fic idea- batboys vs. Period cramp simulator

so, I am part of the half of the population that has a uterus. And as such once a month I am visited by the red demon, that makes my stomach like it's some how both a bottle of squirting ketchup and giving birth to a flipping jellyfish. To cope I watch videos of men using the period cramp simulator and laugh at their screams of pain.

So, I'm sitting on the couch, trying to ignore the deep rooting ache in my lower stomach, a cold pad on my head, heated pad on my stomach and back, eating all the chocolate ice-cream I want (don't you dare tell me that I shouldn't have caffeine, I'm eating all the treats I want), after popping advil like candy for the past few days, and thought; "how would the bat brothers would react to the cramp simulator."

So, the fic would start with spoiler asking the boys (dick, Tim and Jason, [Duke opted out and they didn't want to use the machine on an 8-year-old so Damien is also on the side-lines]), what they know about periods, and they know next too nothing. Oracle starts explaining the basics, what's in the blood, why it happens, and how it works. Dick and Tim getting more and more nervous as she continues.

Nightwing; so wait...it's like contractions? Like labor?

O: the uterus is a muscle, and the isn't just going to fall out.

RR: so it's like churning?

Spoiler: yep, best I can describ it is like a bunch of knife fingers clawing st the inside of your stomach.

Black bat:*holding thumb over start button on the pain simulator* ready?

N: not anymore....

RH: just press start already, I've been tortured and then blown up this can't be any worse.

After 5 minutes of cursing, cries of pain and stomach clutching, Cass reveals they were only on level 3 of 10.

After a wave of disbelief, and claims they the girls were in no way walking around like that. Steph puts a simulator on and sits calmly at a level 8 while Tim is curled up shaking on the floor next to her at a 4.

The brothers try to go through the whole day hooked up to the simulators, training, lunch, case work, patrol. They try to Google things that help with period pain. Needless to say they get pissed at how little information their is, Bruce joins in this part as he wants for know how help his daughters/niece if needed. Tim gets especially pissed at the "Shouldn't have caffeine" thing.

They don't last long when challenged to go to level ten....

In the end, Dick vows to treat his sisters like queens on their time of the month. Jason just said his respect for them has grown tenfold. Tim works on giving all uterus owning employees at WE three-days of menstrual leave a month. Bruce tells the girls that if they ever need a break because their cramps get debilitating, say the word and they'll be excused from anything.

Duke is just glad he chickened out and Damien stares at the simulators and swears he will concur them once he is old enough. Much to Tim dick and Jason's horror.

batman: track and field au

author's note: i just miss track and field varsity even though i wasnt even that good... and ive been thinking about batman track and field au for FOREVER. so today i wrote a bit 📝

things u need to know: bruce is not batman. he's a coach at a school where the rest of the justice league teaches. yes, they're still the justice league. and yes, his robins still end up as vigilantes. jason is 15 in this; the joker hasn't gotten to him yet. also i added some characters ahead of the timeline bc i love them :/

Jason stumbles over from the finish line, grinning and sweat-drenched. And then his face screws up in sudden distress, and he promptly wobbles and collapses onto the hot stadium mat.

A half-formed sound of alarm—

Bruce leaps over the bleacher railing and sprints.

A poor, well-meaning race official gets there first, but Bruce shoulders him roughly aside and crouches by Jason. Jason has turned on his side, holding his right knee tight to his chest and making little pained gasps.

It tears at his heart. “Jason,” Bruce says.

Jason’s eyes are screwed shut, and he says nothing, but one of his hands reach blindly in Bruce’s direction and Bruce grasps it tightly.

“You were terrific, chum.” He squeezes, and feels the tremor that goes through his son. “Stretch your leg out for me.”

Jason shakes his head. “Hurts—”

“I know. I know. Please, Jay.”

It’s slow, and excruciating, but between the two of them they manage to get Jason sitting up, his leg extended straight against the ground. One hand of Bruce’s presses down firmly on the knee, and the other pushes his foot to flex, the metal spikes of Jason’s shoes digging hard into the callused flesh of Bruce’s palm. Jason leans back on his hands, spread flat against the ground, head tilted up to open, cloudless sky, exhaling drawn-out, shaky breaths.

The speakers blare out the next events—second call for Male C’s 400-meter hurdles, and third call for Female B’s high jump. The left side of the crowd begins clapping on beat for their star javelin thrower as she rocks back on her feet, once, twice, and begins bounding forward. Bruce makes a displeased noise. He hopes his throwers remember to pay attention.

A mosquito buzzes by Bruce’s ear and he shakes his head sharply to drive it away. The sweat has been beading at his hairline all throughout, and now it rolls torturously slow down his face. As his hands are otherwise occupied, he makes no move to wipe it, and does his best to ignore the unpleasant sensation.

At last, Jason’s breathing evens out. He tugs his leg gingerly away from Bruce’s hold, cheeks flushed with exertion and, doubtless, embarrassment. “Thanks.”

Bruce sits back on his haunches and wipes the sweat off his face. “Ready to stand?”

Jason raises a hand, wincing as he tests the muscles of his leg. “One sec.”

Bruce nods shortly. Jason safe, his attention wanders over to the bleachers. Tim, thank God, is dragging Damian away from the high railing. Dick and Cass are eating lunch with much avidity—Dick’s best event, high jump, had just ended before Jason’s, and Cass seems to have just returned from shot put. Duke and Stephanie are nowhere in sight, and for a moment Bruce is alarmed, but then he spots them at the stage and relaxes. Duke must have won his high jump—he stands on the highest podium, and even from here Bruce can tell he’s grinning—and Stephanie is clicking away on the school camera next to the official photographer.

As he watches Stephanie turn the camera backward and attempt to take a selfie with Duke, there’s a tap on his thigh. Bruce extends his hand without looking and grasps the hand that interlocks with his, pulling Jason up with ease.

Bruce glances at Jason, and notes how he squints against the glaring afternoon. “Remember to reapply your sunscreen when you get back.”

Jason rolls his eyes. “Not everyone is ghost-white like you.”

“You do not have to be ghost-white to get skin cancer.”

Jason grumbles, but when Bruce raises an imperious eyebrow at him, he raises his hands in surrender. “Fine. Whatever you say, boss.”

“Good. And, Jay...” Bruce reaches out, tentative, and puts a hand on his shoulder. “I meant it. You did terrific.”

Jason beams, bright enough to outshine the day, and something in Bruce’s chest uncurls into warmth.

I drew Wayne and Lucien 7 years into the future! This is how I imagine they would be in high-school. they both grow their hair out and rebel/are non-conformists, but in very different ways

Wayne spends a majority of his time at the Junk Yard (His outfit is from the episode Picket Picket btw). He skips school a lot to go to the junkyard. If he kind of looks like a dirt bag, thats because he is lol. I imagine Dirty Joe and his friends are kind of a bad influence on Wayne (he probably got his piercings from Dave). Wayne sort of becomes grungy for lack of better word. he becomes a bit of an edgelord.

Lucien I imagine, totally mellows out and chills out a lot. He sort of is inspired by the hippie movement of the 1960s . I noticed that some people think Lucien would be a preppy kid , but honestly, Lucien's core values have always been peace, equality for all and animal welfare. So honestly, I totally think he would be a hippie or at least inspired by them, lol (ive been through that phase once too. hehe.)

hopefully I can make some designs for Mari, Wendy and Tony sometime.

Here is a drawing based on a headcanon I had.

Headcanon: "Wayne had a boyfriend when he was in middle school that he kept secret from his family. His parents did force them to break up, though"

Short fanfic based on this drawing:

Wayne had been in his room for over an hour. No matter what Wayne tried to think about, he just could not stop crying. Wayne almost never cried. Why was he crying only now? I mean, sure, he had never stood up to his parents. But Wayne was tougher than that. He was too tough to cry.

But Wayne knew why he was crying. He was crying because of...him. Wayne loved him so much. He was one of the only people Wayne thought understood him. The two would bond over their love of cars, and they would make gifts for each other out of scrap. They were perfect for each other, or at least, that's how Wayne saw It.

So, for him to be forced out of Wayne's life by two people, who could care less about Wayne's well-being, broke him. Wayne hadn't begged so much in his life. He needed him. He was the only kid Wayne had. Wayne hated his parents for doing that, hated is an understatement, he loathed his parents for doing that. Especially his dad, oh boy he fucking hated his dad. But why does It matter? The boy was already moving to Kentucky anyway.

Cramp Twins headcanons! Mostly about my favorite blue/purple psycho

Wayne's not only the best dancer in town but also an amazing singer

You'll never see him do it though

After Wayne found Lucien's missing owl toy, he secretly cherishes his purple cat toy

The boys sleep with their twins toys, it makes them feel more connected

The boys don't know this but their parents know they do this when they check their rooms at night

The toys are often on their beds or dressers when not being used

It warms their parents hearts

Wayne actually has a full head of hair, but due to the art style, it looks like he doesn't

Wayne has a pet he keeps at Dirty Joe's

Lucien's very upset about this once he finds out

Dorothy can't do anything about it since it's not near the house

Ironically, Wayne's a far better eco person than Lucien is

Lucien obviously doesn't believe this, even when he's seen evidence of it

He refuses to believe that someone like his brother, who could care less about the environment, is far better at saving it than him!

It's more of a subconscious thing for Wayne

Due to Wendy and her weirdo friends' behavior, Wayne is turned off by girls entirely. Even Wendy's personal mechanic Joanne

He associates every girl who hangs around Wendy as bad news, so he'd rather stay away from them

It's why he was so desperate to get rid of his crush on Joanne

They do later become friends though

She still has a crush on him

The only females his age that he gets along with are Patsy, Mari, and Joanne

Besides their iconic sweater symbols, the boys' other symbols are a bear for Lucien and a cat for Wayne

Mrs. Cramp has made all of the boys' sweaters

She loves dressing them a like, so all their outfits have matches

On the days when they accidentally wear the same things, they immediately run back to change outfits

They won't be caught DEAD wearing the same thing if they can help it

Special occasions where their parents dress them up is the only time they'll reluctantly do it

Dorothy makes the twins' birthday cake every year

Lucien has only been a vegetarian for a short amount of time

Wayne is the 1st of the 2 to get an actual job, much to Lucien's disappointment

He becomes the mascot character for a sweet industry: he's a princess

He gets paid in money, and all he can eat sweets

Nobody knows it's him since he gets covered up in makeup and fun girly clothes that he wouldn't normally wear (think Jojo Siwa)

He is now a celebrity because of it, or at least this alter ego is

Wayne is a professional gaslighter

Wayne once tricked Lucien into believing that HE was the younger twin

It was funny at 1st but then got annoying

Lucien likes to bring in swamp animals and leave them for Wayne to find and scare him

Mostly frogs

Wayne has a deep fear of frogs

Lucien always gets in trouble for it but finds it totally worth it

Wayne is just as smart as Lucien, he just uses his in a different way

Lucien got most of the smarts while Wayne got most of the creativity

Tony and Wayne still talk to Randal

Few people are allowed to call Dorothy 'Dottie'

Mr. Winkle and Mr. Parson are cousins

Dirty Joe sees Wayne as a son

Dirty Joe loves kids, but due to his lifestyle, he can't really be around them

Losing his owl toy made Lucien into what he is today

Mrs. Cramp is why Wayne is the way he is

Wayne has a birthmark in the shape of a star on his inner thigh

While both boys' ears are pierced, Wayne has a couple more piercings than Lucien. His ears are pierced multiple times, his nose, his tongue and his belly button

When he's older, he'll get his nipples pierced

Marsha and Tandy are Dorothy's childhood friends

Marsha has 2 kids who are in high school

She got pregnant young

Tandy is secretly a lesbian who had a crush on Marsha's sister when she was younger

Marsha and Tandy are basically the boys, but adults with the way they act towards each other

The soap people have a weird relationship with filth, they can't stand it but also crave it

It's their swamp heritage, though most don't know it

Big Baby is their cousin from their fathers side

Big Baby is actually older than the boys by at least a year, she simply acts younger to get away with more

This is why she was sent to the Cramp's house the 1st time

Lucien still has his pagent gear

Wayne also still has the tiara Dirty Joe gave him

Wendy and her friends are complete perverts when it comes to Wayne. Her friends do it cause they think it's funny, Wendy does it because of her creepy obsession with Wayne

The boys are naturals when it comes to playing music

Wayne actually does know how to play the piano and harp

Most of their gifted talents come from their granddad

The gifted gene runs in his side of the family

Their granddad used to be a performer like Seth but in a different field

The Bad Seed was actually Horace's brother Herman

Twins run on Horace's side of the family

Herman was the Wayne to Horace's Lucien

Lucien's appearance comes from Horace side while Wayne's comes from Dorothy's side

Seth met his wife while performing at the circus
