This is the situation in my writing life:

My brain: Girl, you do NOT need a new WIP. You have plenty. One of them has a deadline. MCD feels neglected. Me @ my brain: Yes, but.... what if.... Tears of the Kingdom inspired Snowbaz reunion fic?

Anyway, here's some of that. Baz's POV, because I can. It got a bit long, but you know what, here we go:

I remember the first time I saw a Sky Island. We'd just arrived at Heathrow. We were all a mess. One moment, Simon and I were on the beach, the next Bunce comes yelling about troubles at Watford, and then we're back home in England and all of us are being ushered in a car by Mitali Bunce. (Well, almost all of us. Wellbelove refused to come along and when Professor Bunce found out Shepard is a Normal, he wasn't allowed to join.) Professor Bunce drove us to Watford and I could see something was wrong. Some buildings were destroyed. Huge boulders had fallen down on them. I was so shocked and confused by the sight on the surface that I didn't even think about the sky. The moment we got out of the car, Simon put his hand on my shoulder and told me to look up. Sky Islands. They were everywhere. Professor Bunce started talking about how they just appeared overnight and that no one knew where they came from and it seemed like Normals cannot see them. They first appeared above Watford, but they've been popping up everywhere and chunks have fallen down, creating chaos and confusion on the surface The World of Mages needed everyone who was willing to help and Bunce and I didn't have to think long about it. Simon, on the other hand, was more doubtful. "It's alright. Take your time," I said. "Right," Simon said back, still looking at the sky. Bunce and I were ordered to go to whatever was left of the White Chapel. Simon decided to stay behind for, since he wasn't officially part of this brand new investigation team. I kissed his cheek. I said goodbye. I told him that he should go home and rest and that I'd see him later. I didn't know that that was the last time I'd see him.

Yeah, so, uh, just like in AWTWB, Simon walks out. But unlike AWTWB, Baz doesn't find him again. Gosh... I wonder where he went, with his wings and everything.

Meanwhile, small update on my Klaine fic: Waffle the chinchilla has been found! If you're reading this, feel free to come up with more names for little animals. I have 7 vacant spots.

HAPPY NEW YEAR !! it's new years eve for me at the moment and i know some countries have already entered 2024 (timezones still baffle me), but i wanted to thank you all for an amazing year. i started writing wednesday in december of last year and for some reason, you people still write with me. i loved loved loved this journey and some of you helped me in more ways than you'll ever know. but i'm glad to have met all of you and if i haven't bothered you yet, i will bother you in this new year.

2023 was a good year and returning to this hellsite to write was one of the best choices i've made. i'm so glad for all of you. for being patient, for being kind, for spending time with me even if we're far away. this year i've reconnected with an old writing partner which is crazy because we met on another platform and the internet is vast, so what were the chances?

so i'm here to tell you that everything will fall into place at the right time. there will be downs, but only because you were up. and the ups will come again. whatever you do, whatever path you take, i want you to know that it'll all be alright. and someone out there is grateful for you and your existence. i'm wishing you all a happy new year and i can't wait to see / hear what 2024 has in store for us.

You know what I hate about the Wednesday Fandom? How people hate against Wenclair because "Why can't two girls just be friends???" Well because Enid is written as a way better love interest than Tyler and Xavier (as characters they're good, as love interests they're basic as shit) and because people can ship whoever the hell they want as long as they aren't causing any harm and shoving it down people's throats. "But Enid has a boyfriend!!!" Well guess what, Ajax x Enid is pretty forced too. Granted they have pretty good development together and are cute but we don't know anything about Ajax so it's hard to ship him with a character who in 8 episodes grew as a person in many ways. And y'know what else I hate?? When people respect Wenclair but don't ship it, and then they get a bunch of hate for it. There's a good chance Wenclair won't become canon anyways unfortunately so why do people get hate for not shipping it? Some only see them as friends, and that's fair. It's about time we respect each other's opinions over fictional characters and relationships. We're all temporary anyways, so why even waste time fighting on ships in a show?? Some people like Wenclair, some don't, and that's okay. People who like wenclair aren't forcing anything, and people who don't like it (for reasons other than because they're both girls) aren't homophobic. This is ridiculous. Grow up.

FLUFF, ANGST OR SMUT? . . . my nature dictates only angst. i know how to crush my own heart and others in a way that isn't actually harmful. fluff is also nice and harder to write at least from my perspective. as for smut, i never wrote it per se, but i'm never declining the posibility if there's chemistry and the other mun is okay with it!

PLOTS OR MEMES? . . . i can't really pick here. plots are fun because we get to throw ideas and yell about how our muses would end up. but also memes!!! we can get as many scenarios possible to test how our muses would handle them. and lastly, even if it's not here, feel free to send anything, even random starters / memes that you feel like sending to any of my muses! if you thought about something your muse would do / say, then rest assured wednesday and i would be down to play it out. as long as we're both having fun, the sky is the limit!

TIME TO WRITE? . . . nighttime. sitting in pitch black with only my monitor on, when there's almost complete silence, close to the witching hour if possible. bonus points if there's a storm outside. otherwise, it depends on my schedule, i could also write in the mornings / afternoons if i'm available.

LONG OR SHORT REPLIES? . . . i tend to write long replies. the most i counted was roughly 900 words. it happens every so often when i get possessed by wednesday herself. i only start with something short like one liner if i want to write as many starters possible, though.

ARE YOU LIKE YOUR MUSE(S)? . . . for wednesday i think we're both into creepy, mysterious and spooky stuff, including paranormal and murder cases. i enjoy writing just like her and our sense of humor can be dark / morbid. i was and still am somewhat of an outcast, but unlike weds, i don't do it on purpose. i'm also very fond of moments of silence, hence why i mostly write at nighttime. there are also these lyrics that came to my mind from the addams family animated movies you don't wanna mess with me, cause if you mess with me you're messing with my family, which is lowkey relatable. i'm friendly and will take a load of crap before i snap. but if you threaten me or someone i care about, i'm suddenly the best private investigator, best lawyer and would fight someone one foot taller than me. it also helps that my family is the same for the most part. wednesday also grew up with a graveyard behind her house and my aunt and uncle do live in front of a cemetery, and i visit them whenever i can so there's that. i don't have spider pets but i don't kill them if i find them around the house, on the contrary, i give them names (they're always peter, pete, p.t. or smth among those lines) and tell them to catch flies and feast on them. my granny from dad's side was also dabbling with magic which was passed down to yours truly! that's all folks, there's probably more but i'm ending this here.
