This has been on my bedside table for ages now, you can't really binge-read Lovecraft, and I find I need to concentrate to follow what's happening. I'd read a few before and knew others from elsewhere, but The Colour Out of Space was new and the standout for me.

Weird family stories revolving around my dads serial killer behavior as a child

he has three sisters and they almost always had hamsters when they were children except they stopped after my dad for the fifth time squeezed the hamsters to death and stuffed them in the couch cushions

Where my dads side of the family grew up it was hot so obviously they had a pool and one day when it was hot out and they were outside my dad strapped his little sister the youngest into a stroller and pushed her into the pool my dads uncle saved here and she is still alive

Ridiculous things that happened in school:

One guy would always wear his backpack backwards. Like on his chest instead of his back.

A kid set fire to the sink (put papers towels in sink and lit it on fire.) He never got punished cause our school sucked ass. Next year he did it again.

A boy managed to parkour himself onto the roof of the cafeteria. He did not know how to get back down.

Two boys switched pants with each other in class. Like took off their pants and traded them in front of the whole classroom.

A girl asked my friend for a pair of scissors, then asked the teacher to go to the bathroom. She came back with bangs. She cut bangs for herself in the girls bathroom at school using borrowed scissors. Power move.

For a project we had to make brochures and present them. One boy said "I made mine a bit bigger so everyone could see" and then proceeded to pull out a tri-fold board.

During a theatre performance someone's phone went off. It was the Mario theme song. It echoed through the theater, killing everyone instantly. Best part is it wasn't a students phone, but an adult lady's.

We were in theatre and had to write a skit based off of a kids story. A group did Horton Hears a Who. The name was "Horton Hears a Who 2: The Electric Boogaloo: JoJo's not his son. " It was set as a game show meant to reveal your ancestry. What it did reveal was that the mayors wife cheated on him with the mailman. It was a true masterpiece, complete with a squeaky pubescent voice from JoJo, who looked like a human version of the character.

The Void

The Void is a mysterious reality located at an unknown point within the Ultraverse. Though methods of accessing The Void are largely unknown or forgotten, the usage of powerful objects in tandem with one another has shown possible ways of accessing The Void, as was demonstrated by the Collapse of Reality in Universe 0, which occurred as a result of clashing energy releases by the eight Crystals of Creation and the Obsidian of Destruction. Being completely pitch black, The Void is a highly dangerous place, home to countless different things; the Man in the Suit and his “employers” are known the house their “employees” in a sort of stasis with The Void; The Void is also a prison for the Four Principle Devastators known as Shintareth, Mee'skithar, Kthintaur, and Ctheth; ungodly eldritch entities locked away long ago by the Gods, whom feared the Devastators, sometime before they virtually exterminated themselves in the War for the Quantumverse, which left the Realms of the Gods, Angels, and Demons as lifeless husks. Many of the entities that call The Void home are strange themselves, some examples are as follows; there are floating balls of light that change anything they touch into somethings else, such as a pebble into a perfectly functional car from the 1950s, and which release intense human-like screeches of agony when killed; there are giant human-like eyeballs with purple tentacles attached to cliff sides; and there a pools of black liquid which attacks anyone who gets too close, entering their bodies with intense violence, killing them and taking possession of them, stripping away intelligence and their ability to feel pain while giving them intense strength and bloodlust, all the while slowly replacing their bodies from the inside out. Most of what is known of Void entities comes from exploration into Universe 0 rather than The Void itself, as many Void entities came to inhabit Universe 0 when reality collapsed there. Exploring The Void itself is extremely difficult, not only because of how hard gaining access to it is, but also because of how difficult and dangerous navigation is in The Void; the only light comes the few artificial structures and the few, highly dangerous bioluminescent and light giving Void entities, such as the aforementioned Floating Balls of Light. The Void itself consists of a seemingly infinite space with objects ranging in size from Gas Giants to Pebbles wildly floating throughout it, occasionally colliding; these objects make navigation and exploration difficult due to the inconsistent gravitational pulls, with objects as small as pebbles sometimes having gravity equivalent to that of a Gas Giant, while Gas Giants sometimes having near non existent gravitational pulls. This essentially sums up what is known about The Void, as little more will be known until a more reliable way of accessing this strange reality are found.

We're not appreciating the Weird Barbie enough. It's said in the movie that she helps everyone who need help while they always see her as someone who's not as good as them. She was friends with all dismissed Barbies and Kens, was there to offer support and safe shelter for everyone who needed it in Kendom, without her nothing in the movie would've been alright. When Stereotypical Barbie calls her "ugly and unwanted" she still helps her.

She was representing a woman in women's world who was pushed aside by other women because she didn't fit in but still had more wisdom and kindness than everyone who thought they're better than her.

Story Prompt 27

In a dimly lit room, shadows played on the walls as the rhythmic beat of music filled the air. The soft glow of a mirror revealed the silhouette of a figure moving to an invisible dance partner. Unbeknownst to the dancer, a pair of chilling eyes observed every graceful sway from the darkness.

As the music pulsed, the room seemed to take on a life of its own. The dancer, lost in the melody, spun and twirled, blissfully unaware of the ominous presence watching. Suddenly, a voice echoed from the shadows.

"What are you dancing for?" The words cut through the music, sending shivers down the dancer's spine. Startled, they turned towards the darkness.

"Who's there?" they stammered, their heart pounding.

A low, haunting chuckle filled the room as the mysterious observer emerged from the shadows. Pale face, disfigured smile – a silent spectator of the private dance. The dancer's breath caught in their throat.

"Why watch me?" fear laced their words.

The enigmatic figure tilted their head, the grotesque smile widening. "I find joy in the movement of the living."

A tense silence lingered, broken only by the distant hum of the music. The dancer, torn between fear and curiosity, managed to muster courage.

"Do you want to dance?" they asked tentatively.

The figure's expression shifted, the eerie grin taking on a contemplative quality. "Dance with me? An intriguing proposition."

And so, in that dimly lit room, an unlikely dance unfolded – a dance between the living and the unknown. The mirror reflected an eerie duet, the dancer's movements intertwining with the peculiar steps of their unexpected companion.

As the music faded into the night, the mysterious figure retreated back into the shadows, leaving the room in silence. The dancer stood alone, wondering if it was all a surreal dream or a dance with something beyond understanding. The memory of that peculiar night lingered, an unsettling yet strangely fascinating encounter with the enigmatic presence that had briefly shared their dance floor.

In the er and I just overhead someone telling the most confusing story I've ever herd, this is what I can remember. There were drug dealers in his building, so he confronted them and said they couldn't sell drugs in his building. I'm assuming this intimidation attempt failed as they later tried to poison him? (Apperently the poison wasnt strong enough as this was just a passing comment) So he found out and as they were running away he used his black belt knowledge to beat them up. Keep in mind this man had to be 80 or more.
