Feeling weirdly emotional that we're going from this:
to this
idk maybe this is just a me thing, maybe this is just from rewatching S1 last night, but going from Blackbeard, shrouded in mystery, where at that point the viewers still think he's going to be a Big Baddie, and we meet him at night surrounded by dark shadows and bloodshed with a big beard and his hair partially shielding his face...
and now we have Ed. Out and about in broad daylight, running some errands, as you do. Still has a beard but we see so much more of his face. And he's irritated and fed up and hurt and in love but also... a lil goofy. He's Ed. He's in love. We're still peeling off the layers to learn more about him but he's so, so real.
I'm just so excited to have him back.

i mean this in the like... nicest way possible, but there is no way to post your writing and/or art on the internet without running the very high risk of it getting scraped, whether you post it on tumblr, pillowfort, or ao3. sites being 'anti ai' does not mean your art cannot be scraped. it is simply almost impossible to prevent, much less guarantee that. I'm not saying this to be a pessimist or to stop people from being rightfully pissed about this. it sucks. massively so! but if the idea does in fact bother you that much, you should know that moving sites won't fix the issue. ao3, as far as we know, has been scraped/is getting scraped. you can set your fics so that only logged in users can access them, but it only makes scraping one step more difficult, and by no means impossible and the otw has stated this clearly.
which, again, this sucks! i don't have a great solution either!! but tumblr is relatively honest, at least, when it tells you that it cannot prevent, only discourage it. ao3 said the same thing. any site promising you otherwise is, to the best of my knowledge, lying to you.

Valentine's Day is coming up, and as an aromantic person with a committed romantic partner, we want to say :
if you have a romantic partner, or want one, you are still aromantic and valid.
if you want to celebrate Valentine's Day in a "traditional" romantic sense, you are still aromantic and valid.
you are allowed to love love - even romantic love - and still be aromantic. you are still just as aromantic as others on the arospectrum.
we understand feeling a little alienated from Valentine's posts directed towards aromantics due to the fact that they tend to focus around a dislike of the focus on romance.
so here's a post for us aromantics who enjoy Valentine's Day, for the romantic aspect of it.
and let me remind you again - you are just as aromantic as someone who is more romance repulsed.
