Chapter One: The seas that beacon me

According to my calculations, Pretty Freckles said to me, "I've seen the end of summer…" Sailor Sarah looked up over at him. Her yellow hair grew down her back, long and proud. Her eyes of ocean blue was both serene and dedicated. "What do you mean, Pretty Freckles?" Sailor Sarah wasn't the ONLY one paying attention. She had Bret Agebald and Bret-Bradon Thomas to worry about. They were identical twins. Both with reddish-looking hair and deep, dark satin eyes. Those Sagitarrius twins are LOOKING at me again, big brother, Sailor Sarah whined. They were over the fence, beyond the grave of Sailor Sarah's mother, Eli Weisiel. Pretty Freckles guarded his six-year-old sister with huge pride and malice. He had a football in his hand. He tossed it their way. "Care to make friends, Alluluia?" The two looked over at their Sharewood Shire. They were hobbits forming over the world around them, simply grazing the path of dreams her Soul resonated. SHE was a moral girl, half human/ Nephilim originally. Her elder brother noticed this. That her path in-between ear to ear held a whistle of Tidus from Final Fantasy X she seemed all too endevouring to escape. Pretty Freckles was an imaginary summoner from a nearby village of the Hobbits called Fal'Cie. She looked upon herself with pride and dedication. Imagianry summoners are summoners in training in the art of futuristic music and moggle music of summoning. She told me long ago one she had a vision or a deep, dark dream of a purple panda with its frown on its face: a Final Fantasy moogle. I could already see that the moogle was a bad omen for the dream by the way the dream kept counting down. I wound up loooking at a deserted village from that dream completely decorated in darkness and shadows. I was on my knees trying to rise when gravity set in a prevented me from rising to my feet. I managed to get to the moogle, and it chirped" "You've pasted the test, I see." It smiled. I looked at the moogle an instanat trying to ask for the Village of Dr. Gero, only to see the moogle say, "WE shall REDEEM you, Selena Gomezdia." The dream ended. I woke up with eyes open. My world has never been the same since.

ONE

things I do eack day: I am fantacizing on riding a chocobo. Okay, well, my well water's a little jacked up. I have no idea that Odin was wathcing me play pretend by myself as old as I was; 37, and still playing and remembering the long, lost years of childhood. I have paranoid-delusional scizhorprenia. It's been in my family since before I was born. Everyday I get up, I continue to battle the scizhorprenia by takong medicine and watching my diet. I'm six, my childhood self says. In my head, I see her talking to me. She is Marlene from Final Fantasy VII. Tifa! she says. Tifa is the girl I would imagine she liked. Her real name I named her was Leita-Jay, after my first daughter I had as a Dran named Merlina under the spell of a sorcerer named Master when I was 11. Story goes, Leita, my daughter resembled Mina of Sailor Moon and Momaru (Leita) of Sailor Jupiter, her natural sign. SHE wanted me to detroy the world using my imagination. I never did. I resisted somehow and forgot she even existed. For those of you who don't know, a Dran is a man or a woman born half-duman/demon Dragon descent. Bahamut never liked them. He was the SAME Bahamut of Final Fantasy IX, as I found out years later when the game came out. I was Prophet Muhammad. Me and Wise Man (Master) of the descent of the Dran? Dragon family. Him being son, me being niece/nephew of the same Scorpio uncle called Randolph Smith, the legendary Bahamut.

My first grade teacher, (IN state of mind, anyway), was Mrs. Wyche. SHE never liked me when she knew me in the fourth and fifth grade. I was an outcast. But I was a thinker and an iamgianry artist of my own, constantly reading and writing stories in my meantime, just staying to myself. I was always made fun of. I was a "fourth-grade nothin'/nobody to my classmates. My friends were more enemies than anything, and the one friend I did have was only a memory away. I remember briefly "Tales of the Fourth-Grade Nothing" by Judy Blume. How so much my life was like that.

I can see the Dream. It is my imagery given to me by Ouranous, god of Heaven after striving to acquire monopoly to the term "Imagery" as my own poltical reference in naming and defining myself. He never forgot. He wrote it down in sorloin, and gave me a portion of it. The Imagery in which we will called "Valefor" after Valefor from Final Fantasy X, suggested that the Dream I was having was envisioning the world of Legend, the Movie, my Uncle Randoplph's favorite movie, I supposed. I was Persephone, and the little hobbit, Frodo Baggins, from the Lord of the Rings as I later found out, was my guardian. He told me not to touch the Unicorn? Pegasus, it was a sacred animal. What's this? A reinactment…Frodo was using a moogle flute found in Final Fantasy IX in order to explain the consquences of not paying attention to someone else's warning. The reinactment was a vivid Charge Fantasy, my Uncle called it in which would engulf its reader/ visionary as a spectrum and let them see the world of Choas in action. The reinactment was of Legend, after the girl would lose her soul to giving away the Uncorn horn and causing Darkness to sprad across the Labyrinth; She had cut it off at the end and became the Soul of Man, mine. I was Persephone, and I could see she only did what she did only because she knew better. SHE was the child-like Empress off the Never-Ending Story--the Princess of Dreams, herself. SHE was also Princess Camillie in Finding Nemo, or Little Nemo: Adventures in Sliumberland. MY counterpart? No-- only an illusion thought up by the gypsy, Esmerelda, off of Disney's Hunchback of Notre Dame, also my Spirit. I wear a tambourine off of the imaginary Dream vision of my old Hunchback of Notre Dame bookbag I used to have when I was a child. I was Esmereldo, the exact opposite of Esmerelda. She would laugh. She was as sweet as apple pie, yet wise and VERY Christian. Her accomplice was her husband, Quasimodo, and the three gargoyles of Notre Dame as well as the ones on the old show Gargoyles that used to appear in Walt Disney animation studios on television when I was young. Her favoirties were never spoken, only implied. They were my guardians, and Angels of the Nightingale like Freddy Kreger and Hotaru Tomoe.

i mentioned to my flatmate that i have that extension that flags transphobes so you don't accidentally interact with them and he got personally offended by it. ok its a good thing you dont have it then. go back to watching compilations of racists getting pwned and laughing at 'how bad' their racism is as though that is healthy constructive or even entertaining

Women of SVU - Day 4 - Under the influence of strong medicine, alcohol or edibles

Alexandra Cabot x Reader

AN: Hey everyone!

Sorry about the long wait. Got a lot going on at the moment, and needed some time away to clear everything out.

I’m currently on waiting list to get testosterone/hormones for my transitioning and I’ve waited for almost six months now, so it’s taking quite a toll on me at the moment.

Plus I’m changing location of my job because I hate the current managers and everything is just going very slowly when you have a whole month ahead of you with those people still.

But I am back and I’m planning on writing more than ever!

Sorry about the spam of all the stories and chapters but needed everything transferred before deleting the account.

"Would you say you're a charming man, mr. Brown?", Alex asked as she began her cross examination, looking down in her files. Both you and Olivia scoffed at the way the man's face instantly turned into a smirk. Not to mention the biggest one yet in the four hours the trial had taken so far.

"I would say I'm rather charming yes", he answered and Alex looked up from her papers meeting the man's eyes.

"So you don't have trouble finding women?"

The man shook his head. "No. It has never been an issue"

"Then why rape Bridget Harper?"

"Objection!", the defense called and the judge nodded.

"Withdrawn", Alex quickly said though before the judge could say anything and conitued. "Mr. Brown is it true that miss Harper worked at your firm for almost ten years before you fired her?"

"I didn't fire her, she decided to leave the company herself", he countered and Alex gave a weird smile towards him.

"It's funny you should say that”, she said walking back to her desk. “Because in this e-mail, people's exhibit fourteen, you're using the exact line 'You're fired'. And from her respones, it doesn't give any clue nor indication that she herself put down her resignation", she countered back and mr Broan immedietly froze looking down. He looked down at his fingers and you smirked as you sat next to Olivia.

"I-I didn't mean-"

"She also writes, and I qoute 'You're only firing me because I told you no. And then you raped me" You turned and wathced as Bridget let a tear fall down her cheek. "She's accusing you of raping her"

"I didn't-"

"She told you no. You couldn't take no for an answer so you raped her and fired her for it", Alex said and mr. Brown sighed and looked down. "Nothing further", she said and walked back to her seat.

Right in that moment, mr. Brown turned to one of his people from behind the defense table and one of them suddenly stood from his seat. You immediately noticed the gun in his hand, pointing it at Alex and you stood from your seat and held up your own gun.

“Drop the gun!”, you yelled and the man turned, redirecting his gun towards you. You quickly shot him in his shoulder and everyone screamed and got down on their knees.

Before you could react you heard another gunshot and felt a heavy amount of pain in your own shoulder, falling to the ground. “Y/n!”, Olivia yelled and the shooter was quickly shot down as well. She brought her hand to your shoulder and held the wound tightly.

“Stay with me y/n. Stay with me”

You felt yourself slowly getting tired as you saw the blood floating from your body and onto the wooden floor. You turned your head and saw a wave of blonde. “Y/n? Y/n stay with us”

The last thing you saw was blue eyes and a wave of blonde getting closer to your face.

When you opened your eyes again you saw a small hand in yours and immediately squeezed it as hard as you could but for the small hand it only came as a soft squeeze. “Mom! Mom she’s awake”, a voice yelled and you feel your head already banging.

“Ssshh, easy Noah”, a soft voice said and you turned your head slightly to see your Captain walking towards you from her seat on the couch. “Hey champ, how you feeling?”

You chuckled giving her a nod. “I’m good thanks. What happened?”

“I drove with you to the hospital while Fin drove Alex over here. They’re in the cafeteria getting some coffee”, she said and you sighed turning to Noah who stood next to his mother. You had always adored the boy and you would do anything for him.

“Hey kid”

“Hey auntie y/n”

You chuckled and right there the door opened and you all turned to see Fin and Alex walk in, Kat and Rollins following up. “Hey kid, how are you feeling?”, Fin asked and you chuckled. He always called you kid. No matter where it was.

“I’m fine Fin. My shoulder hurts like hell though”

They all gave you sad smiles and you rolled your eyes. “Don’t give me those pity looks. I’m fine”

They all let out small laughs and your eyes met Alex’s. Oh how you loved her eyes. Sea blue with a hint of choral green.

“Alright miss y/l/n”, a voice suddenly said and you all turned to see the doctor coming in. “You’re awake. How’s the shoulder? Any pain?”

You wanted to be strong. Show your strength to your colleagues, to Alex. You wanted to show it to Noah, showing him you were his strong aunt that could survive anything. But the pain was just too unbearable. So you nodded and moved your neck away from him.

Olivia walked over to Fin and squeezed his shoulder. “We should let her be”, she whispered and Fin nodded. She turned to Kat and Rollins and they both understood the gesture.

They all left the room after goodbyes to you and that left Alex standing alone by the end of the bed. “I will give you some pain relievers, it should hold the pain down for a while”, the doctor said and you nodded. He walked out of the room and you turned meeting Alex’ eyes.

“Hey you”, she whispered and you smiled softly, trying to hold back the tears. She walked over to you and let her hand softly squeeze yours. “God you scared the crap out of me”, she said and you chuckled.

“Sorry. But I’m fine. I’m getting painkillers and I will get better, okay?”

She nodded and gave you a weak smile, your hands tangled together.

When you opened your eyes you immediately noticed you were alone. You turned your head and saw the bright light shine through the curtains. You felt yourself getting light headed, not able to control your own brain. It felt like that anyway.

The door opened and you Olivia walked in, Fin right behind her. “Eeey, my cap and my serg”, you said with a lousy smile. The two shared a look and you held out your hand for Olivia to take.

“How is my beautiful Captain today, mmh?”, you asked and the woman couldn’t stop herself from chuckling.

“I’m fine y/n, how are you?”

“Oh pft! I’m fine!”, you said with a pitched voice and Fin frowned at your behavior. Olivia simply chuckled, happy to see you in a better mood than yesterday.

The door opened again and you widened your eyes at the sight your partner. “Katty. Katty! Oh my god I have missed you so much!”, you said with a wide smile and Kat frowned with a smile at the nickname, turning to Olivia who simply shook her head.

“I’ve missed you too girl”, she said and you smiled wide.

“Oh of course you do. You and I? We are the best partners in New York!”, you said and extended a turned fist towards her. She smiled at the action and extended her own turned fist towards yours, doing your handshake. Up and down, meet in the middle for a fist bump before making a finger gun, firing it off.

The door opened again and Alex walked in, a file in her hands. Your eyes widened and smiled wide. “Alex!”

The blonde turned to you and smiled. “Y/n. How are you feeling?”

“Oh I am so good! I feel like I’m on fire! And that’s not just because of the meds”, you said giving her a wink and Alex’ cheeks reddened at a blush. Kat raised her eyebrows turning to Amanda who looked just as shocked.

“You guys wanna know a secret?”, you asked chuckling, feeling yourself getting higher. “I’m secretly in love with Alex”, you half whispered, holding your hand to the side of your mouth, meeting Kat’s eyes.

Kat widened her eyes, Amanda slamming her palm to her mouth while Fin turned to the others. Olivia turned to Alex who stood frozen in place looking at you.

It had only been a week since the blonde had come to her apartment and confessed her feelings for you. They had talked about it for hours, Alex practically exploding her heart into the apartment.

“But don’t tell her!”, you said obviously to the tension filling up between the others. “She doesn’t feel the same so please don’t”

Kat found herself nodded with a smile. “Of course partner”

You smiled nodding and soon you fell asleep, the meds taking all of your energy out.

The day you went back to work, you had your arm in a sling, your shoulder completely covered in bandages. Kat was the first to notice you as you stepped into the squad room and she stood from her seat faster than ever before.

You groaned at the tightness of her hug, feeling your shoulder complaining at the amount of pressure. “Sorry”, she whispered and you shook your head.

“S’okay”

You made your handshake before you turned and saw Amanda standing ready. You let her hug you as well, though a little softer. “How you feeling?”

“Better. The painkillers are definitely doing their job”, you said and the two women shared a look making you frowned at them. “What?”

“Nothing”, they both said in unison and you raised a perfect eyebrow at them as Amanda walked back to her seat. You shook it off and sat down by your desk, feeling relief wash over your body as you were finally back to work. God how you’ve missed it.

You sat and worked on a few reports for the next hour and you were almost done when you heard the familiar heels sounding through the entire squad room. You turned and met Alex’s eyes and the woman gave you a linear smile.

“Detective. Good to see you back on your feet”, she said and you sat completely tranced in her beauty. And completely unaware of what had happened at the hospital.

“It’s good to be back”, you said in a haste, blinking your eyes and she smiled at you. “I’ve missed working”, you continued.

“Of course you have. You’re a workaholic. Working is what you’re best at”, she said and you froze for a moment looking at her.

“Are you o–“

“Alex. Good you could make it”, Olivia came and interrupted and you watched as the blonde followed the brunette inside.

“You okay?”, a voice sounded through your ears and you turned to Tamin who gave you a soft smile.

“Yeah. Yeah I’m good. Wha... what was that about?”

“You don’t remember?”

You frowned at her quizzed expression and you shook your head gently. You had absolutely no idea what had happened. “What?”

Tamin turned to Rollins who sighed with a nod, telling her you deserved to know. Taming turned back to you who still sat with a frown.

“You were high on meds. You…”, she trailed off.

“I what?”

“You… you confessed your feelings for Alex to me”, she said and you blushed hard.

“Uhm… okay. Well, that’s not that ba–“

“While everyone else was there too”, she continued and this time you froze.

“You… you mean…”, you were unable to finish and both Tamin and Rollins nodded their heads.

All the color suddenly drained from your face and you turned towards Liv’s office and instantly met Alex’s eyes.

“Another?”

You turned to the sound and noticed the bartender standing in front of you, looking down at your now empty glass of scotch.

“Yeah sure”

The bartender took the bottle and poured, you watching the liquid fall into the glass.

“You sure that’s healthy for you?”, a voice suddenly asked and you turned to see Olivia standing next to you.

“Well, it’s too late now”, you said and Olivia rolled her eyes with a smile and sat down next to you, the bartender immediately noticing.

“Captain?”

Olivia shook her head with a smile at the question before turning to you. “You should talk to Alex. She’s been absolutely out her mind since you got shot”, she said and you chuckled.

“Really? She’s not scared since I basically confessed my heart out in front of everyone?”, you said and Olivia chuckled.

“Well you’re not the only one who’s confessed their heart out”

You frowned at her and Olivia smiled. “She adores you y/n. She absolutely adores you. Go talk to her”

You sat and stared at your drink for a moment debating your thoughts before standing from your seat. “Thanks Liv”

Olivia smiled at the kiss she received on her cheek before watching you leave the bar faster than ever before. She smiled and looked down at your still full glass and turned to the bartender. “Give me her tab”

It was just past ten when Alex heard a knocking on her door, frowning at the sudden guest at this time. She stood from the coach, turning the tv down before walking over to the front door.

When she opened she met your eyes and froze. “Y/n?”

You stood still staring into her eyes and Alex felt herself blush under your gaze. You stood for a solid minute staring into each other’s eyes, her blue ones the most beautiful ones you ever laid your eyes on.

“You want to come in?”, Alex suddenly asked and you nodded walking in. You noticed the tv and smiled.

“Say yes to the bride”, you read and turned to the prosecutor who blushed.

“What? I like the program”, she said and you smiled.

“It’s okay, I’m not judging. I like it too”, you said, trying to make her feel better about her little guilty pleasure. You caught yourself staring into her eyes again and blushed hard clearing your throat.

“May I… May I watch it… with you?”

Alex smiled at the small voice you used to ask and nodded. “I’d love that”

You smiled wide and sat down in the couch, Alex sitting next to you. You were about five minutes in when Alex began commenting on the dresses, and you laughed every time. Either they were too ugly or too big or just didn’t suit the woman who was wearing it.

“Wow Alex, if I knew you would be so savage with this program, I would have watched it with you sooner”

“Shut up”, she said hitting your arm and you laughed making her smile as well.

“This is nice”, you said after a while and she smiled. She laid her head on your shoulder, her hand squeezing your arm and you felt yourself blush.

“You know, don’t you?”, you asked into the silence and Alex turned to you, her eyes meeting yours. Your faces were so close now and you felt your heart beat faster.

“Know what?”

You knew she was challenging you. You could see it in her eyes. She wanted you to say it.

“That I have feelings for you”, you whispered and Alex stared into your eyes for a while, her hand coming to softly stroke your cheek.

“You should know too then”, she said and you furrowed your eyebrows.

“Know what?”

“That I have feelings for you too”

Before you could get a word out, she brought your face closer and brought your lips together in a chaste kiss.

rohan’s backstory part 1: alone on an island

hey everybody. here’s rohan’s backstory; at least the first part out of three. i thank everyone who liked and reblogged rohan so far, i appreciate this. it means so much to me. so, without further addo, it’s story time!

When Robyn and Hannah were on their their honeymoon at the canaries, they’re left stranded during a sea trip on a seemeingly unreachable island, not before being brutally shot by who turns out to be the last drowned agent, who received the order from Fuli to terminate Scarlet and Bullet, or every member of team ceartais in case of failure of the “snow day” attack. Robyn survived thanks to her healing factor, but Hannah died from blood loss. Robyn was distraught, but when she went to hug her, the steel blood nanites interacedt with each other and instinctively merged to repair Hannah’s damage. This triggered a literal merge in robyn and hannah’s bodies, who then waked up into one being. At first being shocked, the two wives managed to separate each other and kept living on that island for seven days.

During those days, Robyn and hannah couldn’t resist being separated, so, once per day, they decided to fuse together for a few hours and then separate back in fear of being stuck into one. This led to the discovery of unkown abilities from both girls, secrets and stuff being kept hidden due to a mental link and hidden traits none of them were aware of: for example, robyn became more romantic and loving than she usually was, hannah discovered she got her sight back and could control whether she went blind or not and, most importantly, both hybrids became fertile. Unfortunately, said secrets the couple held were discovered during the links and once a day, Robyn and Hannah would end up having arguments and fighting with each other, before apologizing temporarely. On the fifth day though, after so much time considered impossible to bear for normal beings, Robyn and Hannah understood that their fusion (whom they nicknamed Rohan by combining their names) and all the troubles thew went through didn’t divide them, but kept them united more than ever, since none of the two ever gave up on the other; they apologized permanentely that day and promised to never lose love and hope for each other and the world in general, even at their darkest hour.

That same day, a small comet splashed into the water waking up the girls. Since Hannah was too tired from everything she went through to check, Robyn went into the water and picked the melon sized rock. After smashing it to check if there was anything suspicious, she noticed six colored fragments popped out of the rock and got all of them in her hands at the same time. What happened next could be described as raw immense energy flowing rapidly through Robyn’s body. Robyn squealed with horror and she would have been disintegrated if Hannah hadn’t woken up and run in her help and fused once again into rohan to stabilize the immense energy. It didn’t take long for them to figure out those were fragments of the infinity gems, since they wathced the recent marvel movies and got informed later about their story on the internet (despite never reading any comic book related to them) which granted them even more superpowers than before. After the fusion, the girls managed to handle easily the fragments while being separated and fused. What they couldn’t understand was why all the six fragments dropped by them out of all the living beings in the universe.

The seventh day their killer returned with the local police, trying to get rid once and for all of the superheroines; unluckily for him, Robyn and Hannah thought out a plan when they saw him arrive and managed to trick him and reveal his assassination plot and allignment by using the mind fragment. The criminal was taken into custody and the zootopian police was allerted. Robyn and Hannah then went back home and were greeted by all their friends and family, who heard about them being stranded for a week immediately after the capture of the criminal. The next days, Robyn and Rannah decided to meet in secret and train with their newfound powers and form and agreed to reveal everything at the right moment.

#3yrsago Walt Disney Records Legacy Collection: 20 hours' worth of rarities, 12 books' worth of history

The Legacy Collection plunders the deepest depths of the Disney sound archive to collect, with unprecedented completeness, the audio histories of 11 classic animated films from each era of the Disney Studios, from Lady and the Tramp and Aristocats to Little Mermaid and the Lion King to Toy Story and Wreck-It Ralph, with one more CD devoted just to Disneyland. Each disc contains the full score of a film from opening to closing credits, unreleased rarities, and bonus material. Then there's the books.

Each of the 12 discs comes with a rich illustrated book, featuring new art by Lorelay Bove. The books include liner notes in which composers, musicians, animators and other production personnel recount previously untold oral histories of the music that underpins Disney's animation, unifying it every bit as much as the storytelling and art styles.

There's more than 47,000 words of liner notes in those pages, and more than 20 hours' worth of audio on the discs. Listening to the demos in which the legends of Disney music, from Ashman and Menken to the Shermans give notes to singers whose music I've thrilled to literally all my life is an incredible experience, like getting in a time machine.

The archivists who produced this collection went beyond all reason and commercial consideration in pulling this together (I know a few of them). They are part of the trufan machine at Disney who gild releases that celebrate craft and pride, spending money that isn't needed to maximize profit, but is definitely required to maximize art. Disney is full of those people, they're like the people who joined Google because "don't be evil" mattered to them. Like those googlers, these Disney personnel don't harbor any illusions about the company's complement of people who don't share their beliefs (or at least, wouldn't let them get in the way of profits). But they're there because they believe it and it matters to them. People with a sense of mission make everything worth caring about in this world.

The 20 hours of audio in this collection tell a story. Not the story in the movies -- the story of the movies. The story of how successive generations of composers, musicians and storytellers taught their progeny all they knew, and of how their progeny ran with that knowledge, expanding the art, bringing in material from the stage and other studios and pop.

I've been listening to this for months, and every so often I've gotten the discs down off my shelves and paged through Bove's exquisitely painted miniatures, illustrations that have a direct lineage to Mary Blair, and let myself experience the work of people who cared about what they did and changed the lives of millions of others in so doing. I've owned a lot of Disney records over the years, starting with a scratched and worn-out "Official Album of Disneyland and Walt Disney World," but nothing, nothing comes close to this.

The folks at Disney music have posted some of the unreleased material for your listening pleasure, and provided us with some exclusive liner notes excerpts.

Here's "The Chimpanzoo," a track that didn't make it into Mary Poppins:

This never-heard Sherman Brothers track was originally part of the "high tea" scene at Uncle Albert's place. It describes a zoo where the humans are in cages and the animals walk around, wathcing them curiously. Walt Disney cut it to keep it from overshadowing "I Love to Laugh."

From The Lion King's liner notes, producer Don Hahn explains how they cast an expatriate South African singer working as a carhop to feature in the soundtrack:

Lebo M was a South African singer, songwriter who had worked with Hans (Zimmer) on the soundtrack of a few films. He’d been parking cars in L.A. to make ends meet. He was going to be the perfect voice for the film, just one thing: Lebo had disappeared… as if by fate, Lebo dropped by to say hello just hours before we all arrived. Hans pulled him off the street and put him in front of a microphone. There wasn’t even a glass divider to separate him from the room full of engineers and filmmakers eating Chinese food.

Hans played “Circle of Life” for us for the first time. We listened to it and then the directors, Rob Minkoff, Roger Allers and I huddled in the corner to talk. Hans thought he was getting fired. Instead, it was magical and we wanted more. This time they were after a cry in the wilderness that would beacon the animals to Pride Rock in the opening scene. It was a “John the Baptist” thing, only African.” Lebo stepped up and gave his now famous cry that opens the movie and lives on in every stage version of the show since.

Here, composer Alan Menken tells the story of how he discovered his composing partner, Howard Ashman, was dying of AIDS:

Our mission was to create a new animated musical that could sit on the shelf alongside the earlier Disney classics, like Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Cinderella, Peter Pan, Sleeping Beauty and so many others. In my heart I embraced this mission like I had no other previously in my life... The AIDS crisis was in full bloom, and none of us knew how this could affect our lives and those of our children. And I was unaware of how dark and imminent the cloud was over my dear collaborator, Howard.

At the Governor’s Ball, following the Oscar ceremony, in which we had won Best Song for “Under the Sea” and I had won Best Score, Howard and I sat with our statuettes at the table and he said, “I want you to know I’m really happy tonight. And when we get back to New York we have to talk.” I said, “Talk? Talk about what?” And he insisted that we would wait to talk after we got back.

A few days later he told me that he was sick and all the things I had been trying to ignore and not acknowledge, now came crashing down around me… But, at the time, the thing I most remember was Howard saying, “I’m so glad you won the Best Score Oscar and I’m so glad we’ve had this huge success. Now I know you’re taken care of.”

Finally, Randy Newman explains how he came to write his score for Toy Story:

I believe I was given the job because John (along with Chris Montan) at Disney Music felt that the picture, in that it was the first computer-animated feature, might benefit by having an orchestral score. John told me he liked the music I wrote for Ragtime and for The Natural and the orchestral arrangements I did for some of my songs. I said, “That’s it? And the rest of it? Rohan’s backstory

Beware that the read more option may not work, both in the app and in the computer

History in the TAS world: when Robyn and Hannah were on their their honeymoon at the canaries, they’re left stranded during a sea trip on a seemeingly unreachable island, not before being brutally shot by who turns out to be the last drowned agent, who received the order from Fuli to terminate Scarlet and Bullet, or every member of team ceartais in case of failure of the “snow day” attack. Robyn survived thanks to her healing factor, but Hannah died from blood loss. Robyn was distraught, but when she went to hug her, the steel blood nanites interacedt with each other and instinctively merged to repair Hannah’s damage. This triggered a literal merge in robyn and hannah’s bodies, who then waked up into one being. At first being shocked, the two wives managed to separate each other and kept living on that island for seven days.

The right time came the year later when Nick organized a memorial evening for the anniversary of the “snow day” attack being foiled, but also as the anniversary of his parents’, Robin sr and Marian Wlde, death. After Robyn and Hannah gave a speech about how tragic the wave was, but nobody never lost hope against such a disaster, they fused right in front of everybody. Everybody was shocked, but not as much as hearing what happened at the canaries, about their infinity-based powers and about Robyn and Hannah keeping the secret and training their new abilities in secret for about a year. After Rohan answered everybodys questions about her, she finished her components’ speech by saying that as a gift for everybody who loved them, cared about them and would never stop, she would have made something impossible; then she snapped her right hand and the whole universe was engulfed by white light for a second. After the snap, Rohan fell unconcious to the floor, unable to move and intangible, but at the same time everyone discovered what the snap did when robyn’s dead siblings, Ryan Ronan and Reginald materialized in front of them from a small whirlind of dust, then Robyn’s grandparents came along materializing in the whirlind, followed by Hannah’s eponymus grandma, Little John, and old family friend, the former mob boss Mr Big and his guard Koslov and ,in the end, victoria todd, the biological mother of robyn’s sister luna. The snap had taken back to life everyone who died between the incursions of the underworld trio, from the last days of the wave disaster, all in perfect health, having aged as if nobody died and with full memories of what happened. Unfortunately, rohan was still unconcious and immaterial and the only way they could carry her was through an electrostatic box invented by their old friend Olivia which was able to catch all the molecules. They brought her to the mayor office believing it woud have been a safe place.

After nearly eight hours, Rohan started to show signs of recomposing and gaining her conscience back, she would have been back in ten minutes, but unfortunatelty, there wasn’t time to celebrate, as a giant rift opened in the sky above the city hall bringing out a giant starship. Everyone knew that sign was no good and instinctively hid Rohan, hoping no one would find her until she was back. After a few seconds they hid her in the boiler room and squadron of eight green, strange looking aliens smashed into the roof inside the mayor’s office. They identified them as skrulls: alien mutants who could camouflage themselves as any other living species and mimic superpowers. The drop team was lead by a skull called Kl’RT, although he wanted to be called Super Skrull; he claimed to be in search of the fragments of the infinity gems to rebuild the skrull empire and bring glory to it. Nobody knew what was the green leader talking about and remained silent, but when the super skrull mentioned that six fragments dropped into that dimension and listed some of their abilities, after hearing one of said powers was to bring back to life anyone with a snap, everyone (especially Robyn and Hannah’s friends, Kodi, Kion, Olivia and Alice and Robyn’s sister luna) immediately connected the dots and locked the door, while managing to fend off the skrulls; unfortunately the skrull were no match for them, beating everyone and leaving them unconcious, except for Robyn’s mother, Judy and Hannah’s mother, Skye, who they wanted to use as a bait to lure their daughters out.

Meanwhile, Robyn and Hannah found themselves into a strange world composed by a large speck of marble and some ruins, greeted by six spirits, each one colored as the fragments. Those spirits identified themselves as the infinity gems, leaving the married couple astonished for two reasons: 1) they couldn’t believe something tecnically invented could exist, 2) they discovered to be invented charachters from a fictional universe themselves by talking to the spirits. The most important discovery though was why they had basically all the power in the universe, or the multiverse after their discovery of multiple dimensions: in another universe, a group of the most powerful superheroes called the Illuminati, formed by six powerful superheroes of the marvel universe: Iron Man, a genius playboy philantropist millionare turned hero, namor, king of atlantis and the sea, Mister Fantastic, leader or the fantastic 4, Professor x, protector of all mutantkind, Doctor Strange, the sorcerer supreme and Black Bolt, king of the inhumans. They used the gems, wielded by Captain America, the first avenger, to avoid the collision of their universe with a parallel one, but since time ago it was declared the gems could not act together this led to the destrucion of all the gems, especially the time gem whose fragments were scattered through time. In the end Robyn and Hannah learned that the fragments couldn’t find a better possessor over time, but then the infinity spirits found them: during the time of the wave, they were living in a corrupt world, on the brink of collapse, where everybody lost itself, but not them; Robyn and Hannah stayed true to themselves despite all the madness such a disaster could bring, had the power to go through such a situation for so long, they lost loved ones, their minds were torn, but they never gave up, neither stopped loving each other and, literally, they had superpowers. Those feats were more than enough for the spirits to consider the two hybrids worthy. And that was why Robyn and Hannah had the powers of infinity. They thanked the spirits and those greeted the wives back, claiming they could have changed everything. Then they started gaining their concioussness and physical form back.

When they woke up into Rohan, she felt a giant headache and then she heard the scream of Judy and Skye being held. She ran out of the boiler room, only to find everyone lying numb on the floor, except Judy, Skye and the skrulls. Kl’Rt debreifed them about the situation and ordered them to hand him the gems. He was unfortunate not to know he shouldn’t have messed up with the giant hybrid: rohan seemingly gave in, asking for her mothers to be freed; the request was fulfilled, at the terms that Rohan should have gone with the skrulls. As Rohan started advancing to the leader, she quickly started a fight with him, punching the green baddie in the chest and breaking his ribcage; the other skrulls quickly dropped into the fight only to have their ass handed by rohan, one with subdued by rohan’s fighting skills, the other six soldiers were killed, each one by a different power of the fragments. The Super Skrull was not willing to give up and plummeted onto her enemy, seemingly gained the upper hand, until Rohan reunited the fragments into a single gem on her fist and punched it against the super skrull, this time though Kl’Rt was invested by a surge of energy he couldn’t contain. As Rohan kept pressing, the skrull’s body kept flowing energy within, at the point it couldn’t contain anymore. Rohan finished him by blowing his body and soul up. The explosion also blew up the roof of the city hall, but, fortunately, no one else was harmed. The helicopters with the journalist were quick to arrive on the scene when they saw the explosion and started asking questions to rohan. Thinking about what the spirits said, Rohan deicided to take a risky gamble: tired of hiding secrets and knowing said secrets would have been discovered afterwards by die-hard conspirationists, Robyn and Hannah unfused right in front of everybody, revealing to the whole Zootopia their secret identities, their fusion nature and told everything happened inside the city hall: from the drop squad breaking in to the leader blowing up. They clamied to have done so because they felt zootopia needed to know the truth and didn’t want to cover up everything with some half-assed excuse. The only thing they didn’t give away was their companions secret identities, which were safe… or so they thought.

Over the next week following the skrull assault, zootopia was torn in two: the politicians wanted to declare superheroes and superpowered mammals illegal, while the public fought in rallies, protests and riots standing by their thought that zootopia didn’t need control, nor order, but just to be safe and free, no matter who protected them, also chastising the governement, calling it corrupt, unfair and old. While there were tensions inside the wilde family and their friends, everybody did their best to comfort each other, especially Robyn and Hannah, who received the most hate. Nick was not willing to give up on her daughter despite all the accuses against him, but every attempt to calm down the city was vain. But suddenly, a chance of redemption popped up: unbeknownst to everyone, the skrull that wasn’t defeated by Rohan by the power of the infinity fragments, silently escaped on the ship (which was invisible the whole time) and this time he brought back up: another alien race, called the kree. The two armies broke in the middle of a protest, capturing everybody: men, women, politicians, normal people, kids; then, they called in a massive ship/orbital cannon, capable of destroying an entire planet. The skrull threatened Rohan to come out and surrender, otherwise he would have erased the city from the planet. Rohan was trapped: either she went there and die for the whole city or she would have fought at the risk of losing many innocent lives. Believing she runied the city and everyone’s life, in the end she did come out and was ready to die for who she loved and seeking for redemption. She waved goodbye to her family and friends and she faced a public execution, where there kree leader, Ronan, blasted her to smithereens with his hammer.

The skrull then went to pick up the fragments, gloating over his revenge and claiming to be the only true keeper of the universe; but the infinity spirits had decided: Robyn and Hannah were the only worthy to keep all that power. They immediately rejected their impostor and reformed Rohan form the ashes; this time though Rohan was determined to end to skrull threat once and for all. she called in her allies: the famous team ceartais: andraste, spitfire, roar, the mage and yurei (respectively Luna, Olivia, Kion, Kodi and Alice), the ZPD, the MCB and the task force Camelot; no matter who the enemies were or what others thought about her, she was going to end everything.

After a long 10 hours battle, Rohan, ceartais and their allies finally defeated the skrull/kree army, not without casualties: almost 50 percent of the city was dead. Ronan, the kree leader, though was not willing to lose against a bunch of animals and in an act of rage, he activated the cannon at full power: he wanted to wipe out the whole planet if he couldn’t conquer it. When the cannon fired, every hope seemed lost, but rohan, uncapable of giving up and now unwilling to let everyone die, concentrated and unlocked the full power of the infinity fragments enetring the infinity state: she had all the powers in the universe and could have been able to alter the whole structure of the universe itself; after nullifying the cannon’s beam, she completly erased the cannon itself out of existence; then, after facing ronan one last time and killing him when he cheated and attempted for his loved ones lives, she brought back from the dead everyone who died in the recent skirmish and recreated back the entire city: every building that was knocked out or demolished during the wave or the skrull/kree invasion was fully rebuilt. Then Rohan passed out again, falling unconcious and incorporeal, this time only for two hours.

When she woke up, there was her family celebrating her victory, alongside almost the rest of Zootopia; only a few mammals still distrusted her. But soon a problem came out: the energy emitted by Rohan in the infinity state started to give superpowers to random citizens, no matter if they were rich or poor. To solve this problem, Rohan asked for a super’s therapy centre to be created, so that powered mammals could be able to control their powers to fit better into society, without class or power differences and for who wnated to become a superhero. She also asked for every super that would come to be registered as an ally of the zpd, but able to fight free, without law many restrictions. At last, she said that every super was free to mantain it’s secret identity if he or she wanted. Every request was taken with joy from everyone, aside the opposers; that same day team ceartais followed Rohan’s example and revealed their secret identities to zootopia, without fear. Wether this situation was good or bad it’s still discussed today, but two things were for sure: Robyn and Hannah did indeed change everything and even if the alien threat was defeated, many other villains would come out to take the fragments for themselves or for other villanous purposes and those bad guys weren’t just some vigilante level threat: they were superpowered and even came from other universes. Things had to changes so Rohan’s and ceartais’ arsenal grew up, combining the latest tech with the infinity powers, while staying true to their vigilante nature.

In the end, since the “revival” (how the skrull/kree invasion, their subsequent defeat and the revitalization of Zootopia was dubbed) Rohan, despite being a fusion has gained full full rights and it’s considered a civilian just like everyone, Robyn and Hannah are recognized as superstars, just like their teammates, but even with all the fame, the two hybrids live a fairly humble life with their eight children, while also protecting zootopia and other dimensions from evil forces.
