What I think about shadowgast. Everyone agrees they could make each other better but I think it's fun that they could just as easily be the worst thing that's ever happened to each other. They are just similar enough in singleminded hubris to indulge each other's worst impulses. Time travel is transmutation + dunamancy.

might be alone in this, but I actually prefer essek being totally correct about the luxon not being a god more than any other theory. there's something so delicious in knowing you've proved evethying you'd always striven to prove, and then realizing that what you did to get there wasn't worth it. that you shouldn't have done it. to be totally vindicated, and have it not matter. to claim the title of the world's bestest, most smartest, rightest boy and realize it doesn't mean a damn thing

If you want to say read manhua, but would like to hear how the words are pronounced, or you read faster with audio, or you'd like a kind of quick-animated clip kind of experience? You can search any manhua name then 漫剧 manju. So 破云漫剧 for poyun manhua clip, of just search 漫剧 and browse (with the suggestions bilibili gives me i see like 100 danmei manhua suggested videos when i search that, and a lot of detective ones)

The videos are either usually short 1-4 minute clips of a manhua chapter (i used to watch the 盗墓笔记重启 ones cause theyre all funny self contained stories), and long 1-4 hour videos of entire collections of many chapters of a manhua. They're voice acted or narrated, with captions and/or text bubbles on screen, and some even have sound effects and music and slight animations done on the art panels. It can be a nice middle ground if you'd like to read, but still want kind of the audio that comes with an audio drama or donghua. And if you know some words based on aound and some from only reading its one way to get both listening and text when light reading (aka when you don't want to concentrate on all text no pictures with an audiobook of a novel).

I started White Cat Legend with low expectations and unfortunately it did not exceed those expectations in the end. I did finish it though, so it wasn't that bad, just nothing to write home about.

If there's one thing that guzhuang dramas do well, it's usually the angsty childhood friends turned enemies because of some misunderstanding trope. I will give props to the Li Bing/Qiu Qingzhi plot line. It was angsty, touching, and kept me guessing. I just wish it got more screentime.

Ouch. I felt for Li Bing here. He's too far away to see Qiu Qingzhi's face, otherwise he would know QQZ was shook up. 😢

When LB addressed QQZ as General Qiu, that was cold. QQZ was about to cry knowing LB was misunderstanding him so badly. You could see the pain in his face. He wanted to explain everything, but he knew he couldn't in order to protect LB.

Even after LB told him they aren't friends, QQZ didn't hesitate to save LB because QQZ still cherishes their friendship. I was a a bit pissed we didn't get to see LB visit QQZ while he was recovering. The man saved his life! It's the least he could do. 😑

Nooo! Poor QQZ. They just had to go the tragic route with this trope didn't they?

QQZ is about to die and all he wants to know is if they're still besties. 😭😭😭 QQZ was always looking out for LB. 😭 I would have translated this as "Of course. Of course we are." I think sure sounds a bit flippant for the situation. 😅
