1. See U by Heo Jung – Where Your Eyes Linger

There is so much power in this song, I love it. I even love the instrumental version, which is usually something I don’t listen to just for the sake of it. I’m just generally obsessed with the instrumentation and the harmonics, they add so much feeling to it.

2. รักหน้าตาเหมือนเธอไหม (Love Love Love) by Gemini Norawit – My School President

I forced myself to put only one MSP song here because I could easily make a top 5 MSP list on its own. This one is only here because I’ve been listening to it the most recently, but I love many of the songs the series has to offer. And Gemini is a suprisingly good singer, I enjoy his voice a lot. You can hear how much fun he has singing this.

3. ในวันที่สาย (When You’re Gone) by Alyn Wee – Big Dragon

Every time I rewatch the original trailer of Big Dragon, this song makes me cry. It’s a pretty slow one, but that’s the magic in it. The text also really gets me for some reason, if only because some of the little Thai that I know makes an appearance in the chorus, so I understand at least parts of it without a translation, small as that part is.

4. Twilight Dreams by Chihiro Onitsuka – The Novelist

Even though I didn’t like The Novelist at all and I’m not sure why I even watched it in the first place, this song stuck with me. There’s something so Japanese about it that I can’t quite place, and even though the sliiiightly off-key notes in the last chorus annoy me, I still enjoy this song a whole lot. It was one of my most listened-to songs in 2022.

5. 我们不像我们 (Unlike Us) by Della – HIStory 3: Make Our Days Count & Trapped

I can’t finish this list without including at least one Chinese song in it. This is another one of my most listened-to songs of 2022, and it’s so fucking sad, but that’s sort of what I love about it. And the lyrics aren’t too hard to understand, so I can feel the sadness even with my limited Chinese knowledge.

Since I’m also having a really hard time sticking with just five songs, I’ll include a few more like @telomeke did in their fantastic list (I got so many good recommendations from it).

เพื่อนเล่น ไม่เล่นเพื่อน (Just Being Friendly) by Tilly Birds & MILLI. This one isn’t from one QL specifically, but was covered and featured in My School President and Cutie Pie (I think it appeared in it, all I remember is there’s a pretty good Nunew cover) and seems to generally be a favorite in the QL community. Oh, how many couple edits I’ve seen on YouTube set to this song. And I get it, it has an immaculate vibe and rhythm. Tilly Birds have so many incredible songs that I love listening to, even though their style of music isn’t usually my thing. So that’s saying a lot.

刻在我心底的名字 (Your Name Engraved Herein) by Crowd Lu – Your Name Engraved Herein. It’s such a soft song. I am such a sucker for a song with almost nothing but a voice and a guitar if it’s done well. And the way the brass instruments come in at the end, there is so much power in that. A great song for the movie.

รักเธอตัวเท่าโลก by Boy Sompob – My Only 12%. I listened to the acoustic version that came out first and never would have thought the fully-produced version would be even half as good, and then they went and gave me two beautiful versions of this song. I wouldn’t be able to decide between both of them, and it’s good that I don’t have to. Such a sweet song that perfectly fits the sweetness of the series.

แล้วแต่ดาว (My Starlight) by Joong Archen – Star in My Mind. I watched this show fairly recently and immediately lost it at this. It’s a fantastic song beautifully detailing Kluen’s feelings for Daonuea, and I’m obsessed with the star and wave imagery and word play used in the lyrics. When you listen to it, you can’t help but feel Kluen’s love, it’s like a lullaby that wants to put you to sleep with the sheer love and adoration he feels. I also think Joong is a surprisingly good singer, at least when compared to some of the other GMMTV actors.

*I just rewatched the Fantastic Four movies from the early 2000’s and all I can think of when it comes to the UnO ferris wheel is this scene. I don’t think uru-chan’s gonna do it, but idk, something’s definitely gonna happen with that ferris wheel. It’s had 3 of its own shots. yuzuru hanyū (25) of sendai, japan: the most beautiful ice prince with a heart of gold.

….an artist clearly not of this world, he’s been sent to us from another realm. 19 world records, two olympics won, dubbed the greatest figure skater of all time. and the most precious bean on top of that.

but let’s start from the beginning, shall we ♥︎

so, want to spot yuzu on the ice? use this checklist. slender silhouette, an even slimmer waist, feather-like outfits (he sketches those himself; the fandom lovingly calls him swanyu), soft blushy face. he has great androgyny.

outside of performances, you see him either with a deer’s gaze or the brightest, biggest eye smile. also, he’s usually found sitting with his wife: 

which is the ice 😄 these two are together forever. you can discern yuzu from a mile away by how he treats his working ground. 

there is a purity to him. you’d not guess that this is one of the most ardent athletes if you didn’t see what’s around his neck after competitions. the guy’s cuteness is as compelling as his skating technique.

look for it: yuzu’s face is super suave and rosy up close, even after his most energetic performances. some men are handsome, others pretty, he is both. 

even acoustically, he’s hard to miss. applause is all around, and he’s highly expressive. if you see a crying young man getting the high score, that’s yuzuru hanyu. you’ve not seen more beautiful happy tears.

and score reactions, anyway:

so, aye loves, the rumors are true. a cutie-pie off the ice, animated, a real unabashed meme — yuzu is easy-going, talkative. cheery, cheeky, one of a kind. his facial expressions are a league of their own.

if you thought this is the sort of guy who watches cat videos, you are correct 😄

yuz-uwu hanyu, everybody:

his undoubtedly feline behaviour is often unexpected, it stands out with its adorableness, too. a sweetheart par excellence. 

and, how else could it be: vice versa, the big beast on the rink. he’s cutesy, dorky, very well-spoken in daily life, but when it comes to skating, his seriousness escalates. you blink once and suddenly hanyu is a bedazzling, strutting lion :’D his performances stun with confident elegance.

he becomes full of ardor, drama, and focus. you’d never suspect so much fire burns in him. a showman and ambition icon, hands down. 

his skating is dynamic, perfected, and emotional. if you want to see art and the extra mile, tune in when hanyu competes.

the downside is; more light, more shadow. it leaves him crawling on the ice afterwards. yuzu performs so hard, it’s worrying.

he delivers it all. you won’t believe it:

this guy is an asthmatic.

the symptoms aren’t as bad as they used to be, but there are still regular attacks. he said that he’ll never take it as an excuse and often recalls how he started skating because of it. he’s a badass, extremely inspiring. yuzuru defies all limits, including gravity. his jumps have legendary status. 

off the rink, you guessed it: he turns into a wholly different person. 

it all dissolves completely when he’s dorking around again. 

don’t let it deceive you, he’s the no other option than first place type. he could not be any more decorated with titles, he achieved the grand slam in all competitions as of 2020. and still, king of sportsmanship hanyu is respectful and smiley towards all colleagues and never lets anyone feel left out. especially when it comes to his juniors (e.g. yuma kagiyama, 16, below) which says a lot about him.

he bows in every direction before an audience, too. lower than a 90° angle, even. this is more polite than any existing formality in japan.

talk about audience: i introduced fellow japanese skater shoma uno last week, who’s more uncomfortable with social contact and aggression. yuzu, extrovert he is: the exact opposite. he withers away with no people and competition. he’s befriended rivals, had crises over not having someone who could challenge him. when a competitor retires, he’s the one crying in their arms (e.g. with team mate and bff javier fernandez from spain below).

beside his competitive spirit and princely wow factor, hanyu is popular for his winnie pooh tissue box that he caresses, squeezes, and carries everywhere. he loves good luck charms & rituals, pooh is the most important one.

fans throw pooh plushies on the ice after his performances because of it. since it’s gotten so intense, yuzu recently started cleaning them up himself on top of the flower girls for the upcoming skater who could get delayed otherwise. (more about what happens with the piles of plushies later.)

so, the burning question is. 

what made yuzuru hanyu emerge so outstanding an entertainer? how does someone causing so much uproar become like that? it’s not just what kind of appearance he was given, although he really looks his part to a T. you don’t have to be an insider to see it right away.

like literally to a fault. and you can tell the way his blades sound on the ice is different. it’s soft even if he does the most hardcore quadruple jumps. i think it’s because his drive to do this is a higher one, hanyu has an altered relationship with the ice. where his devotion comes from has a more severe reason so, massive trigger warning. 

this is no exaggeration: yuzuru is considered a hero to the japanese. a survivor of the earthquake 2011, he narrowly escaped the collapsing rink in his hometown on that very day. he’s often talked about how the ice shattered underneath his feet and it was the moment that defined his life forever. he could have been dead by the age of 16. his motivation has been set ever since. this man is compelled by something bigger, that’s why you hear it and you feel it. he wants to skate not just for himself but others and seize every day. 

much of his copious charity work — that’s where all the pooh plushies go — went to mend the consequences of the tsunami ever since, he’s looked upon as a great hope in japan. the minister gave him the people’s honor award in 2018. 

now you know why yuzuru has such a fanbase and treats the ice as sacred, you see it in every gesture. his manners are without a single flaw, he helps staff repair the ice after performances. 

you might think it’s odd, but he honors the ground. he’s invested in the integrity of it. that’s why he’s the best skater. it’s gratitude and the will to live fully.

he hates to fall on the ice, he hates to damage it. alongside his feathery weight, that’s why the sound he makes while gliding along is so tender. 

i think that’s also why hanyu’s signature element is the ina bauer. it doesn’t rely on brutal force, instead this element slides across the rink like a swan. yeah, oh my god.

it’s his most well-known dramatic move. the way he surrenders into it. 

hanyu’s back arch and perfect split allow him to do elements no other male skaters can. his biellmann spin, for instance. i know, it’s ridiculous.

and those are just two elements of dozens and dozens. hanyu is a kinetic wizard. i highly rec this record-breaking delivery of his olympic program. in front of his home crowd! he’s just… mind-boggling. i live for his smiles here.

exceptional skater, exceptional mentor: it’s time we look at another puzzle piece that made yuzu the way he is. the masterful brian orser is hanyu’s beloved coach. missing gold by just one mistake at the olympics 1988, brian is now committed to give others what he couldn’t have— successfully so.

orser took the ice prince to gold twice, this hasn’t happened in 66 years. brian is the nicest and most supportive pooh carrier and yuzu’s utmost rock. hanyu’s talent rests safely in these hands.

he gets strict about punctuality lmao! but other than that, his guidance is gentle. canadian he is, brian’s courteousness mixes well with yuzu’s politeness. their bond is strong. as. hell. 

brian picked up yuzu from rock bottom several times. most fateful being hanyu’s accident with a fellow skater during competition warm-ups nov 2014. they collided at a high speed, it was unspeakably nasty. yuzu got knocked out for half a minute and had grave breathing problems but still decided to skate on with what later turned out as an almost-concussion. brian was the most worried ice dad in the world that day.

yuzu cried and crouched and bled like mad and my heart has been broken ever since. i hope he never suffers like that again. promise me you don’t search up the video, it’s a harrowing watch like a stab to the chest. sadly enough, hanyu’s body has still been a notorious wreck, esp. ankle issues regularly give him a hard time 😔

it hurts like a bitch with every jump landing but he takes meds and still manages to win, god knows how. sometimes even with crutches on the podium. at his worst, he’s still the best, it’s a tragedy.

he’s been recovering, or always is, but he pushes himself through injuries. his ambition and perfectionism are boundless. the cause is more important to him than his well-being. this is not an easy guy to stan once you see how he sacrifices and self-destructs. so, it’s good someone protects him. 

mostly from himself because nobody has profoundly surpassed hanyu. he has let himself no choice than to contest himself. not even health, only age can stop yuzu. i think that brian understands this ‘curse of a genius’ effect. his mere presence can make hanyu say these rare words:

his two other coaches contribute to that. tracy wilson (left) has proven to understand his playful side the best while ghislain briand (right) helps yuzuru deal with his fears. so you got 3 people taking care of the golden boy. brian once said: “he is very sheltered” and you can see it’s true.

yuzu eased into learning english and communicates well with his coaches. like with everything, he studies hard and often forces himself to speak during interviews to practice. his skills are astounding. his speaking voice is also very soothing, very amicably low and high alike. yuzu is highly intelligent. he always says something eloquent and interesting.

now, privately, hanyu is very much like you’d expect someone so devoted to skating would be like. he doesn’t go out, has no social media, can’t eat nor sleep very well. no cameras allowed during practice. it figures he is attached to winnie pooh, think about it. in the cartoon, pooh is someone who sleeps, eats, and engages with friends plenty. 

these are the things hanyu can’t do, doesn’t have time/energy/incentive for. he is barred from balance in life but can at least admire this little carefree plushie for it. especially because pooh represents eating lots while yuzuru doesn’t have a good relationship with food (he says it doesn’t go well with jumps etc.), hanyu lives vicariously through him. 

what’s more, you have to see how he throws himself onto others and never wants to let go, yuzuru is extremely cuddly. 

to the degree that mere social customs can’t meet how much he really needs. so, what else can he resort to, he loves mascots and plushies. it’s how the tale goes in japan generally, tough work ethic, high responsibility, high pressure, so people turn to cute fluffy things.

he always fondles pooh’s head, even pretends he’s come to life so he has someone to snuggle with. i think that his isolated lifestyle doesn’t help. so, he gets his affection at least there, you can see how happy it makes him. and again: he does this all for charity.

that’s why fellow skaters are so important to hanyu. it really brings out his social spirit and comforts him best, it’s so wholesome. i’ve not seen someone react so relieved to being embraced, like he’s not been touched for months. skating this, skating that. at the end of the day, hanyu wants love.

Oh gosh he’s so adorable you could kiss him. Wait no you can’t you’ll just screw it up again. Every time you try to kiss him you get all flustered and freeze up. One day, you’ll be able to kiss him without freezing up. Don’t lose hope me! You turn your focus on Kankri agai- wait what’s he doing!? You’re trying your best to not move your head to look at him then you hear a small kiss sound. He..he kissed your hand I- wait omg he’s looking at you! You are very excited about this week! You remember why correct? Well if you don’t remember this week Cronus is coming back from his father’s business trip! Oh you’re so excited to see him you could just cry. But there’s something that has been going on since about the beginning of summer vacation. Cronus slowly stopped messaging you. In the first month or so he’d text you everyday then slowly stopped texting you only to message you when you texted, but then he suddenly stopped messaging you all together. You’d still sent him ‘good morning’ and ‘goodnight’ texts. But hey! He was probably busy and was having fun with his family and you wouldn’t want to get in between that. Oh look at the time! You’re supposed to go to the store to pick up something’s for your father. You grab your phone, keys, and wallet. Now you are really to go to the store.

『At the store』

You finally make it to the store and grab a basket. You take out your phone to find the list of things you need and start getting the things you need. You’re nearly done when you spot a familiar looking little boy. Eridan? Is that him? No way it is him! That means Cronus..!!! Wait why hasn’t he texted me yet? Oh who cares he’s back! You walk over to Eridan who seems to be alone standing in the check out line. “Hell9 Eridan. It’s w9nderful t9 see y9u! c:

h9w have y9u’ve 6een?”. The little boy freaks out for second and turns around to look at you. He then sighs when he realizes it’s just you. “Kankriiiiiii howw dare you sneak up on me?!?! >:(“ he says. You apologize and you both start talking about how the summer for the both of you went. “Say Eridan when did y9u and y9ur family get 6ack?”. “Oh wwe got back just this wweek. You didn’t knoww? Didn’t Cronus tell you?”. Now you’re confused. On the day Cronus left he promised to tell you the second he’s back and he didn’t...wait Kankri, he’s probably tired and has to unpack everything. After he responds you leave the store heading back to your house.

『Fast forward to after dinner and shower』

You just finished showered and changing into your nice pjs. You go over to your bed which has a cute cat plush on top of it that Cronus got for you. Cronus is so adorable and nice. You’re so lucky to have him. You go turn off the lights and use your phones light to see your bed. You get to you bed and you get into it. You hug and snuggle the plush and you go to text Cronus.

Ateez Ideal Types

this is totally my opinion!! please don’t take anything i said here seriously because it’s probably all wrong hehe🖤

hongjoong:

i’d imagine hongjoong would be most comfortable with someone who was in the quiet side, perhaps not introverted but quiet for sure. he would fall for someone who was mysterious and had a lot to explore would since they would intrigue him the most. of course he’d want someone understanding and not clingy since he won’t be with them all the time, but he’d still want them to miss him and be loyal (that’s a given but oh well.) i think he would enjoy being with someone who likes travelling with him and enjoys going on adventures but also someone who’s down to chill in the studio with him and give him honest opinions on any new music. honesty would be important to him in an s/o i think as well as trust. since hongjoong is how should i say this... vertically challenged, i’d imagine he’d want someone who is also rather short. i always imagined hongjoong going for someone a lil edgy in how they dress and how they cut their hair (and how they do their make up, but he’d rather no make up at all) but still keeping with the quiet vibe somehow. rather than cute, i think he’d prefer a sexy person, someone who is quite flirty with him, almost dominating in fact.

seonghwa:

Headcanons under the cut!

Kill is below average height, standing at about 5’6

He’s got a pretty average build, but he has some noticeable muscle

He’s also relatively lightweight and easy to lift, since he weighs only about 130lbs

Kill’s got really dark hair that’s very soft and fluffy and curls around his face and ears in wisps

His eyes are a really bright blue and have a ring of gold around the pupils

He paints his nails black on the left hand and white on the right

He wears a lot of black, but the usual fit is just a plain old t-shirt and jeans plus loads of jewelry, chains, and an extra couple belts. He also tends to carry a gas mask, but it usually sits around his neck and not on his face

Kill’s favourite colour is actually blue!

He’s usually quite blank and unemotional, so he doesn’t smile much unless he’s around his friends.

He wears a lot of rings, and he has a very specific one ( it’s a plain black ring ) that he wears on his ring finger. He doesn’t like to talk about why.

He chews on his fingers when he’s bored or nervous. Therefore is knuckles and fingers are scarred from when he was a kid and didn’t know how to control it.

Kill blushes really easily since his skin is quite pale and he gets embarrassed at the drop of a hat, really.

He often forgets to eat or drink and people have to remind him.

He likes to wear platform shoes / boots to make himself taller.

He has dimples! He’s insecure about them.

He’s half-piglin, so he has tusks that curl over his lip. They aren’t very sharp but he has a gold ring on the left one.

He’s got pointy ears that are adorned in loads of jewelry and earrings! There are a few rips from combat where they got torn out so he wears less now, but he still likes it.

He doesn’t have hooves, but he usually walks around on the balls of his feet for more dexterity.

Kill is such a scary ler it’s not even funny.

He has a knack for pinpointing his lees’ most ticklish spots and figuring out exactly what kind of tickling gets to them the best and shelves it away in his head for later.

He’s also an absolute master of teasing.

It’s just relentless cooing and taunts while he tickles his lee.

His favourite teases are compliments!

Kill is also huge on tickle games.

The ‘keep your arms up’ game is his favourite, and the punishment is the same every time : that the lee will have their arms restrained by force. And he always wins at it.

He thinks fighting back is half the fun so due to that he loves chasing his lees and wrestling with them and having them fight back.

Thighs : 10 / 10 — both a worst spot and a favourite spot. Good place to go to if you want him shrieking and begging ( ie. punishment for being annoying ). Sensitive to both kinds of tickling.

Underarms : 9 / 10 — definitely a panic spot. Anticipation is everything and if utilized right he will be laughing before you even touch him. Nervous giggles and babbling 100%. Sensitive to both kinds of tickling.

Hips : 8 / 10 — one hell of a squirming spot. Makes him buck and arch his back and if you drill thumbs into the divots he will snort. More sensitive to rougher tickles.

Neck / Ears : 6 / 10 — this is a huge giggle zone as well as a melt spot. Lots of cute noises like squeaks and snorts and hiccups, and he’ll scrunch up his nose and his shoulders trying to get away. Much more sensitive to lighter tickles.

Stomach : 6 / 10 — another favourite. Definitely makes him squirm and probably the most flustering spot for him. Raspberries make him snort. Sensitive to both kinds of tickles.

It’s Vegas, Baby - Chapter II

Summary: Nesta goes out to the store and so does Cassian. Classic Nesta, she thinks he’s stalking her. Trust me it’s more interesting than it sounds lol(I hope)

"I'm home!" Nesta calls out to Feyre. She can smell pizza and instantly strides towards the kitchen, where she finds Feyre with a large cheese pizza still in the box, half-eaten.

"Finally! I was beginning to wonder if you and Cassian finally acknowledged the sexual tension between yourselves and fucked."

"Feyre! That is not appropriate to say at all! Cassian and I are barely colleagues, we will never be anything so stop with your meddling!" Nesta replied, trying to will down a bright red blush. Feyre and her boyfriend, Rhys, had this insane idea that she and Cassian were made for each other, it didn't help that Cassian was constantly flirting with her either.

"We're back!" Mor and Amren had just gotten home from some party, with Mor holding Duchess, their shared Chinese Crested Dog. When the four of them bought a penthouse together Feyre and Mor wanted a dog, and Nesta and Amren didn't. After begging and pleading with her sister and friend to please give him away after they adopted him they finally decided to just lock her, Amren, and Duchess in a room together. They all became friends, and they found out that Duchess was, in fact, a boy. They had been calling him Duchess for too long, though, so when they called him Duke he wouldn't reply so the name just stuck. When the rest of their inner circle found out-"the rest" being Cassian, Azriel, and Rhys- they didn't stop teasing them for days. In their defense, he had a very small you-know-what and he was a very ladylike boy.

"Bring my baby boy to me! Oh I wove you so much you wittle cutie pie!" Feyre was letting Duchess lick her face, making Nesta gag. Sure she loved the dog, but seriously, he licks his butt.

"Ugh, Mor, your cousin is working me to the bone! And he won't stop trying to push me and Cassian together! He thinks he can push us together just cause we “have hella sexual tension”! Also, I was thinking about this last night, Rhys is dating Feyre and if I'm Feyres sister and he's Cassians brother, that's literally incest!"

"You know they aren't actually brothers, right? They're just best friends." Mor replied, trying not to laugh at Nesta's flustered expression. She put down Duchess and reached for a slice of pizza. Everyone knew that it was just a matter of time before Nesta and Cassian got together. Nesta and Mor were the only single people in the house, not including Duchess. And Mor was just recently dumped so she was in a big love life meddling mood. Amren was dating some guy named Varian, and Feyre... Well, let's just say that it's a miracle that she's here right now and not out getting nailed by Rhys.

"I know that, but still. They refer to themselves as brothers."  

"So you're saying that if they didn't call themselves brothers you would have sex with Cassian! I knew it!"

"No, Feyre, I am not saying that! Besides, he flirts with everyone so even if I was into him- which I am not - we probably wouldn't become a thing."

"Keyword being probably." Mor says with a smirk.

"Enough of all this bickering, I'm hungry and bored so someone turn on the T.V. while I make some popcorn." Amren quickly breaks them up before Nesta tears off someone's head.

Cassian pulled up at the townhouse he shared with his brothers. All the lights were turned off which meant that Az was sleeping, or not home. The former was more likely because Az usually got pizza on his rest nights and there were three cold slices of meat lovers pizza left. Cassian was so hungry, he ended up eating them cold. He fought back a moan at how delicious the pizza was. He would never understand how Nesta was able to be a vegetarian. Shit. He had been such a dick to Nesta earlier. She was genuinely concerned about him and he had just pushed her away.

Cassian pulled out his phone and checked instagram. Mor had posted a photo of her and Amren with their dog, Duchess, at a party. He didn’t know if he should laugh or cry at the fact that a misgendered dog had a better social life than he did.

“Ugh, Feyre, Tomas and his little gang showed up at work last night.” Nesta and Feyre were chilling in the kitchen, the latter making a breakfast spread that would put Disney Channel moms to shame. Amren and Mor were nursing killer hangovers, so Feyre made sure to bang around a ton in the kitchen.

“Again? A-fucking-gain? Nuthin new, nuthin changed? Same old shit. Same old fuckin shit.” Feyre replied, forgetting that Nesta had no idea what that reference meant.

“I told them to leave and that I almost had the money to pay them back, but Tomas just slapped my ass and said ‘sEe YoU oN yOuR nExT sHiFt’ then he got up and left.”

“You do realize that we could end all of this by just telling Rhys? I know you have this whole thing about your pride and shit, but we could tell Rhys and he could pay off all your debts to him.”

“Feyre, I appreciate it, but I need to fight my own battles. I got myself into this mess, so I sure as hell can get myself out of it. Plus, I don’t like the idea of feeling like I owe my current employer money.”

“Nesta, sweetie, I love you… BUT YOU NEED TO PUT YOUR DAMN PRIDE TO THE SIDE FOR LIKE, TWO SECONDS AND ACCEPT HELP!”

“FEYRE-”

“Okay, can we yell about Nesta's issues at some time other than 6am? Also, is that bacon I smell?” Mor walked in holding her head and wearing one of Nesta's sweatshirts with some leggings.

“Yes, fattie. And it’s like, 10:30.” Feyre slapped Mor's hand away from a stack of pancakes cooling on the countertop.

“And I do not have any issues, Mor. I’m not the one that went partying with a dog last night.”

“Nesta, that is exactly the reason why you have issues. If you went partying with Duchess, maybe you would loosen up a bit. God knows you need it.”

“Brat.” Nesta threw a piece of toast at Mor's head.

“Thanks! Hey, Feyre, pass the butter.” Feyre slid the butter across the counter and cursed loudly when it just slid on the floor at Mor's feet. Facedown.

“Really, Feyre?” Nesta said in an exasperated tone.

“I’m sorry! I thought she would catch it!”

“That was our last stick of butter, you absolute dingbat!” Nesta sighed and picked up the keys to her car.

“Where are you going?” Mor asked, ever the worried friend thinking she had caused a family feud.

“To the store. We need more milk and eggs anyways. Tell me if you guys are gonna go out while I’m gone.” Nesta walked out the door of their spacious apartment and made her way over to the elevator, pressing the ground level button. She stormed over to her car, got in, and slammed the door shut. On her way to the store, she noticed that one of the local book stores was having a sale. She tried to ignore the voice in her head telling her that she had piles of unread books in her room, and all over the other communal areas of the apartment. She would just pop in after picking up the groceries. No big deal. She could restrain herself. Maybe.

“Unbelievable.” Cassian sighed and picked up the piece of paper attached to Azriel's little note and crumpled it up. Then he uncrumpled it because he remembered he needed to see what it said. Cassian walked up to his room and threw on a sweatshirt, some slip-on vans, and grabbed his keys. He couldn’t remember why they decided to share groceries. He wanted to in the beginning, but now that he woke up without any food in the house because his brothers had eaten all of it he was thinking or re-evaluating that decision. Cassian slid into his car and made his way to the store.

“I’m selecting some chocolate for Feyre, and she is very picky so I was focused on reading what the ingredients were in each bar.” She seemed to have recovered from the scare because she just grabbed a random chocolate bar and stormed past him.

“Obviously you don’t care that much if you’re willing to just grab a random bar and walk away!” Cassian yelled at Nesta. Some other shoppers began to stare at him so he quickly said “Don’t worry, we work together. I know her, I’m not some random creep haha.” That just got him more strange looks though so he just made his way towards self-checkout and paid for the items and skirted outta there.

Nesta was so embarrassed while walking away from Cassian. People were staring at her! Ugh, Cassian needs to learn to not yell in public places. She walked over to her car after checking out and loaded her groceries into the boot. She needed a black iced coffee stat. Nesta began the quick drive to one of the local coffee shops and once she arrived she quickly sent the girls a text letting them know where she was.

Nestella: hey bitches im getting coffee you hoes want anything

Feyby: i want a mocha frappe pleeease

“What can I get for you?” The guy working the register asked in a very monotone voice.

“One black iced coffee, one black americano, one mocha frappe, and one iced coffee with whipped cream and caramel sauce.”

“We don’t do that last one-” Nesta gave him a withering glare and he immediately changed his mind on what he was about to say.

“Those will be ready soon ma’am. Can I get a name for the order?”

“Nesta. Thank you.” Nesta walked over to the opposite side of the counter to wait while their coffee was being prepared.

“That was quite impressive the way you scared him into doing what you wanted him to, Sweetheart.”

“Cassian! Are you stalking me? Go away.”

“I’m not stalking you, I’m just here to get some coffee.” He smirked at her and picked up a latte that was set down beside him. He took a sip and looked Nesta up and down before smirking and saying “Hot.” he winked at her and left before she could yell at him. If he was being honest the coffee was actually the perfect temperature, but he just loved getting under Nesta Archerons skin.

It okay, Peridot! You and my other friends here have never expected me to put up any content, reblogs, or asks or anything when I’m not feeling like it or when I’m exhausted, so why should I do otherwise? Nono. Real life goes first, even if it’s something “simple” like needing a rest. It’s not a favor you have to say thanks for, it’s what should be done. We’re not entitled (?) to be there for others 24/7, that’s not what friendship is about. So you take all the time you need between asks, dear Peridot. I’ll be here :3

My weekend was okay, I think! Saturday was a bit tired because we were out most of the day, and I feared it’d be horrible because we had to go see some relatives that we don’t get along with very well. And it’s not that they’re bad people, no, they care and we care, and they have good intentions, they just sometimes make some comments and have some behaviors that aren’t really that good. Uncle and one of my cousins, mostly, tend to make and have always made mean comments because they think themselves superior in a lot of senses (classism is abundant in them aaaahhhhh), and a lot of my other relatives have sworn to never again go to their house for their comments XD 

But my aunt and little cousin are okay. My other cousin is more or less okay, too. Another problem was that there’d be my extremist-fanatic catholic aunt there so that’s not very enjoyable, but it was fine in the end. My cousins have a Switch, so I got to play the Smash Ultimate and we have a blast!! It started because my little cousin was playing alone (and we had gone to celebrate HIS birthday lmao) so I joined him, later on my two other cousins, and their friends, so I was mostly with strangers, but they weren’t mean and we had a good time. I was just uncomfortable when they brought up an anti-feminist conversation and some other bad comments, and I was there with my controller nervously sweating because I think I was expected to at least react positively lmao

But it was okay! Smash is one of my ultimate (hah!) favorites and I’m constantly sad that I can’t play the Wii U or the Switch ones, so it was a very good and refreshing evening of gaming :3

I listened closely to the lyrics of the song, memorizing each verse as I sat cross-legged in the middle of the dance studio, dressed in an oversized hoodie and black shorts, moving to the beat of the song. Steve Aoki and the boys made such an outstanding collaboration and in two weeks time, I was going to be a part of the performance.

"Did you see my bag? Did you see my bag? My bag's filled with trophies!" I sang along, the music blasting in my ears. "How you think 'bout that? How you think 'bout that? Haters are already giving up! My success is already so golden, I'm so firin' firin' like a torchbearer! You're rushing to run away! How you dare, how you dare, how you dare?!"

I stood up and played the song from the beginning, turning on the small screen in front of me. If I could nail the choreography for the first, then the chorus will come easy. I studied the choreography for several moments before getting into position, and began to dance, rolling my shoulders and following the members who weren't lead dancers. I made sure to focus on both the technique and emotion of each dance move as well as singing along.

I hadn't even noticed the door opening and Taehyung and Jin came inside, dressed in ripped jeans and comfortable shirts.

"Yaaaaa, look at you!" Jin remarked with a grin on his face. "You actually got the choreography down!"

"I'm still off beat though," I spoke as I paused the video, the music turning off.

"You didn't look off beat to me," Taehyung replied as he pulled his hoodie down. "If anything, you're doing a far better job than we did when we first learned the choreography."

"I'm no where in synch with you," I replied. "The moves to this dance come to you naturally. It's not natural to me yet. I have to work extra hard."

"What is it with maknaes and their will to do better?" Jin asked as he got into position, ready to join me. "I'll dance with you and we'll see if you're truly off beat. Taehyung-ah, you join us too."

"Don't have to tell me twice, hyung," he stood on my right side and I played the video again, playing the song from the beginning. For now, I played the part of backup dancer. I would have to find out from Namjoon my position in the dance and the lyrics I would have to sing later on.

We came to a stop close toward the end of the song, taking a seat on the floor and drinking some water, allowing our tired limbs to rest for several minutes.

"You've had no training and you're able to keep up with us," Taehyung observed. "Why is that?"

"Trust me, back then, I wouldn't have been able to keep up," I explained to him. "I used to have a frail body so I lived with my Halmeoni in the countryside. The fresh air and exercise helped me grow stronger. She didn't know contemporary dance but she knew ballroom dancing since she went to clubs with her friends when she was attending university. She used to be a singer and pianist as well, and she also taught me how to sing and play."

"Ah, so you want to become an idol because of your Halmeoni," Jin nodded, taking in my words. "You are gifted too."

"Although," I began, chuckling nervously. "even though I know how to play the piano, I don't know how to read music..."

"Huh?" Taehyung made a sound, almost in disbelief. "You can't read music? Then... how do you play? And how do you sing...?"

"I memorize the keys and I listen to the song," I answered. "But I want to learn to read music so I can write songs at some point. I wish to write songs that bring people together."

"Well, Yoongi and I can help," Jin offered. "We both play the piano. We can give you lessons when we aren't practicing or recording a song."

"Gomaweo," I bowed. "That means a lot. I promise to work hard."

"What should we eat today?" Jin asked as the three of us exited the building, walking into the cold streets of the city.

"Hot pot," Taehyung exclaimed. "It's cold and we should warm up quickly."

"What do you think, Ha-Neul-ah?" Jin asked me. "Should we eat hot pot?"

"Ne," I nodded. "I'll eat just about anything. Are you on strict diets?"

"Only once in a while," Jin tucked his hands into his jacket and we crossed the street. "Otherwise we can eat just about whatever we want."

"Oh good," I sighed with relief. "I don't think I can ever stick to the kind of diet girl groups have to uphold. I may be small but I need to eat."

"We're getting hot pot! We're getting hot pot, we're getting hot pot!" Taehyung began to sing and do a little dance, laughing as we turned a corner. Before we could make our way to the restaurant, the sound of a dog yipping could be heard in the distance.

"Vivi-ah!" A voice shouted. "Come back! Vivi!"

"What's going on?" Jin asked, coming to a stop. We spotted a small dog with white fur running toward us. "Oh! A dog!" He cried out with fright, hiding behind me. "S-Stay away! It'll bite!"

"Oppa," I spoke, furrowing my brows when the dog came to a stop, standing before me with his tail wagging and his tongue hanging out of his mouth, panting. "Don't tell me you're afraid of dogs?"

"Oh, he's afraid of everything," Taehyung spoke nonchalantly.

"They'll bite! Dogs are scary!" Jin sobbed, holding me tightly.

"Oh, but look at him," I cooed as I met the dog's eyes, who sat down, waiting for me to let him. I giggled and crouched, ignoring Jin's pleas for me to be careful. I rubbed the dog's white fur and it nuzzled my palm. "Good boy! What a cutie-pie you are! Oh, yes you are! Yes, you are!"

"Vivi-sshi!"

The voice called again and I raised my head, eyebrows raised when I saw the owner of this dog. He was tall—much taller than other idols—with black hair and chiseled features and broad shoulders. He had a tall nose, thick eyebrows, a small mouth, and thin earlobes, and he was wearing a black coat over his turtleneck and skinny jeans of the same color. He had to be at least four years older than I am.

"Vivi," he knelt before the dog and rubbed his fur, sighing with relief. "Why did you run away?" He spoke with a sincere and kind voice, not once raising it at the little critter. "What am I going to do with you...? You don't listen to me..."

Where had I seen this man before? The dog—Vivi—licked my palm and I chuckled softly. "He's very cute. He ran away?"

"He doesn't usually do run off," he replied, his lips pulling into a smile as he met my eyes. "Mianhe. It seems he's taken a liking to you."

"Oh!" Taehyung exclaimed from behind me, looking to the older male. "Sehun hyung! It's you! I knew that dog looked familiar!"

"Eh?" I made a confused sound and faced the man again, standing up slowly. So this is EXO's Sehun. He was a lot more attractive than in the teasers and music videos.

He licked his lips and stood up, holding onto Vivi's leash and bowing, "Jin hyung, Taehyung-ah, it's good to see you again," his gaze was fixated on my once again. "And... I don't believe we've met..."

"U-Uh," I stuttered and Jin presses his hands on my shoulders.

"This is Cho Ha-Neul. Our newest member," he spoke proudly. "She's cute, right? We're happy to have a little sister with us."

"It's a pleasure to meet you," Sehun grinned. "I'm Oh Sehun, the maknae of EXO. And this is Vivi. Vivi-sshi, say hi!" He looked at his dog, who yipped in response.

"Annyeong, Vivi-ah!" I waved at him.

"Where are you headed?" The older male wondered.

Jin moves from his place behind me, "We're going to eat hot pot. Would you like to join us?"

"Yes, please just us," Taehyung urged. "It's been some while since we spent time together."

"I would love to," he began. "But I have to get back. We have dance practice for the award show coming soon."

"I wish you luck," I spoke suddenly and Sehun faced me once more, tilting his head a bit. There was a moment of silence between us and he gave me a nod.

"Gomaweo," he made several kissing sounds and Vivi stood, ready to walk. "I hope to see you at the award show, Cho Ha-Neul." He smiled me before walking away, and I could feel my cheeks flaring.

I watched him leave, my eyes on his broad shoulders and Jin snapped me out of my thoughts.

"Yaaaaaaa, he's taller than me, and I'm his hyung!" He said with amazement. "He's become much more attractive too."

"It has been a while," Taehyung admitted. "I hope we can all catch up soon, right Ha-Neul?"

If he was honest and sincere off stage, I could only imagine what he was like on stage. I could feel my heart racing and looked to my feet.

"Ha-Neul? Ha-Neul-ah!" Taehyung spoke and I jumped.

"N-Ne!" I answered quickly, my cheeks still warm. "W-We should..." This was not normal at all. Why was my stomach doing backflips? Why was my heart racing? I need to calm down. "L-Let's go eat hot pot!" I added. "I'm hungry."
