a dænce of roëmænce
depictions of the ace experience never seem to include the nightmare-borne skeleton creature from hell so kudos to the dimension 20 team for their commitment to accurate rep

The subject of Saltburn appeared in my P*treon chat, and many of the eyebrow-raising scenes in the movie felt veeeeery Astarion-coded to me. Including that very…uh…messy one midway through 🫣

i got an ao3 comment a while ago saying how it was "uncomfortable" and "out of character" for bruce to use terms of endearment and nicknames towards his kids in fics. which proves to me that some people have truly rotted minds, but also that you've never picked up a batman comic. so, here are some nice panels that show it is very much in character.

re-read the 200s and I love their awkward phase in-between animosity and rekindled friendship :) bakugo has an awkward way of expressing his interest and worries regarding deku’s quirk and deku in general it’s so funny to follow

Danny wakes up, strapped into a rollercoaster train car with a bunch of other civilians, in a dilapidated amusement park, with an insane clown laughing through the speakers.
He can see that the track is entirely broken, and that it will send them straight to the ground.
Danny knows he won't die.
Danny knows the civilians in the train car with him will.
So he slowly freezes the wheels until the car stops, a mere four feet from the edge, allowing the icy tendrils to snake down the support struts and reinforce them. His eyes are letting out a faint blue glow, his hands frosted over, and he isn't so much focusing on keeping the ice stable as he is focusing on getting it into the gears and ensuring that the train car can't be knocked off the track.
Now the civilians are feverishly whispering words of encouragement to him, to keep it up, while the local vigilante family fights the Joker.
Why, oh why, did he think that going on vacation in Gotham was a good idea?

The maths fandom is wild. “Real” and “imaginary” numbers? I think you mean canon and non-canon. You guys seriously go “this is my number oc his name is i and he is the square root of -1” when in numbers canon lore it’s actually impossible to square root a negative but sure whatever. “Complex numbers”? I think you mean a character x oc ship. “f(x) = 3x - 5”? That is self-insert fanfiction.

Some knitting affirmations:
I know how to count
I know how to read
whatever I am making will be wearable and if it's not then I will learn something

Imagine you’re Miles Edgeworth. The one person in your life who has contributed most to you pulling yourself together and becoming the best version of yourself is disgraced and disbarred. He refuses monetary assistance but you still visit from time to time. He’s cagey about it, but he’s clearly keeping up with the law and he’s obviously got plans, but you’re just glad he’s driven toward something.
Then one day you’re walking down the hall in the court house and as you pass one of the court rooms you hear a familiar cry of “objection!” You think to yourself “that can’t be right, he’s disbarred,” but you can’t bring yourself to dismiss the feeling, so you enter the gallery.
And lo and behold, Phoenix Wright is on trial for murder. And he’s currently accusing one of his legal counsel of committing the crime.
You are at once filled with the desire to punch your friend in the face, and a strange sense of nostalgic comfort. The second feeling only increases the intensity of the first.
