll can ALWAYS have some Nanami, he is ALWAYS on the menu 💛💛💛
Now Presenting...
Tumblr media
Starring: A very jealous Nanami Kento
Tumblr media
This party fucking sucked. The house smelled like litter box, the vibe was disgusting, and the drinks were as weak as the music choice. Though, all of those reasons kinda paled in comparison to the real reason this party sucked for Nanami: You had brought your new boyfriend here. Not that he cared. It was fine. He was in your bed less than a week ago, probably while you were still talking to the walking asshole guy you were with now, so this guy really can’t be that important, but whatever. It didn’t matter to him, because it clearly didn’t matter to you. He got another drink, this time mixing his own in order to insure that his vodka redbull was actually a vodka redbull, and not just a redbull that thought really really hard about a vodka shot.
“Hey man, did you see that guy that Y/n showed up with?!” Gojo asked as he walked into the kitchen, “Dude, shes fucking cheating!”
“Satoru!” Geto snapped, punching his shoulder to remind him that hey, maybe this situation required a bit more tact. Kento quickly poured a shot of tequila and threw it back, much to the horror of Suguru and the awe of Gojo.
“Not cheating, we weren’t official.” Nanami gasped, focusing on the burn in his throat to ignore the tightness in his chest.
“Kento, do you want to go?” Suguru asked, pointing a thumb to the door, “We can just drink at home, play some Tekken. Honestly it sounds more fun than this.” He offered, trying to give Nanami an out from the awkward situation.
“Yea!” Gojo agreed, “This party sucks anyway, its full of frat boys.” Kento chuckled and took a drink from his vodka with a splash of redbull. He really did appreciate his roommates, and how they always had his back, even in small ways. But he wasn’t going to leave this party immediately after you showed up with some bastard. Because that would mean admitting defeat, and Nanami would never admit defeat.
“Nah, I think I’m going to socialize actually,” Kento said with a shrug. Suguru and Satoru shared a worried look, but didn’t push the issue further as Nanami left the kitchen. He went to the livingroom. He saw you sitting on the couch next to the wannabe tech bro you brought, laughing with your whole body at some joke he said. He bet it wasn’t even funny. Probably some cheesy pun he stole off of twitter. That dick probably had an NFT profile pic and actually started calling it X the moment daddy musk told him too. Fucking bootlicker. What the hell did he have that Nanami didn’t? He didn’t fucking deserve you. So why the fuck did you choose him?
He snapped out of his definitely not jealousy fueled spiral long enough to realize that he was not only staring, but he felt his eyes prickle with tears. Oh no, no no no fuck no! He quickly wiped away the drop that fell before rushing to the bathroom. He would be damned before he was caught crying at a fucking house party. Especially over a woman he never really had to begin with. Someone who never really took whatever it was they had as seriously as he did.
He was thankful to find the downstairs bathroom empty, slipping in and all but throwing his back against the door. This fucking sucked. This really fucking sucked. Suguru had warned him once he started catching feelings, that he either had to say something or stop answering your calls, stop calling you. That to do anything else was just setting himself up for hurt if you didn’t feel the same way. He didn’t take him very seriously at the time. Kento made a mental note to pay for at least one of his drinks as an apology next time the group went bar hopping.
He took a deep, jagged breath, trying to ground himself. Okay. Okay. He probably wasn’t going to cry anymore. He pushed himself off of the bathroom door, going to the sink to splash his face. He threw cold water on his face, and was in the middle of crying it off when the door opened.
“Hey! It’s called knocking!” He snapped at the intruder.
“I’m sorry, I did!” You yelped, “You didn’t answer!”
“Y/n?” Nanami asked, filling himself deflate at your smile. You finished walking in, closing the door behind you.
“Oh, hey Kento! I didn’t know you were here. You look good” You winked. He repressed the urge to roll his eyes.
“Gee, thanks. That means so much.” He words were soaked in sarcasm, voice laced with contempt.
“Whoa, who pissed in your cheerios this morning?’ You asked, very much feeling the hostile vibe he was putting out, “Are you ok?”
“Yea, I’m fine.” Nanami shook his head, “Just…rough day, I guess.” He grumbled, not really in the mood for confrontation at that moment. You gave him a sly grin, slipping to close the space between the two of you. Your hand landed on his chest, and you looked at him through long eyelashes.
“Hey, I have an idea of what could make you feel better,” You purred, your hands falling to his belt buckle. Much to your surprise, but honestly more so his, He was quick to grab your wrist and stop you.
“Oh come on Y/n,” He scoffed, “Really? Isn’t your boyfriend in the other room?” He accused, venom dripping from his very soul. “I thought you were better than that.” You just looked at him confused, trying to think about what the hell he was talking about.
“Um, what?” You asked, only adding fuel to his rage.
“Oh come on Y/n, don’t play dumb! I saw that guy you came in with. Were you ever planning on telling me?” He snapped. Slowly, the confusion left your face, only to be replaced with amusement. You started laughing. You started laughing. Nanami shook his head, a tic quickly forming in his jaw.
“You’re really laughing right now? Thats so low Y/n, I can’t believe-”
“My cousin.” You said, stopping Kento in his tracks.
“What?”
“My cousin! That guy I showed up with? Yea, that’s my cousin Nanami!” You laughed, thoroughly entertained by the whole situation. You could see the math flashing before Nanami's eyes as he took in what you were saying. Now that he was thinking about it, nothing you did was particularly romantic, you just kinda…existed around him.
Oh my god.
Nanami started laughing too, unable to believe how worked up he got over literally nothing. He felt so utterly ridiculous, and honestly he kinda deserved that feeling.
“Oh my god it’s your cousin,” He said as chuckles started coming out, “I was really going to fight your cousin.”
“You were gonna fight him?!” You howled with laughter, having to brace yourself against the door.
“Yea! I was!” Nanami confirmed with a laugh, unable to believe he got so worked up over nothing, “Oh man, that would have been so bad.”
“And what did we learn?” You teased.
“That I need to be more forgiving of characters that fall into the miscommunication trope.”
“No, you numpty!” You playfully groaned, lightly pushing him, “It’s not a miscommunication if you never communicated in the first place!”
“Oh, yeah that too.” He joked with a grin. They two of you stayed giggling like that for a few more moments before he pulled you into a hug, just relieved that it was all a misunderstanding. The two of you left the bathroom hand in hand, no doubt turning a few heads, but who really cared. He didn’t at least.
“You know, as weird as this is to say, it was kinda hot seeing you jealous,” You teased, “You don’t get that way often.” He simply shrugged.
“Yea well, I think anyone would get jealous if they saw their girlfriend show up to a party with a random guy.”
“Oh, so I’m your girlfriend now?” You asked, a smile pulling at your lips. He could feel the blush dusting his cheeks.
“I mean, yea. If you want to be..” He offered. You grinned and jumped into his arms, kissing his cheek. He held you close and smiled.
“I thought you’d never ask.”

Hi… what do you think about people hating on naruto and saying that sasuke deserves better than naruto and that he doesn't love sasuke as deeply as sasuke does. And the way he talks in ch 698 like he doesn't want to come out. And he marries the first girl who chases after him to hide his sexuality like a closet gay behavior and live up to society's expectations (following according to his mother's word). Sasuke looked soo sad in Gaiden because Naruto had rejected his love for him. Some SNS shippers say that's why they hate Naruto.
I highly doubt you’re talking about SNS shippers/fans though. I have a feeling I know exactly what kind of stans these are because they’ll take every opportunity to hate on Naruto (and other characters as well). And if such people do claim they are then I’m pretty sure that the ‘🍥’ joining the ‘🍅’ is just in the bio for show. As if to say, ‘I ship SNS, therefore my unsolicited and biased criticism against Naruto is extra valid :)’ when it’s really not, (and vice versa) but I‘ll spare you the rant.
Using secondary source material (anything ’Boruto’) in order to invalidate main source material (’Naruto’ Manga) to then try and rationalize secondary source material-outcomes (the sequel) with assumptions to fill the gap in between these two (blank period) when it’s completely void of all previous logic in the first place, makes a well grounded argument in what way exactly?
In other words; why the hell would you look at the sequel and willing let that change your perspective as if it holds any merit to what we’ve already come to learn?
There is nothing wrong with a good hypothesizing session. I know from experience it can be somewhat soothing to rationalize a way towards something unwanted. In this case, it’s the sequel. ‘Gaiden’ is interesting for its own reasons. It’s sort of like, trying to come up with an explanation that makes an outcome seem a little less… bad. Which becomes easier because Naruto and Sasuke’s misery is fully on display. In the case of these haters though, they make it worse and just blame a character for a company’s money-grabbing decision. To let that be the deciding factor for them that fuels these unhinged claims about him being a bootlicker that acts through hatred or whatever strange mumbo-jumbo they also come up with. But anytime someone tries to make an argument about ‘Naruto’ and uses “because in ‘Boruto’…” you can already cast it aside as invalid.
Connecting two unrelated idea’s doesn’t say nor prove anything. You can’t even disprove it either because the argument doesn’t make any sense.
So it’s also ironic to hate on Naruto using Ch. 698 as an excuse to say he ‘doesn’t love Sasuke as deeply as Sasuke does’, when it’s primarily Naruto trying to explain how deeply he loves Sasuke as best as he can lol. I’m not sure if I’m impressed by the creativity or just dumbfounded that someone can read Ch. 698 and then come to such an irrelevant conclusion as if it has anything to do with ‘coming out’. It’s like having a conversation with someone about a very specific type of bird when another person barges in to ask why they’re discussing how to create your own carrousel. And besides, Naruto may exaggerate his denial profusely when someone brings it up (which is by itself very telling), but he never was good at hiding how he felt about Sasuke or how far he’d go (literally the entire story), even threatening war on behalf of Sasuke, dragging Konoha in it, indicating revenge for Sasuke if he’s harmed when really it was just a matter of his own personal feelings. As… obviously Konoha couldn’t care less and in fact would most likely side against Naruto anyway. He’s already boldly shared his intimate thoughts with the entire world during the war though, didn’t he. He literally connected his Chakra with everyone and spilled his brainrot about him freely.
You can create your very own narrative towards the outcome that is ‘Boruto’ and make it as crazy as you want, but it will still be based on assumptions. In fact, go ahead and write that story if you must, they tried and failed with Hinata’s movie for a reason. I'm sure an SNS-fan can do a better job, in fact, they have.
The idea that Naruto would probably struggle to accept how he feels and what it means, could very well be true. It would definitely be conflicting with the role he is expected to play as Hokage and it’s also something I’m exploring in the story I’m writing. But, so would it be possible that Sasuke will struggle, because we haven’t forgotten that love caused him to experience the most horrible pain through betrayal, yes? Naruto does care about how he’s perceived and he is a people-pleaser that was on a journey to realize that there is a difference between the conditions he must meet in order to soothe his sense of feeling unworthy of love and the unconditional love Sasuke proved to hold for him, regardless of anything else. “Because I feel relieved just looking at you as it reminds me of the love I’ve lost”.
Acknowledging is one thing, accepting is a whole other and then taking the action-steps to pursue it freely would imo require another story which would’ve been a fitting follow-up after Ch. 699 if that was even possible in the first place for Kishimoto to do. But it’s not.
Stop for one second and think about the amount of value you put onto the money-grabbing shit-stain on the franchise that is ‘Boruto’ and whether you want that bullshit, no matter the label, to invalidate everything you’ve loved about it in the first place. Rationalizing something when the bridge toward it is missing completely and where the outcome isn’t followed by logic is just people inventing an explanation to justify their own unhappiness with something. Aka; their hatred for Naruto.

Naruto never doing anything to change the shinobi system is so ooc and one of the worst things to come from the ending of the series.
You can argue that Naruto is ignorant, selfish or whatever the hell you want but its ridiculous to say that its in character for him to not change shit when it was literally established in the first arc that he couldn't bear how cruel it is for shinobis to be treated as nothing but emotionless weapons/tools.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Naruto just saw Haku die right before his eyes to protect zabuzu, hes screaming out questioning why zabuzu is not doing anything and he answers saying shinobis are either users, tools or both. Naruto is a literal child and he understands how cruel that is and he won't stand for it. That's why later, at the end of the arc he says hes going to create his own ninja path.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
His character is set on the notion of rejecting how the system operates and wanting to create an alternative where shinobis are valued and treated as people.
His ninja path is being a shinobi which is not an emotionless weapon for the state to use. That's why a big part of his character is evoking emotions from others, especially his enemies who have been deeply wronged by the system.
Naruto himself is a victim. The “dark naruto” scene shows us basically what real narutos true feelings are.
Tumblr media
I’ll admit this whole scene was handled and written poorly, it didn't resolve anything and naruto still hasn't truly moved past his trauma but its enough to indicate that he has a lot of repressed anger towards Konoha and the shinobi world in general.
I’m mentioning this because through out the series we see naruto have this constant motive to bring change and peace. He is deeply impacted by the injustice others face and his own personal experiences and suffering, which kishi purposely wrote like so, are what drives him for that change.
We even have a character like Nagato, who has been severely impacted by the corrupt system, be affected by narutos words and actually have faith that he in the future can help bring the change the world needs.
Tumblr media
So if this concept of naruto acknowledging how cruel the system is and wanting for it to change is established in the first arc of the series and is then later referenced and expanded on multiple times, him even being referred to as the hope for the future. Then its very obvious his character is set to change the shinobi system (most likely alongside sasuke). Their are complications with how this narrative was written and naruto should've truly addressed his trauma caused by the village and how it affected him to progress, but I won't get into that now.
You can dislike and disagree with naruto (I dont agree with all of his ideologies) and say he was always some brainwashed bootlicker but his character has always hated how shinobis lives aren't valued and been driven to changing the system. The entire story was set up for that conclusion but of course boruto came into the picture and the ending adjusted to cater to that (their were others factors to it but that's the main reason). That's why its so extremely frustrating, ooc and honestly tragic that he never did anything in the end, especially with all the promises he made to characters like nagato, neji and sasuke.
So anyways Narutos was done dirty, his character conclusion, as well as Sasukes, was absolutely awful and ill forever be mad about it.

Some Sakura fans who cosplay as Sasuke fans love to say that Naruto is a Konoha bootlicker and act like Sakura ever had a revolutionary thoughts.
But people love to forget that Naruto is a victim of the system too. Him being rejected by the whole village for years made him think he has to prove his worth. The way he acts toward Konoha cant be just described as Konoha bootlicker when you know how they used to treat him and how it can affect his mental health. Both Sasuke and Naruto were wronged by that village, both are victims. Victims dont always act the same. Some will be angry, some will rebel, some will forgive, some will repress their emotions.
it’s not only that, people really claim things based on one panel out of an entire context that extends until the end of the manga, like when naruto says “if sasuke attacks konoha they will have to fight”, naruto just don’t want people that have nothing to do with it to die, sasuke at that time really wanted to kill everybody, and i don’t even think that’s absurd or unreasonable considering everything sasuke’s been through, later of course sasuke reflects on what he wants and decides to find answers on his own and that’s admirable of him, but there was a moment he expressed that desire to destroy konoha and naruto- just didn’t want that to happen (considering what you also said about how he deals with trauma). but people really claim that naruto chose sasuke over konoha there… as if that panel isn’t also part of a much bigger conversation in which naruto says he refuses to be the hero that kills sasuke or to watch sasuke destroy everything, and his resolution is “i’ll bear the burden of your hatred and we’ll die together” because he can’t live in a world without sasuke either, mind you, everybody in the series wanted to kill sasuke in that moment, and naruto, who is 16, must to come up with every solution on his own, because, like shikamaru and sai said, “they all rely on naruto too much”. and i still didn’t mention anything about the bigger picture in this, because people swear that “naruto knows about the uchiha massacre and still wants sasuke to go back to konoha” and honestly WHERE? where is that stated or portrayed? because when naruto drops the “i’ll bear the burden of your hatred line” he is waiting for sasuke to meet him in the middle, he is not going after sasuke anymore he even says “i’m ready when you are, sasuke” after that. vote2 is literally them meeting in the middle, by sasuke’s initiative and as if that isn’t enough, what really happens post vote2? ah yes, sasuke leaves and naruto lets him go. the definitions of “forcing to go back to konoha” have been updated i guess. naruto cares about sasuke’s loneliness and wants sasuke to work with him. that’s it. this is the bigger picture. and i don’t even think naruto’s writing was handled perfectly and he has always taken the rightest decisions towards sasuke, but people are so stupid about it, it makes me think it’s dishonesty (and if you take what happens in boruto into consideration then it’s really dishonesty lol).
and when you take sakura’s big picture, it’s clear that kishimoto wants to show that she only cares about sasuke as long as it fulfils her delusions. she witnesses and reflects on sasuke’s actions, she is present when they discuss important things, but she never acts on it, because she doesn’t care about those important things, kishimoto doesn’t want to show that she’s neutral or ignorant, he wants to show that she chooses to be ignorant, simple as that. but people swear that she’s some poor left in the dark girl who wants what’s best for sasuke lol, that’s just not how she was written.

Glam was a Dragg-Reven shepherd on Vrykola who fled after Vilgax's invasion and eventually joined the Space Plumbers.
A happy-go-lucky, silly big teddy bear guy who loves animals, just coming in and out of the background of episodes...
unless they ever arrested Psyphon and held him at his station.
See, the thing is, Vilgax invaded Vrykola and Psyphon went turncoat and assisted him in destroying it. And proceeded to sully their reputation with further invasions on other worlds. Ergo, it is absolutely on-sight if any Vrykolan is within his vicinity and aware of his general location.
Once arrested, Psyphon himself would probably suggest that if they have any Vrykolan officers, to relocate them and not tell them why, because they can and will try to assassinate him. He's not volunteering this info out of self-preservation, because they can only try to kill him even if he's in handcuffs, but out of a general "hey, this might be a complete headache for everyone, so as a heads-up..." Gets ignored because why would anyone take his advice.
Glam would use his authority and arsenal, and put everything on the line to ensure his opportunity to take out the person who betrayed their homeworld. He wasn't pretending to be who he was up 'til now, but joining for this express purpose of being part of the forces who fight Vilgax (and consequentially Psyphon) and deciding to take this route when he finally gets the chance, having never really expected to get this close to him. Glam loves what the Plumbers have done for him, but not enough to abide by their rules when that means not getting back at Psyphon.
Psyphon would just be goading him the whole time, A) fully expecting his advice on dismissing Vrykolan Plumbers to be ignored, B) this not being the first nor the last attempt on his life, C) finding anyone defending Vrykola and its leaders' honor to be idiots, and D) knowing he can kick most anyone's ass even handcuffed. So he's not taking it very seriously. Been there, done that. He has very little respect for a fit pitched in order to bootlick an already-fallen moldy-ass oligarchy who wouldn't give a shit about Glam either, or the planet they maintained where his life was absolutely miserable until it fell apart.
a lot of "the Exequiance aren't gonna fuck you!" "do their boots taste like real leather?"
Glam: [actively shooting] my house was destroyed! Psyphon: [in handcuffs, on floor] aw, well, I wouldn't know know how that feels, I NEVER HAD ONE Ben: [literally shielding Psyphon] you are making it SO hard to defend your life
And to top it all off, while Psyphon feels that Vilgax is the one true authority that everyone should swear fealty to (and he interprets everyone fighting against that as not accepting reality), he cannot respect Glam betraying the Plumbers by trying to kill him, after all they've done for him AND Glam making a pledge to them. He's just asking for some damn consistency, and he can't find jack.
again, he's over assassination attempts and has for a while been critiquing their motives and avenues of attack. Glam's is the messiest.
and Psyphon's not saying all that cause he doesn't want to get assassinated. As an intensely loyal person himself, he finds Glam's conduct to be a very insult to the concept of loyalty itself, and an insult towards the Plumbers who did a lot for Glam (even if Psyphon doesn't actually care about AND has issues with them).
He'd call Glam a faithless worm, and say that Vrykola, the corrupted hellhole it was for him, had birthed three monsters. Himself, Ragnarok, and now Glam.
When the dust settles, after breaking a shit-ton of laws, Glam goes on the run as a renegade Plumber (still in the uniform though probably worse for wear), biding time until another chance to clash with Psyphon.
Ehh,,, that's the general story idea.
If you're wondering how he gets that helmet on, the white and black parts snap off around the root of his horns.

Autistic Toffee, thoughts?
I mean I did make this image:
Tumblr media
But yeah, he's super fucking autistic. Like me. Canonically: (warning: references to self-harm and also oversharing my weird experiences as a chronic autism-haver)
Gets social skills enough to be manipulative about it and understand what people will do, does not get them enough to not creep out people who already are looking for an excuse to dislike him.
Like every behavior the creators gave him to make him creepy and evil just read as autistic person trying to mask to me.
Cold and emotionless? Bro has a flat affect and it just clashes with the overemotional rest of the show.
Low empathy? Autistic, and he does have his own kind of empathy, he just, like a lot of autistic people, expresses it weirdly. And seriously, the idea that a) Normative, neurotypical empathy is the only sign of good moral character and b) that Toffee lacks any version of empathy in general because he doesn't seem to care when unjust rulers or bootlicking toadies get their due, is really ableist and can go die now.
Monotone voice? Flat affect, and probably over-correcting on controlling his tone of voice too. Remember he's in Socialization Mode every time we see him, or Dealing With Mewmans Mode, which is even more tense. I bet he can and will emote via voice when alone or with people he trusts. Heck, he does it in Meteora's Lesson, when he's with the other septarians.
Ulterior motives? When you're autistic, you know that everyone has ulterior motives you can't hope to understand, including other autistic people. It's fine.
I actually headcanon he's repressed a lot of his sensory issues. I have a few that are really annoying, but I don't have another option if I want to appear in polite society and have to force myself to live with them even though they make me want to vomit, so I can see him actively choosing to repress emotional reactions to things.
He gets overwhelmed more often than you'd expect. People just don't notice, because his reaction is always to freeze up and go silent – a shutdown, the "flight and/or freeze" part of the autistic experience. This is from my own personal experience: when overwhelmed I'm either yelling and angry (around people I know and trust enough to get mad at without them hurting me) or hiding and silently self-harming (around people I don't know or trust). (When I get overwhelmed in a place I feel comfortable but don't know anyone there, I tend to get weird in public looking for someone to feel less bad with. We don't talk about those times.)
I think he was close to a shutdown during Mewnipendence Day when he saw that stupid play Star put on.
Definitely doing a shutdown after he couldn't rescue Star. Probably exiting the scene as fast as possible to go pull out some scales (fun, risk-free self-harm! warning: only septarians can do this. you will bleed if you don't have a healing factor. be safe and maybe don't self--harm it's bad for you), grit his teeth, and go find a way to rescue Star. And also send an army to take over Butterfly Castle while the wand was out. Star would be alive to learn to live with not being a princess.
Doesn't *always* know what to say. Can convince people to do things easily, but has no idea how to help other people with their emotions. His autistic ass could never be a therapist.
And then there's SAMATFOE Toffee, who has some extra Problems:
Sílthéy and Toffee work together to ensure that Toffee is as immune as possible to emotional leverage. Do anything to them, especially when they're in Business Mode, and Toffee will just sigh, shake their head, and refuse to take the bait. They may have PTSD and Autism, but have you considered: they also have severe emotional repression!
However, when they do crack, it's really bad, and potentially really dangerous. They still freeze and flee, but due to... circumstances, they could be as much of a magical superweapon as the wand, but in a completely uncontrollable way. Unlike the Butterflys, they do not make a habit of flirting with destroying the world, so instead they shove down their feelings and get their ass to therapy.
And then when their therapist advocates for expressing their emotions healthily, they go get a new therapist, probably a cognitive behavioral therapist or something (I'm JOKING, CBT works for people who are not me! It's a perfectly fine method of brain-helping, it's just my default punching bag. I'm more of an Internal Family Systems guy myself).
Rasticore is a big help. He helps them express medium amounts of emotion healthily and without having a complete (magi-nuclear) meltdown. They help him with his own meltdowns, because everyone is autistic in my world except for Mina. Rasticore finds their calm grounding.

Amber Heard's bootlickers are now whining about how many YouTube videos the trial is getting.
Many people, here and on Twitter, are claiming that Johnny's team had paid off all these accounts that have existed for years, to post the footage of the trial over and over.
Now they're saying it isn't fair and this shouldn't be televised at all because everything's making Amber look bad. BUT when claims were made about the other trial, these same people were going on and on about how you can't trust hearsay and since there was no video proof of how she behaved at trial or how overly favored she was by the judge, everyone should just be on her side.
And now we have video proof of how she behaves. Johnny fought tooth and nail to get it televised so that there are official videos of her listening to her own abusive recordings where she admits to a myriad of abusive behaviors toward him. Those are now public where everyone can watch at any time. No one can claim these are falsified. No one can claim these were fake leaks spread around the internet. The are real and are there. And yes, her admitting to hitting him, following him around, throwing things at him, cursing at him, withholding his medication or trying to force him to take more medication so he can't call out her BS, DO INDEED make her look bad. Cuz they're bad.
This woman has spent years making a mockery of abuse victims. She and her fans have been nothing but terrible about this. They don't like memes and critical posts being made about Amber, but had no problem when they were made in Amber's favor for the past 5 years. It's only wrong, uncivil, and uncouth now.
Now it's suddenly, 'they were mutually abusive'. Now it's suddenly, 'he's an actor too why isn't he being blasted'. Amber Heard is supposedly an A-List Actress and she sucks at it. She's being mocked for being unable to maintain a convincing facial expression for more than a few seconds before she goes back to smirking. She's being mocked for being incapable of pulling up some tears at least to make her ugly faces more believable.
The problem here is that Johnny, in person and in all these damn recordings of him, has remained quiet and level-headed as he speaks. She is always the one raising her voice. She is always the one hurling insults. She is the one who cycles through facial expressions as she struggles to find the right one for the situation and then just gives up and goes back to either smirking or being bored. Overly emotional people reliving trauma get red in the face and nose and their eyes get puffy and red as they cry. Even if she managed to mostly hold in her body's hyperventilation, it'll still be obvious. She's not affected at all. She can't even bother to try looking affected for more than a few seconds before she's smirking again.
Dumb memes from a small percentage of the audience is definitely worth dealing with if we get to have all this proof exposed in court and caught on camera. Y'all could handle improper memes about Johnny's situation for 5 years so you can deal with this.

Grumpy Cat Attitude
Ok, I have no idea what I am writing anymore, just thankful to be writing at all. So it has been a while since I wrote Dhruya, but this story came to me, and I decided to commit it to paper. I might be a bit rusty though...
Hope you like it!
Triggers: There is one character who tries to be homophobic towards Dhruva. It’s only one explicit sentence though.
Inspired by this lovely doodle from our one and only @burningsheepcrown:
Tumblr media
///
Dhruva leaned against the porch railing, staring stonily at the ocean. He hated parties. He hated the schmoozing and the bootlicking and ass-kissing that always took place at these. He especially hated all the stuck up cops who thought too highly of themselves. He was so angry at Daya for forcing him to dress up and go to the thing.
He ground his teeth. He could blame as many others as he wanted for the situation, but at the end of the day he was most angry at himself. Why couldn’t he have just opened his mouth?
Dhruva clenched his jaw hard enough to feel the vein in his forehead throb. He dug his fingers into the wood of the railing, half convinced he would leave dents behind.
The sound of the back door sliding open made his grip tighten enough to turn his knuckles white.
"There you are Bangaram. Everyone was asking about you at the party." Daya said from behind him. His voice didn't move closer. Dhruva didn't need to turn to know he'd probably be leaning against the door, cocky as usual.
Dhruva's frown deepened as he stared even more determinedly at the ocean. The sun was almost below the horizon, and the sky was more black than colorful, except for the lights of the marina he could see distantly.
He heard Daya sigh dramatically and start to walk forward, so he braced himself, feeling as every muscle locked in. He was sure his body would punish him for this later.
Still, he couldn’t help the way his muscles loosened just a bit when Daya wrapped his arms Dhruva's arms, embracing him in a bear hug from behind.
Even if he was angry, he knew Daya was only trying his best. This was not his fault.
He was not the enemy. Dhruva just couldn’t bring himself to face him either way.
Daya ran a hand through Dhruva’s neat curls before bringing it to rest against his shoulder.
"Dhruva." Daya cooed as he kept trying to at least nuzzle into the man's neck. "Are you still mad about what happened? You're overreacting, it wasn't a big deal!"
Dhruva's anger boiled over. "Wasn't a big deal?!"
He spun around hard enough to dislodge Daya and send his stumbling back a couple steps. The man had the audacity to look amused by Dhruva's anger, as though he was witnessing a kid's tantrum.
"Daya, I just got humiliated in front of all the superior police officers in the state!"
Daya cocked an eyebrow. "Dhruva, firstly, the girl was plastered and had her sights on you from the moment we entered the party. You were perfectly polite the first three times you told her you were not interested. She should have backed off, and in fact was very sorry for how she behaved once she sobered up. Secondly, Ishaan is a worse dickhead than I ever was. He is only so high up the ranks because his dad is so close to the chief minister. Everyone knows this, so don't mind what he says, it's all bullshit anyways."
Dhruva's shoulders dropped slightly as he looked away, the anger slowly giving way to hurt. "It was humiliating."
///
Daya had been dragged away as soon as he had entered the party with Dhruva, a few of his classmates from the academy eager to talk to the newly turned around and improved man who had achieved incredible things in this last year.
Dhruva had watched him go with a smile, happy that people were starting to recognize that despite his laissez-faire attitude and abrasive personality, Daya was a good guy who had just been taught the wrong things and was now trying to correct himself. Having recently moved to Andra Pradesh from Telangana, he did not know any of the people here beyond recognizing their faces on a professional level.
Feeling some of his anxiety starting to crowd in, Dhruva walked to the bar to get a drink, swallowing half of it in one go, wincing as it burned on the way down. The alcohol must have been stronger than he thought though because the rest of the party was a bit of a blur.
He stuck close to the bar when Daya made no reappearance, drinking more than his usual. He clapped along with all the others when a few people made their speeches, and he knew he should be paying attention, but the crowds were just getting bigger, and he really wanted to be back home.
Where had Daya disappeared?
At some point, a beautiful girl came and sat next to him, looking similarly intoxicated. She had been flirting with him but he couldn't recollect what exactly had been said. He remembered trying to be polite in telling her he was already in a relationship, but she'd been persistent. He remembered a lot of people looking at him as she got more vocal about her requests for him to dance with her.
Right up until ASP Ishaan had intervened and loudly proclaimed to the girl that she should dance with him instead as he was a real man. About how Dhruva preferred to play the girl’s role in bed.
Dhruva had felt paralyzed, rooted to the ground with the weight of everyone at the party. His vision narrowed until all he could see was that smirk daring him to say something. The man even took a few steps towards him, throwing another taunt his way that was muffled by the ringing in his ear.
Except before he could actually reach Dhruva, Daya had smoothly stepped between them and insulted him. Something bad enough to have the man turn red. Ishaan had raised his fist like he was going to throw a punch, and Daya had firmly planted himself, ready for the fight. Fortunately Ishaan's friends to drag him away.
Dhruva did hear Ishaan's last words though. "Clearly Dhruva garu has become too much of a bitch to stand up for himself. If you ever get tired of him, send him this way Daya, I'm sure I can find some friends who'd love a turn with him."
Other officers had stopped Daya from lunging at the man. Dhruva himself had remained frozen till Daya's concerned gaze met his own. Dhruva had turned and fled back home.
///
Daya took a step closer, and when Dhruva didn't stop him, stepped into his personal space, half pinning him against the railing. He leaned in to nuzzle at Dhruva's cheek. It felt hot with the blush of embarrassment.
"For him. Not you. He was the one who should feel humiliated. I promise he was the one who came off as the asshole."
Dhruva placed both his hands on Daya's shoulders, trying to shove him back but Daya refused to sway an inch.
"Dhruva, look at me." Daya asked, serious for the first time since he came to the back porch.
Dhruva refused to meet his gaze. Daya placed a hand against Dhruva's jaw, rubbing his thumb against the stubble there before gently pulling his face towards him.
He sighed when he saw the tears Dhruva was hiding back. He leaned forward and kissed his eyelids, slipping one arm around his waist as Dhruva fell against him, trembling slightly. "Oh Bangaram, no one thinks less of you."
"They were all there Daya!" Dhruva bit back as he clenched at Daya's dress shirt. "Every supervisor. They all heard what he said. They all saw how I couldn't even stand up to him. How I needed you to defend me. He's not wrong!"
Daya leaned back enough to force Dhruva to meet his gaze again. "Are you ashamed of us?"
Dhruva blinked back the tears. "What?"
In a neutral tone, Daya repeated the question.
Dhruva shook his head forcefully. "Of course not."
"Are you ashamed of me?"
"Daya!"
"Are you ashamed of yourself?"
Dhruva bit his lip and looked down at Daya's chest. "I should have stood up to him. Said something."
"Bangaram, every person in that room, if they have even half a braincell knows you're the most competent police officer in the state. You're smart and focused and you always do right by the public. Ishaan? He's jealous of you, because he knows how much the superiors respect you. And because he knows no matter how much he tries or how much money he throws around, he will never earn their respect or admiration."
"But-" Dhruva tried to interrupt, only to have Daya talk over him.
"And what you didn't see because you left was Ishaan's father had also been at the party. A man who despite all the people who wanted to speak to him still found his way to me to apologize. Because he couldn't find you to do it directly to. He wasn’t the only one either. Plenty of other people, including the drunk girl told me to pass on their apologies and not to heed that guy’s words."
"He… they did?"
Daya smiled softly and bonked his forehead against Dhruva's. "You are incredible Dhruva. And I know you are more than capable of taking care of yourself, but please don't ask me to stand by as someone insults you. Just like I know you would not have had our situations been reversed."
Dhruva's eyes still showed lingering hurt, but at least the tears had dried up. Daya pressed two kisses to either corner of his eye.
"Thank you." Dhruva said.
Daya tilted his head. "For what?"
"Defending me."
Daya squeezed his hip. "That's one thing you never have to thank me for."
Dhruva narrowed his eyes at him. "But?"
Daya grinned idiotically. "The fact I bought you butterscotch ice cream on the other hand? I think I deserve to be thoroughly thanked for that. And for putting up with your Grumpy Cat attitude."
"My...what?" Dhruva asked, clearly confused.
"Grumpy Cat! The meme cat? On the internet?" Daya prompted only to still be faced with a blank look. "Ugh, you are such an old guy sometimes."
Dhruva pinched him on the side, making Daya yelp. "I'm 5 years younger than you."
"All the more tragic." Daya muttered as he retrieved his phone from his back pocket and typed something in it before shoving it in Dhruva's face. "See? Grumpy Cat!"
Dhruva snatched the phone and held it far enough away he could actually see the screen. There was a photo of a white cat with dark patches of fur staring at the camera with an undeniably grumpy expression. Daya poked at Dhruva's cheek. "See, you both have the same expression."
Dhruva shoved the phone back to Daya, remarking in a deadpan tone. "If I'm a grumpy cat, you're the energetic golden retriever who's bouncing around oblivious to the fact he's going to the vet to be neutered."
Daya laughed and pulled Dhruva closer, nuzzling at him. Dhruva refused to give in. Daya switched tactics and ran a light hand against Dhruva's side until Dhruva giggled.
"Yes! I win!" Daya said as he jumped back with both hands extended upward.
Dhruva bit his lip as he folded his arms across his chest. "Win at what? Against who?"
Daya winked at him. "Your grumpiness. Got you to smile!"
He said it so earnestly, Dhruva snorted. "Suppose you did."
"Well?" Daya asked, wriggling his eyebrows suggestively. Or that's what he thought. It just looked ridiculous.
"Well what?" Dhruva asked innocently.
Daya lowered his arms, pouting slightly. "Don't I deserve a prize? For winning?"
Dhruva dug his fingernails into his elbow to keep from giggling, managing to ask in a straight face. "What prize do you want?"
"One...no two! Two kisses!"
Dhruva's mask cracked and he giggled as he pulled his ridiculous boyfriend back into his arms, throwing them over those broad shoulders as he kissed Daya's lips. He felt Daya properly cage him in, even working a thigh between his legs.
A minute...or an hour later, the pair pulled apart, both flushed red with swollen lips and heaving chests. They didn't go too far though, resting their foreheads against each other's.
"Daya?"
"Hmm?" Daya hummed, grin going smug.
"Did you really get butterscotch ice cream?"
Daya's smile fell. "...I thought you were going to say you loved me."
"Answer my question and maybe I will." Dhruva replied cheekily.
Daya made an affronted noise and pinched him. "You!"
Dhruva looked at him mirthfully and pinched him back, the two of them devolving into a pinching game that ended with Dhruva pinning Daya against the porch door. "Now I win. Ice cream?"
"Freezer. " Daya answered grumpily.
"Thank you." Dhruva said in a sing song voice as he stepped back.
Daya opened his mouth to reply, onto to have Dhruva kiss him again. Daya was staring at him with stunned eyes when Dhruva winked at him. "I do love you so much."
Then he was gone, hips swaying as he made his way to the kitchen. Daya sagged against the door, feeling as his smile slowly grew wide enough to split his face. Hell yes! He was totally winning this Boyfriend game!
Daya whopped loudly, once, before going into to find his ice cream hoarding partner. If left to his own devices the man could swallow an entire tub by himself in the space of an hour. It was as gross as it was captivating to watch.
“Wait! Save some for me!”

“A week since your first date?” says Chantal. “One week? Are you freaking kidding me?”
“Well, I first met him at a nightclub last year, but he was pretty wasted and we didn’t swap numbers or anything,” says Anya. “He told me his name was Rob, can you believe it? I was sure I knew him from somewhere, though! Then I ran into him again at the airport when he was on his way to Al Simhara. There was a lot of chemistry, but he was with his son, and it was a bit awkward so we didn’t get each other’s numbers that time, either. Then I saw him on TV and I was just like oh my God, so that’s why I thought he looked familiar at the nightclub! And my mother nearly fainted when we Googled him and she found out he was Freddie’s agent because like I told you, she’s Freddie’s biggest fan. So then I phoned his office and gave his PA my number and told her to tell him to call me when he got back from his trip. But technically, yeah, our first date was only a week ago. And it was so amazing! We spent two whole days together. So much stuff happened, I can’t believe we crammed it all into forty-eight hours!” She stops, suddenly aware of Chantal’s amused expression and the realisation that she’s babbling. “I’m sorry,” she says, her cheeks becoming hot with embarrassment. “It’s all a bit overwhelming. I mean, I’ve been trying to keep it together tonight, but it’s a lot. And I just had a mental image of myself and…holy shit. I’m in the Prosper Room talking to Chantal Carbone, and I’m here with Roy Goddard who just won the Sports agent of the Year Award or the third year running and the most wonderful and amazing thing of all is that he told you he’s falling for me! I mean, it’s like a dream, right?”
“I pride myself on being a good judge of character, hon,” says Chantal. “You have to be in this business, because you’re constantly surrounded by fakes and yes-men and bootlickers. I’ve learnt to rely on my gut instincts about people.”
“So what’s your gut telling you about me?” says Anya.
“I’m not going to lie, but when I met you I was shocked by how young you were,” says Chantal. “But there’s also something very sweet and refreshing about you. My gut’s telling me that you and Roy might actually be good together.“
“Really?” says Anya, relief washing over her burning skin like a cool breeze. “That means the world to me. Thank you, Chantal!”
“I’m trusting you with his heart, hon,” says Chantal, her eyes narrowed and glittering behind the black spikes of her eyelashes. “Don’t make me regret it.”

"Self-inserting. They're purging their relationship demons through sasuke: all the men that rejected their sorry arses. Sasuke's got to pay for that. Sasuke was always way too good for her, anyway. Anything she does, he does it a trillion times better. He's far better looking than her, too, and has actually got a family legacy. And sakura knows all that, which is why she chases after him to validate herself socially.
He deserved so much better than to be saddled to a loser like her. Sasuke never gave a rat's arse about her romantically at every point in the manga, yet she kept sexually harassing him to get him to fuck her. She was so desperate that she chased after him when he went on his journey. Bitch was so unhinged that she couldn't leave him alone for two minutes.
That probably hits too close to home for this lot. (Lord knows how many men they groveled before and got rejected, anyway.) So they cope by writing long-winded bullshit to make themselves feel better about sakura (just like themselves) getting endlessly humiliated by a dude who's way, way, way out of her league, but she thinks she can land him. Heck, sasuke would shrug and go about his day even if she was fucking tonton. That's how little of a fuck he has to give. Her fandom's fucking delusional."
This is from a sasuke fan on reddit, this person is on every single sakura post. they keep talking about how sasuke end up with a bootlicker that sexually harassed him?!!! this is why being a sasuke/sakura fan is really exhausting in every social media. this is beyond mental illness because there's no way that someone who really read naruto can be this fucking miserable towards sakura. this is fucking evil. and you know what, they trash sasuke on the way too!! what the fuck is the naruto fandom anymore. what are your thoughts on these type of fans? :/ honestly these type of rants are evil. I hate the entire fandom at this point. I mean, I don't like the sakura fandom either but sasuke fandom is just as fucked up damn
Yeah, each fandom has their own really bad apples, which is why I always have to roll my eyes when I see one fandom acting like they're better than the other. The Naruto fandom as a whole is the worst fandom that I've ever seen, and that's all I've got to say about that.

I KNOW I gotta talk about my werewolf man still but the last post I reblogged couldn't help but re-fuel my interest for one of my JF 1997 ocs and I need to talk about him----
Rudolph Hellbells. Rudy for short. Sleazy thief that ends up getting involved in Jack Frost's life by hitchiking on the wrong vehicle while both are being actively chased by the police since one of them is wanted for armed robbery and the other for being a serial killer and potential cannibal wanted by half of the state.
Long story short these two end up working together to Try not to get caught as long as possible. Jack doesn't really need Rudy to fend for himself but he enjoys having a fuckbuddy and bootlicker that'll do what he says and could potentially be used as a human shield if they were to get shot.
On the other hand, Rudy is very much dependant on Jack during their time as wanted criminals since he feels weirdly safe by having this unhinged killer as his 'partner in crime' so to speak. He's aware Jack could easily turn on him and kill him too if he wanted, but so far he hasn't- so he just assumes that he must be doing something good for him to be kept at his side.
You might ask, what happens to Rudy after Jack's caught by sheriff Sam? Unsurprisingly, he quickly gets apprehended as well not long after, but unlike Jack who gets the death sentence- Rudy just gets to rot in jail.
He didn't like the end of his deal even if he got to keep his life, and considering that by the time this happens he has begun to develop feelings for Jack, assuming he'd soon be dead, he has nothing else left to lose really. So, he decides to take his own life in his prison cell.
But! Much like the old fart who ends up turning into a snowman- Rudy ends up returning as well, as a mischievous ghost whom possesses people and toys around with them like puppets or uses them as meatsuits to be able to have a physical form. Mostly to just eat and sleep since he's perpetually hungry and restless as a ghost.
Usually he kills the hosts he's possessing on accident either by overeating to the point where their stomachs explode or by neglecting other needs (mostly because he doesn't feel the need to go to the restroom and that usually ends up in either intestines/bladder bursting or swelling up that much and pressing on other organs it causes organ failure elsewhere)

Do you think part of the reason for Hector's treatment in NFCV was because the writers did understand Hector was a parallel to Dracula, but N!Dracula is "uwu sympathetic <3 husband ignoring my last wishes and beliefs!" so of course Hector can't have same storyline as the games?
You're giving too much credit to Warren Ellis lmao. dude wanted to name Godbrand "Mathias Cronqvist" become somehow he missed that it was Dracula's human name, and you think he understood, or even cared about, Hector's narrative significance?
I can believe that the original plan for him was to slowly become the Hector we see in CoD, in the same way Alucard was meant to be perceived as younger than his SoTN self. That makes sense, in theory. While the real Hector would never consider culling as a good compromise, N!Hector displays some morals and doubts as early as episode 2: "All I'm saying is that our goals can be met without gleefully paddling in the blood of children." You can already see the contrast between him and N!Isaac, who is 100% loyal and ready to throw hands at anyone who dares to question Dracula: "No, no, no! Dracula will decide, not you. Threaten me all you like, I will die for him, if I don't kill you first. You do not question my loyalty." So this checks.
(also this is the mother of nitpicks but i hate how N!Isaac just calls Dracula by name. It's "Lord Dracula", asshole, at least be consistent with your bootlicking.)
Carmilla's inclusion threw everything off. She turned a perfectly good story of Hector slowly coming to terms with his own humanity and choosing to flee rather than become a weapon of mad slaughter, into a shitty GoT ripoff where she basically played politics and manipulations by taking advantage of the Lord's weakness to further her own agenda. And she used Hector's doubts to turn him on her side, stripping him of his agency. And then she humiliated him because look at the stronk kween as she beats the absolute shit of this weak, helpless, defenseless man. And after that, Hector derailed too much to even approach his original storyline: Ellis was too busy jerking off to his mommy fetish to care about an actual character arc, and the Deats allowed it because uhhhhh kojima already brought the horny we're just continuing her work :V
(Dracula doesn't look good either, btw, as he simply let Carmilla go after she humiliated him in front of the court and did what she wanted out of apathy because muh depression. Same for Isaac, who understood that making Carmilla happy would not be beneficial to them but went along with it because "she will stop causing mischief". No wonder Carmilla thinks all men are idiots :V oh but Hector, the only one who actually cared about unifying the squabbling generals, is the one called "a simple creature". fuck you.)
Speaking of which, it doesn't help that, as early as S2, Hector was seen in-universe as the weak link of the court. Dracula and Isaac have zero respect for him and constantly question his intelligence, a complete 180° from canon where Hector was Dracula's special babyboy favorite and Isaac was torn between respect and resentment. My questions about what the hell is he even doing there aside, I honestly don't know what was the point of that: I can see a parallel with Lenore later on, who also seems to not be very respected by her besties despite her alleged cunning, but since I doubt Lenore was in the plans, I can only see that as Ellis deciding to weaken Hector's character for... shit and giggles?
That being said. It sure is interesting how Dracula was treated as a poor grieving husband who totally deserved his happy ending with his happy wife, Isaac was given a whole speech about How Much He Has Changed and how super cool and badass and awesome he has become, while Hector, after being literally dehumanized and raped, only "evolved" by... deciding he had to bring Dracula back. And he was stopped by the ever so wise Isaac. Oh but who gives a shit about Curse of Darkness and its lore, it's just an aggressively mid PS2 game, totally irrelevant, we can mangle it as much as we want who cares about the stupid games they're old anyway hahahahahhahahaa

I find it deeply ironic and hypocritical how so much of the fandom is pearl clutching because Aemond was “bullied” and how Lucerys deserves to die for laughing about the roast pig.  1) there is literally no evidence that that pig joke was long running.  2) that joke was actually a prank, not a long running course of bullying specifically curated by Lucerys.  3)  Aegon was the oldest and the ringleader.  And 4) Lucerys was maybe 7 in that scene?  Now I’m not going to deny that Aemond’s feelings were hurt, nor I’m not going to deny that Lucerys legitimately disfigured him in that fight when they were children and that was wrong.  Now if Lucerys had been over there making fun of Aemond’s eye I could understand the anger from Aemond and the fandom, but he wasn’t, he chuckled at an old joke he probably doesn’t even register was more than just a prank to Aemond.
Anyway, what I find super hilarious is how everyone is going “oh poor sweet Aemond, he was bullied so relentlessly!” and writing things like this:
Tumblr media
while many of the same people are Sansa stans and apologists.  Many of these same people like to brush Sansa’s bullying of Arya under the rug, either saying it never happened because of “unreliable narrators” even though an outside POV of Theon confirmed this bullying, or they say it was mutual when there is no evidence this bullying was ever reciprocated (and no Arya losing her cool while cold, dirty, grieving, hungry, stressed and tired is not bullying, nor is Arya throwing a smushed orange at Sansa when Sansa was gaslighting her bullying either).  Arya was relentlessly bullied for years by Sansa and Jeyne Poole, Sansa also didn’t care that an older boy was legitimately going to kill Arya all because he was handsome.  Arya has legitimate self-esteem issues from this bullying, so where is this sort of vigor when it comes to Arya actually being bullied in the books by her older sister?  Where are all these cries for justice?  But no, you all will just turn around and make excuses because Sansa was only a small child and naive and didn’t know better, but on the flipside you are all ready to condemn a 7-8 year old boy for playing a prank, being amused by it years later, and trying to protect his family when Aemond was saying that he was going to feed them all to Vhagar, that they will all die screaming, breaking Lucerys’ nose, bashing Jacaerys in the head with a rock and still wielding said rock.
Now I’m not saying Lucerys’ actions should be excused, and Aemond has every right not to ever forgive him for the eye, but frankly Aemond getting upset over a prank a 7 year old participated in, when his own brother was the ringleader, is frankly ridiculous.  You all like to proclaim that Arya just needs to get over her legitimate bullying and become Sansa’s bootlicker, but here you all are crying Fire, Blood, Vengeance, and Justice over Aemond a legitimate adult not being able to get over a prank.  The hypocrisy and double standards in this fandom knows no bounds.  But I suppose the fact that Aemond is a man, while Arya is a non-conforming little girl, while Sansa is a conformist tradfem who loves the status quo doesn’t make a difference in this, right?

What do u think about those that extremely venerates Sasuke but hates Naruto the character for being a Konoha bootlicker? Is Naruto really a bootlicker like Itachi or Kakashi? Why can't they learn to understand Naruto like they do with Sasuke? They can like both at the same time
hmmm i think you’re new to my blog, i’ve talked about this so much already, but it’s fair that you can’t find it that easily since the posts aren’t that specifically tagged. i don’t think those people can even understand sasuke’s character when they come with those claims, like how “sasuke would be much better without naruto” or stuff like it, and they surely can’t understand naruto either, or aren’t willing to for their own personal bias. sasuke is someone that challenges the status quo, true, but it comes to a point that those people only care about their own political projections onto his character. sure, they can talk about how much he loved his family, but they don’t get that sasuke is a character defined by love, and not only the love he feels for his family, but also for naruto, something they can’t accept, they will say that’s retconned, even though it’s obviously not, or that naruto is bad for sasuke, even though we clearly see that sasuke is happier. with naruto, is happier when he accepts naruto’s love for him. they don’t take the many facets of his character into consideration, making his character less complex than what he actually is. they think love and justice are mutually exclusive, which it’s not. they also can’t be unbiased towards naruto, but since naruto genuinely cares about sasuke in the manga, they have to twist that and claim that “naruto never cared about sasuke and only wanted to control him” or some other bullshit. and no, i don’t think naruto always understood sasuke, always got him and his reasons, but i don’t see how that’s a flaw either, it’s called character development. and, unlike those people, i also don’t feel the need to go through a checklist of whatever naruto did or didn’t do, because those don’t ruin or outshine the bigger picture that is a story about love and devotion and being there for someone and feeling pain when they are in pain, a story that, despite all its flaws, shows that naruto is the only person that sympathises with sasuke, the only one that says what he does is understandable, and clearly the only one who stood against the village to protect his precious bond and even gave up on his own dream for sasuke. nor i eat the narrative up as if it’s 100% right, or pick a side as completely right or completely wrong, since i have critical thinking and am able to understand that there’s nuance in life and that a lot of kishimoto’s ideas weren’t adequate to the magazine he worked for. but, above all, i am able to understand that both characters are happier when they are together and that they balance each other out, like yin and yang.
i myself am very critical of the naruto ending, but i can acknowledge that it’s harmful for both naruto’s and sasuke’s characters, not only one or the other. it does both dirty because it prioritised easy plot conclusions over satisfying character arcs, since the editors pushed for boruto as an easy cash grab, be it because of their behaviour or their beliefs/politics. naruto has been someone that rejected a lot of aspects of the shinobi system, he promised to change it in multiple occasions, because of multiple reasons, so why that’s not the case in boruto? because you can’t have haha ninja kids, in which the main character is the son of the village leader, if the village leader is against being a ninja, knows the problems of being a ninja kid, so everything is swept under the rug for the sake of a sequel no one asked for. the same way sasuke can’t keep his need for justice and revolution, otherwise it contradicts the idea of the sequel. but i’m thankfully aware that the naruto ending we’ve got isn’t a consequence of naruto and sasuke’s reconciliation, isn’t because sasuke accepted naruto’s love for him, isn’t because sasuke didn’t go for his own self destruction in a plan that honestly wasn’t going to work. and i’m not someone who thinks that kishimoto handled everything perfectly, but i see that a lot has to do with the narrative of the story, other than the character itself, a narrative that also forces itachi down people’s throats and, honestly, that was something that made both naruto’s and sasuke’s characters worse, as well as their views and resolutions.
i understand that people that love sasuke notice that a lot of times he gets the short end of the stick in the fandom, including the sns fandom (and especially the sasunaru one), he truly does and i hate that as well. but my response to it is fortunately not hating on naruto, because the character has nothing to do with bad fan interpretations. naruto pretty much acts the opposite of what a lot of people would like him to act actually. when they want sasuke to “redeem himself” and show that he’s worthy of naruto’s love, naruto has accepted sasuke already, he has never held anything against sasuke and never stopped believing he is a good person. when they want sasuke to act out of guilt and regret, the moment sasuke starts doubting himself at vote2, naruto tells him to “stop sulking” in his very unrefined naruto way, but sasuke likes him just like that. i would rather criticise the fandom’s attitudes and interpretations other than responding with nonsensical character hate, which i do already.
and there’s also the fact that a lot of them are homophobic and in denial. but a lot of people will only “understand” what they want to, really.
sorry if i extended myself on this one, but, like i said, i’ve talked about this so much already, and believe me, there’s much more besides this.

"There was never any support back then, when these leaks came out. There was never any support, you know, it was completely blacklisted. And there's always been, like you say, a convenient reason to disparage Assange and WikiLeaks, either because of shifting goalposts [...] about the meaning of journalism and, you know, whether or not he's publishing or a "journalist" [...] or his own political views or gossip about his personal life [...] And all of it, all of that shit, all it does is do the work of state power to de-legitimate WikiLeaks and turn Assange into a pariah, which has happened. You know, none of it has anything to do with the fact, and I keep repeating, that every single thing he has published is true! The same cannot be said about anybody at MSNBC, The New York Times, Fox News, CNN, or The Washington Post. So, apparently, there is no solidarity for political prisoners of the state.
But this is what fucking gets me! None of these cowards are going to be persecuted, none of them. All of these people that are shaking in their boots — like Chris Hayes [...] — you're fine! Who's going to persecute you, the fucking government that you parrot the lines of? The government that you continue to let have advance notice of the story that you're saying, in case there's anything they wouldn't like you to publish? The 'anonymous' intelligence sources you continue to give cover to? The bullshit partisan hackery you spit out night after night after night? What state secrets are you revealing? What actual journalistic work are you doing? This is why we call journalists scum [on TrueAnon]. Motherfucker, you are the mouthpiece of the state! The government needs you to sell their lies. You are the one who obfuscates power, you aren't expendable, you are the one who is necessary. You aren't going anywhere, you fucking tool.
And these assholes, the ones who guarantee their prime time TV slots by molding their views and their voice[s] into what the networks and their corporate overlords and the bankers and the U.S. government [...] want you to hear, these are not the people who will be persecuted. No, they get promotions. They get awards, they get celebrated, they get retweeted, and liked, and byline and byline and byline; they climb the ranks and they shape the shit that is now permanently lodged in your fucking brain that they pathetically sell to you as 'the news' and you've pathetically convinced yourself is the truth.
No, the people who get persecuted are anyone who dares question the United States war machine, who dares reveal: any of the coups, the assassinations, the inner workings of the security apparatus, the well-funded networks of fucking so-called democratic political power, the abuse that millions suffer at the hands of the U.S. military and all the paid-off NGOs, the corporations, the warlords, the cartels; the sexual abuse, the rape, the murder, the towns that we bomb to oblivion, the countries that we sell off to the highest bidder, and all the governments that we demolish. Like, what we do every day, every day, every day. Those are the people that will be persecuted.
People like Chris Hayes have fucking secured their spot. They're not going to be attacked, he is not going to be arrested. And now they sit back and fucking feign concern for Assange; "Oh, what this means, for the free press! Oh, no! What this means!"
This has nothing to do with Assange or WikiLeaks or anything WikiLeaks has revealed! This is about the media's precious industry which is dying, ironically, because of the very corporations that they continue to cover for, that are eating the news rooms alive. And you know what? The public is right to fucking despise you [journalists]. They are right to despise you for the obvious bootlicking and all your brazen career-ism, for years of covering up all the lies and all the obfuscation of how real power operates in this country; selling the wars and the PR campaigns of the State Department and running fucking interference for the bankers and all the politicians bought off by the bankers who stole all the jobs and all the homes and all the fucking futures out from under the world.
How many bloggers, who are now calling themselves aspiring journalists — or, I guess, what you'd now call "professional opinion-havers" — how many out there look up to Chris Hayes or the Chris Hayeses of the world and their career arc? How many stare longingly at the fucking New York Times op-ed page, at the shiny bylines and the prestige publishers, at the fucking social power that comes with the fawning adulation of their peers jealous of their little positions in the clout hierarchy of the media machine? How many of these content producers, editors, self-appointed political taste-makers, take-havers, tweeters — and, guess what, yes, fucking podcasters — how many of them just want these precious fucking spots? Like, what would they do? What would they do? What do you think the would do? What do you think they would sell you to get one of those spots? Do they even fucking realize when they do it?
But how many of them, now, actually look to [Julian Assange]? How many of them will even fucking publicly support the guy who is literally, currently, being tortured — who will die of starvation, or maybe madness, or maybe he'll just simply be kicked in the fucking skull in the damp basement of a supermax prison in the middle of fucking nowhere — because he dared to temporarily embarrass our highest-ranking officials and mildly inconvenience the functionaries of the American empire's unstoppable machine?
Who are you gonna fucking look to?"
