Well That Happened Chapter 5

Damian was starting to feel antsy, all he had been doing was watching a projection of the fighting while remaining uninvolved.

Sure, it made sense not to get involved, they couldn’t risk revealing their identities, they weren’t even supposed to be there in the first place! That logic didn’t make him feel any better though

He wanted to help.

Damian was just about to make his sentiments known when a very familiar woman walked into the room.

Diana recognized him almost immediately, quickly making her way to him and enveloping him in a hug.

“Damian, child what are you doing here? I believed you to still be in Gotham.” Diana said, releasing Damian from her hold.

At the sound of her voice, the rest of Damian’s family makes themselves known, coming to stand beside Damian to greet her.

“Diana.” Bruce’s voice is the loudest, quickly drawing Diana’s attention to him.

“Bruce!” Diana smiles, wrapping the man in a hug that he awkwardly returns.

“You know these people, Diana?” Chat Noir’s questioning voice rings out, he turns to face the group but continues to glance at the projection of Princess on the wall.

“I do, this is Bruce Wayne, one of my closest companions, and his children, whom I care for deeply.” Diana has the good grace to ignore the blushes that make their home on his siblings’ faces. Namely Jason and Stephanie.

Chat Noir nods, some of the barely noticeable tension leaving his shoulders.

“I will leave them in your capable hands then, I should get back out on the field.” With a two-finger salute, Chat Noir takes off, dashing through a doorway and dodging around the people crowding the hallways.

His hurried pace is confusing, he could have left at any point in time since they had arrived-

Oh.

Damian blinks as the realization strikes him.

He didn’t trust them. He wanted to keep an eye on them to make sure they weren’t dangerous. Which is fair. He likely would have done the same.

Diana clears her throat, drawing Damian’s attention back to her.

“So, I’m going to assume that you all would like to help out around here in some way?” Diana’s knowing eyes sweep the family.

At their confirming nods, Diana continues. “If you want to help I can help get you started. First things first, we need to get you sorted into your squadrons.”

anyways, Santa Claus, magical bringer of gifts to all the world’s children in one night, happens to feel negative emotions in Paris, France, and is possessed by a supervillain in order to terrorize children Santa deems “naughty” and to steal magical jewelry that grants two teenagers superpowers.

how has the border not been shut down? Why haven’t tourists been evacuated? I understand this is all kind of normal to people in Paris, but hawk moth’s supervillainy is so self-contained (except for chat blanc but most people don’t know about that); do any other countries know about this whole super-powered-individuals-fighting-over-reality-as-wethey-know-it-shenanigans?

Santa Claus, who is quite possibly an international figure of peace and harmony, was attacked and turned into a monster; if even he isn’t immune to hawk moth, shouldn’t everyone be scared?

i was out in November around that beaver moon at the park just listening to music and minding my own damn business when I hear theses two joggers and the conversation they had makes me understand when people make fun of the American education system.

Jogger lady one : oh WOW look at the Moon! Isn't it just so pretty?

Jogger lady two : it really is. Well, the moon is really just the biggest star around.

Then, with all of the confusion of a woman who had just heard that the goddamn moon is the biggest star around----- jogger lady one spoke.

That whole discourse killed me. Both ladies were confused by what happened. I was confused. Nothing made sense. Is the moon the biggest star around? I don't know.

ANNOUNCMENT

I started writing fanfics while I was in high school as a way to take a break from the massive amounts of stress it caused me. In a way, the constant chaos and stress helped me update MORE than I likely would have otherwise as it was a way for me to escape from the stress and put my pent up energy to use. As such, since I graduated I have been struggling to get back to writing since there has been nothing to trigger a writing spree. The problem with this is that I still want to write but I have been pushing it off over and over again because I didn't feel the NEED to write like I used to. In order to combat this I have decided to try and make an update scheduled for myself.

From now on I should have a new chapter up every Saturday (unless something happens in my life that prevents me from doing so). I have made a full fledged schedule and I hope to get back on track soon.
