everyone reading atr for the first time vs me who read it for the first time three years ago and has been insane about it ever since. (guy who loves the painting motif) the paintings!!!!!!! also i think it’s neat that akio and ruka die again even if juri’s chapter is a bit wobbly wrt dunking on that guy. i dont consider it canon in the strictest sense, primarily bc if touga was 37 years old before he had an ounce of growth it would kill me, but i think its ideas and messaging are largely scrumptious. i deeply enjoy the baby-utena-spectre thing and the utena-prince thing and how transparently and directly the stuco’s perceptions and understandings of who utena was have shaped them; in turn, how that has trapped some remnant of utena in ohtori, as ‘prince’. also shout-out anthy bc the way she functions in atr ohhhhhh it makes me crazy. what chiho saito says about not seeing an aged up utenanthy about seeing only a previous form of themselves that maybe isn’t all that real at all, ohhhhhhh it’s incredible 10/10 no notes on that front for me. we’re still storytelling within ohtori and that is sososososo important. it’s not as good as the movie manga imho, but atr is like. it just holds a special place in my heart for being such a compelling and mixed bag of Stuff. great food for thought. i think everyone should read it honestly im baffled that people are choosing not to

alright. know what? with Secrets of the Obscure right around the corner and plenty of new Mists-related sky island settings coming with it, I'll just bite the bullet and interest-check a little something I've been turning in my head for a long, long while.

would YOU be interested in a Mists-based GW2 roleplay guild that uses a lore compliant multiverse system to allow canon, canon-adjacent, lore-breaking, and otherwise 'contradictory' muses to coexist in the same setting?

simply put: every writer's cast would be set in their own self-contained universe. as such, everyone could bring whatever muses they want with their own personal headcanons, and no one could dictate what is or isn't canon for anyone else. so long as your muses are GW2-based, you're good to go! bring your Commanders, bring your canon-divergent OCs, bring your canon muses-- and yes, even the ones that are 'supposed' to be dead. who can say what might have happened in a strange world far across the Mists, after all?

neutral hubs and in-character safety guardrails would be in place to keep all muses on a relatively even playing field regardless of their power, history, and prestige, too. play hardball if you like, but it might not end quite the way you'd hope. the main rule would be to maintain good OOC etiquette at all times: no godmodding, no metagaming, no theft, don't blend IC and OOC, and so-on.

Just saw the new video Hargreaves posted via tiktok and im sorry i sighed seeing the Tord clip im sorry gang i cant get myself hyped.

I dont know why but for a while now all the Tord stuff has been leaving a bad taste in my mouth cause before it was “guys dont ask us about Tord stop asking ugh so annoying” to “hey guys dropping more Tord merch, episodes, spinoff show and also gonna send him over to do a concert with Miku” or some shit like ok they realized he is a cash cow its okay to admit that but idk, as much as I love Tord i feel like it would have been better to let him go bury him in satin laid down on a bed of roses sunk into the river at dawn sent away with the words of a love song. Another top surgery update!!! Yesterday I was 10 days post-op and things are starting to look better and I can do more and more things alone ❣️

Went out with my partner a bit and oh boy I've missed it so much, it was so nice

#my recovery is quite bumpy so it's taking a lot out of me #so it made me super happy that I could go out and I'm starting to feel better #I got sick right after surgery with a nasty cold and had a fever a few times too #and then after a few days of coming out of it #it came right back #and Vini caught it too and they developed much worse symptoms and they're still sick from it #so we really did have some very rough days #and here in Hungary they don't use the flat JP drain that they use in America #which made it so I could feel it rolling around on my ribs and probably a nerve too every time I moved #and it hurt like bitch dgdkhdkdhdj #anyway to sum it up we didn't have fun these past two weeks or so #but now things are looking better and I'm super happy with the results and on Tuesday I have the appt to remove my sutures too #and my grafts seem well and healthy too! #excuse my oversharing I'm just so happy and hopeful #not very happy about all the uni stuff I'm gonna have to catch up with tho :') #I hope y'all are fine too!!! take care ❤️

Like for how much ppl tag this stuff as xeno, most of it's honestly pretty tame. Which kinda makes sense, considering a lot of this is being based off of the plants in stampede, which While uncanny are not NEARLY the amount of inherent horror of the plants in the manga. the idea that simon just needs to find a way to have magic and be sane is one of the most egregiously thoughtless missing-the-entire-point takes i’ve ever seen. with my disclaimer that i’m not remotely endorsing or seriously suggesting this: i’m surprised no one’s mentioned the fact that we’ve multiple times seen people use the crown’s magic without any of the mental effect. after flame princess destroys most of the ice kingdom, IK gives the crown to gunter to rebuild it, and again in thanks for the crabapples guiseppe, he gives it to abracadaniel and it lets him use ice magic just fine. the crown only has its full effect on one person at a time, and doesn’t seem to bond to a new wearer until the current one is dead… but it’ll give anyone who wears it magic.

In conclusion obviously the solution is for Simon to just take an ice crown that’s already being used (:

I didn't really watch too much TV as a young kid? I liked to mess around with my kit or go fuck around in the forests, for the most part. I started watching stuff more in highschool and college.

Some stuff I enjoy, or enjoyed, off the top of my head- Batman: The Animated Series, Are You Afraid of the Dark?, Buffy the Vampire Slayer... There are definitely more things that I watched, but I'm not sure what all I really stand by enjoying... sometimes, you just watch something because it's so weird it fascinates you, ya know?
