Something I’m rlly happy about is I know that the CC’s are going to talk to the admins about how the debates can be run better and that the admins will listen!

What did you think of episode 4?

we loved it! first of all, how could you go wrong with an opening scene like that...

Like Ben getting those little moments of healing, in the bacta tank then later with Leia, were just so vital after what he went through in part 3. And what he's gone through up until this point.

But I think more than anything, Ben showing up again in old Jedi robes then being more confident with the Force and using his lightsaber again just made our hearts swell. 🥺 This was everything.

(Unfortunately the prompts for this got buried a bit back, but I was able to find them again by using the timestamp on the ask and digging through my blog's archive on desktop. Phew!)

11.Do you prefer ‘blank slate’ main characters you make yourself or otherwise project onto, or characters with a set personality and backstory?

It depends at this point for me honestly! There's strengths to either one and there are some games where I think a blank slate character works better and others where a character with a set personality and backstory are better for me. I think now that I'm older, I can more easily relate to characters who have set personalities and backstories even if they're different than me. But I do like having the wiggle room of a 'blank slate' that I can either customize in game or imagine how I want them to be.

(And then there are some cases where both work! While I only watched a let's play of it and haven't played the game yet-even though I very much want to- the original Dead Space and its remake come to mind. Having the protag as a silent protag you could project onto worked in the original in terms of investing the player in the story and adding to the immersion. But the protag being voiced and having his backstory and personality more fleshed out was great too, because the writers took the time and care into making him an interesting and emotionally engaging character.)

15. Do you have a backlog and do you keep track of it? If so, how?

A backlog? Let me see *rummages around and a list a mile long falls out and rolls across the floor*

But in all seriousness I have a very long backlog. I don't really keep track of the physical stuff super well, but I do make use of stuff like steam stats to track my backlog for my digital copy games.

At this point though, the backlog is so long my main goal is just to have PLAYED the stuff in my backlog, even if I don't finish it or even make a lot of progress. And then focus on the stuff I really, really like and try to finish it.

22. A game ending that’s really stuck with you

Hmm. I think I'd have to say the ending of Mass Effect 2. It still punches me in the gut every time and the soundtrack for it brings me to tears. The endings of FE Awakening and Fable II are a pretty close second.
