I feel that something BAD is going to happen in the webcomic. Maybe is the way Saitama's farewell is framed? Maybe they're going to be separated for a while again like in the MA arc? And if so, will he arrive in time when Genos (probably) faces Metal Knight?
These panels in particular gave me the most......👀;;;; uneasy foreboding feeling, yes. Cause for all the 'Genos, yes!' moments this ch, him proposing they split up while he takes on the facility alone had me like, 'Genos, nooooo~'
The grave silence here is so....loud 😬 Especially Saitama's long awkward pause to respond, cause he's on a promise by Kuseno to stick by and make sure nothing bad happens to Genos, but if he's also to trust Genos' strength & judgement, he's also not going to fight him on this either. And so....
They part ways (for the time being.) But if Saitama's smart, it's not like him to completely leave/abandon Genos all alone on his quest either, especially with the huge danger present and Saitama's hanging promise to Kuseno to keep. I should hope Saitama comes back in time to tail and check on Genos, as this is the one time (on Genos' final body even) they need to be really careful. (As Saitama reminds him...)
However, what makes me really uneasy is the fact that wc Saitama has not yet experienced the feeling of losing Genos the same way that manga Saitama has. D: So I kinda fear how evil ONE may be here. Genos could very well find himself in over his head or led into a trap (or worse) and there's no knowing yet how far things will escalate. The panel of Genos so on edge that he swings at Saitama's shadow thru the dust I hope is not some weird foreshadowing thing towards say, if Genos gets captured & brainwashed that the next time they meet they have to face/fight each other as enemies D: aaa. There's almost a doomed sense of finality to their farewell here......(the vibes alone are certainly charged with...something despite how casual it appears on the surface.) So for both their sakes, I hope Saitama remains extra vigilant and ready to respond to whatever happens.

Saigenos emotions
So if Genos still continues to be self-destructive after the happenings in the webcomic, I could foresee Saitama being genuinely pissed at Genos' lack of care in himself, especially if it's a sore subject like Rampaging Cyborg where Genos would probably not give a single shit about himself even if he got hurt, as long as his family was avenged. He wants to make sure he would win, no matter the cost to himself.
Saitama can express empathy, but I don't think Saitama fares well with sadness, most of his negative feelings are expressed as annoyance, indignance and anger and at times, apathy.
Meanwhile Genos would blow a fuse because he would think Saitama doesn't understand just how important this revenge quest is for him.
If Genos doesn't give his everything on the mission to get revenge on the Rampaging cyborg, then what is he and what is he doing? It would feel like he failed his family, failed himself and everything he did was for naught and he's just been sitting idle and wasting time. It would also feel like betrayal if Saitama doesnt support him.
Saitama would be so, so incensed because Genos declaring it would be worth giving up his life for revenge is him basically saying Genos sees no value in himself and that hurts Saitama deeply, because he feels the opposite, that Genos has brought a lot into his life and the commended Genos on becoming stronger on this aspect not too long ago. Saitama doesn't really talk about his feelings, but at some point it should be said out loud.
They'd almost come to blows too because Genos wants to go blow up the Rampaging cyborg and Saitama doesn't let him, because he would end up getting hurt in a way that cannot be repaired any longer.
Saitama trusts Genos, but he also worries for his well-being so much. Saitama would have to use actual debilitating force on Genos to stop him because Genos has grown so strong at this point and he definitely doesn't want to do it. He definitely doesn't want to break Genos.
This one time anger and frustration would make way to sadness and Saitama would cry, because Genos is his best friend and he values him as a person and he doesn't want Genos to just throw it all away. That or Genos starts crying first because it hurts him that Saitama doesn't let him avenge his family and Saitama is so strong he can't just run away from him. But upon seeing Genos cry, that is the final nail in the coffin on Saitama's emotions and the floodgates open and when Genos sees Saitama actually cry, he's so shocked his own anger just deflates.
Saitama bottles up his emotions and it would be good on Saitama to actually cry his eyes out once in a while and now that he has a social circle, show that it's acceptable to also cry. Saitama and Genos would patch up by hugging each other.

Time for a Crackpot Theory (Webcomic Spoilers)
One-Punch Man Webcomic readers might remember this guy. The Neo Leader and Great Prophet Infelsinave, founder of the Church of Otherworldly Reincarnation. He had nearly a million loyal followers, and he joined the Neo Heroes to fight for justice or something.
I don't think he ever said a single fuggin' word, so I guess if one wanted to list his positive traits, you could call him stoic and humble.
His fighting abilities were probably negligeable, other than the well-built suit of armor underneath his regal robes, but he was elected a Neo Leader due to his admittedly vast influence.
He had divine powers, whatever that means.
To be quite honest, I use the phrase "might remember" because he's pretty forgettable.
He was murdered recently.
As you can see, he had a tough go of it during his first battle and wound up dead in the road.
I'm here to give the prophet his due and investigate his murder a little. Let's put on our detective hats and examine the evidence.
He got a hole punched in his Neo Hero armor by a monster.
The monster killed him, then bounced. It's quite possible that's all it was; a monster saw Infelsinave, brutally ran him through, then walked away.
But notice that his homies were there to witness the murder. A horde of allies who were as weak as Infelsinave survived the attack without so much as being looked at by the murderer.
Are monsters usually that selective? No! Monsters are typically connoisseurs of surplus killing, like weasels targeting hordes of hapless mice.
So, why didn't the monster go on to maul the rest of the Neo Heroes present? Why were the other humans on-scene not worth its aggression?
So, that's my first piece of evidence; the monster seemed to have a grudge against Lord Infelsinave specifically.
But we don't know a single person with enmity towards Lord Infelsinave, do we? He had a lot of followers, which means he probably had plenty of detractors. Maybe there was a monster who hated cult leaders? In that case, we'd have no idea who killed him.
But what if, and bear with me on this, the monster didn't have a beef with Infelsinave in particular?
What if the monster was looking for a different person, and mistook Infelsinave for someone we know a little better?
I have a long-shot theory; whatever attacked Infelsinave was actually hunting our friendly neighborhood Saitama.
Both are bald, both wear flowing garments (Saitama's cape, and Infelsinave's dorky cloak), and though their similarities are only passing, Saitama has a bland enough look that Infelsinave's attacker might have made the honest mistake of killing the Neo Leader like a dog without taking a closer gander for Saitama's trademark perfunctory visage.
Now, who has the power to smash through Neo Hero armor like butter, a grudge against Saitama, and the speed to assault Infelsinave and leave before his Neo Hero squad could react?
Well...any Demon-level monster, really. Awakened Cockroach, Bug God, Royal Ripper, or even the Lion Eating Zebra could probably speedblitz Infelsinave and leave, unfraught by any Neo Goon resistance.
But I have a theory.
It was THIS GUY. The Ninja Village Leader!
He has the skills,
he has the motive,
and he's so unfamiliar with Saitama that mistaking Infelsinave for him would be believable.
Call me a gormless gumshoe. Mistake my detective hat for tin-foil. But I'd bet a fat Hamilton ($10) that the Ninja Village Leader is the culprit who eliminated Infelsinave, and he did it under the mistaken belief that he was taking down Saitama, the man who beat him up and stole all his cool ninja stuff.
Mystery solved!
"But BadJohn, Infelsinave is alive!"
No he's not. That's baloney. That guy is a fucking robot husk designed to fool his followers and steal all his money.
I'm not crazy, YOU'RE crazy

HE'S BACK: THE THIRD? (does Garou returning in the manga and webcomic count as two separate times?)
Absolutely! Cause the manga & wc are basically two separate canons at this point - one where he's got a guardian, a home, and a makeshift dojo 'family' to help provide for, and the other where he's off on his own again as a lone wolf making ends meet doing odd jobs playing to his literal strengths, doing construction work this time!
(The manga route where he kept the face scar and lol ONE totally drew him with massive guns in that tank top!) Thanks ONE for the early xmas present!
