Avy on the river
The full series of watercolor studies I did of @trappercreekhorde's photos of their beautiful ferret boy Avy climbing around river rocks, splashing around and basking in the sun. He was a lovely lad and these photos never fail to make me smile. 🧡
These are pencil and watercolors on hot press smooth paper, using a little Windor & Newton portable watercolor kit a friend gave me (including a white paint for the bubbles). You can read more about my process if you like on my Patreon, linked in the source.

The final piece from my recent show, ‘In Harmony.’ The Eastern Phoenix is often associated with harmony and new beginnings. In trying to portray those associations, the body is decorated with floral motifs; little sprouts blooming from its back, and tail feathers resembling a blossoming flower #brbchasingdreams
