List picked as I thought of them. Couldn't decide on the last slot (it was between FFVI, Undertale, Grandia II, Octopath Traveler, and Twilight Princess) so I ultimately went with FFVI, even though I have four other FF games on here, because the impact of FF games on my psyche cannot be overstated. Also I think FFVI was the first mainline FF game I ever played to completion.

Some of the games here earned their place not because they're The Best games, but because they were formative and taste-defining, or because they won't get out of my brain. TR2 represents a childhood of watching my mom play games. I'm not into KH anymore but KH was my very first real time action game with a cool, sprawling world and a story I liked. AC2 was my introduction to "western" action adventure games and opened the door for Skyrim. I had more fun with Hades than Tales of Berseria, but the cast of ToB stuck with me much longer than the story of Hades. (Also I've already included two Supergiant games that are better representatives of both the very fun "Supergiant formula" and my taste in narrative.)

Anyway whatever lol. I suspect if I did another chart in six months it would be slightly different.

Well, one year to go

#well at least im trying for that #ive scheduled round two for alaska and hopefully i see the lights this time #and my second favorite band announced yesterday they're coming here with guess who? another of my favorite bands #(blackbriar and battle beast may 2024) #i literally said the other day id be happy if i got to see them and now they're coming! can you believe it #but im tired...my health has plummeted and i am not doing well #im not going to last #ive just got to hold out for these last bucket list items #so im trying for the auora again in september around the equinox #ugh it's so bad im hooked up to shit all day now and constantly have to monitor tachycardia for instance #im exhausted. i can barely breathe. it hurts so much. i never stop shaking and spasming now #but hey ive started playing dnd...finally found a group. so that's crossed off my list too and it's been very fun so far #i need to get the motivation to read all the books i want to read #it aint in my control though...i just have to hope i can hold out until september #ive been trying lots of new foods but there's still so much more i want to try #but yeah im tired...every day i wake up from pain and feel like im going to die...if i sleep at all #even clare has given up it's progressed too much #but im trying. im trying #and ive been gathering all our family photos and things so theyll have memories #me and my dad take a selfie every time he visits too #idk. there's not a whole lot i can say without making people sad but it's been so much lately #i struggle to scrape through the pain every day. it's been 14 years. i just want to be free #it's not like i want to die...i just want to be free of the pain and rest finally #wish me luck #p

The good thing about cleaning your whole flat at once is that you can clean or tidy whatever is in front of you going with the flow without feeling like you should be concentrating on one specific area at a time - everything needs to be cleaned eventually anyway

The bad thing is that even though progress is being made everywhere you can't cross things off your list because nothing really gets finished for a while T_T

#I was going to write a little post about why I’ve taken an unintentional tumblr hiatus but I don’t have the energy to make it make sense #so if you care to know it’ll be written out in the tags lol #I was sick for a week when I was diagnosed with strep and prescribed antibiotics #well after I finished those I felt even sicker so I went to my primary doctor and found out I’ve had pneumonia for over a month #so now I’m on two antibiotics and have a huge list of if this happens I have to go to the hospital to be admitted #it’s been exhausting but I’m hoping to feel better in a few more days and avoid a hospital stay #I’ve missed my mutuals and sweet followers and hope you’re all doing so much better than I’ve been doing #and as soon as the brain fog lifts I’ll reply to messages xoxo #p.posts
