“I’m gonna ask you about your friendship with YN” A woman’s voice speaks to Niall from behind the camera. “Oh how long have ya got?” Niall sarcastically says with a small chuckle. “Who?” YN questions with a serious expression and Niall’s famous laugh is heard from behind the camera. “We met when I auditioned for The X Factor..and I was put into a band…One Direction with her brother Louis..and she came on tour with us and now we’re the best of friends” “Niall was in a band with my brother…not sure if you’ve heard of ‘em One Direction…yeah and..Niall begged me to go on tour wiv ‘em to style his hair..such a diva” YN joked whilst trying to not laugh at Niall shaking his head at her, from where he was standing behind set. “It’s because of me…she’s so famous..nothing to do with her brother or boyfriend” Niall joins in on the teasing. “Seriously now…Niall’s like a brother to me…he’s my best friend, he’s just so funny and he’s there for you no matter what and…he’s been there for me through some of my darkest times..and I’ll always be grateful to him” “YN…she’s one of the strongest people I know..even when she’s been goin’ through some tough times..she always wants to know how everyone else is and if they’re okay…she’s one in a million that girl”

Niall and YN were instructed to give each other compliments in the next part. As they're both standing opposite each other with their little notebooks and pens in their hands, Niall tries to peek at what YN is writing. “Don’t look at it” YN protests and hides her notebook away from Niall’s prying eyes. “I just wanna know how funny you’re being” Niall defends himself. “I’m not bein’ funny at all” “Yeah you fuckin’ are” Niall teases “She’s writing a massive list” Niall continues to laugh as YN flips the page over to write on another page. “I’m writin’ in big letters” “She paid me to be her friend” Niall continues with his jokes. “Yeah..yeah oh fookin’...if anyone’s payin’ anybody for anythin’..you’re givin’ me some fookin’ money” YN’s Doncaster accent is heard making Niall chuckle and continue to write on the paper in front of him. “I love your sense of humour..’cause you just laugh at everythin’ even if it’s not funny..and it makes me feel funny” YN compliments Niall.

“I like how creative you are..you’ve gone from touring with the band..to running your own business..and I’m proud of you and you should be proud of yourself” “Okay..movin’ on before I cry” YN talks “You always smell amazin’ every time I see you” “Thanks..I’ll take that one considering who you sleep next to every night smells like heaven” Niall responds making YN laugh “I love how strong and determined you are…like most people would give up..but you just keep going and I admire you for that..so yeah” Niall compliments YN again. “Aww Niall…stoooop..you’re gonna make me cry” YN playfully scolds but inside feels her heart melt at the words spoken by her best friend “I think you’re an amazin’ songwriter…and a fookin’ boss on the guitar..and I love your music” “She’s a massive Niall fan…I’ve always been her favourite” “He’s not lyin’” YN said with a flick of her hair, causing them both to laugh. Niall and YN were instructed to hug each other for one minute in the next part.

Niall wrapped his arms around YN’s shoulder whilst her arms went around his back like they had done many of times over the years. “Oh he smells greeeat” YN’s voice is heard.

“You smell good too” “Thank you” “I like your shoes too” YN begin’s to sing ‘I like the way you talk, I like the things you wear, I want your number tattooed on my arm in ink, I swear” whilst her and Niall swayed back and forth. Niall began singing the lyrics “Watermelon sugar, high, Watermelon sugar, high, Watermelon sugar high, Watermelon sugar”. YN’s giggling is heard as the pair continue to sing together “Why that song?..Of all the songs you could have chosen” Niall and YN were instructed to mirror each other’s dance moves in the next part.

Some upbeat music was heard playing, Niall starts by pointing his hand up to the ceiling and shaking his hips slightly, and YN begins to copy his movement. Niall then abruptly points to the floor and leans down, and points back up again into his starting position. Then move his fingers in a circle around his body “This is us goin’ ‘round the world”. And after a few more arm movements, jumps to the side and begins to imitate Beyonce’s Single Ladies dance. “Your turn”. YN begins to jump around laughing and shows everyone her impression of how back up dancers dance, which Niall copies her every move whilst they laugh infectiously together “Do you know wa I mean?” she asks Niall as she continues to hop around. Next, YN decides to swing her around her head and tell Niall to “Giddy up, giddy up” as they gallop around the space. “What the fuck just ‘appened?” Niall asks as YN nudges his shoulder playfully.

“Welcome to the life of being a Tomlinson” YN defends her behaviour. Niall and YN were instructed to harmonise with each other in the next part. “Do you know what’s so annoyin’…she can actually sing so this isn’t even gonna be funny” “Ahhhhhhh” Niall and YN are heard harmonising together, before harmonising happy birthday and YN made Niall laugh. “You fucked it for me” Niall laughed.

“Nobody, nobody” YN began singing and dancing at the same time.

“Nobody can drag me down” Niall joins in, before singing his own song “Nice to meet ya” “what’s ya name, let me treat ya..to a drink” Niall and YN continue to sing together whilst clapping and waving their hands. Niall and YN were instructed to perform trust falls in the next part “It’s called a trust fall” a woman’s voice behind the camera spoke. “Oh fook” and “Okay fuck” Niall and YN spoke at the same time. “What if I don’t catch you?” YN panicked. “Well..ya better help me up when I fall” Niall teased and laughed. Niall turned around so his back faced YN whilst she held her arms out ready to catch the brunette lad “Come one...come on I’ve got you” she reassure s him. Niall falls back gracefully and YN just about manages to hold him up for a couple of seconds “Okay..get up now before I drop ya”. YN prepares herself to fall into Niall’s arms as she turns her back to him “Don’t fookin’ drop me now Horan” “Just trust me will ya Mini Tommo” Niall uses her nickname from when she toured with the boys. YN delicately falls back into Niall’s arms as he catches her small frame easily in his arms. “Do you trust me?” Niall turns to ask YN as she stands back up. “I trust you with my whole fookin’ heart” “Aww come ‘ere ya softy” Niall teases as he pulls YN into his arms and squeezes her tight “She’s like the sister I never had”

“Horan and Tommo are in town” Niall and YN say together as they sway from side to side.

I've thought a lot about why jikookers get the most butthurt over taekookers and sometimes taekook interactions and came to some conclusions:

You see, every fandom has a "mainstream"/"classical" ship. The ships may be based on looks, on chemistry, seemingly clicking personalities, on their group roles. Maknae line ships are usually the most popular, probably due to korean culture attaching quite a great and unique significance to them. The two idols can be shipped either because people see genuinely romantic undertones in their interactions or simply because they are one of the most popular members. Some ships are just what they are - ships. A fantasy created for emotional and psychological projection or for entertainment purposes, for "Wow! Damn!" effect. Because that's what modern music and entertainment industry is mostly about - living through others, taking a break from your own life and personal problems. It provides the audience an emotional and psychological relief, or, on the other hands, makes the audience live their emotions more strongly, more bright, more intense. You have a stressful life - the industry makes you feel more relieved, safe, understood. You have a dull life - it makes your life more lively and eventful. Either way, the whole music and entertainment industry is based on letting people project onto the artist/entertainer. Make them feel seen.

That's why ships are especially popular. Human nature craves love, craves drama. It's almost like we are emotion-addicts. It's in our nature to feel them and to want more of it.

But I digress.

So why is taekook the most mainstream ship?

1. The official visuals. You can throw tomatoes at me all you want but that's just a fact. People tend to be more attracted towards those who are conventionally, universally attractive. Yes, it's a bit childish but it's what it is. People want to be "mean girls", look cool. It's just natural that they would pick those who are more universally attractive. Why not Jin since he is also in the visual line? He's not a social butterfly like Tae is. Taehyung is known to be a part of many friend groups, his friends are 'cool' and popular. He also has this image of a carefree soul, he's playful, quite childish, chill, as one of the maknaes he's usually one of those who gets doted on. A perfect personality to project on to make yourself feel 'cool' and 'mean'. But why not Jimin? He's not officially in the visual line but he often gets praised for his looks so why not him? Let's be real, despite the progress our society still hasn't got rid of prejudices. The universal beauty standard for men is at least 6 feet tall (180 cm), deep or average voice, broad shoulders, muscular body. Jimin is of average height but people and he himself love to call him tiny, his voice is high and singing voice is even higher, his shoulders are more narrow than of an average man, his body is used to be muscular but now he's rather lean, men usually emphasize their narrow waist and big shoulders, Jimin accentuates his butt, legs and waist. He has quite a diva like appearance and mannerisms. He openly talked about insecurities and other struggles. Jimin is not your 'cool, chill, mean' boy whose life is full of parties, he doesn't post his friends on SM, he has LOTS of noncelebrity friends. I can name only about 2-3 celebrity friends he openly interact with right now. Only one of them can be considered very popular. He breaks the norms, he challenges your views, he creates standards but he doesn't fit the standards that the society has created. And let me remind you, most people want to FIT in the norms, not rebel and face confrontations. That's why people have such dichotomical view of him, you either hate him or love dearly, but he'll get your reaction either way.

So let me remind you. People project on idols. They stan who they want to be, who fits their norms and values. Whatever people say, absolute majority of the world is still conservative. Shippers are conservative, too. Tae fits society norms very well. Jungkook has had a special role since the beginning - the jack of all trades, conventionally attractive, 'cool/cold' boy image, 'playboy/fuckboy/badboy', 'boy next door'. That's what people universally like. The social butterfly with popular friends and a 'badboy' that's good at everything and wins every time they play a game. Both are conventionally attractive, fit the norms. Quite literally a perfect combination in the eyes of the public. A perfect field for self-projection and fantasy. They are literally living through taekook. That's why people are so stuck upon them and want them to be a real couple so much.

People are still mostly conservative. Here we are. Yes, they want these two to be a real gay couple. But the thing is taekookers act homophobic towards Jimin. Why? As I mentioned earlier, Jimin creates his own standards, he doesn't it in those existing. He has both masculine and feminine features. We feel threatened when we meet, face something that does not fit the norms we've been raised into, something very different. We tend to feel threatened, hateful and maybe even disgusted. Idk, but you have to be blind to not notice that Jimin likes men. There are many instances to prove it. I'm not even talking about Jungkook. By the hints he dropped recently, people say he's bisexual. Not my business. But you could see that his photofolio raised a big resonance in the fandom. There are a lot of homophobes. But I digress, so I think many people including taekookers see that Jimin is attracted to men. Hence, the gay-predator agenda they have against him. The sex*al a**aulter.

So back to the question, why jikookers get butthurt about taekookers and even taekook?

Main reason - marketing. No, it's not about HYBE.

When we see that something is popular, we tend to assume that this something is of high quality. Taekook is popular because of the reasons I've mentioned before - mainly, projecting onto them their want to be high on the social ladder based on the existing norms. Ofc, there are those that really think these two are romantically inclined, no self-projection. But the majority just goes with the flow. And the flow is youtube analysis videos, information distortion, factual mistakes. A human is quite a lazy being by nature. If they put their mind onto something, they'll will keep going with it. It hurts when your whole life view gets crushed. When you have to pick your mind parts and create something else, when you have to find a strength and maturity to admit your wrongs, especially admit it to unknown people on the Net. Lot's of people don't want a change. It takes energy and you have to go out of your comfort zone. So when a newby fan searches videos of BTS on youtube and finds a taekook analysis video and all of the people in the comments are saying that they are a real couple, a newby fan usually just goes along with it. Then he gets into the community of taekook shippers. There he finds a comfort because that's what communities are for. Probably, said community provides him more comfort than his real life one. Then the mass psychology and mass mind starts working - the said fan cannot leave his community, he doesn't want to. But to keep being in that community you have to share similar views and norms or you just become an outcast. So he starts diving deeper into the videos, believes it more and more, he doesn't watch other ships videos because he already went with the flow and doesn't want to change his mind. He gets emotionally and psychologically involved. If there is not so much of grounding in his real life, then he become even more emotionally involved in ship. Every little thing that doesn't go according to the views he shares with the community makes him angry. He's angry, the only way to resolve his anger and balance his mind is to shit on others. The more the reality doesn't go according to you, the more you become frustrated hence angry. Then you go and create more theories and conspiracies. Because it soothes your mind. You are in this shit very deep, your probably dull life became more intense and emotionally eventful since you joined the community, found your people, found those you can project on and feel like a cool, mean guy. Emotional rollercoster is fun.

So I think the main reason jikookers become pressed is not because they TRULY believe it (but yeah, the things said about taekookers applies to a lot of jikookers, too). It's because taekookers project onto taekook, want to be socially acceptable cool guys, get into the community, watch only the content created by taekookers, get emotionally involved due to dull life, get disappointed when they see something that challenges their mind so their first instinct is to disprove that something, that something that is different from what they assumed. They get angry, they resolve the tension by being hateful. And because taekook is popular as a ship, the scale of the anger and tension release is huge. Taekookers will do anything to not ruin their world and life views. They will blow out of the proportion things that happened, distort the facts, change them to their liking, make up connections where there is none. That's why they are loud. Not because taekook is real, but because it looks shiny and promising, because it gives you community and communication with others, makes you feel cool and mean and assert power. A human is not quite always a perfectly rational person so it feels good when someone accepts our irrational, delusional side and even fuels it. You feel seen.

Yeah, it's a cult. They are playing with you and you mfs are getting caught into this trap.

If you want to see a real chemistry go and watch jihope interactions. These two are the only pair that makes me uncomfortable despite trying my best not to be. If I was you, guys, I would fight with jihopers and spend my days disproving them, not taekook. You just fell into the trap.

I have an anon asking basically why shippers are the way that they are. Lol well here is a pretty interesting answer. Although I disagree with your ending statement about thinking jkkrs should be fighting with jihopers and disproving them. Because that also makes no sense and we shouldn't be fighting with anyone. And no "ship" should make people uncomfortable. But I do agree. People fell into the tkkr trap. I literally just said to a friend in DMs when they said how surprised they were at the reaction yesterday. And I said I wasn't. And that this reaction from everyone, tkkrs, jkkrs, non shippers, was EXACTLY what I expected because tkkrs have brainwashed and ruin this fandom into being oversensitive about anything taekook. I absolutely blame them for the drama everytime. And I think they thrive off that attention too. And everyone readily gives it to them. Even me sometimes.

Samy's acoustic gig in a bar downtown Jyväskylä, 5.12.2022 - gig report by me ✨

First of all, anyone who saw me panicking about going to this gig last night and tried to calm me down, I want you to know that your support meant the world to me and that thanks to all of you sweet people who told me it's gonna be alright and that I should totally give it a try, I had the most fun Monday night I've had in a long long while, possibly years 💖

And HUGE thanks to @thesunsetisgone for coming with me, I would've been absolutely lost without you there with me 😭 it was so great meeting you, see you again soon!! 💕

The bar was crowded as FUCK and the music (the bar's music I mean) was so loud that it was hard to hear anything. It was kinda uncomfortable and I don't see the appeal, so I don't think I'll be going to a bar again any time soon unless it's for another amazing acoustic gig 😅

This is no news to anyone who knows Samy at all but oh my god he was so smiley and happy and relaxed and cute and 😭😭😭 he was in his element, and although there were quite a few songs I didn't recognize (until later watching the videos I filmed lol), I had the time of my life just looking at him. He is such a charismatic performer, not at all diva-like, quite the contrary; he seems super down to earth and just the sweetest person 🥺

His Samy-like humour included his typical "I don't actually know how to play this" jokes (especially when he played LS songs lol), and at one point when he got too hot and took his jacket off, revealing his beautiful red silk shirt he was like (roughly translated) "I'm supposed to be this trashmetal dude, but instead I look like some fucking magic carpet" 😂💞

Songs that he covered included You Give Love a Bad Name by Bon Jovi (lol who else), The Kill (Bury Me) by 30 Seconds to Mars, a BMTH song I didn't recognize because I don't listen to BMTH but I was told it's Joonas' favourite song (Drown), the beginning of Stan by Eminem (until he went "I'm not actually gonna play this" just before the rap part 😆 I have this on video, probably gonna post later!), and Alone by Heart

Out of LS songs he played Awake (😭😭😭😭😭😭) and 112. During the latter he made us do a fun dialogue kinda singing where he sang some parts of the chorus and we had to sing the next line 🥺

My personal highlight was when he 😭😭😭😭 he played 😭😭😭💘💘💘 he played I Will Follow You Into The Dark by Death Cab For Cutie and 😭😭😭😭 I don't think you understand, this is one of my favourite songs in the entire world and I was this 🤏 close to elbowing my way through the crowd to snog him directly on the mouth for playing it 💞

Out of context: he looked me in the eyes and told me I was beautiful

In context: he sang a Finnish song (!!!!!!!!!!!!! a rare occasion, he told us) in which the chorus goes "you are beautiful, and the world is yours" (Maailma on sun by Tehosekoitin) and I SWEAR he looked right at me one time when he sang that line, I REFUSE to believe otherwise 😤

Actually I feel like we made eyecontact quite a few times, but that might as well have been an optical illusion (or wishful thinking 😔)

He also began to sang Wonderwall like the troll he is, but then he was like "fuck no am I gonna play that song" 😆 and @thesunsetisgone may correct me if I'm wrong but it was then when he started playing The Boulevard of Broken Dreams by Green Day and...I don't have video material of what happened next because ????? 😂

He hadn't gotten too far into the song when this 60-year-old guy (I know this because the man himself said he was soon turning 60), somewhat drunk, assumably a friend of Samy's, got on the "stage" (there was no stage) and wanted to duet the song with him, but then neither of them could remember any more lyrics, so the random man took out his phone and googled the lyrics, and when Samy looked at his phone he cracked up because apparently the man had googled the lyrics to Basket Case instead 🤣 the man was insistent on singing this song instead though, but Samy was like "I don't know how to play that?!" and then he pointed at someone in the front row like "you come up here and play this!" and suddenly a wild Mirko appeared! 😃 and then they played Basket Case with Mirko on the guitar and the whole bar sang along ✨

I would also like to thank Samy for making me cross one thing off my bucket list: the last song he performed was Livin' On a Prayer and I've ALWAYS wanted to sing along to that song in a crowd of people singing along with me, so Mr. Elbanna you really made this dream of mine reality 🙏

Damn, I really wish I had told him all this 😔 I mean, I did get the opportunity, because after the gig was over, we went to the restaurant side of the place to put on our outerwear, and Samy was there?? Right next to us???? And first we were like "omg he's right there" but just continued putting on our jackets, but then we were like "no, let's go take pictures with him!"

And so, yeah, we did 🥰 and he was so sweet 😭💕

Thank you kind sir, this evening gave me so much joy you have no idea 🥺💖

When we got out of the bar we had a minor fangirling moment ("OMG WE JUST MET SAMY!!!")...and then a couple of shabby-looking dudes came to ask if we sell speed 🤡 because apparently your average speed-salesperson looks like this:

To conclude, I had the best time and I'm so happy I went and all the panic and nervousness was SO worth it <3

List of things I am, gathered from my haters:

Condesceding - I get this one often, you've been warned. Nevemind how atrociously condesceding the ask I was responding to was, nevermind that I may be responding to a death threat or simply being assertive towards someone rude, I am always, always, always condesceding. Because, after all, how dare I reply to an ask I got sent? I mean who the hell do I think I am?

Hypocritical - Because I run a gossip blog I guess? You do the math on that one cause I'll confess my head hurts, anyway, consider yourself officially warned and nevermind the three very legal disclaimers on this site. lol

Ugly - Especially in Jensen's eyes! They can read minds, hearts and bodies and they know what Jensen likes! Oh my! ;) ;) I am extra amused by this one though for the love of Thor I can never share why.

Arrogant - This is true, I study a whole damn lot which mean yes, at times I am arrogant but I think in this case they mean God like level arrogant so please play my ego up, K? 🤣 Think female version of Thor meets Old Hollywood Diva. Let's accept nothing less than that.

Crazy - Nevermind how I go to therapy frequently despite excelling in my life because I take care of my well being, no, I disagree with Jensen so I must, in fact, be crazy. In fact, based solely on the fact that I'm a woman stating a controversial opinion I am, by default, crazy. You' ve been warned.

Bitter Jared Stan - Jared is at the moment more successful than Jensen on every level but apparently I'm "bitter"? Cause that word so matches my personality. 🤣 Anyway, this one is a huge compliment. I consider Jared an Ambassador of Humanity which is what a real Artist is, I deeply admire him so I'll be your Bitter Jared Stan, baby! ;)

AA - That's right, not only am I am bitter Jared Stan, I am also an Ackles Army member, even though I never joined nor subscribed to this particular sect and even though I am the patron saint of roasting AAs. I guess it's one of those Bitter by night Star by Day type of things?

Jensen Hater - Left the best one for last for logical reasons, look at the one above, yeah, make it make sense.

To summarize, I'm like the female version of Soldier Boy but hotter, with Thor hair and old hollywood glam vibes or as some poor AA once tweeted "why do they write like a James Bond villain". 🤣

Now, all kidding aside, just wanted you all to know that sometimes, in some moments of life, I am all of those things: sometimes I snap at people and am rude it I haven't slept in days or am in a high tension situation with jerks ,etc, sometimes I am arrogant because I focus too much on my strengths and ignore my weaknesses just like other times I am scarily humble because I do the opposite, sometimes I am crazy because I run with unrealistic expectations and forget to balance my perceptions, sometimes I'm ugly because I have a bad day where I look bad, pick a horrible outfit or I'm in a terrible mood so I lack charisma, sometimes I'm a Jensen hater because he honestly does some pretty mean, short sighted, inconsiderate things sometimes and in those moments I hate him, sometimes I'm at the same level as an AA with the infatuation I generate towards him, I'm always a Jared fan just like I'm always a Jensen fan. My point is, depending on context, situational awareness, dynamics, I absolutely can be these things, I am human, after all.

There is no human that is always kind, always light, always good( that would truly indicate insanity because it would indicate unbalanced perceptions and mania), we all have moments and moments, it's how we handle them that matters. Hypocrisy is stating otherwise.

I know I started off funny and ended on a serious not but I just felt like saying that I'm far from perfect but this blog doesn't pretend to be anything it's not, I'm very transparent so if you disagree with anything on here please unfollow. There is never any reason to expose yourself to content that doesn't resonate with you.

Sending everyone lots of Love and I hope that, while we have fun on this blog, you also focus on your own personal legend rather than getting caught up completely in the stars you admire because you also have a contribution to bring and it is unique, please always remember that. I know fandom can get pretty toxic, please stay in touch with your core. 🤍🤍🤍

i think most twitter armies are just so used to their faves being praised and being untouchable??? because for four years they were. but now other groups are coming in and breaking records and at first they just would shit on these other groups but now bts isn't gonna be doing anything ot7 until at least 2025 (and that's a tentative estimate) so now they're bored and are looking for new faves to be weird about. the problem is that no other kpop fandom is as crazy as bts stans because we learned how to be humble and NORMAL and they just. cannot do that for some reason??? which is so funny because they'll start preaching about skz while last week they were calling them ugly dogs and bts-wannabes... like girly???

pick your poison, i guess. bts fans move the same way exols did a decade ago, just upping the ante and nonsensical behaviour to a toxic and dangerous degree. bts have never been the underdogs, not even when they started. they won several awards right out of the gate bc the music was good and was very much state of the art back then. bighit was just supremely underfunded as a small label, which made it tougher to get sales / streams (well, sales more back then) bc they couldn't afford a lot of promo. most of the monetary gain went straight into making bts happen, the company basically either was in the red or barely managed a black 0. i hate to say that bts was better when they had something to work for, bc no one should depend on their life-hood to such egregious extent they have to watch their back every time while doing what they love. but it does say something that the quality and sincerity of bts' music has declined in the past few years especially. like. i'd rather they write me bragging rap songs over their success than these hypocritical diss tracks or americanised feel-good pop.

bts fans becoming skz fans is the least surprising thing ever, same with them becoming ateez fans too despite ripping on both. but svt has ben the big enemy for years now, so it really feels a whole new level of hypocrisy has been unlocked there. fandom spaces have been toxic since the dawn of time, even within one fandom, but the way a lot of kpop and online fandom (like the pop divas or even for tv shows) has moved the needle closer to how army as a fandom space operates. i remember when i had people calling me a bad fan for not caring about shinee's sells during their last comeback when like ... i could not care less about that and i know tons of people who don't. to see army actively move into new fandom spaces and pull them into this direction annoys me, is bad for online spaces and communication as well as concert etiquette, and means more groups will drop mediocre shit. which, well, the last part is just me being annoyed untalented people are bankrolled to release music solely bc their faces are objectively nice.

You know, I was talking about singing competitions with a friend from Ghana. She has a strong singing background, first from the christian missionary church singing gospel and then, going abroad, she just loved it so much she continued.

And we got to talking about singing competitions. Since she is a very good singer with a lot of technical strong points. And she said, watching Finnish Voice or Idol was weird because so many people had the charisma, the stage presence.

But not the voice. That American singers train specifically on controlling their voice and the technical aspects, on performing it perfectly. Which is why most pop divas are from US, with Celine Dion being the best held national secret of being Canadian and representing Switzerland in Eurovision. But that’s beside the point.

So then, I remembered that when the jury results won this ESC for Sweden, and stole the victory from not Finland, but Estonia! Fuxking Estonia! And don’t get me wrong, I’m a diehard Käärijä stan but Estonia’s vocals! And then also Australia, Spain, Portugal, any country with a unique song with strong vocals. That maybe the jury is not right. They judge on the technical aspects that the common folks don’t know about but maybe that is not right.

But then I learned that the national juries are mostly made of pop music and dance experts. And Eurovision today is far more than pop music and dance. In fact, the deeper I went, the more I learned that as the national juries are now made of experts on ONLY popular music and dance.

Eurovision is pop, it’s edm, it’s folk, it’s rock, it’s metal, it’s industrial, it’s opera, it’s classical, it’s all sorts of genres. And the fact that the national juries don’t reflect this is atrocious.

And the inevitable conclusion is that if US was ever invited to the contest, they would win. And keep winning. Because of technique and all the things that a professional jury as it is now in Eurovision appreciates and (as some said) is forced to vote on would trump even the national vote.

I've been to some of these cons and there are people who are one step away from crossing personal boundaries with the celebs they have photos with. And you can see the celebs trying to be polite but being visibly uncomfortable.

When Ben and Jlo started to date again I saw a footage, they were on holiday, maybe in Italy or Spain, don't remember. They were walking on the street and people literally ambush them, taking pics, and videos, following them, screaming their names and who knows what else... When I saw that I thought if this were my life, I would be moody too and not so nice with fans. They were treated like animals or more likely an object in a museum, people can stare and take pictures. They were stripped from their human identity they were reduced to an idol, a phenomenon, an object. It was really shocking and I don't like Jlo, I think she is a diva in a bad way but I felt sorry for her at that moment. I don't think this extreme behaviour should be tolerated, no matter how big star someone is or how much money they earn. Fans don't own their life. You buy their music, movies, books etc and that is it. They don't have to live their life to appeal to a fan. We know it wouldn't happen anyway, no boyfriend, or girlfriend is ever good enough.

So I totally understand if a celeb is uncomfortable. Obviously, they should put a nice face on, especially on a con, because they know what will happen, that is work, not their free time. Try not to regifting things immediately, because that is an ass move. So here should be a middle path too, do not humiliate the celeb and they should nice to you.

Loathe, Loathe, Love you [Chapter 1] - Show show show!

I loathed this man so much. I had since trainee days, my leader, Scaramouche, always taking my side on this. And yet, somehow, people keep shipping us, as if we could ever get along.

TW/CW: Unhealthy competition, abusive entertainment companies, overworking, injuries from overworking, confusing timeline first chapter, jisungification of tartaglia (beefing with mc over everything), mildly out of character, mild bullying, anxiety, fem!reader

I watched as this man talked, trying to keep my fake smile on for the audience’s sake. I knew someone behind some screen was going to make a big fuss about how my EYES are looking at him with such PASSION. Oh, if only they knew that passion was passionate loathing. I tried to smile as brightly towards the camera as he finished, giving a forced cheery goodbye.

“Aw, what’s wrong, sweetheart?” he asked, clearly flirty. I deadpanned, glaring at him. “Are you gonna glare me to death or something?”

Kunikuzushi and I were so close, almost rivaling the twin’s closeness when it came to the group, and shared many things. One of these things being our joint hatred of the overdramatic diva of an idol named Tartaglia. Sure, maybe if I didn’t have to work with him, I might find his behavior a little cute, might just stan him, but as the current situation stands, I just find him a big pain in the ass.

During our joint trainee days, we both had accidentally run into each other. He insisted on trying to start a fight, and I almost started one when he started taking shots at Kuni. Key word, almost. While I knew they always had bad blood, I couldn’t help but want to clock him there and then for talking about my best friend that way. I had raised my fist before Lumine and Aether, my group mates, stopped us both.

Turns out the twins were best friends with this very annoying man. I seethed with Kuni in our shared room as the trio played videogames at the team dorm, very loudly. I could hear his howling of excitement with Aether through the thin walls, as I tried to complete homework in vain late at night. I couldn’t believe a trainee like him would have so much free time, or even that he should have that much free time, but apparently he did.

We both ended up having your official debuts not too long after meeting, maybe only a year or so? This put us both in direct competition, and every time one of us won an award, the other one would just have to one up the other.

The netizens were all over it by the end of the year, clearly into the beef between the two of us. Some of them would even get into it with each other, making me cringe at times, but I was grateful people were on my side- he was such a bully.

He would constantly brag about how he was the Golden Childe and I didn’t have a nickname half as cool as his, and I’d retort that at least my fans didn’t feel the need to baby my every move. Eventually, Lumine and Aether learned that maybe hanging out all together at the dorm was not the best decision, as we would fight about anything and everything at this point.

I watched in concern as he sauntered over to you before going live, two sandwiches in hand. Passing one to you, he said, “You’re welcome,” before digging into his. I opened it, looking at the note inside.

-Your fans like me better, girlie. :) - it read. I slowly craned my neck over at him. He seemed to be chuckling to himself, and I shoved him just enough to get the message but not enough to cause a fuss with the managers.

“Hey! What’s the shove for?” he asked, feigning innocence. I glared daggers at him, moving further away and eating my sandwich, pouting.

I had strolled into the meeting happily, having just gotten out of a recording session that went incredibly well. “Manager! You called me in?” I said cheerily, before my eyes landed on the red head across the room, face instantly falling. I looked towards my manager in confusion. “Manager, what is he doing here?”

“The Show would like you guys to MC for them,” she said, as his manager nodded. I looked at Tartaglia, and Tartaglia looked at me. We both groaned in annoyance.

“Your popularity has caused the masses to love your pairing as rivals, and they want more,” his manager told us. I crossed my arms.

“Don’t they also love the twins? You could just put two people who love each other and have excellent chemistry on air and people would love it,” I tried reasoning, and that guy across the table agreed.

“I want to do it, but not with her,” he said, messing with a pencil on the table. I nodded.

“Anything but us together, please,” I pleaded. The managers looked at each other and sighed.

“They really would love to have you both on. Think about it, maybe it’s your chance to prove who’s the better MC,” his manager said. We looked at each other, egged on by competition.

“It’s on, girlie,” he said, a competitive glint in his eyes. I smirked, the same glint in my own, as our managers watched tiredly.

“Oh it’s on, alright,” I said.

“So, is that a yes?” my manager asked, despite already knowing my answer. We nodded, scarily in unison.

“We’ll take it,” I stated, biting my cheek in annoyance.

I was beginning to regret my decision. Dancing together was annoying, especially when we had to do choreography that was so charged. Of course it wasn’t going to be as touchy as the original, as we both blatantly refused to touch each other, and so the choreography had to be altered at some points.

Today was the first time going live on The Show as MCs.I nervously fidgeted, shaking out my body before straightening up and getting ready to greet the audience. Tartaglia looked at me with a skeptical look, but surprisingly left me alone, marking the dance we were about to do.

We made it out onto the stage, the crowd roaring. Getting into place, we both started the first routine. Adrenaline pumped into my veins, the crowd getting impossibly louder when we flirted with each other, sending kisses and getting close to each other before pulling away. By the end of the routines, we both faced the crowd, smiling, as they chanted our names. We both stood up normally when things started to die down, walking over to the main part of the stage and standing in front of the cameras.

I beamed, incredibly happy with the abundance of my fans tonight, and we both started our script. “Hi hi hi~! I’m y/n from VIA!”

“And I’m Tartaglia from DCKZ!”

“And we’re going to be your new MCs for The Show!” we chimed, feigning closeness by leaning closer together.

During a break, I checked my phone, already flooding with the news about the two of us. Netizens were eating this up, most in love with how we started our MC year.

-Normally I’d hate Tartaglia (hardcore y/n stan, but oh my gosh do they sound and look good together!!-

I frowned at that last childish comment, drinking water, putting my phone down, and getting ready for the next parts of the show.

Tartaglia teased me throughout the show, and although our guests didn’t notice the venom behind both of our playfulness, we certainly picked up on when we had upset the other. I buttered up the audience and guest, trying to play up my cuteness, and he immediately copied, flirting with everyone. I hmphed inside as the crowd swooned over him. Unfair.

Winter Soldier: The Complete Collection by Ed Brubaker

"'There are things from the Winter Soldier days that I'm just remembering. Weapons left in the field... dangers I can still prevent. I think maybe that's the path... a way to the redemption I've been looking for.'"

About: James Barnes, former Winter Soldier and the latest Captain America, is dead. At least, that's what the world believes, and Bucky prefers it that way for now. Once upon a time, Bucky trained other Soviet soldiers like himself, and when some of them are discovered and woken from stasis, he and Natasha Romanoff set out to track them down before they cause too much destruction. One of them has been awake for longer than they realized, and he's about to make it personal. Trigger warnings: character death, violence, explosions, guns, abduction, brainwashing, captivity, implied torture, guilt.

Thoughts: I love the way Brubaker writes Team Cap, so I'm slowly working my way through that series. This collection starts off a bit bonkers with killer gorillas and Doctor Doom being a total diva, and yeah, it's about as weird as it sounds. It almost feels like it's exaggerated for comedic effect (or maybe Doom is just Like That; it's my first experience with him in the comics), which is somewhat at odds with the darker tone of the Winter Soldier story. The story finds its stride when it settles into the soldier plotline. It's briefly touched on in the MCU, but as someone who's fascinated by Bucky's history, it was cool to get a closer look at his time training the other soldiers. To no great surprise, one of them ends up being the major antagonist of the run, but I like the glimpses of empathy we see in others like Dmitri.

I enjoy Bucky's narration a lot, which helps fill in some of the story and calls to mind voiceover films like Sin City. I also just love him as a character, and Brubaker writes him with all the nuance and self-hate we've come to love from Sebastian Stan's performance. This collection is peak WinterWidow content, which also feels like a completely wasted opportunity in the MCU. I never figured out why they didn't explore Natasha and Bucky's relationship more, except for the fact that they don't know what to do with their female characters and Bucky is treated as little more than a side character. (I love the MCU, truly, but it's not without its issues.) In any case, if you ship that, this is absolutely the collection for you. Lots of battlefield partners, kisses, and angst, angst, angst. I love them together, so I had a lot of fun with it, and I enjoyed seeing other Avengers pulled into the story near the end.

While I like the artwork generally (lots of black and red in the color palette, which really sets a mood), I found it difficult to follow some of the action scenes. I can't tell if that comes down to Guice's illustrating, or if it's just that the battle scenes are so chaotic, with so many characters, guns, and explosions. I had to backtrack a couple times just to figure out what was happening or who was saying what. Also, how dare they call this a complete collection when volume four isn't included? Which, fine, Brubaker didn't write that one, but now I'm going to have to chase it down.

Ultimately, I think dogmatic headcanon is the path to gatekeeping. So many great writers and fans are out there who become intimidated by behavior that suggests they won't be included in the fandom if they disagree (or will be actively attacked, how unreal is that?).

I'm sorry that some of that dogmatic thinking has affected your experience in the fandom but blocking is good for us! If we don't curate our online experience, who will do it for us?

Note: I have views about Aemond that not everyone agrees with and soft!Aemond isn't bad, it's just not my cup of tea, but when that is the only portrayal because people aren't inclusive I get frustrated. Fanon and canon are very different. I respect both but I like to know from which the writer is operating.

“I think we did,” He answers. “But I can’t remember when. It’s like you were always there, but suddenly we weren’t... and then, we saw each other at the party...”

Those strange vibes don’t make it to morning, and neither does Delancey and Julian’s moment of peace. The waves recede as they had crashed onto the shore, and your leaders sidestep each other while putting their absolute focus on their own teams. Speaking of To-witter, Nanna is the darling of the Wittersphere! A frequent face on the feed and a ‘pure cinnamon roll’ to boot, Red Team’s going in with plenty of love on their side! As for the Blue Team, Shez has garnered some favor with the Nanna stans and is doing quite well for himself. Azama is his own sphere of influence with his own quotable tweets. However, the producers are definitely having the “don’t use #sucks2suck” convo with him...

Nanna, Azama, Elincia, Letizia, and Merric all noticed the strange vibes and would have been awake to eavesdrop on their leaders’ conversation. Edelgard wakes up as well, after a nightmare from the past...

It's a stacked deck right now I feel like. although,,, roman is so close in that #2 spot so he might just overtake asuming he can both get an actual episode where he breaks down finally and also that I don't end up still picking virgil because "my husband is an anxious emo boy too omg!!!"
