Can't believe there are still anti-maskers who won't wear it in the few places it's still required. Like, my autistic ass has been masking for years, shut up.

MONKEYPOX
multiple Monkeypox cases across Europe... (and first one in USA) which just proves people are NOT taking precautions, because  the same sht you do to prevent Covid spreading would stop this. oh, and just like with AIDS they are doing the gay shaming "only gays get it" thing.  BRO, UNLIKE HIV this shit is AIRBORNE... last i checked you dont need to be gay to BREATHE
Monkeypox is highly contagious to airborne droplets, some surfaces, and touch. a smallpox vaccine is 85% effective against Monkeypox
WEAR A MASK WASH UP DONT HANG AROUND PEOPLE especially not indoors

Reminder - as the news talks about shortages in school bus drivers and teachers that they are neglecting the actual cause of those "shortages" in personnel was because in 2018 certain elected officials (cough, MAGAt republikkkans) allowed a conman to dismantle the pandemic response unit.
Which allowed covid19 to run rampant in this country for over a year. So when the news talks about labor shortages, just remember republikkkans allowed over 1 MILLION unnecessary deaths with their indifference.

These pandemic years have taught me that a major insight into a person's character is to what degree, if any, they're willing to endure a little inconvenience for the sake and safety of others.

I have not done of these in a minute. But way less people are masks at my job. People (costumers and workers) are always coming in sick as shit. It’s also so fun /s when people are like “oh I’m quarantining right now but I got bored”. I’m going to screaming this to the end of the time. Because this shit is not going to get better because protecting people (including sick pay) hurts the economy or whatever capitalist drivel. And like in general I am fighting the cdc one day. And it’s funny because the cdc directed recently got covid and was out 18 days. And not even like tweeting/working at home to boost morale or whatever. Like radio silence for 18 days. But the rest of us at best get 5 fucking days. When people still test positive on day 6.

The moments where I feel like I’m doing better are so fleeting that I question if they even existed in the first place. This isn’t easy for anyone, but think of you immunocompromised friends before you go be reckless with your health. It effects us too.

Hey, HEY if you have covid symptoms, tested positive, were around someone positive, etc DONT FUCKING GO OUTSIDE WITHOUT QUARANTINING FOR AT LEAST 5 DAYS. I do not care if you have a negative test, you need to be quarantined for at least 5 days before you're safe to go back out in public. This pandemic is not over, we need to stop treating it like it is. Social distance, wear a mask, wash your goddamn hands. Thank you.

Just your regular reminder to those of you (that’s most of you) not masking because you’re “not high risk” and “don’t have a preexisting condition” that a covid infection is a preexisting condition and you are now high risk.
[ID: Tweet from LizWhatsHerFace @RealGayArbys “Look at this graph. If you're on infection number two or three, your risk of being hospitalized if you get Covid again is VERY heightened. And your risk of a lot of other bad stuff happening is higher too. You need to act accordingly. You likely don't know what number you're on.” Graph showing the impact of reinfections from Covid on hazard ratio from various conditions, US Veterans affairs population. Data comes from a 2022 study published in Nature titled "Acute and postacute sequelae associated with SARS-CoV-2 reinfection." As the study abstract states, the data shows that "First infection with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) is associated with increased risk of acute and postacute death and sequelae in various organ systems."]

Wearing a mask is easy. I like seeing my loved ones alive, instead of the selfish people out there that enjoy harming others.

So, my mother in law infected me with what I think is RSV. She had a cold before she came to see us, didn't tell us she'd been sick, and proceeded to cough up a storm. She said it had only been a minor thing for her.
See here's the thing though. I'm going on day 5 of excruciating pain, coughing, illness, tiredness, fatigue, and all the other symptoms. I've lost two days of pay because I've been unable to work. And it doesn't seem to be letting up at all. I'm the sickest I've been so far and not getting better yet.
The thought process of "well it was minor for me so who cares who I give it to" is so selfish and fucked up and I kinda wish anyone operating that way a painful death. Because I've got no doubt they've caused painful deaths with their attitudes.
I'm an immunocompromised adult. The last 3 years have been one exercise after another of asking people around me to care about me and people like me and their ongoing response being "but it's so harrrrrrddddd."
I'm so angry and so tired that I keep paying the price for other people's selfish decisions.

Anti vaxxers.
I got the covid vaccine. Both of them. I got the booster too. Like most people. Or at least like everyone should have.
I got covid a week before my birthday. It wasn’t a ‘no symptom’ case. It was fucking terrible. Though I’m glad I didn't get covid in the beginning. I wore a mask everywhere and I still do. Except of course I wore a mask to the My Chemical Romance show and didn't keep my mask on the whole time. I’m an idiot. Immediately after that I felt like shit. It felt like a head cold. My chest hurt and I was coughing. I was wheezing and just felt overall terrible. I made a doctors appointment. I tested for covid again on the Monday after the show. I was positive. I had three negative tests prior. It sucked and on day 10, I felt better but not 100%. I went back to work. They had given me an inhaler which was originally $280 and after going back and forth with insurance they finally covered some of it. It reduced to $120 which is still a lot for a fucking inhaler. I was supposed to use it for 2 weeks. Those two weeks ended so I stopped using the inhaler. I was back to wheezing. My cough wasn't really improving. I kept using the inhaler and I called the doctor again. That was this past Monday. October 3rd. Mind you, I tested positive for covid on September 12th. I was still wheezing. My doctor told me to take the inhaler for.. two MONTHS. I don’t have asthma and I’m sorry for anyone who does because this blows. He ordered an x-ray. I got the call yesterday that I have PNEUMONIA. It’s contagious and I’m out of work yet again. I don’t want to be sick anymore. I have a lot of health issues as it is and this bs on top of my normal bs is a lot.
TL;DR GET FUCKING VACCINATED. I honestly don’t even want to imagine how much worse it would have been if I didn't.

OK. I get that mask mandates are pretty much gone now. But can everyone just have some common courtesy?? If you're sick, please wear a mask. If you know you've been exposed to someone sick, please wear a mask. Not just for covid but for literally everything.
