A quick lil Illinois design concept 🤔uhm. Idk i'm surprisingly too lazy to explain my thoughts behind this, it's mostly just a jumble of baseball, mid to late 1900s kinda vibes I get from him, other select things. I have a very particular thing in mind for him but I havent drawn it yet 😌 either way I'm content with this redesign!

I find the censorship to "corn" funny for the midwest
**************************
*On the midwest groupchat*
Utah: is Iowa coming to my youngest's birthday party?
Iowa: he told me he can't bc he's watching corn
Kansas: Oh he's watching "corn" ?!? 🙄🤦
*Meanwhile in Iowa*
Iowa trapped in a corn field: I genuinely can't tell if there's a murderer in here...

Random hcs I pulled out of nowhere for entertainment :3
-Connecticut hates chapstick, so his lips crack :,(
-The only thing that will get Pennsylvania to stop screaming his head off or something is a milk chocolate bar. I stand by this. Hershey boy likes Hershey products :3
-Colorado has really clear skin, like, if he wasn’t high you’d have no clue he’s addicted to marijuana and stuff. No million step skin care routine. No wrinkles, just red scleras. (Cutie patootie tho)
-Utah has a bunch of dirty songs (mostly WAP) stuck in his head thanks to Florida, and sometimes he catches himself humming or quietly singing them to himself
-Maryland drives a comically big truck because he can and he’s awesome
-A lot of the Midwest unironically listens to Korn

I think the Midwest is the scariest region.
I mean yeah the Northeast can be threatening and definitely has ties to the mafia, the South has guns and knows how to use them, and the West can and will set you on fire but the Midwest is scary in you don't see their full potential. The other regions you can see how threatening they are, the midwest hides it and that's what makes them scary. Also because farming is the scariest and most serial killer profession and no one can convince me otherwise.
Do you know how to use a scythe? The Midwest does
Do you know how to escape a corn maze in the middle of the night in 10 minutes? The Midwest does
Do you know how to get rid of a body using nothing but pigs? The Midwest does
