I think one of the worst things about watching Bones, at least for me, is that no matter what season I am on, I am always going to miss a character. The first two seasons do not have Sweets. The first three seasons do not have the rotating squinterns. The early seasons do not have Aubrey and the later seasons do not have Zack. I just want all of my blorbos in the same room please and thanks.

Ok so why did Buffalo Blezer's eyes also go green when Kat swore herself to her demons- is it because he's a demon overlord or is it because he is the father to Wendell and Wild? Also does the green eyes imply that Blezer is also Kat's demon?
Basically I just want to know more about Hell Maidens and their relationship with demons

so many people have said that as you approach your 30’s things start to fall into place but I don’t feel that at all. the closer I get the more it feels that everything is dissolving and falling apart

To learn to write one must learn both a considerable portion of what has been written and how it was written. And so the first reference of the pronoun in "make it new" is the literary inheritance; one must renew the means of literature, which is to say the literary tradition, by making it newly applicable to contemporary needs and occasions. The new must come from the old, for where else would you get it? Not, anyhow, from contempt for the old, or from ambition. -Wendell Berry, Life is a Miracle

I just want to say I hope people continue to treat Wendell and Wild as it is, a very good INDEPENDENT KIDS movie. It’s not Coarline or ParaNorman or any sort of sequel or prequel. Let’s keep it that way please :)

im 25 minutes into wendell & wild right now and oh my god. raúl is so relatable already it hurts. while i may not understand the intersectional influences of ethnicity/race, the way they've written him is making my heart ache. he's an artistic kid who keeps to himself and has incredible ambitions. he used to be part of an 'in crowd' prior to his transition from what im guessing. his classmates deadname him and then act like it was just a silly mistake even though they've known for so long and it just stings because they used to be your friends. the fact his mother has to bark down her phone "i have a son to feed. no, i have a son." because these people just can't respect these basic transitions. even the subtle things where teachers will refer to the class or student body as 'girls'. he's such a delight to see on my screen as a working class transmasc in an 'all girls' school and i love him so so much. he and kat mean the world to me and they're both such good characters to see on my screen. literally so well written. i really want to see more of kat too

Storytime!
Since it's the 1 year anniversary of Wendell and Wild, I want to share to the fandom my first time finding out about this movie, and how I ended up falling in love with stopmotion all over again.
So, picture this: About a year ago, I'm a fourth year student in college so naturally, I have no life. I spend one night browsing on the TikToks, trying to find something entertaining to watch, even for a moment. And I come across something. Something I'd never thought I'd see for the longest time.
youtube
I see this video, like four days before the movie came out on Netflix, and for the first time in a long time, I was intrigued and enchanted by what I saw. I was blown away seeing these floating demon heads talking to this girl, I should've been as confused and weirded out as Kat was when she first saw them, but I wasn't.
Granted, I love animation, and I think that stopmotion is one of the most creative, hard working, and underrated forms of animation ever used, so the movies that come along with it are especially close to me (I ate up Laika movies, Nightmare Before Christmas, and Corpse Bride as a kid), but this clip. This one clip was nothing like I've ever seen in those kinds of movies before.
I've never saw anything like it, and I knew that when it got released on Netflix a few days later, I knew I had to watch it. I had to see what all it had to offer. And what I got was nothing like I expected; it made me feel like I was a kid again and remembering how much I loved stopmotion. But what really surprised me were the titular demons; they were nothing like I expected, and maybe that's part of the reason I fell in love with one of them (but that's a story for another day 😉).
Big thanks to this movie and it's creators for getting me back to appreciating and loving stopmotion once again. Here's to more good years, ol' W&W fandom.

It's so weird-- It's super easy to be "it is what it is" about it when a belonging of mine breaks. Yeah, it sucks that I gotta buy a new one, but things happen. As my ceramics professor said: "pots break, people die." Fact of life.
But when a belonging of mine disappears without a trace and I have no idea where it could have gone? That shit is going to nag at me for the rest of time. I didn't get CLOSURE! It could be wedged in a drawer somewhere in my home and I'm none the wiser! It could be in the backseat of someone else's car! It could have been accidentally thrown away! But I will never know for sure and it's driving me INSANE!!! Where the HELL IS IT!!!!!
