Robin chose Steve. Robin made the conscious and deliberate decision that she could and would trust Steve. She already liked him! She had fun working and bantering with him! They were already on their way to being weird little bffs and the torture just expedited the process. Steve chose Robin just the same! He thinks she's fun and cool and likes her so much! He chose to be honest and open with her too, putting himself out there.
Even though their interests on the surface level don't match why wouldn't they share them? Steve clearly caves when Robin wants to watch a movie he doesn't think he'll like, Robin can watch a March madness game or five.
Stop trying to take away their bond oh my god people can be close to more than one person!!! Their best friend doesn't have to be dismissive or mean or whatever in order for a romance to be special to them!
Fun bit of etiquette difference between Reddit and Tumblr is if someone misuses a word on Reddit (wrong "their", "peak"/"pique", whatever) it's common to see someone in the replies correct it and the OP will be like "oh thank you. edited my comment to fix grammar error"
If you do that on Tumblr you get mauled with teeth.
And for anyone whose deterred by Mike not being blue anymore to match the whole ‘blue (Mike) meets yellow (Will) in the West (California) theory’…. this technically still establishes the West is indeed yellow…
Not to mention, this only confirms what I assumed about the individual character posters.
Mike was in fact the ONLY character, out of everyone, to have his shirt entirely discolored. It was blue all season… so why is it perfectly colored to look vibrantly yellow..?…. With these new icons confirming that even more than before…?
If Will not the chosen hero then why give him an arc in s1 that follows the Hero’s Journey very literally. Why make him cross the threshold into the Unknown World. Why give him a literal death and resurrection and a return journey. Why code him as a hero through his narrative if inconsequential?
what are your thoughts on this take? at a first glance, this seems like a mostly american/chronically online view. if i deep it, it seems that younger people maybe think romantic relationships in media strip characters of their individuality and so they want less of it?
It was rough at first, & there were a few Strange moments (like seeing my ex step family for the first time in like 8 years), but... in the end, it was actually kind of nice? I cried 3 times total, two during the service, but Thankfully not during when I spoke.
Which. That was actually not that bad. I ended up just reading what I wrote last night/this morning, which is usually not my presentation style, but I didn't have time to practice it lol.
I made people cry, though. Several people shared that with me. One person told me that I should be a writer, and I was like "Well, Good News about That!" I hadn't thought about the fact that my experience with writing would make a good eulogy, but apparently it did!
We played Linkin Park's Shadow of the Day at the end, since Linkin Park is something we grew up listening to because of him. And I'm just always gonna have that memory of it, now.
nah bc i love how b*lly apologists never even talk about b*lly being racist theyll talk all day about him being a victim of abuse (oh him continuing the cycle of abuse, unlike jonathan? oh him being abusive towards max? yeah idk where you heard that... certainly not canon..) and they wont even mention him being racist. they know its a losing battle
people will go all "just be yourself and love yourself! :)" and then go "if you don't act the way i want, you gotta reprogram your entire way of thinking then reach into the very core of who you are and what makes you you, discard it, and replace it with this better, friendlier, more empathetic version that's coincidentally far more convenient for me to deal with than any other possible compromise we can make that you can do for me but doesn't stretch your mind to nothing but thin bands of what you'd consider 'You' :))))))"
as someone who doesn't ship stancy or jancy, i admittedly do have a preference for jancy, but for very different reasons than the ones you mentioned in your previous, i was wondering if that was something you'd be interested in hearing? i know that post was a vent, so i didn't want to assume
ohhh yeah I'd be down to hear! I am not against Jancy at all I just think canon refuses to let them be interesting even when they're being messy. to me they are a neutral ship I guess? fine either way.
It was mostly a vent about how some people are so viciously anti-stancy that the just completely ignore the exact issues in the ship they like that they bring up for stancy? and while that applies to...a lot of ships honestly, it is pretty glaring discussing jancy and specifically the discussions of the future. I'd love to hear your thoughts!
Absolutely going insane because I just noticed it because I was looking for another detail, but please look at their shoes!! They have sizes, printed very clearly and facing towards us so we can read them:
10, 6, and 10 again! Now, remember how the dnd game in ep1 forshadowed El losing because Dustin rolled an 11 and it wasn’t enough? And then Erica saved the day with a nat 20? Well, guess what’s 20? 10+10
