look. I know we already kind of know what Webby’s human form looks like, considering we saw it in Nightmare Time…but considering we saw the Lords in Black’s full human forms in Nerdy Prudes Must Die, I am currently desperate to see her onstage in a Hatchetfield musical. I want to see the little details of her costume that we might not get over Zoom calls! Does she look like a gothic spider, or would she have more of a preppy aesthetic? With pleated white skirts, or something, I don’t know. I want to see the spider themes in the costume - the little webs, the spiders maybe even crawling on her dress. I think it would also be cool if we saw her hands constantly twitching onstage, as if she’s always weaving a web.

(this might also be for cosplay reasons. I am weak, okay?)

As I scroll Tumblr during this spooky season, I notice a lot of very good fanart depicting Ducktales (2017) characters in Halloween costumes, and it gets me to thinking how big of a crime it is that we only got one Halloween episode.

Seriously, we got two Christmas episodes, three if you count 'The Impossible Summit of Mt. Neverrest!', which does take place in the Christmas season, but doesn't have much in the way of holiday themes and doesn't use a different title-sequence, but only one Halloween one, we were robbed on that front.

Anyway, all this is to say, if we got a second Halloween special, what costumes do you reckon the characters would wear, I'll go first.

Scrooge - the same glowing skeleton costume, that guy is not gonna be buying a new costume every year.

Huey - the burning JWG he once hallucinated, gotta spread that nightmare fuel.

Dewey - Darkwing Duck, he's doing a costume with LP

Louie - Webby, she's family now, so free reign to dress as. Yes he is just wearing a bow in his hair, but damn if it isn't convincing.

Webby - Scrooge, we all know she's secretly been cosplaying as him for years, but, now she's passed the 'it has to be scary' thing you know she's going to be dressing as him at every possible opportunity.

Lena - in contrast to her usual look, something a lot brighter. She isn't wearing any costume, per se, and she definitely isn't copying several elements from Webby's normal clothes, and is not competing with Louie.

Violet - normal clothes, she doesn't realise it's Halloween.

LaunchPad - Gosalyn, he's doing a costume with Dewey, and as this is his first proper Halloween he's gone all out, and it's the quite possibly the most horrifying thing ever.

Donald - Storcules, he won't mind, they're best friends (acquaintances!)

Della - Selene, good combo with Donald.

Penumbra - Della has dragged her along, no she isn't in any special costume, because she's scary enough as is.

Duckvember - Haggard and Gaudy Duck (Ducks)

I drew two drawings on the occasion of two topics. The first drawing related to Haggard Duck I did for Miss Emily Quackfaster since she is my typical office related duck lady and has a lot of work to do. Yes, usually Miss Quackfaster is portrayed as an older woman, which she certainly is, but she is definitely an interesting person since she does a lot of work. I took this version of Quackfaster from the Italian comics since I like that version better and she does a lot of typing on a typewriter and at a laptop while Scrooge dictates to her. Yes, Scrooge doesn't have much faith in new technology, so Miss Quackfaster has to type on both machines, one old, the other modern.

The second drawing is related to the Gaudy Duck theme, so I drew Donald's nephews, Huey, Dewey and Louie with Webby Vanderquack as the gangsters. Took inspiration from the Ducktales 1987 episode "The Good Muddahs" where Webby was kidnapped by the Beagle Babes, but in the end Webby and HDL disguise themselves as gangsters similar to Bobby and Clyde, the famous gangster couple from the late 1920s and early 1930s era. Of course, since they're kids, they dress up a little too casually, and Webby wears a big necklace. And that the nephews have their water guns as well as dynamite so be careful with them. Lords In Black AU (NPMD SPOILERS AHOY)

I’ve been thinking of a human!Lords In Black au (but like, they got turned human and their powers are limited by their itty bitty human neural pathways and they hate it so much). Webby is their guardian and living with Miss Holloway as she enrolls them in school and stuff to try and teach them that humans are pretty alright.

Their designs are based on the actor’s depictions of them, if there’s multiple depictions mixing the appearances. Webby is Mariah with inexplicably white hair, Blinky is a mix of James and Lauren’s versions (leaning Lauren’s outfit wise), Pokey is based on Corey with elements of the Otho Puppet, Nibbly is very based on Kim, and Tinky is a mix of Jeff and Curt’s portrayals.

But I can’t decide if I should base 12yo Wiggly’s design on his whole sinister kingly beanpole vibe w Jon or if it would be funnier if he leaned hard into the doll as a chubby-cheeked cutie while stamping his foot and protesting that he’s THE Lord In Black why isn’t he the oldest BLINKY. His age (12-13) is for this joke and also so he can be in the same class as Hannah.
