lyney was confused at first. but he genuinely thought that it was an accident. but in his second and third tries, he started to feel like something was wrong. your attempt to mess with him was kind of a failure since lyney saw through your trick—but hey, nothing could beat the feeling of him smiling in the kiss.

the moment alhaitham’s first attempt to kiss you fails, he doesn’t try again. it’s not like he gave up; it’s just that he already knows that it’s just another of your numerous pranks on him. so instead, he just leaves you to be and waits until you give up instead.

Personally, you loved mornings like this, the ones where you’re curled up in bed with Ran and had nothing planned for the day. It was serene, the way the sun peeked through the curtains, bringing light into your room.

The best part was the sleepy kisses you shared.

They weren’t rushed or heated, instead, they were languid yet just as addictive.

You were the first to wake up, and you couldn’t help but admire your peacefully sleeping boyfriend. You felt so lucky to have him in your life. You smiled and found yourself pressing a light peck to his cheek, then to his other one, followed by three on his forehead and down his nose. You pressed featherlight kisses all over his face until finally stopping on his lips.

You hummed happily when Ran responded, having woken up to the flurry of kisses that you were bestowing upon him. He sighed as you swiped your tongue over his lower lip asking for entrance. Your tongues danced lazily with each other and when air became a necessity, you pulled away.

“Good morning,” You chirped.

It's your five year anniversary and it's been nothing short of a magical day. He had surprised you with a very romantic private dinner (provided by Minho) on the roof, full with fairy lights and candles.

Hyunjin had put on some smooth jazz playing lowly on a speaker, holding out a hand for you. "May I have this dance my love?" You giggle, happily slipping your hand into his.

Hyunjin pulls you close against his chest, cheek pressed to the hard plane while one hand takes your other. He sways you softly to the music, both of you just relishing in the moment, being in each others embrace. Hyunjin leans in to press a kiss to your forehead.

He's looking down at you with that fond look in his eyes. "Love, I hope you know how much I adore you. You are the stars that light up my world, my precious muse. Life is just, so much easier with you in it and I can't imagine it without you," He gets down on one knee and you gasp, tears stinging at your eyes.

As much as Eddie liked pushing boundaries, he never crossed that one.

Until they were moving in together, and Eddie was being suspicious about the house he chose.

He hadn’t bought it yet, but he seemed confident it was the one.

“Welcome to our future humble abode!”

Steve looked around the living room, smiling to himself as he pictured blanket forts and movie nights.

The dining room and kitchen were small, but cozy. 

The bedrooms and bathrooms needed paint.

Eddie’s excitement reached its peak at the back door.

“This is what sold me on this place.”

Eddie led him onto the back porch. 

The yard had a huge in-ground pool.

The delicious smell of waffles wakes James up. 

He stretches on the bed and tries to reach for Regulus but finds a cold and empty bed instead. He makes an unhappy noise and squints around the room to find Regulus only to see blurry blobs all around. He realises that he doesn’t have his glasses on and reaches for them. 

But even after wearing glasses, James can’t find Regulus anywhere. He groans and sits up on the bed. Just then Regulus enters the room holding a tray.

Regulus sees him and instantly pouts, “Why did you wake up?” There are hints of a whine in Regulus’ voice that makes James smile widely. “I wanted to wake you up with breakfast in bed.”

“Technically, you did,” James kicks off the blanket and makes space for Regulus to sit. “I woke up to the smell of waffles.” James sees the waffles Regulus has made and hums appreciatively. “I’m surprised they aren’t burnt.”

“That was one time. Will you ever shut up about it?”

“Nope,” James replies, popping the p just to annoy Regulus and takes a big bit of the waffles and godddd this is better than sex.

Apparently, he says it out loud because Regulus tells him, “Finish your food and I’ll prove you wrong.”

James finishes the waffles at the speed of light.

it's difficult to forget someone you once knew.

you see her everywhere, it's as if she never left, although you all wish that were the case.

you wake up in your bed, on the sheets you both used to share. staying in bed, cuddling from dusk to dawn on a slow day after shutting off the alarm you were too lazy to turn off the previous day.

you extract yourself from bed and trudge to the bathroom. you stare at glass by the sink, a toothbrush missing in it. while washing your face, you spill some water on the empty counter, where makeup bottles and brushes used to sit, lined up neatly every morning to be used the next.

you step out into the kitchen, the space appearing slightly dimmer than your memory recalls. opening the fridge, expecting to see an already prepared tupperware for lunch, but naturally, it's not there.

you place last night's leftovers on a pan, over a stove where you both used to playfully flick whipped cream at each other and sneak strawberries meant for the strawberry tarts on your 3rd anniversary.

you grab a plate and settle yourself on the couch, where you both spent countless nights cuddling with midnight TV dinners and watching movies.

it's vacant, nearly echoing, a mere echo of the place it once was.

"Don't worry," Tenko tells her, squeezing her small wrist with four of his fingers. "We'll always stay together, okay? I promise. I'll always protect you."

Kyomi opens her eyes with a snort and a painful pang in her heart. Tenko's promise... Well, it sure hadn't been kept. But she can't exactly blame him for that.

She rolls herself out of bed, getting her hair out of her face as she walks into the living room. Neither of them ever could've predicted what would happen after Sensei took them in.

"Good morning, Kyomi," Nedzu chirps from the couch, a cup of tea in his hands and another on the table, which he gestures to. "Sleep well?"

Kyomi smiles, picking up the cup and taking a sip. "Yeah. Had a good dream." Even if neither of them could keep the promise, it still was a good memory, a fond one.

"I'm glad." Nedzu gives her that fond smile he always does, and it chases away the sadness that had been creeping up on her. "Yamada will be by in a few hours to take you shopping, so make sure to be ready before then, okay?"

"Yep yep." The promise might have been broken, but she didn't really need it anymore. She's got a new family now, after all, even if she'll still miss Tenko.

you set your phone down on the lip of a brick building and decided that you were gonna make a tiktok. you opened the app and picked the song you were gonna use, a very popular song at the moment, out of my league.

you pressed record and started filming, walking backwards, not paying attention to where you were walking. you started lip singing to the song when you were disrupted by a stranger walking straight into your side.

they had bumped into you so hard that you nearly fell over. you looked at him and he took one of his airpods out. he went to apologize when you speed walked toward him to grab his face. you put your lips upon his and he used one hand to grab your ass and he placed the other on the back of your head pulling you closer.

you heard the music stop and he pulled away from you. you smiled at him and said, “thanks for helping me with this tiktok, joshie.”

“you’re very welcome, sweet. anytime, the ladies love to see me.”

you grabbed your phone and quickly put it in your drafts and grabbed joshes waist to continue walking down the street.

268 fics over three fandoms - 223 for Shadowhunters, 42 for Alex Rider and 3 for Heated Rivalry with hopefully more to come, but I don't think anything will ever beat Shadowhunters number wise...

2. What's my total ao3 wc: 1,672,711 words over the span of roughly four years... let's see if I get Ito the magic two million!!

3. What are my top 5 fics by kudos:

I'm always on the fence whether to include my co-written fics here, this time I won't - but the first three spots would otherwise belong to my three fics co-written with Nadja_Lee (they're mentioned) later - and yes, I don't think that's a coincidence 😂 A Darker Shade of Love - Malace, E, 55 k After Alec lies about the Soul Sword, Magnus breaks up with him, turning his back not only on him but the Accords and the Clave in general. Outcast by the Shadow World after escaping Valentine, Jace joins forces with Magnus.  When Jace’s birthday is due, Magnus gifts him the one thing Jace truly desires: Alec. A Bond To Destroy - Jalec, E, 9 K When Jace and Alec corrupt their bond by committing eros, the true power of it enfolds. Could be but I don't think so 😂

4. Do you respond to comments, why or why not?

Absolutley! I love the interaction with fellow fans. I also love to know that others are reading my fics and enjoying them. It's great to know which details people liked, what worked for them. Great friendships started like that, IRL and fandom alike.

5. What fic has the angstiest ending?

That was acutally hard to remember, usually I write happy endings. But Fantasy Boy definitely is the winner. It's a short Jace & Jonathan fic with Jalec on the side: Jace is bound to Jonathan by the devilish Twinning rune. The powerful rune overules everyting else, even the Parabatai bond. There's just a strange longing left in Jace, ignited by a boy who visits his dreams. Will Jace be able to get rid of his dark bond to Jonathan when his fantasy boy kneels in front of him in flesh and blood - or will the darkness win?

6. What fic has the happiest ending?

This is even harder to answer 😂 Most of my fics get a happy ending or a hopeful ending, but I don't do overly sweet endings. But I pic Nocturnal Shadows, a 41K Jalec, Circle AU fic The Uprising is successful and Valentine and his Circle take over the reins in the Shadow World. Valentine has one true son, Jonathan, in whose veins runs demon blood. Valentine has an angel-blooded godchild, Jace, whom he deems too weak. To strengthen him, he decides to force Jace to become Parabatai with the son of one of his most loyal followers, Maryse Lightwood. Neither boy wants the bond but they have no other choice. The bond doesn’t care if the words are recited willingly or not, the Parabatai rune merges their souls together regardless. At first Alec and Jace loathe each other, but over time they learn that the true enemy is not the other but someone else entirely. It ends in a successfull rebellion, Jalec training young Shadowhunters and being utterly in love - not so different from others, but as it starts with a forced bond both loath (and each other) it feels happier

7. Do you write crossovers?

Not really, I'm not really interested in them either. But, fuelled by a lot of wine and bad (fun) influence, I wrote a Shadowhunters/Lucifer crossover About Devils and Cats - T, Jace & Lucifer, 3k Lucifer escapes hell to run a nightclub and his father is not impressed. He captures Lucifer and turns him into a black cat to punish him. But Lucifer being Lucifer, he takes his fate into his own hands. When he lays eyes on a certain blond Shadowhunter, a devilish plan is forming...

8. Have you received hate on ao3?

I was a Jalec writer when the fandom was still active, do I have to say more 😂 I was called names and told to do some things, all on anon of course. I would lie to say that it didn't bother me at all, but also not as much as I would have imagined. Hasn't happen in a long time though, the perks of a dying fandom I suppose.

9. Do you write smut? *cough* occassionally 😂though despite the perception, only 102 of my 268 fics are rated E. But I like to write smut, and I indulge in it when I do!

10. Have you had a fic get stolen?

Not that I know of

11. Have you had a fic get translated?

No, at least not to my knowledge!

12. Have you co-written a fic?

Several! The most (3) with Nadja_Lee for Shadowhunters also the longest ones! We wrote the incredible amount of 162.667 words together!! Fun times! 14. What's a WIP you want to finish but never will?

The sequel to The Absence of Hate, my longest Jalec fic (81 K, M). It has a Hunger Game setting and while the boys survive and get together, it's not yet over. The Games are still on, they're mentors for the next set of kids. I started the sequel and I know where it should go, but I don't have the energy to write another at least 80 k.

15. What are my writing strengths?

I'm good at working through my characters' emotions, what drives them. I'm good with hurt/comfort and angst, but I think that comes with the first strength. I'm good with kinky smut too.

16. What are my writing weaknesses?

I'm really not good with technical details as that bores me to hell and back. I'm also really bad at similiar looking words like thread/threat, food/foot - I of course know what each means, but when I write them I sometimes use the wrong spelling and I just don't see it no matter how often I proofread, I overlook them. In other people's writing I spot them though of course.

17. What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages on ao3?

It has to be done well and it rarely is. Please, for the love of god, only do it when you are really sure the other language is correct, and even then it has to make sense for the person switiching to the other language. Reading things featuring a German character is truly painful sometimes (you cannot translate the English endearment "love" literally to Germand - and Liebchen is really nothing this German character would say to a lover. Really, really not.)

I'm cheating now and mention one per fandom (and probably that changes each time someone asks The Absence of Hate for Jalec/Shadowhunters (M, 81k) Jace is fifteen when he’s reaped and becomes a tribute for District Eight to fight for his life. To make things worse, his mentor, the one person to train him and help him survive in the arena, is the boy Jace swore to hate for the rest of his life: Alec Lightwood.

Blood & Guns for Yalex/Alex Rider (E, 41 K) Alex’s new mission sounds suspiciously easy – go to Yassen’s favourite club, offer the man a drink and acquire information MI6 desperately needs in the process. Of course nothing is quite as easy as it seems, the club strange, the drink unusual, and Yassen is not the man Alex thought him to be. Winner's Curse for Hollanov/Heated Rivalry (M, 5k) Usually Ilya doesn’t mind being chosen for the winner’s room, but after today’s loss all he wants to do is go home and lick his wounds. Montreal has other plans for him, and Ilya isn’t sure whether he can forgive Shane for that.

this was originally to be one of the flashbacks and deal with Jiang Yanli's disappointment, grief, and upset at being rejected by jin zixuan immediately prior to the events of ch12 but didn't really fit or add much to the story except loving jyl vibes

Jiang Yanli has never been who others want her to be. She is no powerful cultivator like her mother desires, no capable son for her father, no peerless beauty for Jin Zixuan.

She is quiet and small and she stutters when her emotions catch up with her and wash away her words. All her skills lie in things they call useless: patience for cooking a delicate soup, strength enough to carry a child on her hip, hands gentle enough to patch up a scratch or wipe away tears.

She doesn’t blame them for their disappointment. How can she? They’ve only asked for what anyone would in the circumstances. She wouldn’t blame a farmer for being disappointed in a skinny goat rather than an ox to draw their cart.

So she understands why their mother’s lips thin with displeasure and why their father’s gaze passes over her so easily. She does not let herself feed any resentment in her heart. Instead, she determines to be the best consolation she can. She will marry the man her mother has chosen, to honor her choice and solidify Yunmeng Jiang’s alliance with Lanling Jin. She will mind her little brothers so that Father doesn’t have to and so that they don’t cause too much trouble.

It has always been easy to shape herself to her family’s needs.

v.england was isagi peak where isagi achieved ultimate god form but looking back it may be important isagi didn’t (couldn’t) score that match even as he’s peak “him” he’s still not blue lock’s ideal striker maybe why he needs another journey even as he remains always blue lock condensed into human form (unlike noa–>barou, snuffy does not recognize isagi as a striker)

noa valuing barou as a striker feels like softly comparing barou to himself ch.223 "as just a striker i'm number 1 (but snuffy the true goat)” isagi-egojin real so barou is noa in the rivalry parallel this makes sense to me as a believer in the isagi-egojin-noa-kaiser square because i’ve been substituting kaiser for barou so often it’s only fair the opposite holds, kings are kings (and they love nutmegging people). noa-kaiser and now noa-barou making noa king-aligned though ch.221 and noa calling his team “revolutionary” was already a hint noa was a king (not a god as isagi described him in v.spain) this game shifted by opinion on noa as “king, not god”… this distinction is important. on the opposite end the phrase "if you lose your talent, would you still like yourself?" continues to haunt the game though snuffy could also be speaking from newfound passion

though isagi deliberately imitates noa’s expression it has a superficial feel because the isagi-noa rift has at this point established itself (nothing to do with this chapter but isagi when he learns metavision “maybe i can become god” vs. noa “you’re not a god” this may softly hint at the rift, more importantly though in v.england finale was isagi god or not……? (being god the endpoint of isagi’s talent?) hiori said isagi seemed like he was god while noa said he wasn’t, another potential foreshadowing for noa abandoning isagi-hiori to their fate but i can’t say isagi was wrong to think of his potential final form as “god” either. isagi thinking of noa as god-like noa's ability as 万能 "all-purpose" isagi himself admitted he admired noa too much to make him a target, isagi probably misunderstands noa's true nature just as he misunderstands kaiser's)
