Today I learned that when your muscles are sore from working out, they retain more water to help themselves heal. The resulting water weight can be an increase of 2kg (~5lbs). So if your muscles are sore and your weight goes up, like mine did this morning, don’t worry. Your muscles are practicing self care.

i think people who don’t have eds don’t get that when we binge, we eat much more than what we should usually get as a daily calorie intake, it’s not a “oh i ate two cals over my limit, i binged!” no. we ate up to thousands of calories.

Me: *restricts all the week, gets frustrated that for no reason my scale number didn't drop, even when I literally feel like I'm going to die, start thinking this is fuckin useless, and my metabolism is already messed up, so I might just eat like a normal person for just one day to see if it helps, go to the kitchen and not even have a binge, just go over 600 cal but keep under 1000, go and stand up in the scale and cry bc I'm fat af and never gonna be able to wear a cute crop top without feeling horrible and cry all day long. Repeate every Friday.*

VERY COOL AND SUPER USEFUL INFO I RECENTLY FOUND OUT ABOUT CALORIE CUTTING!!
Ok so, you’ve got you’re maintaining cal’s, this depends from person to person, but for me it’s 1,200 cal’s, if i wanted to maintain my weight that’s how much i eat. (there are lots of yt videos about finding yours :))
Now, to be in a calorie deficit which is how many you need to lose weight, you’ll subtract 200-500 in order to lose weight.
HOWEVER
in about 4 weeks, the amount of calories you’re eating in the deficit becomes your new maintenance cals, this is why we tend to hit a plataue.
so start cut cycles!
A cut cycle is where you eat your calorie deficit amount, for me that’s about 800-900 cals, and do this for three weeks
then You’d go back to your maintenance for 2 weeks, and repeat.
By doing this, you will not only prevent plateau, but you won’t have to keep on cutting calories and go lower and lower. it’s permanent, healthy weightloss!
