1. how different in temperament are your dutchie vs your belgians?
2. (i know the akc considers the different belgian types separate breeds but the rest of the world doesn't) (assuming youre in the US) do you know how different, if any, the different belgian types are in temperament?
thank u & give ur doggos a pat for me :)
i actually just wrote an article abt dutchies vs. groens in my experience and its waiting to get published so i am going to copy & paste some of this from there
but 1) dutchies vs. groens:
The temperament difference is ultimately going to fall onto the difference in lines. There will be some similarities—both breeds are medium-sized herding dogs and often referred to as “pointy, bitey dogs”—dogs that were (at least at one point) bred for military and police work. While the Dutch Shepherd dominates this field more than the Belgian Sheepdog in modern times, historically, Belgian Sheepdogs were bred for the same qualities. The biggest similarity is that these dogs have strong work ethics, a lot of energy, and really like to use their teeth.
Temperament-wise, Belgian Sheepdogs tend to be “softer” dogs and tend not to have quite as much drive as Dutch Shepherds on average. This can vary on an individual level, but the majority of Belgian Sheepdogs in America are not police dogs (although their tan, short haired variety, the Malinois, is) and are sport dogs or companions instead. The Dutch Shepherd is very commonly seen in police forces and in a working environment, although they do excel in sports and as companions as well.
These breeds share a lot of similarities. The Dutch Shepherd and Belgian Sheepdog are medium-sized breeds that are, at their core, working breeds. Both breeds embody the word ‘versatile’. Both breeds are incredibly intelligent, have a lot of energy, and love to work with their person. They are alert and watchful. They are fun to train, hold lots of natural enthusiasm, are confident, and are extremely athletic. Both need proper socialization early to make sure they turn out as stable adults.
2) belgian differences:
this one i don't have pre-written but it is largely the same...the individual differences are going to fall on the lines the dog comes from. in general, laekenois tend to be the "softest" out of the four, with groens also being softer than a terv or mal. malinois are the most extreme, but they also have the most variety and are the most popular, so it makes sense. they usually have the highest energy, drive, and variation in temperament, size, and looks. however! a lot of individual lines of things like groens or tervs can match a malinois in drive and energy. nettle regularly competes with & out-intensifies malinois. finch does not. malinois and tervs are usually more competitive as well.

Okay gonna bang this out real fast before bedtime. Had another long talk with agility trainer and we’re gonna try some stuff with Him. Under a cut for length.
We really want to reward enthusiasm and speed, so we’re getting rid of startline stays for now. Tonight I experimented with letting him out of his crate and then running with him to the course. He really liked that and was pumped even before we started. I held his collar and said “Are you reaaaaady? Let’s go!” and then started the course.
We were working four obstacle sequences where the first two were the same every time, so that was a great time to experiment. For the next while whenever Kermit breaks into a run I’m going to throw down a jackpot. He loves to zoom through the tunnel so we’ll jackpot tunnels. Later we’ll start adding obstacles after the tunnel, then jackpot, but for now we’re building a pattern.
He loves blind crosses and they speed him up, so I’ll blind cross whenever possible.
My homework this week is to put down three or four jumps with a spotplate at the end. Load the spotplate with one treat (hotdog), then go for the most explosive start and run possible. The more effort/speed he puts in, the bigger the jackpot. My trainer suggested that if I beat him, pretend to eat a cookie so he feels he missed out. If he is blazing along and beats me, throw the party of the century.
We think that he overthinks agility a bit and it makes him feel unsure/insecure. He’s afraid of messing up. The goal is for him to “run with gusto” as my trainer put it. The more aggressive I handle him, the less time he has to think about things (this worked really well for Bindi, too).
I’ve got him entered as FEO in November to get our feet wet. The Plan is to find a three or four obstacle sequence, bring him in the ring, do it with as much enthusiasm/gusto as possible, then leave and do a huge jackpot. What works really well for Kermit is to be shown his payment before a sequence, then put the payment on a shelf so he knows where it is, then run the sequence. We’ve been practicing that a lot, so he knows the pattern, and that will help at the trial.
My trainer mostly owns shelties and border collies, but she has a lot of clients with terriers. She has a lot of experience with off breeds. And the most difficult dog that she has ever trained was her own dog-- a little eleven-pound fluffy thing of indistinguishable origin named Tess.
Trainer says Kermit reminds her a lot of Tess, where he is very particular in how he wants to be handled. In order to run Tess in agility, my trainer had to hold her chest at the startline, growl “Are you ready? Are you gonna bite me? Arrrrre you gonna bite me?”, push Tess back with her hand, and then take off running the course. Then she had to keep chanting “Are you gonna get me? Are you gonna bite me?” under her breath as they ran. She had to be exactly ten feet in front of Tess, no farther. And then at the end of the course Tess got her favorite treat-- a whole fish’s head. If my trainer left out any of those parts, then Tess would not run. Just would sit on the startline with pricked ears and watch without moving. XD
My trainer put eight MACHS on that dog. XDD
So uh, we just need to find Kermit’s buttons. An important ritual for him is that I crouch down so he can put his paws on my shoulders and kiss my ear. He also really likes clapping and thumbs up. If he looks up at me with his lip caught on his teeth and swaggers when he walks, then I know that I reached him right.
Trainer says that Kermit is very particular and will be a difficult dog to train in agility. But she says he is a really nice dog and she likes him a lot. And I know that she talks about him to her other students. So it will just be a lot of playing around to find out what lights him on fire. I did get a dachshund to become a better trainer, so this is just fine.
She says she’s excited for when Terv Puppy will be ready to run agility, because Kermit will already have whipped me into shape... just in time for me to have a whole new set of problems to deal with, with a new, (hopefully) fast dog.

queer is the only word I got that really encompasses all of what I am and I ain't stopping using it for anyone. long before I realized I was nonbinary I watched the whole "queer is a slur" bullshit unfold on tumblr and was so confused cause growing up gay was the slur of my generation not queer. terfs and those who drink the terf koolaid are the only ones I'd ever seen insist it was a slur. I think I might start using genderqueer instead of nonbinary just to piss people off.
Do it. It's what it originally existed for as it was- a concept outside the binary (yes, gendeerqueer predates nonbinary as a term), and as a deliberate political statement at the same time. Personally, I've always been some stripe of queer ever since I started really analyzing and trying to figure out my own senses of identity and orientation, partly because mine are such an all-over-the-place mess, but also because umbrella terms are awesome and we should have more of them. Especially if they're just for pissing off the terves.

Bro there’s a fucking small niche community of terf good omens fans I just came across like buddy come on why. There is lots of gender going on in this show. Also this show contradicts the “trans people are trying to erase lesbians” narrative terves have because like,,, Nina and Maggie. So like why. I mean I watch a couple things that I don’t fully politically align with but that’s usually within the context of “20 year old show that’s aged a bit poorly” since most shows I like are from the late 90’s to 2010’s (which doesn’t seem long ago but things have changed a lot in the last ten years.) If a show came out that was pro things I’m against NOW I wouldn’t watch it. Also if you’re going to watch a show with a trans characters, and post transphobic shit related to that show, dont reblog art posted by trans people, risking them being exposed to your transphobic shit in the process. Why

About friendship with trans people, I'd befriend people who suffer from dysphoria because I suffer from it to an extent. I live in an uber-conservative country, so it's inevitable; a LOT of girls and women suffer from it, even though they do not want to become male. However, I always knew surgery cannot change sex, so I never identified as trans. Living in a conservative country, all my friends are female, and I know them for a long time (since childhood, and only bio women were allowed into girls' schools); had they been trans (ftm), I would've known. Male friend that might turn out to be female? The chance is zero because I don't have male friends. I wouldn't go out of my way to befriend the sex of people who congratulate criminals under posts about honor murder or rape. Openly defend honor murder in front of me. Or type of "friends" that come up with a bullshit term like "friend-zone". Extreme sex segregation is the only thing I like about where I live. Now, had my friends been trans (ftm), I would've known. Let's say there's a 2% chance some of my friends are ftm, I wouldn't care because if their mindset or behavior hasn't bothered me so far, then it's not my business; I'm not going to dump them just 'cause they're suffering from dysphoria and want to transition because they think it will ease their struggle, which is not easy but it's legal; their choice. But going out of my way to befriend people who I'm more likely to fundamentally disagree with? Um...fuck that! I had this mindset in the past and remained friends with my muslimah friends after I left the religion, and everytime they talked I felt like someone was trying to drown me because I disagreed with what they said, but I couldn't say my opinion because that is how some of my family had to flee the country; because of their waste of space friends who wanted to get them killed/arrested. Then, one day, I told the most laid back one out of them that I'm "deist". Yes you heard me right, deist! And she went apeshit crazy. It was very, very stressful and I won't go into detail but the only way I managed to shut her up was blackmailing her back. So from that day on, I've promised myself that I'd only befriend people that are more likely to be similar-minded or at least I will agree with them in fundamental stuff. I'm doing much better since that decision. Believers? People who I fundamentally disagree with? They are my acquientances at best, not friends. Life is shit as it is in a collapsing third world country, and I'm not a masochist to make it shittier. I'm not going to converse with people who are more likely to get on my nerves and try to directly or indirectly insinuate that women here deserve to be second class citizens because prophet said "women are deficient in Intelligence"; or "gendure is innate", "anyone can identify as man/woman" or whatever. There are trans men who don't externilize misogyny, there are! But I don't have a detector, and I'm tired of the guessing games.
I don't owe friendship to people who laugh at radfems who post about the friends they've lost to gendur ideology, telling them they deserve loneliness, blah blah. I used to watch a TRA YouTuber for three years and he did laugh at an online community of "terves" grieving for their lost friendships. If anything I've learned from living in a theocratic country where my blood is halal, is that respect goes both ways. I'm tired of empathizing with everyone. They have enough friends of their own.
i think there’s nothing wrong w a woman not wanting to befriend males & it makes perfect sense not to befriend ppl if there is a fundamental difference in ur worldview. its also why i used to have trans friends but not anymore lol like im open to befriending a trans person if they dont buy into gender ideology but thats quite rare nowadays so realistically speaking its highly unlikely for me. as u mentioned its just not comfortable befriending someone who thinks badly of u and is ready to come after u over ur difference in beliefs no matter how tame. if someone believes im evil for not thinking ppl are born in the wrong body n for thinking transition shouldn’t be the immediate response to dysphoria or that males can turn into women then… let them.. i wont sit there proving my humanity to someone 🤷🏾‍♀️

My love for beauyasha as a ship absolutely has to do with the fact that they're lesbians but my identification with them has nothing whatsoever to do with gender because I'm not a woman. This is the simplest way I can explain the divide between my content and the pervasive radfem idea that their love is inherently better or more pure because they're women. There is nothing intrinsically better or worth more about their relationship that can be predicated solely on gender. To insist the value of their relationship lies in some intrinsic purity of womanhood is to buy right into terf ideology because the next thing you have to do after asserting that love between women is superior is define womanhood. You don't get to insist that's the reason something is better and then be unable to explain what about it can only belong to one gender. It is one thing for you to accept that trans women are women as an ally. It is another to perpetuate ideals about what that means without realizing you're leading right back to terves.
The fact that Beau and yasha are women factors but doesn't define. There's nothing quite like a lesbian relationship just like there's nothing quite like any other outside the white/abled/allocishet norms set out for us. Beau and yasha like women and that attraction is what made their journey possible. It's not at all transphobic to acknowledge and celebrate that.
But you start with that - you don't end there. Their relationship was built from their shared past experiences and values, and the end result - the reason we draw and write and delight in them - couldn't exist between any other two people. It's theirs, and that process of learning to trust and finding solace in one another has nothing at all to do with gender. You cannot attribute that which sparks the creativity and the joy of so many to something as trivial as gender. Again, if you do, the next thing you have to do is define that gender.
See how easily that road leads to biological essentialism? You know better than to say it has to do with genitals because you mean well and you support trans people. You've done your homework, you know binary sex isn't as clear cut as it's made out to be. You probably know, even if you're cis, that gender resists objective definition. And yet by insisting a love is better or more pure between women simply because they're women, you've found yourself about to have to do just that.
This is me explaining to you the best way I can what I mean when I say that insisting lesbian relationships are supreme solely because they are between two women directly benefits terfs, even if you yourself are a trans ally.
Understanding gender identity as a factor in attraction and not the defining essence of love is the difference between seeking and enjoying a specifically lesbian relationship and perpetuating transphobia.
And it is exhausting as a trans person who adores beauyasha to watch so many of you guys condemn transphobia in one breath and go on about the intrinsic purity of wlw love in the next. It's the same rhetoric. Terfs in this fandom don't just roll up and tell you trans women are men. The cast has done a good job leaving a place for us at the table. Transphobes know not to be overt because they aren't welcome in this space. That's why their bullshit is so much more than that one simple view and so much more insidious.

it’s late and i finished finally watching that men’s sprint and im kinda emo lol
we rlly needed our men’s team to deliver,,, to get those four olympic spots (and which means we can put out the relay team as well in beijing) and that meant we needed those three to finish in top85 and hope that japan fails (bc at the time japan was the last team to get four olympic spots and we’re right behind them)
and what did our guys do? rene and kalev both did 10/10 (kalev did his best finish in like three seasons!!) and got into the pursuit as well (tho those points don’t count for the qualification quota but who cares) and kristo missed two but still finished in top85!!
and japan failed!! and that means we currently are in the qualification standings in 19th place (20th is slovakia and japan 21st) and have four olympics spots!!
and since the relay is final event to get some points, all we need to do is to finish better than japan and our quartet can appear in beijing (dudes pls don’t clown)
terve eesti eest!!! or whatever!!!

U think terfs are being told to shut up bc they figured out the galaxy brain idea that women wont turn evil from watching gone girl and we're just bitter? And not bc... idk... they're terfs? + non-terfs were sayin that too and you'd know if you didn't surround yourself with terfs. Also very feminist of you to be calling other women retards.
no retard i think "terves" are told to shut up bc they dare have (mostly) correct ideas about feminism and how misogyny works and it makes people mad when women dare take a shitty little stand for their rights even if its online. and the gone girl thing was one mostly silly facet of it. + even if non rfs were saying it the idea that it was a "terf talkpoint" was widespread which was my point. jesus. read my blog or something

Hi terves, I know I haven’t been active on here in awhile, I’ve taken a bit of a break for the holidays. But I just wanted to wish everyone who celebrates a merry Christmas! And if you don’t celebrate it then I hope you still have a great day! I just got to see my grandfather for the first time since March so I’m so, so happy. We obviously couldn’t hug or anything but it was like 60 degrees out earlier so he came by and we sat outside (social distanced) and talked for awhile. It was so nice to see him, especially on Christmas. I’ve missed him so much.
If you wanna know what I’ve been up to, I’ve basically just been watching The Wilds over and over again because holy fucking shit is it good. It’s like Derry Girls in the sense that it’s portrayal of teenage girls is so beyond accurate. It’s literally like watching my 17 year old self on television. Like. I can’t stop watching this damn show. And yes, you already know who my favorites are:
Tumblr media
Queens. I love them so much. I didn’t think anyone could rival Tara and Willow from Buffy or Frankie and Bridget from Wentworth but jesus fucking christ, these two have given those ships a run for their money. That’s how much I adore them.
So yeah. I’ll be back soon, I just needed to get the fuck away from all the homophobia on this hellsite for awhile.
Merry Christmas!

Its somewhat ironic that a movie about time travel can’t be reviewed properly until your future self rewatches the movie. It’s bold of Nolan to make such a thoroughly dense blockbuster. He assumes people will actually want to see ~F9: The Fast Saga  [ Halálos iramban 9 ] 2021  án more than once so they can understand it properly, which some may not. This movie makes the chronology of Inception look as simplistic as tic-tac-toe. Ergo, it’s hard for me to give an accurate rating, without having seen it twice, as I’m still trying to figure out whether everything does indeed make sense. If it does, this movie is easily a 9 or 10. If it doesn’t, it’s a 6. It’s further not helped by the fact that the dialogue in the first 15 minutes of the movie is painfully hard to understand / hear. Either they were behind masks; they were practically mumbling; the sound effects were too loud; or all of the above. The exposition scenes are also waayyy too brief for something this complex — a problem also shared with Interstellar actually. (Interstellar had this minimalist exposition problem explaining Blight, where if you weren’t careful, you’d miss this one sentence / scene in the entire movie explaining that Blight was a viral bacteria: “Earth’s atmosphere is 80% nitrogen, we don’t even breathe nitrogen. Blight does, and as it thrives, our air gets less and less oxygen”). I guess it’s a Nolan quirk. Hopefully, a revision of the film audio sorts the sound mixing out. I do like the soundtrack, but it’s too loud initially. I liked all the actors. You think John Washington can’t act at first, but he can, and he grows on you as the film progresses. And Pattinson is his usual charming self. Elizabeth is a surprise treat. And so on. Its worth a watch either way. See it with subtitles if you can. And definitely don’t expect to fully understand whats going on the first time around. Its one hell of a complicated film. It will be very hard for an average viewer to gather all the information provided by this movie at the first watch. But the more you watch it, more hidden elements will come to light. And when you are able to put these hidden elements together. You will realize that this movie is just a “masterpiece” which takes the legacy of Christopher Nolan Forward If I talk about acting, Then I have to say that Robert Pattinson has really proved himself as a very good actor in these recent years. And I am sure his acting skills will increase with time. His performance is charming and very smooth. Whenever he is on the camera, he steals the focus John David Washington is also fantastic in this movie. His performance is electrifying, I hope to see more from him in the future. Other characters such as Kenneth Branagh, Elizabeth, Himesh Patel, Dimple Kapadia, Clémence Poésy have also done quite well. And I dont think there is a need to talk about Michael Caine Talking about Music, its awesome. I dont think you will miss Hans Zimmer’s score. Ludwig has done a sufficient job. There is no lack of good score in the movie Gotta love the editing and post production which has been put into this movie. I think its fair to say this Nolan film has focused more in its post production. The main problem in the movie is the sound mixing. Plot is already complex and some dialogues are very soft due to the high music score. It makes it harder to realize what is going on in the movie. Other Nolan movies had loud BGM too. But Audio and dialogues weren’t a problem My humble request to everyone is to please let the movie sink in your thoughts. Let your mind grasp all the elements of this movie. I am sure more people will find it better. Even those who think they got the plot. I can bet they are wrong. ~F9: The Fast Saga  [ Halálos iramban 9 ] 2021  án is the long awaited new movie from Christopher Nolan. The movie that’s set to reboot the multiplexes post-Covid. It’s a manic, extremely loud, extremely baffling sci-fi cum spy rollercoaster that will please a lot of Nolan fan-boys but which left me with very mixed views. John David Washington (Denzel’s lad) plays “The Protagonist” — a crack-CIA field operative who is an unstoppable one-man army in the style of Hobbs or Shaw. Recruited into an even more shadowy organisation, he’s on the trail of an international arms dealer, Andrei Sator (Kenneth Branagh in full villain mode). Sator is bullying his estranged wife Kat (Elizabeth Debicki) over custody of their son (and the film unusually has a BBFC warning about “Domestic Abuse”). Our hero jets the world to try to prevent a very particular kind of Armageddon while also keeping the vulnerable and attractive Kat alive. This is cinema at its biggest and boldest. Nolan has taken a cinema ‘splurge’ gun, filled it with money, set it on rapid fire, removed the safety and let rip at the screen. Given that Nolan is famous for doing all of his ‘effects’ for real and ‘in camera’, some of what you see performed is almost unbelievable. You thought crashing a train through rush-hour traffic in “Inception” was crazy? You ain’t seen nothing yet with the airport scene! And for lovers of Chinooks (I must admit I am one and rush out of the house to see one if I hear it coming!) there is positively Chinook-p*rn on offer in the film’s ridiculously huge finale. The ‘inversion’ aspects of the story also lends itself to some fight scenes — one in particular in an airport ‘freeport’ — which are both bizarre to watch and, I imagine, technically extremely challenging to pull off. In this regard John David Washington is an acrobatic and talented stunt performer in his own right, and must have trained for months for this role. Nolan’s crew also certainly racked up their air miles pre-lockdown, since the locations range far and wide across the world. The locations encompassed Denmark, Estonia, India, Italy, Norway, the United Kingdom, and United States. Hoyte Van Hoytema’s cinematography is lush in introducing these, especially the beautiful Italian coast scenes. Although I did miss the David Arnold strings that would typically introduce these in a Bond movie: it felt like that was missing. The ‘timey-wimey’ aspects of the plot are also intriguing and very cleverly done. There are numerous points at which you think “Oh, that’s a sloppy continuity error” or “Shame the production design team missed that cracked wing mirror”. Then later in the movie, you get at least a dozen “Aha!” moments. Some of them (no spoilers) are jaw-droppingly spectacular. Perhaps the best twist is hidden in the final line of the movie. I only processed it on the way home. And so to the first of my significant gripes with ~F9: The Fast Saga  [ Halálos iramban 9 ] 2021  án. The sound mix in the movie is all over the place. I’d go stronger than that… it’s truly awful (expletive deleted)! Nolan often implements Shakespeare’s trick of having characters in the play provide exposition of the plot to aid comprehension. But unfortunately, all of this exposition dialogue was largely incomprehensible. This was due to: the ear-splitting volume of the sound: 2021 movie audiences are going to be suffering from ‘~F9: The Fast Saga  [ Halálos iramban 9 ] 2021  ánis’! (LOL); the dialogue is poorly mixed with the thumping music by Ludwig Göransson (Wot? No Hans Zimmer?); a large proportion of the dialogue was through masks of varying description (#covid-appropriate). Aaron Taylor-Johnson was particularly unintelligible to my ears. Overall, watching this with subtitles at a special showing might be advisable! OK, so I only have a PhD in Physics… but at times I was completely lost as to the intricacies of the plot. It made “Inception” look like “The Tiger Who Came to Tea”. There was an obvious ‘McGuffin’ in “Inception” — — (“These ‘dream levels’… how exactly are they architected??”…. “Don’t worry… they’ll never notice”. And we didn’t!) In “~F9: The Fast Saga  [ Halálos iramban 9 ] 2021  án” there are McGuffins nested in McGuffins. So much of this is casually waved away as “future stuff… you’re not qualified” that it feels vaguely condescending to the audience. At one point Sator says to Kat “You don’t know what’s going on, do you?” and she shakes her head blankly. We’re right with you there luv! There are also gaps in the storyline that jar. The word “~F9: The Fast Saga  [ Halálos iramban 9 ] 2021  án”? What does it mean. Is it just a password? I’m none the wiser. The manic pace of ~F9: The Fast Saga  [ Halálos iramban 9 ] 2021  án and the constant din means that the movie gallops along like a series of disconnected (albeit brilliant) action set pieces. For me, it has none of the emotional heart of the Cobb’s marriage problems from “Inception” or the father/daughter separation of “Interstellar”. In fact, you barely care for anyone in the movie, perhaps with the exception of Kat. It’s a talented cast. As mentioned above, John David Washington is muscular and athletic in the role. It’s a big load for the actor to carry in such a tent-pole movie, given his only significant starring role before was in the excellent BlacKkKlansman. But he carries it off well. A worthy successor to Gerard Butler and Jason Statham for action roles in the next 10 years. This is also a great performance by Robert Pattinson, in his most high-profile film in a long time, playing the vaguely alcoholic and Carré-esque support guy. Pattinson’s Potter co-star Clemence Poésy also pops up — rather more un-glam that usual — as the scientist plot-expositor early in the movie. Nolan’s regular Michael Caine also pops up. although the 87-year old legend is starting to show his age: His speech was obviously affected at the time of filming (though nice try Mr Nolan in trying to disguise that with a mouth full of food!). But in my book, any amount of Caine in a movie is a plus. He also gets to deliver the best killer line in the film about snobbery! However, it’s Kenneth Branagh and Elizabeth Debicki that really stand out. They were both fabulous, especially when they were bouncing off each other in their marital battle royale. So, given this was my most anticipated movie of the year, it’s a bit of a curate’s egg for me. A mixture of being awe-struck at times and slightly disappointed at others. It’s a movie which needs a second watch, so I’m heading back today to give my ear drums another bashing! And this is one where I reserve the right to revisit my rating after that second watch… it’s not likely to go down… but it might go up. (For the full graphical review, check out One Mann’s Movies on t’interweb and Facebook. Thanks.) As this will be non-spoiler, I can’t say too much about the story. However, what I can is this: ~F9: The Fast Saga  [ Halálos iramban 9 ] 2021  án’s story is quite dynamic in the sense that you won’t understand it till it wants you to. So, for the first half, your brain is fighting for hints and pieces to puzzle together the story. It isn’t until halfway through the movie that ~F9: The Fast Saga  [ Halálos iramban 9 ] 2021  án invites you to the fantastic storytelling by Christopher Nolan. Acting is beyond phenomenal, and I’d be genuinely surprised if neither Robert Pattinson nor John David Washington doesn’t receive an Oscar nomination for best actor. It’s also hard not to mention how good Elizabeth Debicki and Aaron Johnson both are. All around, great acting, and the dialogue amps up the quality of the movie. The idea of this movie is damn fascinating, and while there are films that explore time-travelling, there’s never been anything quite like this. It has such a beautiful charm and for the most part, explains everything thoroughly. It feels so much more complex than any form of time-travelling we’ve seen, and no less could’ve been expected from Nolan. Oh my lord, the score for this film fits so perfectly. Every scene that’s meant to feel intense was amped by a hundred because of how good the score was. Let me just say though, none of them will be found iconic, but they fit the story and scenes so well. In the end, I walked out, feeling very satisfied. Nevertheless, I do have issues with the film that I cannot really express without spoiling bits of the story. There are definitely little inconsistencies that I found myself uncovering as the story progressed. However, I only had one issue that I found impacted my enjoyment. That issue was understanding some of the dialogue. No, not in the sense that the movie is too complicated, but more that it was hard to make out was being said at times. It felt like the movie required subtitles, but that probably was because, at a time in the film, there was far too much exposition. Nevertheless, I loved this film, I’ll be watching it at least two more times, and I think most of you in this group will enjoy it. I definitely suggest watching it in theatres if possible, just so you can get that excitement. (4/5) & (8.5/10) for those that care about number scores. At first, I want to ask Christopher Nolan one question, HOW THE HELL YOU DID THIS? Seriously I want to have an answer, How did he write such as this masterpiece! How did he get this complicated, fabulous and creative idea? What is going on in his mind? The story is written and directed perfectly, the narration style was absolutely unique. I have no idea how can anyone direct such as this story, that was a huge challenge, and as usual Nolan gave us a masterpiece that we’ll put beside (Memento), (Inception) and (Interstellar) The movie is so fast-paced in a good way, there was no boring moment. The chemistry between John David Washington and Robert Pattinson was great and funny and both of their performance was really good. Elizabeth Debicki performance was the best in the movie because she had the chance to show her acting abilities and she cached up that chance and showed us an A level acting. The music wasn’t unique and distinct as the music of Interstellar for example and I think this movie needed the touch of Hans Zimmer, I’m not saying that Ludwig Göransson failed but Hans Zimmer in another level. If there was something I’d say that I didn’t like it in the movie would it be that Nolan discarded any set up or characters backgrounds except Elizabeth Debicki dramatic story but it wasn’t that bad for me, I didn’t care about that, the exciting story didn’t give me the chance to focus on it. But the actual problem was the third act, it was really complicated and I got lost and I convinced myself to discard the questions that were in my head and enjoy the well-made action sequences and Elizabeth Debicki performance. I think this kind of movie that gets better with a second and third watch. I honestly don’t quite know where to begin with ~F9: The Fast Saga  [ Halálos iramban 9 ] 2021  án. I love Christopher Nolan’s work but I have never seen a more complicated film (and I understood Memento). ~After nearly three hours, I came away from ~F9: The Fast Saga  [ Halálos iramban 9 ] 2021  án not knowing myself, my mind reduced to nothing more than piles of ash. Was there time travel involved? Hmm, there was definitely something about time inversion. I mean, does Nolan even understand what he wrote? Look, I give credit to the director because he’s one of the few directors left who knows how to create a compelling and intelligent blockbuster. ~F9: The Fast Saga  [ Halálos iramban 9 ] 2021  án is full of Nolan trademarks — the gratuitous Michael Caine cameo, a loud, really loud score, complete with stunning cinematography and slickly inventive action set-pieces. This time around however, Nolan has finally managed to ‘out-Nolan’ himself: the palindromic plot, whilst creatively ambitious, is simply far too complicated for its own good. ~F9: The Fast Saga  [ Halálos iramban 9 ] 2021  án is overlong, overstuffed, pretentious and too exhausting to comprehend in its entirety — it makes Inception and Interstellar look like Peppa Pig by comparison. I’m aware of the technical wizardry and creative mastery in this film and lord knows I’ll have to watch this again. For those who want a puzzle, ~F9: The Fast Saga  [ Halálos iramban 9 ] 2021  án at least provides a unique cinematic experience. But to actually enjoy solving it Nolan wants you to work very very hard

So this is the first puppy that I’ve trained in ten years, and I am a much better trainer than I was ten years ago, so take this with a grain of salt:  Kermit seems so smart to me?
He is a really good problem-solver. Even if he and I don’t agree on what constitutes a problem or an acceptable solution. If he encounters (what he considers to be) a problem, Kermit goes, “I solve this”, and he does. That might include climbing a log pile in an attempt to jump the garden fence to get squirrels, cuddling with Bindi so he can get close enough to steal a toy right out of her mouth, or running a couple hundred yards back up the trail away from me so he can use a landbridge to get across the ditch separating us. All of these are his own ideas that he came up with without my input.
He patterns extremely fast. When I put on my work clothes, he zips over to my bed so I can take his collar off, then he zips into his crate so I can give him a peanut butter kong. I’ve worked on down at the bottom of an obstacle only twice this week and he’s already offering down when he sees the spot can.
He watches Bindi and mimics what she does. This isn’t as pronounced now that he’s older, but when he was an infant he’d trail behind her and copy everything that she did. She likes to carry sticks, so he likes to carry sticks. She likes to walk on my right side, so he likes to walk on my right side.
He loves training and and has great engagement. He’s got an amazing memory and is pretty good at generalizing to different situations.
Kerm is the first dachshund that I have personally trained, and he’s hunting line. Most of the time when I see people talk about training dachshunds, it’s to mention how stubborn and hard to train they are. Kermit is definitely stubborn, but he’s been pretty easy to train. The hunters and sport people that I follow mostly post their dogs’ latest kills/titles, and not really about what they are like to train. So like, is Kermit a normal dachshund or is he a smart cookie? I feel like he’s brilliant, but I’m also super biased.
It will be interesting to see how Terv Puppy compares.

OBTAINING A FAVOR - HEAD OF THE VIRTUAL ORDER CYBER MASTER TERVLEN ERAKLEN PROCURING HELP FROM HIS FORMER COLLEGE SENIOR AND MENTOR TALMOS TARKONEN
After all these years you didn’t learn your lesson, did you Master Eraklen? Didn’t my father taught you anything about sympathizing with the enemy? You watch your tongue Talmos or I’ll--That’s okay Enphi, I’ll take it from here! Brother Talmos, I gave you a pardon because I was indebted to you and your father Master Tarkonen! He was like a father to me so you know what that made you, right? But what if I would turn on you Master Eraklen? I was a double agent
Of the Ja-annites, and Shaik (of the Dark Legion) even paid me to steal info from our Order--no wait! Don’t tell me! I’ve got the only unauthorized broadband frequency transducer to safely traverse the (virtual dimensional) vortex! Only to save Hafiztri, son of Viceroy Admantia (Shaik’s right hand man) Brother Talmos! Huh? What are you--And do you know that if the Council (Of Head Wizards) finds out about it I’ll get the death sentence (for treason) straight away?
But, why would you...? What, you don’t remember what you taught me Brother Talmos? No matter how much RAM your processor has, it’s useless if your heart’s not into it? You’re more reckless than I thought! But I always knew you knew that! Shaik never told me he kept Viceroy Admantia’s son alive though he did destroy Clurantia (Admantia’s homeworld)! This is new! Now do you see the risks I took to pardon you, Brother Talmos? But why do you want to bring him
To XNROE? Hafiztri’s dying from depleted life-force and he needs the Sacred Springwater Of Ambi-Valia to heal, and Master Luwing Xi needs a dragon to complete his Sky Master ritual so I mean...! (Guffaw) What’s so funny? Ah, after a long time you made me realized how stupid I was from day one! How I turned my back on life and got kicked in the balls by everyone from my dad to the Dark Emperor to Shaik himself! Whoa, he’s laughing when he’s supposed to be
Crying? Are you sure he’s not missing any screws up there? Don’t worry Enphi--he’s on our side now! So are you done laughing Brother Talmos? Heheheh! Rest assured I’m not insane yet you two! I may not like where this is going, but I never unmade my mind--not even once! Great! I will now upload all the data you need! Master Luwing Xi, my brother and I will then rendezvous with you at these coordinates in two hours time! As you wish! Do you have anything more to add
Brother Talmos? I was wrong about you Master Eraklen--you’re billion times better than all those foolish Elders put together! And no, it’s not because you’re related to Patriarch Thuvnori that I respect you, but because you really cared for our cause! I am forever at your service Master! For Life In A Better Light, And Our Future In A Better Place! (Cyber Magick’s Rede) I take my leave now! Fair days eternal! (Sigh) Man I got so scared just now I forgot I can nearly wet my pants again Terv! (Snicker) Yeah, and I’m glad that’s over! Let’s go Enphi...

imagine going into some kind of ~female only~ space as a nb person whose genitals a doctor looked at some years ago & said "that's a vulva i guess" & being surrounded by people who you know even if they use your pronouns are just misgendering you inside their minds, meanwhile you're fully aware that there are actual real women being deliberately, explicitly excluded from a place that's supposed to include them, and that there are people in that space who furthermore would happily enact actual violence upon those women they're excluding, and many of the people who would not enact the violence themselves would at least cheer it on. and you're not even a woman but you're still sitting there allowing all this. imagine thinking "oh yes this is a good idea for me. i love being misgendered and watching my friends also misgender other people who are just trying to exist authentically to themselves. this is the life." imagine
this isn't me trying to, idk, be performative? that post about nb terves was correct that they're out there and I've seen them, and i needed to kvetch
