Having recently procured a WearOS smartwatch to monitor my heart rate, I realised that these new-fangled gizmos have custom watch faces anyone can create. Inspired by the Limited Edition Bluey OST on vinyl, I recreated their designs into soul-cleansing watch faces.

Tamagotchi Uni Watch Faces

Ever since the Tamagotchi Smart introduced the ability to wear your Tamagotchi on your wrist, Bandai has made it a point to add a watch functionality to Tamagotchi’s. This functionality carries over to it’s successor, the Tamagotchi Uni.

The watch faces on the Tamagotchi Uni are both functional and stylish as they show you the date and time, as well as the battery life featured in the upper right-hand corner of the display. One watch face does not fit all, and that is why Bandai has created four watch faces that come with the Tamagotchi Uni. To trigger the watch face, simply hold down the "A" button, which is what you’ll need to trigger every time you want to see the watch face.

Select the “B” button once you’re on the watch face in order to modify the watch face, change the time and date, and the date display. So what are the watch faces like? The first one is truly Tamagotchi Uni themed, with the wavy lines featured in pink, green, yellow, purple, blue, and white. The clock is large and in the center followed by AM or PM in blue, an the date directly below.

Second is another Uni-like watch face which features vibrant blue, purple, pink, green, and blue colors all abstractly placed with an analog clock featuring the numbers in different colors right in the center. Third, you have the first Shirotama watch face in pink which features three Shirotama’s in different positions on the right, and the time with two digits on the top and two on the bottom followed by the AM or PM and date at the bottom. Lastly you have the purple Shirotama watch face which is identical to the pink one, just in purple.

These watch faces are super cute, and we’re glad that you don’t need to get a TamaSma card to change them up. They’re also easy to activate, and now they show the battery life of your Tamagotchi.

Tamagotchi Uni Features Several Watch Faces

You’ve been asking, and we’ve got the answer. At the Tamagotchi Uni Launch Party in NYC on June 27th, 2023 we had the opportunity to not only attend, but get some hands-on time with the Tamagotchi Uni. We were actually lucky enough to be able to play with Tara Badie, Bandai Namco Toys & Collectibles America, Senior Director Brand Strategy’s Tamagotchi Uni! How awesome is that? We also took one home as well, and are going to be answering your questions!

The Tamagotchi Uni is similar to the Tamagotchi Smart in some ways, including the ability to wear it on your wrist as a watch, and we love that! However this model is a bit different. To trigger the watch face screen on your Tamagotchi Uni, simply press A + C buttons together and you’ll see the watch face. There are several styles to choose from too! You can event edit the formatting of the time and date too ensuring it’s customized to your preferences!
