A lil flip on the guy turns into a creature story. Demon realizes he’s turning into a human and has a meltdown in a bar bathroom about it.
Based on my sisters thought that fiends who fail to do evil stuff and sin will start losing their demonic abilities and appearance

[C] Helio and Yagra
When I got this lovely commission, I was wondering why one of the names sounds so familiar. Turns out Yagra is that one NPC from the Dragonheist campaign, which I had a chance to DM at one point. But what's cool is that in my client's campaign she got to be a couple with a PC and I think that's really sweet ~
Really enjoyed working on this one 💕

This is a better picture of Blue, my Warforged Rune Knight! They're part of the Waterdeep Dragon Heist game that I'm currently in and is a complete gentle giant... most of the time.
Unfortunately they're in a bit of a spiral around their burgeoning identity and emotions, thanks in part to our amazing DM who has hit them with SEVERAL major backstory revelations recently lol

So my good friend @thebestbeearts just finished running our group through Descent into Avernus, and for the whole time there was this post that she did that we kept reblogging every week when we had a session.
Now, I'll be the one running our group through Waterdeep Dragon heist, and she has asked me to continue the tradition...with my own post:

put together my final mish mash of an outfit redesign for visual dictionary jarlaxle. it has languished long enough in my wip folder. the year turned to shit and art isn’t coming very easily atm but at least this refined sketch was mostly done from earlier 🙌🏻
in the end, since it’s a redesign, i wanted to keep the colours similar even though i’m honestly not sold on the feather colours.
one day, a proper rendered version will happen.

UPD: if this post gets more notes, I'll draw more puffy-pants Escher. The confession post is in the reblogs (っಠ‿ಠ)っ
Okay, so we are currently at the ball (yep, that one from the last parts of the book) and I decided to sketch some outfits for my PC and also for some NPCs I'm responsible for. It's kinda rough, but I still like it.
From left to right:
Escher Belasco, who escaped Barovia and had a nice time in Waterdeep until he met us. The gorgeous lady, who decided to adopt him and perhaps cure his broken heart My PC Marcella Ilthine, whose hobbies include trying to seduce our priest since the pre-Barovian times and also making him terrifically uncomfortable
Also, in case you want to use that sketch of Escher for whatever unholy reasons you have, here ya go

Also, an older sketch of him I've realized I never showed you. Circa an in-game month ago, when he recently arrived at Waterdeep

I wanted to draw a diatryma so bad. Sickass murder bird
I named jarlaxle’s bird Aasha because I couldn’t find a canon name for her (when the party found aasha sleeping in a corner in his office they thought jax turned into a bird howl movingcastle style)

Thinking about the fact Minthara is from house Baenre
How well does she know Jarlaxle Baenre, if at all?
I need to know how closely related they are, for science. Are they just cousins? Siblings? Nephew? Aunt? Great grandniece twice removed? What's the familial tie here?
Both Minthara and Jarlaxle hail from The most powerful and influential house within Menzoberranzan. The cream of the crop of Lolthite cruelty.
Jarlaxle chose to start the Bregan D'aerthe, a merchantile and mercenary group largely consisting of houseless or disgraced male drow, but even while leading a band of mercs all trying to escape the thumb of the Lolthite matriarchy, they were directly funded by House Baenre. They still served the first house of Menzoberranzan with the commerce they brought in.
Minthara went to confront the absolutists for having the audacity to send their proselytizers to her people only to be infected and brainwashed herself. If it weren't for the absolutists and Orin she probably would have never left the Underdark or her house.
Realistically Minthara and Jarlaxle never met or crossed paths in person even while part of the same house, since a house of such power and importance probably has Quite a big family tree to form its ranks. They probably definitely know of each other, at least hear about in passing. Minthara having never met Jarlaxle would still know of the Bregan D'aerthe and the trade they brought via her house.
Gale of Waterdeep probably is blissfully unaware how close he was to another Baenre, since Jarlaxle set up his merc group in Waterdeep and Luskan among other places in the underbelly of the Sword Coast. Waterdeep Dragon Heist has him as one of the possible antagonists and his whole plan was to use the money from the heist to bribe his way into governmental power in Luskan and the Lord's Alliance.
I think it would've been cool to have banter between Minthara and Gale of him mentioning Waterdeep and Minthara telling him her cousin Jarlaxle has a foothold there and that his merc group has a history of smuggling Netherese artifacts. Food for thought.
