I’m sorry I genuinely cannotttttt understand how some ppl bash joe even in a joking manner. Like the poor guy did nothing wrong (that we know of) but so many ppl are making such snide remarks by comparing him to Travis which is not only condescending but actually kind of mean! HELLO did we listen to the same reputation album??? You can’t praise Travis for letting Taylor bejeweled and then rip joe to shreds in the same breath when joe was the one there for her in a clearly difficult and trying time in her life

wow i'm just looking at roy's thought process in the lead up to this call:
he's just gotten a ridiculous amount of flowers from the armstrong intelligence agent and he needs to do something with them, and his mind immediately goes "give them to riza".
like, bradley JUST called this man's ass out for wearing his heart on his sleeve and yet he just. keeps simping.
(you know what that is folks? king shit.)
(maybe he thought since he's not her boss right now he could get away with it. high key obsessed by that manga panel in the 'selim b is homunculus' convo where roy asks her out and riza shoots him down not having a CLUE that's what he's doing:
man's REALLY trying to shoot his shot pray for him y'all.)
and not only does roy decide to give her the flowers he decides to start off the call doing a goofy little bit.
like, my precious subordinate must be super stressed working under wrath! i know, i'll bring her some flowers and also use them as an excuse to check in on her and i'll ALSO honk my clown nose to get her to laugh or roll her eyes fondly at me! yes boyfriend of the year right here
i repeat, roy knows riza's going through a tough time and his game plan is to bring her flowers and try and make her laugh.
i'm frankly amazed these two weren't written up for fraternization before this. only the bad guys ever bring it up and no-one else ever calls them out on it in-universe but these two are NOT subtle.

Spent my day off catching up on Miraculous Ladybug and all I can say is RIP Gabriel, actual funniest villain of all time. I will never get over how he akumatized an actual baby, spent the entire episode asking himself why the fuck he thought that was a good idea, and then proceeded to do it again like five more times

oh god oh god i actually love this hold on.
in the OG around this point you don't know that Aerith has a connection to the Lifestream that means she has a more intense connection with death. It's only when she gets taken by the turks that her mom mentions to us that Aerith was able to pass on the last words her husband wanted to pass down to her as he died far away in the war.
I don't have recollection of Aerith specifically connecting and hearing ghosts in the OG, and especially not in the Train Graveyard which was a pretty straight forward dungeon section, not exactly a character building exercise
and for all my issues with "ruining mysteries" i think, on the contrary, that here it serves it so well.
It evokes much more easily Aerith's connection with the deads, and they don't spell out why right from the start, so if Aerith doesn't drop any information until Elmyra does, this is actually a super good build up to what Aerith's powers are like.
and i'm thrilled that they add to it an angle of her being able to hear what the deads have to say, and wanting, in a way, helping them pass on. It's really just something that alluded but not really seen, and it's a great thing to expend on.
I love the idea so much, and to hear Aerith's voice breaks after defeating this ghost that has been haunting them the whole time, realizing that the only reason it attacked them was just that they wanted to have fun one last time? The way to set Aerith on the door between life and death, able to bridge that misunderstanding?
oh i love it so so so much, fantastic addition, i'm in love.

wip whenever
@coldshrugs tagged me on this one AGES ago. and I've been in a weird headspace with writing so since I wrote like few paragraphs on this one today I was like "it's now or never" so here, extremely late but better than never ? I think ? it sure isn't wip wednesday or whatever lol. anyway under read more we go!
tagging: I still am not sure which of my followers write so :) if you want to do this PLS pretend I tagged you here!! I always want to read your fics.
for context: right after that first quest when we met y'shtola on the first. thancred excuses himself, minfilia asks to go with the wol and runar around slitherbough but thesa asks for a moment to go after thancred before anything else. it's wolcred + pre-relationship, like 90% of my fics.
“Don't mention it,” Thesa says before standing up. She speaks with a tone that translates as if she doesn't want to talk about it again — which does sound like she's scolding him, if he's being honest — but the viera stops in front of him with their hands still linked, so Thancred doesn't really complain all that much. “I'm taking her with me for a stroll through the village.”
“Be my guest,” he laughs — though there's a sign of relief there as he throws his hands up in surrender. If he's happy to rest off his obligations for a while or if it's because he realized she's not that mad at him, Thesa can't tell. Still, he adds with that familiar amused delivery of his, “unlike you, Minfilia isn't reckless, but she's a bit too naive sometimes. Keep your eyes on her, please.”
“I'm an expert dealing with both kinds of teens, trust me.” She hits her chest confidently, though her smile is warm now there’s something else in there. Thancred asks himself if this is the longest she has been away from the twins.
And, of course, there was no need for the suddenly confession, but he does all the same: “I always do.” It's accompanied by a smile as he clasps her hand before she can distance herself again and brings it to his lips again. This time without checking out the people around him — to which a young adult elezen sure is entertained to witness in the back — his eyes never leaving her, he mutters with his lips still over her fingers. “We also have matters to settle, you and I.”
Thesa squeezes his hands lightly. “I'm well aware,” she nods, taking her hand away from him to stroke his cheek for a few seconds before letting her hand fall to her side. “Later, though.”
