So uh I just found out Matpat is retiring from game theory.

And I definitely have a lot to say...

Matpat was pretty much like my childhood growing up. Whenever I came back from school I would just watch Game Theory and learn so much about different games and so much other stuff that has helped me with school.

And while it is sad to see him retire I think he deserves it. He has practically raised an entire generation of such smart people like so many others and while it is sad he has his own life and he wants to be there for them.

So goodbye Matpat... We will miss you but we will never forget you.

Hearing these news, it was truly heartbreaking. The DSMP rlly brought me so much joy and especially to me when I got into it. It has helped me in times of stress and struggles to take my mind off reality. This fandom has its days but I’ve been fortunate to be able to experience it with many people and the awesome friends I’ve made along the way. Just seeing a big figure that has impacted so much into something that brought me so much joy, be gone now. It definitely feels empty and makes me appreciate the hard work and effort they have brought to make us happy. I didn’t think I’d feel this much but am now realizing the impact he has done for me. It's hard to find the right things to say here. Akira Toriyama was a massive influence for us as creators. Chaos Friends wouldn't exist today without us being in awe at Dragon Ball Z as kids. We learned how to make art and comics from seeing how Toriyama would use action lines. His sense of action, speed, and paneling are truly a class of it's own. It pushed us to want to create, and write, and make cool fights and characters. It's difficult to imagine how things would have been for many of us without Toriyama's imaginative worlds. I've been a wrestling fan for 17 years now. Lots of wrestlers passed away during those years, some hurt more than others for me. I immediately think of Scott Hall and Roddy Piper. But the thing is, I didn't get to witness them in their prime. I didn't see them become superstars, legends. I learned about them later, I watched their stuff thanks to the internet. And they were not 36 years old.

I was already into wrestling when Bray started. I saw him as Husky Harris, Bray Wyatt and The Fiend. I saw him becoming this star. I witnessed his genius on my screen, his creativity, his talent.

His death just hit differently.

No one should die at 36 years old, leaving four little kids behind.

He had so much more to give us, to show us. I'm glad that he won the world championship when he did, that he had the matches he had, that the WWE trusted his talent.

Thank you, Bray. You'll be missed but never will you be forgotten.
