We all want to go back to focus on and talk about racing. That is why we are here.
BUT WE CANT until we get transparency and empathy. Until we now women are safe and listened to. The Sport should own up to its own promises. We Race As One should not be an empty Phrase.
The hashtag WeRaceAsOne is going around on Twitter. If you feel like you at least need to say something join in.

I just thought to share this here but boycott all official f1 related things on international women’s day (march 8th)
-Watch using non revenue streams or don’t watch at all
-don’t engage with official social media posts
-don’t engage with reporting, engaging only gives them attention
-speak up about feminism and sex discrimination
Do not become complacent to blatant ignorance and let this be swept under the rug like so much other issues.

Hello hello.
Tuning in for a "not-so-normal" post. because it's deeply necessary.
F1 has never beeen inclusive for women- and it's disgraceful.
For female fans- it's always assumed that we're in it for the hot men and not the machinery or talent. let me say this, it's okay if you're here from dts, for the hot drivers or something that isn't "legacy" it's okay, because exposure is exposure, and you're a real fan. And half the time, drivers aren't seen, only their eyes and their helmet's are, so that point is null and void because women who watch the races, aren't there for the covered up racers, theyr'e there to watch a sport that brings them joy, just like anyone else.
And it isn't harming anyone is it? watch the race, watch the thirst traps, watch the media posts. it's okay, calm down. just like insane male fan-boys, girls are allowed in this space.
Fans have always, and will always make up this industry, and trying to remove more than 40% of fans that are women. Is really just shooting yourself in the foot, isn't it? stay respectful, and you're welcome here. [stay respectful being a main point, if you're being a creep and being hateful, i don't think you should be here.]
For female workers in the entire F1 industry- The whole christian horner incident is despicable, it is one of the worst handled breaches of rights that i have ever seen. And i've been in a k-pop fandom. Trust that i know. The transparency is spotty, it's breeding chaos, its creating an unnsafe environment for all women. Chr*stian H*rnshit needs to fucking sit down, cause everytime he denies something, there is 500 tonnes of evidence against him. That isn't behaviour of a innocent man. That's behaviour of a mysoginist who's created a horrible environment.
The whole ssituation has blown up, for no reason, and now, the poor victim [it still hasn't been officially confirmed yet. but i believe he's guilty] has been cut off from her job. A real woman, with a real livelihood and a real life to support, has been blacked out and excluded from a main pillar in her life. it's not funny. it's damaging.
And mind you, if this was a man, in the paddock, a mechanic. hell just a male there wouldv'e been riots. pitchforks, fire, flare guns, strikes. Lord knows.
And finally, the drivers-
i.am.remourseful.
I am worried. I am scared.
It is worrying, frankly, how many drivers abstain from commenting, when they have some of the biggest platforms here and when they do, it's called "distracting"? That all they want to do, "is drive"?
I'm sorry, you don't just drive you are influential, you are role models, you are internet sensations and personalities.
Don't insulult the 38% of women in the workforce of your fucking job, and that statistic is just of management in the official formula one sector, totalled, it's more than half. So for men like, daniel ricciardo and valterri bottas to say such dismissive and hurtful things, it's really showing that we're going one step forward and 3 steps back.
And now- because of the blatant disregard, "blame game" playing and ignorance, that has occured. Every.single.woman who has been and will be involed with this sport is cautious, petrified and on gaurd for her livelihood; her job.
And if any man, or any person has any issue with what i have said. Please. you're invited to calmly state your reasons [which i might not answer or delete if they are stupid] and we can finally, fucking finally, have a singular, opoen conversation which has one goal in mind. The support and protection of women in formula one.

A study by More Than Equal (which for some reason requires a company name to download, despite its importance to people who aren’t in a company) has found that commercial prejudice is the biggest cause of women not getting through the lower tiers of motorsport. It has also found that lack of awareness (with nearly half of motorsport fans surveyed not being sure if women were even allowed to compete in F1, let alone businesses) due to a lack of visible and consistently demonstrable trajectory into professional racing series were a big factor. Thus, some companies that weren’t being prejudicial were nonetheless not backing women because they could not see any chance of a return of investment. It’s worse in motorbikes: 81% of fans aren’t sure if women are allowed to race in World SBK, despite it having the best record for women of all the professional series questioned (in that Ana Carrassco has already won a championship in that series). For MotoGP only 22% of fans thought women were allowed to compete.
Every series has a lot of work to do
Also note: given that 80% of fans think there will be a woman in F1 in the next 10 years, about 30% of fans think that the FIA is going to change the regulations to allow a woman into the series to make that happen. This represents a pretty spectacular fail on the part of the FIA, given that women have raced in F1 in the 1950s and 1970s, and attempted to qualify all the way into the early 1990s. Note the latter date is just before the really big sponsor money started to become compulsory for teams to compete in F1 - 1992 had some teams racing solidly in the midfield on a $15 m budget, but by 1998 that wouldn’t be enough money to keep a F1 team running for a whole year. Other reasons women struggle to become professional racing drivers: - women get less track time (thus less practise) then men - lack of role models (hampered by women being particularly sceptical about existing and previous social schemes like #WeRaceAsOne. Also note: over 80% of male fans and over 90% of female fans believe the racing is automatically worse in enforced single-gender series, which prevents people in F1 Academy and the former W Series from being seen as role models in that context) - lack of gender-specific training available (i.e. the specialised training expected of racing drivers is all based on male models) - rampant stereotypes against women (about 20-25% of men, and 5-20% of women, believed each of the stereotypes surveyed. Note that even one stereotype by the wrong person can be enough, and no data existed on what percentage believed at least one stereotype, as data only displays on a per-stereotype basis) - a culture that is unwelcoming to people not exactly like those already “accepted” - a culture that is sometimes discriminatory against women in terms of microaggressions - lack of research into whether mechanical biases exist in the cars in terms of suitability for anyone outside an unnecessarily narrow range of physiques - a perception that motorsport is extremely discriminatory by sporting standards (perhaps to a greater extent than is warranted even by the above statements) - unsurprisingly given the above, a smaller pool of talent to pick from at every stage
The consequence is that the gender imbalance becomes about 40% worse between FIA karting and lower-tier non-karting series, and another 40% worse between lower-tier and professional-tier series. This despite Hintsa, arguably the best organisation in the world at preparing motorsport competitiors physically, noting that women are as capable of hitting the physical and psychological benchmarks required as men. Be warned: there will be backlash if more women enter motorsports. Yes, over 40% more women will deepen their attachment to motorsport - but between 8 and 18% of men will reduce it (probably in a very noisy and nasty way, given the other findings). The report is not close to perfect - the way it’s presented shows its own biases and weak points in terms of communication equality - but it sheds a light on how far motorsport hasn’t come since 1997. 26 years ago, the first major research about women in motorsport identified four main obstacles to women competing: - Sponsors refusing to back women - Stereotyping - Peer pressure, primarily due to lack of understanding - Over-scrutiny of results Compare the two lists and see the similarities.

It’s always Lewis being the moral backbone of this sport and the only one to speak out on important issues. It’s thoroughly disappointing as female fan of this sport for many years, and still things have barely changed.
They can say “we race as one” as much as they like but what really matters is actions and actually showing support to women when situations like sexual assault allegations arise.
People are always looking towards Lewis to stand up and do what’s right and he delivers every time but the situation right now is giving us a glimpse of what the sport will be like once he retires. The way everyone but a few are calling it ‘noise’ and ‘distractions’ and that they’re just here to race is absolutely disgusting.
To be completely honest, the second Lewis retires I’m out of the sport as well. I can’t continue to support and watch something that’s so deeply entrenched in misogyny and corruption.

📣 Calling all F1 Fans!! 📣
Formula 1 fans I need your help!
I’m a masters student studying Sport Business and need some F1 fans to fill out a survey to help with my dissertation. It is investigating racism within the sport and the authenticity of the #WeRaceAsOne campaign. It shouldn’t take any more than 10 minutes, I would really appreciate it if you would take the time to fill it out. It would be a hugeeee help! If you could also share with any F1 friends that would be incredible! Thank you in advance!! 💖💖💖

Alonso said Lewis “is lost and isolated”. The truth is that Lewis has always been fighting solo, all these years. All the racism, all the abuse. He doesn’t share the same experience as the other drivers. And this is continuously proven to him. The double standards, both during and out of the race. People adamantly FIGHTING TO END RACISM! but then turning their backs when they should act, say something, anything really. Among them are some of the most influential people on the globe. But hey! Standard statement condoning racism. Lewis’ name on the statement, not even Piquet’s. As if people didn’t know what this is about. THERE. IS. FOOTAGE. Why not say his name for once? and then alonso said, lewis is lost and isolated.

I don’t know if I should laugh or cry. According to this article there will be extra security with guards and CCTV at the French GP this weekend.
At first I thought omg they’re actually doing something to make sure we don’t see scenes like the one in Austria/Silverstone. F1 is taking active action to protect their fans. WRONG!!
Its to make sure the fans don’t take billboards, markers etc.
Which fair enough protect your property but could you please also protect your customers at the same time maybe?
