How could people so polarly opposite ever make things work out between them?
Wendy questioned that each time she'd catch herself staring at the beauty of Y/N, muttering stubborn curses at herself when she'd realize you were making her lose focus and blush in front of her clique for simply existing around her.
They would try to poke sly teases at Wendy, asking her whom she was giving 'lovey-dovey' eyes to, as they'd say, but the sharp turn of her threatening eye was enough to shut them up and make them uninterested quickly.
But anyway, the question still stands—what was so enticing about you?
Why did Wendy have to like you?
You, Y/N L/N, out of everyone in this school?
There was nothing special about you.
You were just a huge distraction and if anything Wendy shouldn't have even been acknowledging your existence.
You're a nobody!
She had better things to focus on and you're not even her type!..
..Or so that's what all her stubborn mind used to tell her.
Now, there's no denying the heady effect that your presence alone has on her each time you enter the classroom. Wendy's the first person to even notice your appearance, and without fail each time, her eyes stay glued onto your figure until her conscious snaps her out of it or if one of her friends nudges her to back to reality.
Was it the way you spoke with your honey-sweet voice any time you answered a question?
The alluring look you'd unknowingly eye your teacher with when you were focused on the information she would share during discussion?
Or how Wendy thought you looked so nerdy-cute from how your large glasses would sit propped down on your nose, practically sliding off, and how your tongue just slightly poked out from the side of your mouth each time you were fixated on completing an assignment?
Or maybe it was all? (It was)
Despite whatever reasoning it could've been, all that Wendy knew in conclusion was that she wanted— No, needed you. Badly.
But she's the most feared girl at the school, along with her little gang. Everyone, plus the teachers and staff members, is scared of or intimidated by Wendy. Yes, including you too.
How could Wendy get with someone who flinches every time she walks past them or nervously looks away when they dare to steal a glance at her for any longer than a split second?
It's not like she's some kind of bully or has ever done anything to you; she'll only become aggressive if someone purposely does or says something to her or her friends to piss her off, and that is when things can get scary, so other than that Wendy's nothing more than a harmless (-ish) troublemaker if no one tries to mess with her.
But unfortunately, the damage of her aggressive and intimidating past actions has left too much of a dent into the school's atmosphere for people not to be uneased by her, and all the fear that's been instilled in everyone's minds is practically irreversible for her to suddenly try acting all soft, thinking that could make people in any way forget the girl she's shown herself to be for last few years.
And aside from the rough image she has to put up with, she knows that you on the other hand probably wouldn't even try giving her a chance to date you.
Like come on, you, Y/N, the girl who makes straight A's, never skips class, avoids drama at any cost, actually cares about her studies, and is probably the sweetest person in this school just to end up with Wendy; this little delinquent she knows that you probably portray of her as who can flip the mood just by walking into a classroom with the wrong look on her face? Not a chance.
But that dismissive thought doesn't deter Wendy because no matter what, she will still do what she can to show you, to prove to you that there's more to her than just the edgy facade she shows on the outside.
It's just.. how will she be able to show it?
She already knows that she can't casually walk up to you because either you would take that as a threat and run away before you'd allow her to get a single word out, or she wouldn't last more than two words into the conversation before you'd run away from the bubbling fear and anticipation. So either way you're going to end up running away.
Okay.. so how will Wendy be able to approach you that doesn't end up with you running away?
Maybe she could find someone who could give her your number and then you two could try messaging?
Never mind, she knows that would just creep you out even more.
Okay, no message, now what?
With each new idea Wendy comes up with, she has to scratch it out because it's either bound to not work or there's just that one flaw that completely ruins it.
Soon, that brain fog kicks her in the ass hard and she can't figure up any new ideas. It doesn't break her determination, of course, she's too prideful for that, but she's definitely losing her patience.
তততততততততততততততততততততততততততততত
Wendy walks down the hallways with her usual mean mug, clearing the path of nervous and startled people just by walking near them.
She steps past the bulletin board filled with posters of the school's weekly news, not minding any business to them until she suddenly pauses and makes a rewind back to a little certain flyer that catches her attention from the corner of her eye.
"After school tutoring with a buddy!" is printed in bold blue letters on the poster.
Wendy takes time to read more into it, finding out that the school's top students have joined together to host this little tutoring program to bring students with struggling grades to stay after school so they can get help on understanding their course better and getting their grades up. The person signing up can also choose who they want as their tutor and, surprise surprise, you just so happened to be one of the top students involved with this.
This is perfect. If you end up tutoring Wendy then she can finally have an excuse to approach and start some form of conversation with you, and you wouldn't even have any choice but to talk with her!
But the only downside to this is that you're tutoring for the math section. Wendy can't stand math for the hell of it, that's by far her weakest subject and just one look at her grades can be backed up as evidence to prove it. Also, the spots are very limited since it's only around fifteen students who'll even be tutoring, and there's also another student who's tutoring for math, so it's not even guaranteed to Wendy that she'll end up with you as her tutor if someone doesn't get to you first or if she'll even manage to turn her papers in time before all the tutoring spots, in general, are taken.
And again, she just doesn't want to deal with anything math-related.
But.. whatever it takes for her to talk to you.. she'll just have to push herself through it and risk these chances.
Once she gets the papers, she fills them out and turns them in as quickly as she can, determined to seal her spot with you, and impatiently lives the day on and she waits for the upcoming Friday to find out whether or not she makes it in.
The exact moment as Wendy arrives home from school that Friday afternoon, looking down to check her phone as the time changes from 4:59 pm to 5:00 pm on the spot, she grins widely once that confirmation email pops up in her notification bar, letting her know that she's eligible for the tutoring and that you've been assigned to be her tutor.
Well.. Of course, Wendy got accepted so easily, it would've been incredibly stupid on the school's part for her not to be; the second the administrators received her filled-out papers she was the first student they even signed up for the program. And really.. if the school could've, they would've tried to sign her up for more tutoring other than just math.
Wendy's small moment of happiness, though, is lifted momentarily once the sheer realization dawns on her, the remembrance of certain things said in the tutoring flyer and the things she'd have to face that she didn't take into account earlier all floods back into memory.
She's in tutoring. Tutoring.. meaning she's going to have to be associated with a bunch of other dumbos and idiots.
Also, tutoring sessions are supposed to be happening after school in the cafeteria.
Everyone.
All at the same time.
It doesn't matter to her that the tutoring is one-on-one or if everyone's going to be spread out in their own "private" section of the cafeteria, she can't be seen in front of all these people receiving help. She knows she doesn't actually plan on taking the tutoring seriously since it's just a tactic to get closer to you, but no one's going to catch on to that from the bare eye! They're just going to see Wendy as a weakling!
She can't let that happen.
She hurriedly types out an email to Mrs. White—the vice principal and head person in charge of this program—asking if there are options to tutor somewhere else, and not too long after, she responds back suggesting that you two could tutor separately from everyone else in one of the empty classrooms, but that solution is not good enough for Wendy.
She needs the two of you to be alone, somewhere more private than that.
Matter of fact, she doesn't even want to be on school grounds when you two are having your sessions.
Wendy writes again, asking in desperation if it's possible she and you could work off campus, but all Wendy's told is that the first session has to be done on school grounds, just so everyone can be monitored and can be seen if there needs to be any switching around and other nonsense Wendy didn't care to finish reading about.
Although.. Mrs. White at the end did say that after the second or third session, she'd see what she could do for you two regarding this, but Wendy knows that "I'll see what I can do" bullshit 99% of the time usually means there's nothing that can be done.
Well, that's great.
Wendy's nowhere near satisfied with this, but again, if she wants to get closer to you, then she'll just have to deal with this nonsense.. she supposes..
তততততততততততততততততততততততততততততত
Sooner than Wendy can even realize, the day finally comes.
She never realized how much she'd really been anticipating this day until the final dismissal bell of the day rang, her heart dropping as everything suddenly hit for her to process; she can't tell whether she's more excited or nervous.
As she exits the classroom, her little gang is confused once they see her creeping the opposite way of the exit and all begin to question her.
She makes up a quick lie along the lines of needing to go to the bathroom and that all of them could just go ahead and leave since she'll catch up with them later. And like the airheads they are, they somehow believe her, not even giving her any further questions before they go on and leave campus.
Wendy lets out a sigh of relief and once they're far out of her peripheral, Wendy quickly speeds down the hallways, not caring one bit if she bumps into anyone, and hides around a secluded corner in the science building. She makes sure to keep herself hidden from any lurking eyes, continuously checking the time on her phone to see if it's anywhere close to the time yet for the tutoring.
"Hurry up.." she mutters impatiently looking down at the time and tapping her finger on the wall behind her as she keeps an alert eye out to make sure no one's walking near her.
The slow minutes tick by and it only serves to heighten Wendy's anticipation, but after what feels like forever she looks back at the time and sees that it's just five minutes past the time tutoring was officially supposed to begin.
She finally curves out from the corner, quickly peeking her head out to make sure the coast is clear before she marks her way toward the cafeteria doors. She takes in a deep breath, clenching her fists to her sides before she brings herself to open the doors.
As Wendy steps inside, she looks around at all the people inside getting situated with each other. Lingering near the entrance, some people sitting around spot her there and a quick change of emotion from their once cheery, talkative expressions is noticed—Fear.
Of course..
Wendy rolls her eyes at them, unbothered, and walks towards an area where there's a group of people sitting, assuming that's where she should be sitting too.
She sits at the end of the table and immediately buries her head into her phone, not wanting to draw any attention to herself, which honestly she knows is pretty useless since her classmates can very well still see her and are very well terrified and confused about why she's here.
Wendy feels an abrupt shift in the table as she watches her phone and looks in the corner of her eye to notice everyone scooted further away from her. She scoffs, putting her attention back to her phone and muttering under her breath, "Losers."
Everyone around Wendy joins with their tutoring partners as she restlessly continues to wait for you. She can feel cold sweats trickling down her forehead as her hands begin to shake. Wow, you were the one making Wendy nervous. Only could you ever do that to her.
She continues to distract herself scrolling through her social media until she notices a pair of feet approaching her and hears a small voice speak out. "Uh.. Wendy?"
Wendy looks up, her heart skipping a beat as she meets eyes with no one other than you. But her demeanor clearly doesn't show her nervousness, seeing as you cling tighter to your notebook in a tense stance.
Wendy quickly softens her features once she notices your uneasiness and tries her best to play a sort of soft, inviting smile instead. "Y/N?"
You nod your head hesitantly, not fully trusting the sincerity in Wendy's smile, and look down at your notebook.
"So.. looks like I'm tutoring you," you mumble with a blatant tone of awkwardness, placing a piece of hair behind your ear as Wendy nods along.
"Which table would you like to work at?" you ask, trying your best to mask the edging fear layered behind your voice with a fake smile.
Wendy's eyes spark up and she suddenly stands up from the table, causing you to flinch and instinctively take a step back.
"Actually, I was told that we were allowed to study alone in one of the unused classrooms."
Your pupils dilate instantly just at the mere thought of being trapped alone with Wendy. It was already bad enough that you were chosen by her to be her tutor buddy, but now she wants you two to be isolated from everyone just to where she could do god knows what, whether it's something to you or someone else? This is like asking for death.
"Uhh.. are you sure you wouldn't just like to study over there somewhere?" You gesture your finger towards a different direction in the cafeteria in hopes of changing her mind, but her plan stays firm as she shakes her head.
"And be stuck seen in here with these losers? It's already degrading enough for me just having to sit at this table, you're real funny if you think I'm staying over here any longer." Wendy walks past you without warning, heading towards the exit.
"B-But.." you call out weakly as she walks further away. You mutter a curse under your breath, holding in a deep breath before you push your legs to reluctantly follow after the troubling girl.
You guys walk down the empty hallways in silence, an awkward tension very noticeably stirring up between you two as you try your best to avoid eye contact, maintaining a fair distance while Wendy struggles to think of how she can spark up a flowing conversation.
After a few turns searching around the hallways, you two find a vacant classroom. You open the door with your key, but Wendy still somehow manages to get a hold of the door before you, holding it open as her hand gestures for you to go inside. You quirk a brow but nod your head in a simple gratitude as you step inside. The further you walk inside, the more you start to regret signing up to do this tutoring program.
You really don't want to be alone with Wendy. You don't understand— Well, you do understand why you're so unsettled around Wendy because of obvious reasons, but it's not like Wendy's ever done anything to you specifically. She's never hit you, threatened you, or given you a dirty look.. Shit, you're not sure if you've even spoken to her other than today.
And if you're being honest with yourself, you know you're only scared of her because of all the rumors that's been passed around. Because truth be told, you've never really seen her in action before with your own eyes.
So why is your body giving you symptoms that make you seem like you're so terrified of her?
Why is your heart beating in erratic patterns even while she's not doing anything to you?
Maybe you don't trust her?
Yeah, that's it. You just don't trust her.
You sit at one of the tiny desks and Wendy pulls a chair out from another desk, setting it across from you. As she pulls out her phone you look back down at your clipboard. "Alright, so you need help with algebra 2 I see.." you mutter and Wendy hums unenthusiastically.
"Do you have any homework assignments that we can look over?" you ask, but she shakes her head muttering a quick "nope."
"Well, do you have any note—"
"Nope," Wendy says bluntly, interrupting you before you can barely finish your sentence.
"Do you have anything algebra-related in your binder?"
Wendy shuns you with another sharp “no.”
You sigh with disappointment, though you're not surprised, mumbling an awkward "okay" and flip through your work folder. "Well, that's okay because I have some worksheets in here that we can work on together, so—"
"—Hey," Wendy cuts in again, a little more aggressively than she had intended. Your ears perk up from the sudden, harsh interruption as your heart begins to gradually pick up its pace again as you hold your breath. "Yes?"
"You know, this is our first day of sessions. Don't you think we should get to at least know each other better so that we can get more comfortable working with each other?"
Oh, you're pretty sure you know Wendy well enough.
"Um.. I guess?" you mumble with uncertainty.
Wendy smirks and leans back into the chair, grunting as she stretches out her arms. Your eyes narrow down for a split second, noticing the shiny belly piercing adorned on her toned stomach as her dress shirt slightly lifts. Cute.
"So.. I already know we have each other's names established by now—me, Wendy, you, Y/N," Wendy says and you nod.
"So then, Y/N, tell me some things about yourself so that I can get to know you better."
"Just anything?" you ask and Wendy nods.
What is this, an interrogation? Why would Wendy care anything about you? Was this all just a distraction so that you two couldn't start on any work? (Yes, it definitely is)
"Um.. Uh.." you don't know what to start with or say first because, well, what are you supposed to say when you're put in such a sudden and awkward position?
"Come on. Just tell me the basics, like what's your favorite color?" Wendy says trying to help by giving you some ideas.
"Umm, my favorite color is blue."
Wendy nods, biting her lip. "Me too.. What's your favorite candy?"
"I like any sour candy," you state simply.
Wendy hums with the subtle nod of her head again. You continue for the remaining minute answering Wendy's questions about yourself, but you suddenly begin to stumble on your words, avoiding eye contact each time you speak as her piercing gaze bores into you in a somewhat intimidating way.
"Yeah, I have a younger sister and she.. she.." Wendy's resting bitch face is in full play and it does nothing but intimidate you. Her dull eyes pierce into the depths of yours, an impassive look's glued to her face as the corner of her lips is hung downturned.
Wendy's clueless about your fear because this is only her focused face, she's taking the time to study each and every one of your intricate features. She can't control the way her features curve, she doesn't even notice her facial language looks threatening in any way right now, but once she sees how uncomfortable you've suddenly gotten she quickly realizes and softens her expression again.
You still don't say much, avoiding eye-to-eye and staring down in your lap.
Wendy frowns and taps her acrylic in front of you to grab your attention. You look up, breath slightly shaky as you lock eyes with her once again.
"Hey, I know this is kinda awkward having to work with me n' stuff, and I know you're probably scared of me, I can't really blame you, I guess, but I swear I won't do anything to you.
Besides, it's not like you've ever done anything to piss me off, so there's nothing to even worry abbot. I promise I won't bite." There's a hint of humor to her words.
You look into her softened eyes and for once, you seek a little comfort. You notice your muscles have tensed down and you sense a small truth to her words. Still hesitant, you mutter an "okay" before you and Wendy continue this little get-to-know-each-other thing, you gradually loosening up and getting more comfortable the more you talk with her.
You and Wendy end up not getting any worksheets done or even starting on anything.
তততততততততততততততততততততততততততততত
You sit alone in the classroom, your patience gradually wearing thin as you wait for Wendy to arrive for your next meet-up.
It's nearly been seven minutes past the time the session was originally supposed to begin and Wendy still hasn't shown up or answered any of your questioning text messages regarding where she was.
You lean back in the chair, your feet propped up on the desk as you scroll through your phone to pass the time quickly. After another three minutes or so, Wendy finally arrives with a plastic bag in hand.
She sits in the seat already propped out for her and places her belongings down. "Hey!"
"Hi," you mumble. "You're twelve minutes late."
"My bad, my bad. Just had to go to the store real quick." She lifts the plastic bag, pulling out two water bottles and two bags of candy.
She slides one of the bags and a bottle over to you. "Here."
You never asked her to bring you anything.
You look down and see a bag full of blue raspberry gummy bears all coated in that sour sugar.
Coincidence?
Wendy brought you a bag of blue, sour candies right after you told her the other day that your favorite color was blue and your favorite types of candy were sour?
Maybe you're thinking too much into it since Wendy also bought herself the exact kind of gummies, but your intuition was right because Wendy was, in fact, doing this on purpose. You didn't know it, but this was her subtle way of showing her affection towards you.
You soon noticed a pattern as your sessions continued; Wendy would distract you with questions about yourself, never letting the two of you do any real work, and then the next session she would gift you small things that were or resembled your likings you would've mentioned the day before.
She would be slick about it too because she would never bring attention to the gifts, she would just hand them to you, never bring it up afterward and then continue her distraction question any time you would even think about saying the word algebra.
You can admit, you do appreciate the small gestures from Wendy, but you did not sign up for the two of you to just sit around hanging out and doing nothing productive.
You only volunteered to tutor, not to waste an hour out of your day making conversation with someone who's not even your friend. You might not be scared of her anymore now but you're just barely starting to settle your comfort around her.
You two have already had four sessions now and haven't gone far with anything. The most "work" Wendy's probably done so far is glance at a worksheet..
But you have to hurry up and get some sort of progress in because if the principal finds out you two have just been dilly-dallying the entire time then they won't hesitate to remove you from the program.
তততততততততততততততততততততততততততততত
Wendy makes her appearance very known as she busts into the classroom with a mischievous smile, late as usual, and plops down into her seat haphazardly. "Hey, so what's your—"
"We're doing work today."
The charm in Wendy's eyes darkens and her smile fades almost instantly from your sudden interruption. "What?.."
You slam your folder in the middle of the desk and slap a blank worksheet on top of it. "I said, we're doing work today."
Wendy narrows her eyes at you, quirking a brow. "Okay well, it's Friday. So that means today's technically a free day so really we can just start working on assignments next week—"
"—No, Wendy!" you state firmly, making sure to amplify the harshness in the tone of your voice. Your eyes widen slightly as you surprise even yourself with your use of assertion, it's a foreign concept to your usual sweet nature, but you narrow them down back seriously. "If you continue to goof off instead of completing any of your assignments then I'm going to have no choice but to cancel our sessions and find another person to tutor for."
Wendy's taken aback slightly by your change in tone, her impassive expression slightly making you uneasy since you can't tell what she's thinking or how she'll take this, but she doesn't try to fight your words and just ends up sighing, resting her cheek into her palm as she looks off with disinterest. "K.."
Concealing your feelings with a smile, you nod as a wave of relief washes over you, inhaling a jagged deep breath after you had unknowingly held in your breath again and pointing to the first problem on the sheet.
"This is a pretty simple problem to start with. Do you think you can try this out for me?" you ask with a forced tone of enthusiasm just for Wendy to shrug nonchalantly. "I guess."
You hand Wendy one of your pencils and slide the sheet closer to her. "Remember, I'm here for a reason, so whatever step you may get stuck on just ask about it."
Wendy gives you a single nod without looking up at you and stares down at the worksheet, all the numbers and wacky symbols already giving her a headache. Math.. God, the one thing she was trying to avoid doing.
After a minute of Wendy just staring at the paper, not even attempting to jot anything down, you tilt your head. "Do you need any assistance?"
Wendy groans. "No.. No. I'm fine! Just.." She grits her teeth, airing in aggressive breaths as her grip on your pencil intensifies until she punctures the sharp tip of the pencil into the paper, the lead slightly crumbling underneath the force as a tiny hole is formed. Oh no, she's getting stressed.
"Wendy seriously, I—"
"—I got it. Okay?!" she snaps, smoke practically blazing out from her ears. You flinch back from the aggressive tone, just nodding and deciding to stay silent, not wanting to irritate her any more than she already is.
You watch closely as Wendy sketches random lines and numbers, erasing them all and rewriting different ones just to erase those ones as well. Her mind cascades into a whirlwind of panic as the pressure starts to weigh down further on her, beginning to hurriedly jot down random stuff in the hope it will form some sort of sense and refresh her memory.
Wendy doesn't know a single thing she's doing. She never pays attention in her classes, especially not math, so this girl can't even grasp an idea of how to start these stupid equations.
And now she's in front of you, looking like a dumbass as she struggles with a problem that's supposedly supposed to be one of the easiest.
Wendy knows most people look down upon or think lowly of her when it comes to her smartness and knowledge in the core subjects, and of course, she's been one to never give a fuck about their opinions because she can just fight anyone who dares to speak about it, but it's different now that she's stuck in front of you struggling on basic problems, feeling your piercing eyes never leave her.. It makes her feel smaller. Dumber.
Heat radiates off Wendy as her cheeks flush a bitter, crimson red, and her face contorts into a grimace as her mind turns foggy. She's absolutely reached her limit now. She throws your pencil across the room, you ducking sideways just in time, and she buries her face into her palms, groaning in almost a screech and roughly pulling down on the sensitive skin of her face.
"Wendy? What's wrong? What are you struggling with?" you quickly glance down at her paper, seeing all the eraser markings and random numbers.
"Fuc— Everything! I don't fucking know any of this x and y shit!" Wendy blurts out, panically running her fingers through her hair as her face hues a darker red from stress and embarrassment, maybe even shame. "I—I—"
"—Wendy, calm down. Look at me."
She hesitantly lifts her head until you two lock eyes. You bore your vision far into the depths of her dark eyes, frustration clearly displayed outside, but there's also a newfound look of vulnerability you notice as you search deeper—something you've never seen Wendy express.
"I feel so stupid, Y/N.. I-I just don't know what to do," Wendy admits sheepishly, her eyes wavering as she looks down with a burning shame.
"Wendy.. it's okay to not know everything. That's the reason why you were put in tutoring in the first place—so I can help you. (Well..)
There's no need to push yourself down." You reach out to lightly place your hand on her arm but quickly pull back once she stares at you again with her sharp gaze.
Man, now you're talking to Wendy like this? Never has she felt so little, showing this side of her vulnerability to someone, especially to you. But in a way, despite how bashful she may feel right now, there's still a comfort she feels in admitting her weakness to you.
"Come on, look at me," you encourage. She looks back at you and sighs.
"I'll promise to go easy on you and make sure you understand this well enough, you just have to stop avoiding it."
Wendy tenses down and nods. "Okay.."
You smile and pull out your folder again. You pull out a note packet and place it in front of her. "Okay, let's start with refreshing our memory with the basics."
তততততততততততততততততততততততততততততত
To both of your surprise, there was a upgrade in progress from Wendy after the next few tutoring sessions.
No, it wasn't and still isn't an easy flow teaching Wendy when you're basically starting from the bottom, but at least you could tell she was actually trying, putting in some kind of effort. Although she still managed to sneak in some distraction questions to steal some minutes of your time; there was just no way Wendy was going to make it through an entire hour doing nothing but work, especially in her most hated subject. Even if it's with you.
She also continued to give you small gifts of the things you liked at the beginning of your sessions and you would still humbly accept them.
"Is this right?.." Wendy asks as she nervously slides the worksheet toward you.
She bites her tongue in anticipation as she watches you inspect her work. You look back over to her with a soft smile and nod. "Mhm, you did this perfectly!"
Wendy's eyes immediately light up, biting her lip as she tries to suppress a smile.
You've also been very observant of Wendy recently. Very.
Her actions, and the way she reacts to certain things.. One thing specifically you've noticed was the way her eyes perk up anytime you're pleased with an equation she solves correctly. She genuinely gets so giddy and smiley, it's almost like she's happy to make to proud.
Or the look of contentment on her face whenever you'd flash her an assuring smile, letting her know that it was okay for her to make mistakes whenever she'd start to become hard on herself.
You've also noticed other things.. Like her piercing obsession.
Both of her ears are pricked with piercings from the bottom to the very top; it almost seems like there's a new one placed in every other session! She has a belly piercing that you've already noticed during earlier meet-ups, a nose piercing, a lip piercing, a tongue piercing?!
And sometimes when she.. free balls it, you catch yourself looking down at her chest and noticing piercings in a little certain area you're too ashamed to admit you enjoy staring at. But hey, you only stare back when they look at you first!
As more time went by, you started to realize that even on days when you two weren't having your sessions, all the images of Wendy's piercings stayed engraved in your mind.
You weren't shy to admit, they were sexy and you did believe they made Wendy more of an attractive person.
But maybe that wasn't the only thing that you felt made her attractive..
Maybe it was the flow of her husky voice every time she spoke, the plumpness of her dark red lips moving keeping you transfixed.
Or maybe it was all the silver rings adorned on her slim fingers clacking against one another.
Or the comforting vanilla musk that trailed her every which way she went, although you did think it didn't really match her vibe.. But maybe that was what you thought made you find it more attractive.
Maybe it was the curve of her slender nose or the contour of her defined cheekbones. Her perfectly smokey makeup or the thick bangs that just barely covered the edge of her eyes as she carefully gazed at you with that look she'd shoot you with each time she was focused on listening to you talk.. the way she'd slowly lick her lips and ever so lightly bite the bottom of her lip.. every 'mhm' she hummed and the gentle nod of comprehension that'd come right after when you would ask her if she understood what you said..
Maybe.
Maybe.. you not only thought these qualities made her an attractive person.. but that these were the specific things that made you attracted to her.
Maybe the flutter in your heart every time you would catch yourself around her all this time wasn't actually out of fear or of not trusting her, but because deep down you were falling for her and that you subconscious was just trying to dismiss those feelings..
And just maybe.. you need to stop thinking 'maybe' to all of these things when you know it's all true.
You can't even try to deny it.
There's no 'maybe' anymore.
You are crushing hard on Wendy.
And normally you would shame yourself for having these feelings, falling for someone like Wendy out of everyone, but there's something about this side of her she's been showing you for the past few weeks and her charms that doesn't make you feel any regrets for feeling this way and only drags you deeper into her love trance
You and Wendy are basically flirting with each other in your sessions now.
She tells you jokes to make you blush, you stare at her in ways that you know will get a bright flush out of her, you two give footsies under the desk, you two bring each other snacks, sharing them, you two just blush at each other when you're not even doing anything!
There really is no hiding it, at this point.
Anyone with vision can clearly see you two want each other.
And you weren't stupid, though maybe a little obvious at first, because as more sessions went on you quickly caught on and realized that all of Wendy's gestures since the very beginning were all planned out and were done with the intent to win you over. And it was working.
Wendy on the other hand still wasn't sure whether or not you were feeling her.
Obviously, she could see the difference in your comfort level with her from the beginning of your sessions to the present, but what if you were only seeing her as friend material at most?.. which of course isn't true because you know you like Wendy, but as long as you don't confess it to her then she won't ever be sure.
তততততততততততততততততততততততততততততত
"Okay, solve this last problem for me, and then we'll be done for today," you tell Wendy as you point to one of the unanswered problems sitting on the worksheet.
Wendy nods, beginning to write away, and after no more than two minutes she hands you back the sheet. "Is this right?"
You scan her work and with a simple smile you lift your gaze back to her, humming a gleeful "Yup!"
Wendy blushes and applauds mini claps as she grins widely. "Finally. We're done!" she celebrates, springing up from the seat and picking up her bag.
You follow along with her, gathering all your belongings and putting them up before you throw your bag over your shoulder and follow Wendy out of the classroom, promptly locking the door afterward.
"So, where are you headed to once you leave?" Wendy asks as the two of you strut down the empty halls side by side, barely an inch of distance between you two.
You roll your eyes slightly with a chuckle. "Why do you ask me this every day when you know what my answer's going to be; home."
"Oh yeah.." Wendy mumbles as you roll your eyes again playfully. "So, what are you gonna do when you get home?"
"Study," you tell her simply and she fake gags, muttering "nerd" which results in you playfully shoving her side as you two fall into a mirth of laughter.
As you two exit the building, you feel a sudden buzz come from your phone. You look down and immediately frown, seeing as your mom just now had given you a heads up that she wasn't available to pick you up from school today.
Wendy hears your groan and turns to you. "What?"
"My mom can't pick me up, now I have to order an Uber.." you mutter, crossing your arms.
"Orr.. you could just let me take you home," Wendy blurts in a suggestion, holding her hands up as she holds a shrugging stance. "Just saying."
You shoot her an unsure look, not because of the idea of her wanting to take you home, but because that would mean you would have to ride on her motorcycle. And for someone who's never stepped foot near a motorcycle having someone like Wendy be the first person to drive them on one is kind of a terrifying thought.
"I don't know.."
"Oh come on, it won't be that bad," Wendy assures rolling her eyes.
You narrow your eyes at her. "Sure.."
You cling around Wendy for dear life as you scream the entire fifteen minutes on the ride to your house.
Wendy giggles and continuously jokes with you throughout the way, teasing you with scares by randomly swerving or stopping in the middle of the road to tick you off.
As soon as she pulls up to your house you let out a huge sigh of relief. With how she was driving, you thought you weren't going to make it out alive.
As she parks, you continue to keep your head leaned on her shoulder, your arms still wrapped around her waist, squeezing tightly onto her abs.
Starting to blush from your action, Wendy jerks her head, clearing her throat to catch your attention, and you quickly widen your eyes in realization, letting go of her now feeling embarrassed once you see how you remained around her.
You unbuckle and pull off your helmet, handing it back to Wendy and she lazily hangs it on the steering handle. She rotates her body to the side and turns only her head to you as she watches you pull off your backpack and reach inside for your glasses.
You place your glasses on, slipping back on your backpack before looking over to Wendy, immediately locking into her gaze. "I guess I'll go now.." you announce unenthusiastically, prepping yourself to sit up from the motorcycle, but yet you don't find yourself moving.
"Alright.." Wendy says lowly, continuing to stare at you as she waits for you to make your move, but you don't budge. Not even an inch.
You continue to sit, motionless, held in a standstill gazing at Wendy as she shoots you an equal gaze.
She bites the corner of her lips hungrily, you unknowingly wetting yours slightly. The buzzing tension between you two grows as you subtly inch closer to each other; the unknown force between you is practically impossible to resist and the way Wendy's staring at you is so much more different than usual.. The burning intent behind her eyes is unspoken, yet you can understand it so well. And Wendy can see all the desires floating in the pearls of your unwavering eyes, letting her know that you're feeling the same thing she is.
The both of you can already sense what's coming next.
The thumping in your heart beats quicker as you inch closer to the point where both of your legs are pressed against each other. You two continue and continue to hold your hungry gazes until you finally crash your lips together in a heated kiss full of need and longing.
Your hand explores the back of her head, her hand cupping your cheek tightly as the kiss gradually deepens. Her tongue slips past your teeth in search of yours, dancing all around in your mouth and you softly moan at the action.
You two are kissing like you've done this thousands of times with each other.
After a few seconds you two finally pull back breathlessly, your chests heaving up and down and faces red.
"Oh.. wow.." Wendy mumbles, biting her lip as she eyes your numb lips that are now stained with her cherry lipstick.
You feel your cheeks burning, not even knowing what to say, and dart your eyes between Wendy and your house. You stare at her, wrapping your arms around her waist as you pull yourself in impossibly closer against her.
"I want to do that again."
তততততততততততততততততততততততততততততত
"Anddd done. Is this good?" Wendy asks, looking down at you with a simpering smile and holding out the sheet with her completed equation.
You take a few seconds to inspect it before placing it on the desk and warmly smiling up at her, silently already letting her know what your answer is. "Yup, you got this correct too!"
Wendy grins, holding her arms tighter around your neck and adjusting herself more comfortably as she sits in your lap. "Woo! You know, that was the fifth one in a row I've gotten correct. Don't I get my reward now?" Her palm rests under your chin, the tips of her fingers gently tilting your head back so your eyes only meet with her gaze.
You hum with a nod and lean in, softly pressing your lips against Wendy's. Your hands continue to hold tightly onto her waist, your nails gently digging into her back while Wendy keeps your head firmly propped up in her hold.
What's supposed to be a quick, innocent kiss quickly escalates into something a little more. You part your lips slightly, allowing her greater access to mingle her warm tongue inside with yours. Her breathy moans against your lips buzz throughout your body and you can taste the metal of her piercing as her needy tongue swirls all around your mouth.
Wendy squeezes her thighs around you tighter, clutching onto your hair in her strong grip and you moan slightly, lifting your eyelids as she gently bites down on your bottom lip. "You've been doing such a good job today." The gentle praise vibrates against her lips, sending needy chills up her spine and eliciting a sheepish giggle to bubble out as her cheeks flush a rosy pink. You smile smugly at the way you can make her shy so easily and lick her bottom lip into another messy kiss.
Yeah, uhh.. so you two do that now.
Ever since that afternoon of you guys' first kiss, a new relationship has been blooming between the two of you.
You're not officially dating, but you know you two have made it way past the friend stage now, and by this point, you two do know you like each other.. so why aren't you together?
That's a very good question that neither of you can answer.
Aside from trying to figure out this complicated relationship, you two are incredibly flirty and touchy with each other now, clearly.
Of course, though, only during the tutor sessions; you two act like no more than strangers during the school day, but sometimes during the one class you two share, Wendy will discreetly slide you little trinkets or candies as she walks past your desk.
Also, to bring context about that abrupt make-out session.. a method that you two have thought up to help encourage Wendy, even more, to complete her assignments and get them done correctly is treating her with a kiss for each equation she solves correctly on the first try. And this strategy has worked like a charm.
Like, of course, Wendy will do everything to try her very hardest so that she'll be able to share a kiss with you and hear the sweet praises you love to sneak in between that you know drives her crazy. How could she pass that up?!
You two continue to messily moan into each other's mouths, your hands eagerly exploring all around each other's bodies and the kiss becoming sloppier and losing more meaning as you two melt further into each other.
Right as Wendy's hand slides down to your lower abdomen, daring to try taking this heated make-out session into the direction of something further, she's interrupted as two firm knocks are heard from outside the door.
Now, who would be trying to come in here at this time?
Wendy groans, lazily pressing a series of kisses against your lips until she finally pulls back. She looks down at you in a daze, a smile quickly lifting the corners of her lips as she notices her lipstick smudged all over and around your lips. She places her thumb over your soft cheek, swiping away some of the lipstick before she pushes herself off of you and heads towards the door.
Wendy opens the door, her expression flipping like a light switch as a mean mug already plays on her sharp features, but she softens up just slightly once she sees it's only Mrs. White outside. "Hello, girls!"
As Wendy says her greeting, the older woman notices both of your faces, seeing that deep red stained messily all around your mouths.
She furrows her eyebrows in question but quickly shakes it off knowing she'd rather mind her business and not know what you two had been doing prior.
"What brings you here?" you ask as you discreetly try to wipe your mouth, Wendy's lipstick staining brightly onto the back of your hand.
"I'm just here to check up on everyone's progress, to see how well we've all been doing." She walks towards the desk you're sitting at, tapping her pen against her clipboard and clicking her tongue as she turns to look at Wendy. "And I especially need to check up on this one."
Wendy rolls her eyes while you cover your mouth in a silent chuckle.
"Yeah yeah, whatever." Wendy lazily flops down back in her seat as Mrs. White leans against the teacher's desk.
"Wait, so what are we supposed to show you?" Wendy asks, folding her arms under her chest.
"Just try your best to solve some problems on your own. And you," Mrs. White looks over in your direction, "ask her some questions about what you two have been working on so far to see how well she can answer them."
You nod in response and grab your folder, pulling out a sheet of notes. You and Wendy shoot each other one last preparing look, letting out a sigh before you two begin.
Mrs. White is astonished once she sees Wendy actually answering your questions correctly and solving these equations all by herself without even asking or looking over to you for any assistance. Yes, she might've gotten some wrong, but looking at the fact a majority of the problems she solved were correct was just enough for Mrs. White to put a smile on her face.
"Wow, Wendy. I can't believe you've improved so much! I'm seriously so proud of you."
Well, Wendy definitely can't say she hears that "proud" word told to her often. Wendy rolls her eyes, playing a smug smile as she blushes. "Yeah, you should be proud of me!"
Mrs. White shakes her head with a sigh and turns her focus over to you. "And you, Y/N. You've done an excellent job at tutoring Wendy; I don't think I've ever seen growth this significant in such a short time. I'm proud of you both."
You smile coyly, sharing your words of gratitude before Wendy groans and starts to shoo her off. "Okay this is getting too sappy for me, you can get out now."
Mrs. White holds up a pointing finger at Wendy, pursing her lips as she fights to stay professional with her words before she shakes her head, fanning off Wendy, and waves her last goodbye at you as she exits the room.
Once the door closes, Wendy looks over to you, grinning wildly seeing how your arms are already spread out for her.
She steps around the desk, straddling back into your lap and places her hands on your cheeks.
"Now, where did we leave off?"
তততততততততততততততততততততততততততততত
As more weeks go by, Wendy only progresses more and more.
If someone had seen her after not knowing who she was a few months ago, they would've never guessed this math genius was the same person.
She's improved so well to the point that it seems like she didn't even need the last few tutoring sessions she had just because she was that good! The grade in her algebra class has skyrocketed to percentages that no one would've believed she could ever achieve, and not only that, but you've also motivated her to take her other classes seriously too!
Of course, they haven't succeeded in advancing as well as her math grade, but at least she was finally turning in her work on time for once in all these years.
Also, Wendy's been so distracted in wanting to impress you, to please you, and to make you happy that she hasn't stumbled herself into any trouble or drama! No fights, no skipping, no detentions, no suspensions. None.
Wendy never expected to go this far with math, let alone any other subjects! It's so crazy for Wendy to think all she needed to take school seriously and become a (sort of) changed woman was to drag a hot, nerdy girl into her life.
The two of you sit on the bench outside the front of the school after you guys finally finish your last tutoring session of the year.
Your head comfortably lays on Wendy's shoulder as you two stare off into the orangey-pink hues of the nearing sunset. As she gently rubs on your thigh continuing to stare off into the sunset, she can't help but want to express the thought that's been lingering in the back of her mind for a while now. She turns over to you, barely parting her lips.
"Are we dating?"
Your ears perk up at the sudden question, turning only your head to her. "Are we?"
You two, after all these weeks and months, still haven't confirmed anything between each other. Why??
Why do you two have to be so complicated??
"I mean, we touch each other like we're a couple, we gaze at each other like we're a couple, and we definitely kiss like we're a couple.."
You turn the rest of your body to her and smirk, placing your hand on her waist and scooting in closer to her. "Well, then I guess you've found your answer."
Wendy blushes and looks down before she meets back with your gaze. "Well, can we go ahead and, you know, confirm it with each other—make it official? Our whole dynamic is going to confuse me even more if we don't put any official label on each other soon."
You giggle coyly and tilt your head. "Alright then. Will you be my gir—"
Before you can finish the sentence, you feel a finger forced onto your lips. You furrow your brows while Wendy shakes her head.
"No, I want to be the one to ask you it!"
You pull her finger down and shake your head slowly as you try to hide a laugh. "Alright then."
Wendy holds onto your hands, interlocking your fingers and squeezing you tightly.
"Y/N.." Wendy starts with a shaky breath, the intense blush on her cheeks taking over as she struggles to not stray her eyes away from you out of shyness. Wendy.. being shy. Once again, only you can do this to her, make her feel like this. "Will you.. be my girlfriend?"
You squeeze her hands tighter, your knuckles turning whiter and flashing her a bright smile. "As long as you'll be mine."
And with that left off as the final words, you two lean in, sealing your relationship with a gentle but strong and promising kiss.
i REALLY hope you guys enjoyed this..

Red Velvet Reaction : Almost First Kiss
i thought to do this on a whim and i think it'd be rather cute so i hope you all enjoy!! i do base everything on the first meeting so if there are bits of confusion you can read it but its not necessarily needed red velvet members x reader disclaimer/s : a few curses but in terms of content we're good. fluffy and angsty content, wbk.
Bae Joohyun / Irene
Tumblr media
Social cues weren’t exactly the oldest member of Red Velvet’s specialty. Of course she was intelligent and very aware of her own social image when it came to her idol persona. But she was still often lost when it came to relating to others.
You loved that about her, but also it made being her girlfriend an uphill battle.
Like during your first getaway as an official couple. It had been a perfect night, you and her having a quiet night going from food stall to food stall. Her dietary restrictions shot to hell with her wrapped in your arm as you walked by the cool ocean.
Once she was feeling tired of walking, you halted and placed your overcoat on the sandy beach. Irene felt a rush of heat flood her cheeks as you plopped down and opened your arm to her with a loving and warm smile on your lips. The crashing of the waves against the shore relaxed the singer to no ends, your warmth only adding to the sensation.
“I think you needed this, with all the performances and dealing with the girls,” Irene giggled beside you as you imply her members are more mischief than their worth. “You haven’t had much time to unwind and be yourself.” You place your lips on the crown of her head.
Irene says nothing for a moment, only moving to wrap her arms around your waist. “All of that was fine…” She whispers quietly before shyly pressing her nose into your neck. “I just hated being away from you.” You smile and pull her closer to you as the night moves in front of the both of you, enjoying the calm it brought.
Irene soaks in the moment, bliss was the only thing on her mind. You on the other hand, can’t you’re your eyes off her lips, wondering just how they would feel against yours. If when you two did kiss would it be warm like she’d always imagined or if when she smiled you would too. You breathe a shaky breath before you clear your throat and pull away slightly, much to your girlfriend’s dismay. Evident by the complainant whines.
Unable to hide the smile on your face, you lift your hand, brushing the stray hairs from her face. The charming smile on her face only makes your heart soar even higher than it already had. “You are the most amazing and perfect person I’ve ever come to know, and I’m so glad you chose me out of everyone who came your way.” You gush making the older woman smile even brighter.
Before you can lean in or do much of anything, something shoots up from a distance, illuminating the sky with a series of brightly colored lights. You both gasp and your quick to cover her ears from the sound. You look back down at her, the serenity of the moment shattered, but the childlike glee on her face makes you forget anything else.
“Look at that, N/n!” She says with an unbridled sense of joy. You feel a sense of hope, maybe you could salvage this. But once again, the mood is ruined as she squeals in shock and fear from another firework shooting up in the sky. You smile and shake your head, covering her ears further and pulling her closer. “I’ve got you, Joohyun.”
It wasn’t long until you both made your way back to the hotel, Irene needing some rest after the long day of walking around and spending time together. While you went into the bathroom to take a shower, Irene excitedly told her members about your day spent together as a couple.
“Then there were literal fireworks! It was magical and Y/n…” She sighs dreamily, “Y/n was absolutely amazing. Gosh I’ve never felt this way before…” Yeri giggles and takes the phone from where it was propped up in the kitchen. “Oooohh, somebody’s in loooove!” She teases in a childish manner. Irene blushes and rolls her eyes before the phone is snatched from the youngest member.
“Wait. Did you two kiss?” Seulgi asks with a teasing smile. But Irene’s expression quickly shifts into one of confusion. “…No…? Did she want to kiss me?”
There’s a silence before a loud whine comes from the phone, most definitely from Wendy. Snatching the phone from Seulgi, the vocalist was now the focus of the camera. “How could you have not wanted to kiss her?!” She pauses to laugh ridiculously. “The ocean, what she said, the serendipitous fireworks?! It was straight out of a movie, unnie!”
The realization of the romance of the moment suddenly dawns on Irene and she feels the need to smack herself in the head. “Shit.” Irene mumbles, amusing her members on the phone.
“You really are clueless, aren’t you unnie?”
Kang Seulgi
Tumblr media
Seulgi liked you, a lot. But more than that, she liked getting involved with your life, friends and family, and most of all, your work. Popping into your bakeshop so much that patrons thought she was the manager, thankfully they weren’t aware of her identity or fame.
Her days off were spent there, tirelessly watching you in amazement and adoration. Today was no different. You began frosting the tops of your order’s cupcakes when you realize your girlfriend’s subtle gaze. You giggle to yourself before shooting her a playful glare. “Stare at me any longer and I’ll have to ask you to pay a fine.”
Seulgi merely smiles and props her cheeks up on her own hands as she continues to stare at you lovingly. “I’d happily pay millions to see that smile every day.” You roll your eyes before placing the piping bag down and motioned for her to come close. She stands upright and places a hand on her chest, feigning confusion to which you laugh and beckon her to hurry.
"If you're going to be here as often as you are, you can at least help." You complain jokingly. She looks at you nervously before tentatively picking up the bag filled with icing. You watch, holding back laughter, as she sloppily iced the top of your cupcakes. Feeling a twinge of guilt when you hear Seulgi wince when she squeezed the bag too hard.
Quickly and carefully, you take her hands in yours, guiding her movements in a fluid motion. Your lips press gently against the shell of her ear, innocently whispering, "Take it slow, there's no need to rush it."
Your girlfriend blushes and silently follows your movements until there's a clean swirl atop the pastry, confidence from moments ago melted away. She turns to face you and is flustered to see you as close as you were.
Only a mere breathe away.
Seulgi looks down at your lips, the light sheen from your lipgloss and the scent of cherry made her head spin. Her eyes look for yours, which are glued to the cupcakes bellow the both of you. The warmth of your radiant smile and general body heat made the dancer even more flustered.
Realizing she hadn't spoken since you stepped in to help, you refocus your attention to Seulgi. Your smile brightens as you watch her gazing at you, so flustered and so cute. You lean in to brush your nose against hers.
"There you go again with the staring, Seul." Your girlfriend smiles as she inches closer, until your noses are pressed against one another. Her eyes find yours as yours watch her lips.
Before your lips can really connect, the bell of the bakeshop rings out, your client's voice pulls you both out of the moment, "Y/n? Are the cupcakes ready?"
Your eyes widen before panic runs through your veins. You pull away from the dancer to prepare the boxes. "They'll be out in a few! I'm sorry for the wait."
Once again, Seulgi watches as you dash around the kitchen with admiration oozing from her eyes. She continues to ice the cupcakes beside her carefully. Her mind lost in imagining what your real first kiss will be like.
(you and me both seul)
Son Seungwan / Wendy
Tumblr media
"You've been hauled up in here for days..." Wendy mused as she leaned against the doorframe of your office. Your head shot up and your glasses fell down the bridge of your nose. A low laugh falls from the singer's lips as she approaches you. "Were you really not going to pay me a visit?"
You chuckle, staring hopelessly at your laptop. The draft of your unedited chapter staring at you, taunting you for it being left uncompleted for as long as it has. Your attention is pulled from the semi-blank page when Wendy plucks your eyeglasses from your face.
The singer pouts before propping her head on her hand, staring up at you with soft puppy dog eyes. "Can't you take a break? Even for a few minutes?"
You chuckle softly before taking her free hand in yours, "Editors want these chapters by the end of the week." Squeezing her hand in yours apologetically, you look down back at your screen. Much to Wendy's dismay.
Half an hour flies by, inspiration slipping away from you, but Wendy only sat there, either on her phone or roaming around your office. Patiently waiting for your attention like a pup. You look at the time on your screen, a flourish of guilt building in the pit of your stomach. You wanted to give her as much attention as she needed.
You breathe a soft sigh, before pushing yourself out of your desk, catching your girlfriend's attention. Her eyes brighten as you smile up at her, "I could use a break. After all who better to spend my day with than my muse." You stand and walk over to Wendy, who can barely contain her joy of being called your muse.
You place a soft kiss on her temple before wrapping your arm around her, pulling her into you. She smiles up at you and begins to ramble on about the things she wants to do with you, your mind wrapped around the look of her lips as she does.
Realizing that you were zoning out, she places a hand on your cheek, thumb brushing your cheekbone gently as she stared up at you with adoration and love in her eyes. Your heart felt like it would combust in your chest.
"You alright?" The singer asks, her English accent sending another wave of bliss over your body. You're unable to say anything or hide the smile that creeps up on your lips. You place your hand on hers, leaning into her touch.
Then a stroke of genius hits you.
Your eyes burst open and you abruptly pull away, and laugh madly to yourself. "That's it! That's what I've been trying to find." You plop yourself back into your desk chair and begin typing madly, the blank page filling almost instantly. You smile up at her proudly, seeing only a look of confusion on her face.
You smile even brighter, "Go get ready, baby. We're going out tonight, and we'll do everything you want and more." She approaches with a warm expression, one that only overflows your heart at this point. "I just need to send this over to my editor..." You pause, reaching over the desk, caressing her cheek lovingly.
"I really would be lost without my muse." Wendy merely blushes and turns a heel before skipping happily over to your closet in hopes to find some clothes she'd left at your house while you excitedly type an email to your editors.
All the while, you can't stop thinking about Wendy and just how much you were going to kiss her later that night.
Park Sooyoung / Joy
Tumblr media
Three months more of absolute torture and Joy still couldn't fine it in her heart to break-up with her boyfriend. Each time she tried she was met with immense guilt or something got in the way before she could end it with him.
None of that irritation could really make up for you though.
You were somehow more and more insufferable every time Joy saw you. A cocky smirk, a passing snide comment, and on the rare occasion, flirtatious actions that made the singer question her own morals. You were an absolute pain in the ass, but she couldn't get enough of you.
"Are you actually going to do it this time or are you going to chicken out like you did last week?" Irene chastised over the phone as Joy pushed her way into her soon-to-be ex-boyfriend's apartment. She scoffs at her leader's sarcasm, "After last nights 'date' I don't think I can stand another minute dating him, unnie. It has to end today."
The conversation doesn't last for too long after that given Joy needed to ride the elevator up. Her mind raced at what she was going to say to him, what he would feel. Another pang of guilt rings in her chest as the rickety steel doors open for her. Walking in, she presses the floor number and leans back on the metal frame before pulling out her phone again to feed her boredom.
As the doors begin to close a hand thrusts itself through the metal, making Joy squeal in terror. Only for the doors to slide open to reveal you, grinning proudly at the chaos you'd ensued. "Hey there, pretty girl." You pause, taking an almost playful step into the elevator with her, "I like you screaming like that, you should do it more often in front of me." You tease, the shit-eating smile still very present on your face.
It pissed Joy off to no end. She had no idea why though.
She crossed her arms and forces herself not to look at you. From the corner of her eye though she sees you looking at her shamelessly, grin still prominent on your face. Joy looks over at you, eyes dripping with frustration. "Are you just going to stare at me the entire time?"
You laugh and push yourself from the metal railing of the elevator, "I could do much more if that's what you're asking me, Joy." You tease, her name slipping from your lips in the most irritatingly attractive way she could imagine.
"Please, like you could." The singer snaps, only goating you on. You laugh heartily before leaning uncomfortably close to her. She remembers how you did something similar the night you first met her and her heart rushes as the smell of your earthy perfume reaches her nose. Your smile falls, a sense of seriousness looming over your expression.
The foreign expression on your face makes her nervous. You press your lips firmly together. She watches as your eyes fall from hers to look down at her lips. "I've told you before, Joy." You pause, your voice firm, "Don't test me. I might not be able to control myself."
You inch closer, testing the waters. Joy was conflicted, you were so annoying to her but she couldn't help but wonder how your lips would feel against hers.
A sort of magnitism she figures.
"You're trouble." Joy whispers before a small smile etches on her lips. You mirror her expression, leaning in closer. "So I've been told."
You hesitate as her breathe hitches. Your eyes find hers, desperately looking for an answer to the questions you had from the moment you first laid eyes on her.
Slowly, but with conviction, she nods, giving you the go ahead. Before your lips can meet though, the elevator dings pleasantly as the doors slide open. Your brother standing on the other end of the steel frame, eyes down on his phone as Joy squeaks and you jump away quickly.
Your brother looks up and smiles, "Joy! Y/n! You two just get here?"
Joy sputters as you simply stare at him, ashamed of yourself. Guilt reeks from you as you laugh awkwardly. "Yeah, I saw Joy a couple blocks down and decided to drive her here. Make sure she's safe." You rush out before stepping out of the suddenly hot metal box.
Your brother quirks a curious brow before you usher him to his unit, "Give me a second, I left something in the car, I'll be right back, oppa."
Not thinking much of it, he shrugs and walks to his unit, leaving you and Joy alone again. You breathe a sigh of relief as Joy laughs nervously. "I guess that was a close call, huh?"
You don't speak. Only brushing past her gently. You hold the elevator doors open as Joy turns to speak flustered. "I uh...look I didn't mean for things to get too far and I hope you don't think badly of me-"
You cut her off, all brightness in your voice instantly evaporated. "It was just as much my fault. Don't worry about it." You pause before looking her sternly in the eye. "If you don't want to be with my brother. I suggest you make that obvious to him."
"I-"
"And until you've figured that out...I think it's best I don't show my face." Joy hesitates at your words but she hears a slight tremble in your voice. "I would have never done this to my brother but you...you have some sort of pull on me, Joy. And I can't stop myself around you."
In attempts to lighten the mood, Joy whispers, "Bad girl has a heart?"
You laugh bitterly before reaching out to caress Joy's face, bringing her an odd sense of comfort. One she'd never felt with her boyfriend. You bite your lower lip and look down, "Go back to your boyfriend, Joy." Pulling your hand back, and locking eyes with her as the doors shut.
"Bye Joy."
The door closes and Joy takes a moment to recollect herself as she finds herself in front of her boyfriend...your brother. He looks over his shoulder with a warm and kind smile. Upon seeing her confused face, he approaches her and places his hand on her cheek.
It was cold and foreign to her. Her mind races, wondering why she ever got together with him in the first place when you were there, just waiting for her. You could be everything she'd ever needed.
"Are you alright, sweetie?" His voice breaks her focus, and she sees his warm smile...the innocence in his eyes. She smiles up and shakes her head. "Just a little tired."
All the while you sit in your car for a couple minutes, hoping she'd walk out of the elevator and come looking for you. You close your eyes and breathe out your disappointment.
"That's karma for you, N/n..." You whisper to yourself as you start your car and drive off.
Kim Yerim / Yeri
Tumblr media
You felt her eyes on you the entire evening, at first it was rather flattering. But then as the night wore on, you began being worried and a little insecure about yourself.
Finally having enough of it, you look over to your girlfriend with a exasperated expression. Yeri's taken aback and begins to flush as you look at her. You chuckle at her expression before reaching for the TV remote, pausing the movie on screen.
Adjusting yourself to face her better, you lean on your shoulder as you smile at her sheepishly. "Everything alright on that side of the world?" You ask jokingly, making her giggle and shuffle towards you.
You can tell she's thinking hard and it's bugging her. "Hey..." You pause, placing your hand on hers, weaving your fingers into hers, squeezing and offering her a bit of comfort. "What's wrong?"
Yeri hesitates, jolting forward but pulling back. Her member's words reverberating in her head.
Earlier in the week, her members and her were enjoying a break from their rehearsals. While they drank water and picked up some light snacks, the youngest member immediately pulled her phone out and giggled to herself. Her member's stare at her curiously before she waves them off, "Y/n just sent me a funny picture of her when she was younger."
Wendy and Irene share a look as Joy and Seulgi giggle to themselves, playfully kissing the air to tease the young woman. She simply rolls her eyes and continues to type away at her phone and smiles so brightly. It makes her groupmate's hearts melt.
"So just how serious are you and Y/n?" Irene asks, motherly instincts kicking in. Yeri flushes a deep red before putting her phone away, playing with the case. "I don't know exactly...I like her though." Unable to repress her smile, she shyly turns on her own axis, "I really like her."
Before any of them could tease her though, she began, "But..." The girls watch her intently. Wordlessly, she lifts her hand up to her lips. A chorus of gasps pull from the girls's lips before a barrage of questions flow between the five women.
Suddenly feeling the pressure to show you her affection, Yeri decides to text you asking if you want to sleep over soon.
Back in the moment, she hesitates and practically rocks back and forth. You watch her eyes, gazing down at your lips. You smile and raise her hand to your mouth, placing a delicate kiss over her soft knuckles. One on each finger before you stare up at her with a warm smile.
"There's no rush Yerim...It can wait." You pull her closer, wrapping your arms around her shoulders, leaving feather light kisses over her shoulder, the corner of her jaw, "I can wait, alright? I like you a lot, and I want our firsts to be special...not out of compliance."
Yeri pulls away and smiles at you, shifting to leave a lingering kiss on your ever redenning cheek. "You're a gem, N/n..."
The smile on your face brightens before she curls up into your lap, grabbing the remote from you to play the movie from the beginning. In spite of your complaints, you settle down quickly and pull her impossibly closer, savoring the feeling of the young woman in your arms.
why did joy's come out the longest ? HAHAHAHA i hope you all enjoyed!! i love you all and see you all vv soon!! byeeee 💖 oh and if there are any filo fans here who are going to the itzy or mamamoo or blackpink concerts in the Philippines, let me know and we can meet up maybe. - r

Red Velvet Imagine: The Moment They Realize They’re In Love With You
Tumblr media
Irene: The first time you hold her hand
It was going to be her first time meeting your friend group, and she was pretty much having an internal anxiety attack. Irene had never been great at first impressions, she was surprised she even managed to get you as a partner after your first meeting when she had spilled her drink all over you at a party. She wanted so badly for your friends to like her, and she was just so scared of blowing it.
She kept it all inside around you, not wanting to spoil your fun with her anxiety. She fiddled with the hem of her skirt and bit her ruby red lip, looking over at you from the passenger seat. You looked so excited and relaxed, she couldn’t possibly ruin this for you.
But somehow, you knew exactly what she was thinking. As you pulled into the parking lot, she was about to exit your car when you reached over and took her hand in yours. As you smiled at her warmly, she realized this was the first time you had done this particular gesture. Normally, you would share a hug or a peck on the cheek. Holding hands wasn’t something you two usually did, and it made this moment special for her. It was exactly what she needed in a moment of weakness.
“Hey, everything’s gonna be okay Rene. My friends aren’t the kind of people to judge you based on a first meeting. And even if they did, I’m sure they’d see nothing but the beautiful, kind, fun woman that I see.” you told her, rubbing your thumb along the back of her hand.
She gave you a small nod and smiled brightly, squeezing your hand a bit. “You’re the best. I love you.”
You couldn’t help but break out in an ear to ear grin at her confession. “I love you too. I guess our relationship just got serious huh?”
She giggled, then let go of your hand. “Come on, let’s go have some fun my love.”
Tumblr media
Seulgi: When you play with her hair until she falls asleep
She had been ridiculously overworked lately. Red Velvet had just released their new album and she was already preparing for another comeback with GOT the beat. She barely had enough time to take care of herself, let alone sleep a decent amount.
You hated watching her struggle and wanted to tell her to slow down, but it was hard when she was doing something she loved so much. You didn’t want to stand between her and her passion for performing, but it wasn’t easy watching her run herself ragged. Plus, you didn’t get to spend much time together.
Like tonight, she came home even later than usual, still wearing her dance practice clothes and completely exhausted. She threw her duffel bag down with a heavy sigh, then threw herself down on the couch next to you. Her head went straight into your lap, making you chuckle.
“Rough practice, bear?” you asked, turning your attention towards her.
“Of course.” she grumbled, nestling into the plush of your thighs. “Three hours in the studio followed by three hours of dance practice, then doing it all over again for my other group? It’s a little rough.”
“Awh, I’m sorry babe.” Your hand instinctively went to her head, making her freeze. You started running your fingers through her hair and lightly rubbing her scalp. She didn’t know how, but it was making her feel the most relaxed she had felt all week.
“Mm, that feels so good honey.” she whimpered, relaxing every muscle in her body until she was completely limp in your lap.
“My poor baby…” you began, petting the back of her head. “You must be exhausted if something this simple is making you relaxed. I wish you wouldn’t push yourself so hard.”
“I suppose I could ask for a break…” she groaned, half asleep. No one else in the world would ever have been able to get through to her like you did. If anyone else asked her to take a break, she would have laughed in their face. But with the way you were playing with her hair, she was starting to see the appeal of spending less time at work and more time with her partner. Soon, she was seconds away from passing out on top of you. “I love you so much Y/N.”
You were taken aback at her confession, not knowing how to respond at first. You kind of just panicked and looked around the room frantically for a while, then stammered out a response. “Do you really mean that Seulgi?”
There was no response, and you were scared you had offended her somehow.
“Bear, I said are you sure?” you asked, rolling her towards you. It was then that you noticed, she was fast asleep in your lap. You smiled to yourself, then patted her head. “I love you too babe. Enjoy your rest, you deserve it.”
Tumblr media
Wendy: The way you look at her when she gets all dressed up
You had both been invited to one of your closest friends’ weddings, and were very excited for the chance to dress all fancy and party. Right now, you were waiting in the living room for your girlfriend to finish getting ready, just scrolling through Instagram on your phone.
“Honey, do you know where my clutch is?” you heard her ask as she entered the room.
“Yeah it’s on the-“ you stopped mid-sentence as you looked up at her. She was absolutely stunning in her tight fitting black dress, her long, fit legs adorned with tights that led the eye down to her sexy red bottom heals.
“What’s wrong?” she chuckled, tucking a piece of her bob behind her ear hesitantly.
“Nothing, it’s just…” you got up and started walking towards her. “You look absolutely gorgeous, honey. Makes me speechless.”
She could drown in the look in your eyes right now. There was so much admiration in your expression, from your big, sparkly eyes to your bright, toothy grin. No one had ever looked at her like that, like truly looked at her. It was like you were taking in every little detail of her and loving it all unconditionally. It wouldn’t have met so much if it was from anyone else, because she… she loved you.
She didn’t feel comfortable telling you until after the wedding. You were both sitting under a pergola under the starry sky at the reception, drinking wine and talking.
“Y/N, I need to tell you that I’m in love with you. It’s okay if you don’t want to say it back, but I thought you should know. After all, no one looks at me the way you do.”
Tumblr media
Joy: When you protect her from a stranger
You were having a date in the city, just walking around from shop to shop, when all of a sudden you got a call from work. Apparently your coworkers needed help with an issue that only you knew how to solve, and they wanted you to pop in for a bit while you were in the city. Joy was perfectly fine with it, after all it would only take a few minutes.
You gave her hand a quick squeeze before disappearing into your workplace, leaving her to wait outside. After she had been standing there for a few minutes, a man approached her and began hitting on her. When she refused, he started to get violent and try to drag her away.
“Hey, get the hell away from her you asshole!” you practically roared, sprinting out from the doorway towards them. You immediately ripped him away from Joy and stood protectively in front of her, still gripping onto the man’s arm tightly. You looked him dead in the eye as he struggled in your grasp. “If you ever touch my girl or any other woman like this again, I’ll rip your damn arm off, you hear me? Now get the hell out before I call the authorities.”
The man ran off like the coward he was, and you immediately turned around and hugged your girlfriend with a sigh. “Thank god I came out soon enough, are you okay? He didn’t hurt you did he?” you asked, putting your hands on her cheeks and examining her face.
Instead of looking scared, she looked very calm, and was looking up at you with the widest for eyes. “You just protected me from that guy. You must really love me.” she said dumbfounded.
You widened your eyes before chuckling nervously, dropping your hands back down to your hips. “Yeah, I do. I love you Joy, that’s why I can’t let anything happen to you.”
“Well I love you too Y/N. I just can’t believe it took some random creep harassing me for me to realize it.” You both erupted into laughter, letting your foreheads fall against each other. You shared a chaste kiss, then looked into each other’s eyes lovingly for a moment.
“Come on, let’s continue our date.” you told her, gesturing towards the sidewalk. “No more interruptions, I promise.”
Tumblr media
Yeri: When you share everything with each other
The two of you always joked that if a stranger walked into your shared bedroom, they wouldn’t be able to tell who’s side was who’s. There was a mutual understanding that what’s yours is Yeri’s and what’s Yeri’s is yours. Your dressers were a perfect blend of each other’s clothes, and the vanity was covered in shared beauty products and perfumes. You guys shared everything. Makeup, hair ties, sunglasses, shampoo, shoes, books, food… it was all mutually owned, and you wouldn’t have it any other way.
One particular night, Yeri was sat on the bed helping you get ready for a night out with your friends.
“Y/N babe, if you pair those embroidered jeans of yours with my leather jacket, that outfit will really stand out.” she observed, smiling at you through the reflection of your mirror.
“Oh that would be so cute!” you squealed, getting changed. “I bet your yellow shoes would look perfect with this. And where did you put my black handbag?”
“Let me get it for you, I took it out a few nights ago and left it in the kitchen.” you explained, getting up and leaving the room. She quickly found the handbag on the counter and made her way back to your room. However, the sight of you caught her off guard, making her freeze in the doorway.
“What do you think?” you asked, holding out your arms to show off the completed outfit.
She shook her head in disbelief at how wonderful you looked. “I think you need to stay home because everyone’s going to be checking you out in that.” she giggled, holding your bag out to you. “You look hot as hell in a combination our stuff. It’s like… we belong to each other you know. I love that. And I love you.”
You scrunched your your nose in a smile, putting your hands over your face. “Kim Yerim, did you just confess your love to me?” you squeaked.
“I did.” she told you, wrapping her arms up around your shoulders. “Do you love me back?”
“Of course I do.” you giggled, feeling happy tears prickle your eyes. “You know, maybe I don’t need to go out tonight. I’d much rather be with the woman I love.”

Red Velvet Reactions to:
6th member releasing a solo and supporting them wholeheartedly
Fidgeting around with your phone in your own breakroom, you took a breath before looking up at the mirror to check at your attire and makeup again. Normally, you would have your members by your side reassuring you that you looked great but this time, it was different. You were about to head out into the first interview of promotions for your solo, and for the world to have their first listen at the song you’ve put your whole heart into.
-
Tumblr media
Joohyun/Irene
Did someone call for a coffee and snack truck? That's what will greet you when you step out of the studio. You'll find all your favorite snacks on the menu and a banner with a group photo to congratulate you on your successful solo release and well wishes for you to top the charts. Your leader would want for you to remember to still take proper care of yourself during the hustle when she can't be around when you're on your solo schedules to promote.
When you finally get back to the dorm? You'll be greeted with her proud smile and even as the rest of the members would rush forward to congratulate you, I'm sure you'll still pay attention to the table of your favorite dishes that she made just to celebrate your success.
Tumblr media
Seulgi
Seulgi.zip is her precious baby and you were now a part of it. She wouldn't take no for an answer and would pout and pester the managers until they allowed for you to do at least a day of promotions on her show so she can mark it down the special occasion in history. Be it your first solo or anything coming next, she had told you that she has you booked and it is a must to go to her so she can have something planned for your next appearance.
There will be moments when both of you are just staring at one another before struggling to keep your laughter in, but end up bursting out in infectious laughter that spreads across the small studio. Seulgi wants you to know that she is your safe space, as do the studio directors and staff who learned to love you as much as she does.
Tumblr media
Seungwan/Wendy
You could only grin widely at her from across the table as she mirrored your expressions before laughing and sorting out her cue cards and notes in front of her. Did you honestly think you won't be featured in her radio show just so she can proudly boast and compliment you to the rest of the nation? At every possibly opportunity, she will be playing your song and slipping in references from your song into her topics and it adores you to hear how excited her voice and mannerisms get when promoting for you.
Promotion season over? Think that will stop DJ WanD from playing the song on the radio? Think again. She's proud to say that her member wrote and sung the song with all her heart and the whole world will hear it.
Tumblr media
Sooyoung/Joy
Stepping back into the dressing room, you'll find yourself surrounded by your favorite flowers and a tall hamper of goodies sitting on the table. If you paid closer attention, you'd find that they're all snacks and even alcohol that both you and Joy enjoy having together when you have your occasional hangouts where you'll talk and drink through the night.
Sitting near the hamper, you'll find a card with just a simple "Call me" written with a lipstick mark next to it. When you finally do give the video call, she would whine about how long you took, before bombarding you with questions if you've received her gifts and if you liked them.
Tumblr media
Yerim/Yeri
It’s best that you don’t question how, but her shout of “Surprise!” definitely gave you a shock when you opened the door back to your dressing room. You were pretty sure that everyone else in the group had their schedules filled for the week of your solo promotions so to see another member throwing confetti in your face when you stepped through your door lit up your mood.
You can’t help but grin widely as she mirrored your expression before you were engulfed in a tight hug. What better way can Yeri show you that she is proud of you by being right there for you? Of course, she would find ways to clear her own schedule for your very first solo debut. Nothing should stand in her way of that.

Dont cum
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Short drabble ;) “dont cum”
Alpha sub wendy x alpha dom reader
Tumblr media
“Your cumming already?” You laugh completely ignoring her whines and protests as you squeeze the base of her cock, your other hand rubbing the tip of her cock. Successfully ruining her orgasm and torturing her already sensitive member.
Pulling away you smile mockingly at her the look along causing her to swallow nervously, eyes widening when she hears the metal jingle of the cock cage.
“No! Alpha please!”
But its to late your pinning her down again, pushing her tiny cock into the cage and securing it. Making sure to lock it before giving it a warning tug, silently telling her to behave.
“You better be a good girl and not cum, or ill leave u locked up until youve learnt your lesson”
Yelping she cant help the needy whimpers escaping her lips when you flip her over, cock hitting the mattress as you land a harsh slap to her bare ass.
Reaching into ur boxers you free your rock hard length, pumping it a few times with a low moan that has her ass clenching in anticipation. Teasing her puckered hole with the tip you give no warning before slamming into her, hips taking off at a rough pace.
“F-fuck!” She moans when you reach around to grab her throat, spanking her with ur other hand. Her arms loose support as she falls flat on the bed, cock aching from sensitivity she cums. Breath hitching when she feels u stop and ur grip tighten.

Can we mayhaps get Red Velvet as normal members of society?
Irene: Followed the high school bully to nurse pipeline after graduation.
Seulgi: The effortlessly cool girl you see sitting in the food court at the mall. You’re in love with her, but you can’t say anything--imposter syndrome got you good and you’re sure she would just laugh at you. One day you finally summon up the courage to walk over and strike up a conversation but as you get close to her she spooks and spills an entire tray of Taco Bell onto her lap. You never end up speaking and she never returns to that section of the mall again.
Wendy: Plays piano for the church congregation and dreams of stardom but instead settles for marrying the worlds most boring man and having three kids. Never quite gets what people mean about the terms ‘privilege’ and ‘cultural insensitivity’ but she makes a great buffalo chicken dip for pot lucks.
Joy: That girl in high school that you’re sure is too pretty for her own good. And you’re right. She ends up in jail for extortion.
Yeri: Does a year abroad in England between high school and university and has adopted a slight accent that is entirely unplaceable as a result of it. Swears she was scouted for a modelling agency in Paris during the weekend trip she took there but it was just some guy named Pierre yelling at her from his bicycle cause she was standing directly in his way taking selfies.

Wendy (Red Velvet)
Tumblr media
Wc - 11,200
song
"Eye Catching"
You were on your way to the venue where you were to host for a very popular groups comeback special. It was a two day special and today was the first day you would be meeting the group, you were nervous but you've hosted probably more than hundreds of specials and shows in general. But something about meeting Red Velvet had made you nervous, very nervous. You weren't even this nervous when it came to meeting EXID. You were even more nervous than when it came to meeting Taeyeon. Red Velvet just had something about them that made you nervous.
_
As a young kid you moved to Korea as a big decision of your dad's job. To be fairly honest, you were grateful for the opportunity given to you because of this tough decision. Soon feeling right at home whenever you got to spend time with your neighbors, who to you were more like grandparents. You honestly couldn't think of anywhere else as home as long as they were around for you. It was a great experience that you were grateful for. It wasn't until High School though when you learned what your biggest passion would be. You had joined your school's broadcasting club, this right here was your calling. You didn't know if it was the feeling you got everytime you were out and about interviewing people, or being able to spread information over the masses that made you feel like you finally found your calling. Throughout High School you would sign up for any hosting gigs to try and get some experience for later on down your, hopefully, future career.
Then came college. Here it got crazy with the amount of chances there was to host something. Literally anything you could think of. From hosting games to assembly's, the possibilities were endless. But that was just a small bite into what you were craving. You wanted to be able to host huge events, interview people, and just interact with a whole different side of an industry that you hadn't experienced yet.
Then one lucky day came. Your college was having a festival where some rookie idol groups were to be performing. It was 2015 and you remembered all the flyers posted around campus. "Lovelyz, Mamamoo, Red Velvet and More to perform! Get ready!!" The club you were apart of was in charge of helping put the festival together. You didn't want this festival to be like every typical college festival you wanted things to be vastly different than the usual festivals you were sure these idols had been too. You wanted to add some mini games for them on stage so they would interact with their fans and they could, hopefully, relieve some stress.
The festival was going to run all day until late at night and you were the one in charge of MCing for the entire day. Everyone in your club had voted for you, specifically, to be in charge. You were nervous since the language was still a little challenging at times but at the same time you were excited. This was just the right thing you were looking for and you couldn't have been more grateful to everyone in your club.
Unfortunately not everything was going to be smooth sailing.. Terrible news arrived that Red velvet, one of the nights main acts, weren't going to be able to attend.
"What are we going to do? the posters have already been everywhere and today is literally the only day we have left. We can't find anyone to perform on such a short notice?" Your clubs leader, Hayoon, yelled as she paced back and forth.
"What other groups are performing?" One of the members had asked, you were too busy thinking to look at who asked.
"Lovelyz, Mamamoo, Got7, Oh My Girl, Day6, Sonamoo, ClC and we have Suran and Heize coming. But now we have an Hour gap of when Red Velvet was supposed to perform. What are we going to do!?" Hayoon was looking through the stacks of paper with the information and contracts of the festival.
Finally after thinking as hard as you could, you spoke up with an idea that would hopefully save the festival.
"Hey what if we add an event where we draw some members of the crowd and the groups to have like a little dance contest kind of thing for a prize. Like we pair a member of each group up with a member of the crowd to perform a short dance for a prize. I'm sure we can make that take over the spot for red velvet, and plus it'll make some memories for some lucky fans." You said with a small smile as you tried demonstrating what you were thinking with your hands, which was a bad habit you had.
Hayoon looked at you while she was trying to work everything out in her head, "You know what, I actually don't hate that idea. But what kind of prize should we give out?"
"A signed album from each group?" You said with some uncertainty. "Oh! And I Know someone who makes custom clothes, we could get a first though third place prize of a jacket with our schools name and logo on it. We can have the name of the festival on the back with the place they won for both the singer and the crowd member."
"Alright I'm sure that will do. Are you sure the jackets will be done in time..?" Hayoon smiled after you gave her a confident nod, "And this is why you're hosting this event, thank you."
"It's no problem, I'll go out tonight and try finding an album of each of the groups. I can call my friend as soon as this meeting is over. I'm certain everything will be done before the competition starts. We'll meet up tomorrow morning when everything should hopefully be set up." You told her with a small smile.
And so the event turned out fine. It was actually better than fine. The event did amazingly well, so well in fact that more and more people had shown up in the middle and towards the end of the festival. Even people who didn't attend your University showed up. It was a crazy experience you were glad to be a part of and an experience you were always going to treasure.
The dance competition did even better than anyone could have ever expected. The winners ended up being Moonbyul from Mamamoo and a girl from the crowd, rightfully so as they went out and put on a show. The competition had almost everyone in the crowd cracking up in laughter, the Got7 boys working their charm on the crowd as they constantly tried to win everyone over in favor of Jackson and the young man he was paired up with. Bam Bam going as far as to yell out that he would marry everyone that voted for Jackson.
This festival was not only a big part in your future career but also a huge part in these idols careers.
People not only instantly fell in love with all the groups and idols that participated in the competition, but they were all amazed at the way you handled things. Immediately after your name was heard all throughout campus and all over the internet. People wanted more of you and your magic way of words that hooked people on to whatever you said.
A few days had passed since the event took place and you were contacted by a company that had offered you a contract to sign with them and in return they would have someone in charge of organizing all of your gigs and to give you a bigger spot light.
You were pretty overwhelmed to say the least since you were sure there were other people out there who were better than you and that were actually born here, not just some random foreigner who managed to do one good thing. You just went ahead and signed to them because c'mon you could do with some extra cash and guidance, not exactly sure of the opportunities this decision soon opened up for you. It was actually insane how quickly everything after that changed. Back to back you had gigs lined up for literally anything. After a few videos and articles of the festival were posted you were a pretty hot topic when it came to MCing for events, big and small. This was something you really never thought was possible, but there you were some random young University student with a bad habit of demonstrating everything with their hands in the same league as people who you thought were way more professional. People who had been working in this field for longer than you had discovered this passion.
Your first really big huge event after the festival was a launch for a highly anticipated computer game. Now you thought since it was just a launch for an online game it would be quick and easy. but oh boy were you wrong. This launch we being streamed everywhere by gamers who had anticipated this very moment for over a few years, this game was one of the most anticipated at the time. To be quite honest you weren't as nervous as you thought you would have been.
And slowly after that you ended up building such a wonderful reputation that you often were on national television. It was crazy to think how this all started thanks to one festival where you were sure everything was going to crash and burn.
It wasn't until late 2016 that you would step into the entertainment industry once again. A new idol group was set to debut and for their first show case you were asked to be the host. Nerves ran through your entire body worse than ever before, this Girl Group was one of the hottest topics in terms of new groups. When anyone talked about a new group, they were always in the discussion. You had to make sure you did a great job... You didn't do a great job, you did an excellent job at the showcase. The group instantly took over every chart they had their eyes on since that night.
From then on you became a staple in the industry for debut show cases. Many believe it's a curse for a group to fail their comeback if you didn't host their showcase. So to put it simple, you were a busy busy person, But it was something you loved doing to the point it didn't feel like you were busy, just enjoying the moment. Hell you even got to travel overseas for hosting events for some companies you didn't even think knew you existed.
You were also very popular for international fans because of the way you treated their favorite artist and the questions you focused on. You never asked about their "Ideal type" or "love life" instead you always focused on the project at hand. You would ask who helped with what and just try and get some information about the process of everything that was put into whatever they did. And fans really appreciated that since it gave them some insight on just how hard their artist worked instead of the usual cringey interviews they would get, especially on variety shows.
~
So there you were getting driven to the venue for Red Velvets Showcase for what they claimed would be their best comeback ever, which is why SM put so much money into this showcase. Outside of the venue it was insanely packed with fans just hoping to get some kind of glimpse at the five beautiful talented artist they adored. It was adorable how excited some of them were.
You rolled your window down to take a video of then when an idea suddenly popped up in your head for the interview. When some fans saw you recording they all started waving and screaming all of the members names. It was insane but cute at the same time.
After you felt like you captured enough footage you rolled your window back up and watched as you were pulled up into the parking lot.
The event wouldn't start for another couple of hours, which made it even crazier to think that those fans would wait out there until it was time.
You walked inside the building and quickly met up with all the people in charge of the event and told them your idea from earlier. They quickly agreed then you were ushered off to meet the girls for a "sneek peak" interview into the event.
You got fixed up then you were showed into a room off in the back where it was quieter. It was set up nicely with a beautiful backdrop of the night sky.
You sat patiently going over everything while the cameras got set up. You held you smile in your hand as you warmed your voice up. There was a long few hours of talking ahead for you and you wanted your throat to be prepared. You were taking a drink of some nice warm tea when the door opened and the five young women walked in, smiles pasted on all their faces as they greeted all of the staff.
You were instantly stunned by the beauty that instantly took over the room. Their smiles were the first thing you noticed, they were incredible. The energy they emitted in the small room made you feel like this was the first ever interview you took part of.
They each walked up to you and individually introduced themselves before taking the seat they felt the most comfortable with.
You were on the left in a single seat followed by a small space then it was Wendy, Irene and Seulgi on the bottom row. In the top row with the taller seats was Yeri and Joy.
They were talking among themselves as everything got checked before the cameras started to roll.
You looked at all of them, then you looked at Wendy, she was looking right back at you with a big smile. You smiled back then checked the cards in your hands.
After the camera director told you everything was ready, they started recording. After giving him a small nod your work persona instantly took over, starting off with a big smile you started your rehearsed introduction.
"Hello everyone, I'm here with Red Velvet moments before their big showcase, How are you each currently feeling..?"
"Oh um wow, well we feel nervous of course but at the same time we're excited. This is something we've never really done before and it's a concept I hope many of our fans are anticipating." Wendy spoke like a very well rehearsed professional, as she avoided making any form of eye contact with you and just stared at the camera.
"Yes just like Wendy said, we're extremely nervous but at the same time we know we put a lot of hard work into this album so I hope our Reveluvs like it a lot because we wouldn't work this hard on something if we didn't think they would like it." Irene said as she looked into the camera with a smile.
"I mean every song and album you guys have come out with had been amazing, so to you, what makes this one so special?" You asked again looking at Irene for an answer.
"Well during creating process each member got to help with some form of the production of at least two or more songs on the album so I just feel like with all of our personal touches in the songs we hope our fans can see another side of us. And this is also a project we've worked so hard on for almost a year. It's kind of a special gift to our fans." Irene answered again in her almost too perfect, professional voice.
"Okay so you mentioned that each member helped with a form of production, do you think you can tell us what exactly each of you did..?" You motioned to all of them with a smile.
Instead of Irene it was Wendy who answered, "We really wish we could but we kind of want to see if our fans can figure it out"
"Kind of like a treasure hunt!!" Seulgi added in with a smile.
"Well for this "treasure hunt" will there be any kind of prize for a special fan that figures it out?" You asked Seulgi with a smile.
"That's also a secret" Joy chimed in with a smile.
This interview was pretty different. You had always managed to squeeze out information no one else could very easily but these girls had a way of shutting you down.
"Okay well moving on from the musical side of things, since we will talk about that more on depth later on at the showcase, what can we expect from the choreography..?" You asked Seulgi.
Seulgi looked at Irene, almost as if she needed reassurance to make sure that what she was going to say was okay. Irene nodded her head slightly and Seulgi smiled. "Well like the album, each member got to add their own touches to the dance. Kind of in a way to highlight what makes each of us special to the group."
"Well each of you are very special to the group with your own charms so which points did you try and high light in the dance.?" You smiled to yourself knowing this question would at least help satisfy some eager fans who couldn't wait.
"Well with me I would say it's my voice so there's a move I chose to add where i-" Wendy got cut off by Irene putting her hand over her mouth.
"I'm sorry you and the rest of out fans will have to wait for the actual comeback to know." She smiled then looked at Wendy giving her a 'what are you doing' kind of look.
"I'm sorry she distracted me I forgot we weren't supposed to say it." Wendy whispered to Irene quietly, but you managed to hear it.
"Okay well I'm sorry to all the 'Revluvs'" You looked at the girls to make sure you got their fandom's name right, "Out there but its pretty hard to pry information out of them. I guess we will all have to wait until the comeback to see the magic in it's true works." You looked at the girls and smiled, "Is there anything you would like to tell your fans..?"
"Ah yes" Yeri chimed in. You nodded at her to continue, "My dance is totally better than Joys, that's all you need to know!" She smiled and then looked at Joy.
"Hey, it is not! My dance is way cooler than yours!" Joy looked at Yeri.
"Do you want to show us..? I'm sure your fans can decide on that" You smiled as you tried your best to get them to give some kind of preview.
"Sorry we're not Wendy you can't distract us cause we don't have a crush on you!" Yeri said then stuck her tounge out cockily.
Joy lightly smacked the back of Yeris head and Wendy had completely turned red.
"Um" You looked at the camera and smiled. "Well I guess we can wrap this up here, right?" You asked the camera director.
He nodded at you and you sighed.
"Alright well this has been fun, and I'm sorry guys that I couldn't pry information out of them as easily as my other victims" You smiled as you thought about how many comeback details you were able to pry out of other idols, especially Twice they were like an open book. "But that just means I have to come up with a better method, I'll see you guys at the showcase" you looked at red velvet, "And I'll see you there too."
Red velvet said something to the camera each, for their fans, then the interview was over.
"Alright, well thank you ladies for letting me interview you, I'll see you in a couple hours" You stood up and smiled at them.
You walked over to some of the staff and handed them the cards you had, not like you looked at them but still, it was nice to have a reference for questions. You talked to the director about which parts to cut out, especially Yeri's little sentence at the end of the entregues as You were sure she had worded what she ment wrong.
You felt a tap on your shoulder and smiled when you saw Seulgi. "Yes?"
"Wen- I mean, my members wanted me to invite you to our dressing room so we can hang out for a little before the showcase, something about wanting each other to feel more comfortable with one another on stage." Seulgi smiled as she spoke.
"oh um yeah that sounds like a good idea, a little friendly chemistry could hurt" You smiled back at Seulgi, "I just need to go find my manager to talk to him about something but I'll be there soon."
"Okay!" Seulgi giggled then walked out to join the other girls.
_
"Wendy!! She said she'll come!" Seulgi yelled when she walked in the dressing room.
"I've never seen her cheeks get that red!" Yeri teased.
"Hey shut up it's just really hot in here" Wendy rolled her eyes.
"Really..? I'm cold" Irene said as she waddled up to the girls with a blanket wrapped around her.
"Wendy you must really have a big crush on her, you haven't even spoken a word to her off camera but she has you wrapped around her finger." Joy laughed as she twirled a piece of hair on her finger.
"Shut up I don't have a crush on her. Okay..?" Wendy said as she looked down with her arms crossed.
"Sure, it's not like you watch literally every single interview she conducts. You even watched her commercial for some toilet paper brand about a hundred times." Yeri pulled her phone out and looked something up.
"Shut up, I Did Not!" Wendy glared at Yeri meanwhile Yeri smiled as she played the commercial out loud. Wendy knew the commercial word by word but she wouldn't admit it. Especially to Yeri.
"How do you even have a crush on her. You hevent ever talked to her you little chicken shit" Joy laughed at the look on Wendy's face.
"Joy! Language" Irene scowled from her spot on the couch.
"Yes grandma Rene I'll watch my language" Joy laughed again when Irene rolled her eyes.
"I think it's cute!" Seulgi chimed in about Wendy's crush.
"You think anything is cute" Yeri told her.
"Okay true, but c'mon you have to admit that we've never seen Wendy this flustered." Seulgi said as she walked up to Wendy to poke her cheek.
"I'm not flustered I'm jus-"
There was a knock at the door that interrupted wendy mid sentence and caused the entire room to fall silent, "Hello..?" Your voice drifted its way into the room, slightly muffled by the door sperating you and the girls.
Joy pulled Wendy up and pushed her towards the door. "Open it you coward" Joy whispered.
"C-coming" Wendy said as she tried to catch her balance.
Yeri secretly recorded Wendy to have something to tease her about in the future.
Wendy opened the door and smiled shyly at you, "Yes..?" She looked at the box in your hands then back up at your face.
"Oh Hi, Wendy..?" You said raising your eyebrow to make sure you got her name right. You continued speaking when she gave you a small nod, "Um Seulgi asked me to come over here, so.."
"Oh yeah of course" Wendy tried opening the door but it hit her foot at first. "Ouch" She moved out of the way to open it correctly, "Come in"
"Thank you" You smiled then walked in. "Hi" You told the rest of the girls in the room.
"Hi!" They all said back.
"Ooh, What's in the box?" Yeri asked as Wendy quietly walked past you to sit down.
"Oh I brought some chocolates that I made yesterday" You smiled and handed her the box. "I Always make extra so I can bring some for the staff and if there's still some more I usually give them to whoever's fans are still outside at the end of the event. It's a fun hobby of mine, I like making people smile with the idea of food."
Yeri opened the box and Joy gasped, "No way! is this nama chocolate??" She looked at you in surprise.
You smiled and nodded. "Yup I'm kinda going through a Japanese dessert phase right now. My friend just came back from Japan and showed me how to make them"
"Wow awesome" Seulgi said as she walked over to Yeri to look at the chocolate in more detail.
"It looks delicious." Wendy quietly said from her seat.
"Please help yourselves, I have plenty more so don't worry." You smiled at all of them.
"Even the box is so cute. It looks profesional!" Seulgi gushed as she grabbed a chocolate.
You heard your name and looked over at Irene. "Here come sit down" she patted the seat on the couch next to her.
You walked over and sat down in between her and Wendy.
"Oh my god if this isn't the best chocolate I've ever had I don't know what is!" Joy said as she grabbed another piece.
"It's so creamy and delicious. Wow you have some magic hands" Yeri said with a mouthful of chocolate.
"Let me see. Bring me some." Irene said from her spot on the couch.
"Why do I have to get up" Yeri whispered as both Seulgi and Joy nudged her to get up.
"Because you're the youngest and we know grandma's joints aren't the best." Joy whispered back and pushed Yeri.
Yeri brought Irene the box and Irene picked one out. "Mmm this is really good!" Irene said with a hand covering her mouth.
Yeri walked over to Wendy and held the box out to her, wiggling her eyebrows as she glanced between you and Wendy.
After mouthing something to her, Wendy reached out to grab one but Yeri just gave her the whole box. "Here now you have something to fangirl at home about." Yeri said quietly with an innocent smile.
Wendy took the box with red cheeks and she sent Yeri a look that screamed "you're in trouble" .
You looked at Wendy with a big smile, "Try it, let me know what you think."
"Ok" Wendy nodded and she picked out a chocolate, examining it for a small moment as a small smile made its way on her lips. After admiring the gift from you for a few more seconds, she finally plopped it in her mouth "Oh wow" She gasped when she ate it. "It's amazing." She looked at you with wide eyes.
"Thank you" You smiled at her before looking over at the other girls. "I can make some more and send them to you if you would like. We can always arrange a way to get them to you."
"Oh no we don't want to bother you." Irene said as she looked at you.
You shook your head, "It wouldn't be a bother, I like making food for people. It makes me happy"
"Well only if it isn't an inconvenience for you, we will take you up on that offer." Irene agreed with a small nod.
"Yes!" Seulgi yelled from where she was seated, "Free delicious snacks!"
Yeri and Joy exchanged a look before laughing. "Excuse us we need to go get our make up touched up, we will be back in a little bit" Yeri said as she and Joy stood up. Joy sent Wendy a look as they walked to the door.
"We'll see you in a little bit, thanks for the chocolate!" Joy said and Irene just shook her head and looked at Seulgi.
Seulgi got up and walked to the door, lightly nudging Wendy as she walked by behind the couch you were seated on, and excused herself to go get something.
"Oh no did my chocolate give them stomach problems?" You asked Irene.
Irene laughed and shook her head, "No I highly doubt it. Those girls are always up to something."
"Oh okay" You laughed quietly. You looked over at Wendy. "You're not gonna disappear on me too now are you..?" You asked her jokingly.
Wendy shook her head with a small smile. "I don't plan on it."
"Okay good, I was beginning to feel self conscious." You joked with her.
After a small moment of silence in the room Wendy spoke in a soft voice. "I didn't know you were into baking. Well if that's what you call this" She said as she lifted up the box in her hand.
"Oh" You smiled at her, "I didn't know I was either until a few years ago when I made my first cake from scratch."
"Really..? That's so cool" Wendy said. "What flavor was it."
"I was just going to make a chocolate cake but my friend convinced me in to making it a Red Velvet cake." You told her as you pulled your phone out of your pocket to look for the picture you took of it.
There was a quiet snicker from Irene. "Ooh the coincidence" She told herself quietly before getting up. "I have to go do something. I'll be back" She said as she walked out before you or Wendy could say anything.
"I'm into baking too" Wendy said after watching you scroll through your phone in silence as she quietly played with her bracelet.
"Really..?" You looked up at her and smiled, which honestly Wendy was surprised she didn't have a heart attack considering the amount of times you had smiled at her in the past ten minutes. "We should join up one day and bake together." You suggested.
"Oh" Wendy paused and then smiled to herself, "That sounds like fun."
"Ah found it" You said to yourself then you showed Wendy the picture on your phone. "I know it looks bad but trust me it actually didn't taste that bad."
Wendy couldn't hold back the little laugh she had when she saw how smeared and everywhere the frosting was. What she really couldn't keep her eyes off was the way you were smiling as you held the cake to show the camera, flour all over your clothes and frosting somehow managing to end up on your face and hair.
"Are you laughing..?" You asked with a fake gasp.
"I'm" She laughed, "I'm sorry, it's cute. I promise" She smiled at you.
"They've gotten a little better." You said as you pulled a more recent picture up of a three tiered cake you made for a friend's birthday.
"Oh wow that's really nice!" Wendy said as she took your phone in her hands to get a better look.
There was a knock on the door and you heard your name. "Yes?" You called out.
The door opened and your managers head peaked in. "Hey sorry to interrupt, but there's something important we need you for."
"Oh" You nodded your head, "Okay I'll be right there."
"Okay meet us in your room" You manager said before dismissing himself and closing the door.
You stood up and Wendy looked at you. "Heres your phone." She handed you your phone with a slightly disappointed smile.
"Thank you. And as much as I would love to continue to talk to you about dessert, duty calls." You smiled at her as you grabbed your phone.
Wendy stood up and smiled at you. "It's Okay I completely understand. And honestly I should try and go find where the girls went."
You looked around the quiet room and laughed, "Yeah that seems like a good idea. We can continue our conversation at a later time if you would like..?" You asked her.
"Oh yes, yeah totally! I'm always down for talking about baking" She spoke with so much enthusiasm.
"Ah cute" You said to yourself with a small laugh. "It was great talking to you." You held out your hand but shook your head. "Can I give you a hug..?"
"huh, uh" Wendy looked at you.
"Sorry I like giving hugs more than handshakes theyre just better and less awkward in my opinion." You told her.
"Y-yeah that's fine." Wendy smiled.
You gave her a hug, "I'll see you at your showcase."
You walked out to find your manager before you got in trouble for taking too long.
_
One by one the girls all barged into the room after they saw you walk by in the hallway with a smile as you stared at your phone.
The girls all teased Wendy when they saw her standing in the spot you left her with the most love struck look on her face.
"Oh my god what happened?"
"Your Face is so red"
"I think I can hear your heartbeat all the way over here"
"Did you get her number"
"No I didn't get her number, but she offered me to hang out with her to bake together.." Wendy said as she snapped out of her daze.
"Baking together..?" Irene asked her.
"That's like the gayest most adorable thing I've ever heard!!" Yeri yelled as she gave Joy a high five.
"Yes our planned worked.." Joy cheered as she gave Wendy a pat on the back.
"Ooh you had a plan..? I just walked out because I knew Wendy was going to make it awkward." Seulgi said as she grabbed a bag of fruit snacks that were on the table in the middle of the room.
Irene laughed before nodding, "That was a good decision, Wendy did make it awkward. It was adorable but hard to watch." Irene stuck her hand out to Seulgi so she could give her some fruit snacks.
"I'm sorry, I couldn't help but get nervous. Have you seen her..? She's literally perfect." Wendy sat on the couch with a little huff.
"How did you even manage to get a crush on her if you've never even met her before..?" Joy asked as she sat on one of the many chairs in the room.
"Well you see the thing is we have met before, but it was before all this happened. Before she became the huge successful person she is now and before we managed to become who we are right now. It was a long time ago so I doubt she even remembers it, especially with how busy she's been since then." Wendy said as she tapped her fingers on the couch.
"Wait really?? Why did you never tell us this..? And when??" Joy sat up so she could hear whatever wendy was going to say next more clearer.
"Well it was back in 2015 at the end of spring, beginning of summer. I had gone with our manager at the time to go talk to a few universities about performing at their festivals but none of them really caught our attention. Until we went to the school she was from. While we were there talking to her and taking a tour of the school, she explained everything to us with just the biggest and most beautiful smile I'd ever seen. She was constantly asking us if we needed to take a break from walking or if we were thirsty. She was just constantly making sure we were okay." Wendy looked to the side as a small smile had made its way up on her lips while she remembered the past. "So then we had agreed to participate at the festival and she thanked us so much I thought my heart was going to burst."
"Wait but I don't remember performing at any festivals at that time..?" Irene said as she racked her memory for what they did during the specified time period Wendy mentioned.
"Exactly, we never ended up going." Wendy's smile disappeared. "It honestly broke my heart because she was so excited for us to go but then we couldn't anymore. It was hard but I kept telling myself that I'd never see her again so there was no reason to feel guilty." She let out a small laugh, "Oh but how the universe has its way of letting life play out. After the day of her universities festival her face was all over social media. She had become a hot topic all over every platform. It was insane."
"And that's how she's become who she is now.." Yeri mumbled once she finally understood everything.
"Correct." Wendy nodded before taking in a sharp breathe of air, "That damn smile of hers still managed to find it's way into my mind at random times."
"Wow how did we never know this..?" Seulgi asked as she looked at all the other girls in the room.
"I never told anyone because I thought we would never cross paths in life again, I guess I was wrong." Wendy told all of them as she looked down at the ground.
"Wrong doesn't even begin to describe it, she's literally worked with almost all the top girl groups in our industry, did you just think she was gonna just skip right past us..?" Joy told Wendy as she made a not so nice gesture to show her how much of an idiot she was.
"I honestly don't know what I thought, I guess I was kinda just hoping she would skip over us." Wendy admitted before standing up.
"Wow I've never seen you so flustered over just one person before," Irene told her as she gave her a small pat on the shoulder.
"I don't know what's going on with me." Wendy sighed as she shook her head. "I'm gonna go outside for a bit, I need some fresh air."
"Okay, just take your phone, we'll call you when you need to come back." Irene told her as she handed her her phone she left on the couch.
"Alright, thanks." Wendy gave her a small smile as she took her phone. "See you in a little bit." She waved to all the girls before leaving out of the room.
"Wow.." All three of the girls mumbled at the same time.
_
Wendy wandered the hallways of the Venue for a while before finding a door to the outside. Stepping out into the fresh air, she took a deep breathe and smiled. She walked around outside to look for a place to sit down and that's when she saw you out there watching something on your phone. She didn't know wether or not she should go up and say something, but luckily for her the ringing of your phone took all of you attention as she just stood back and watched.
"Hello..? Yeah what do you want this time..? Huh..? Yeah it's Red Velvet this time, what..? No I'm not getting them to sign anything for you, what..? No, aren't you supposed to be studying right now..? Wait what time is it there..? Why are you still awake, our parents didn't send you back to America just for you to goof off instead of studying. Huh..? ugh fine then I'll talk to you for just five more minutes. Who, Irene..? Ah the short one, you want her to sign something for you..? Well do you remember what I told you when you asked for a twice member to sign something, yup my answer is the same. No. Huh..? Which one caught my eye, hmm.. What do you mean there has to be at least one I like, you're such an idiot. I'm working, I'm not here to oogle at pretty women. But I hate to admit that you are right, yeah can you guess which one. Yeah you're right, she has a nice voice. Yes of course she's pretty too. Uh-huh, okay well at least try and get some sleep, don't you have exams next week..? okay well if you don't do well I'm not gonna let you come visit. Okay, alright then you little butthole. Go to sleep, okay, bye."
Wendy just stared in awe, she'd heard you speak English before in almost all of your interviews but to hear you drop the professional tone and just speak naturally was amusing to her. She hated to admit it but she found it oddly attractive.
You went back to watching whatever video you had playing before your younger sibling had called.
"Just do it, don't be a chicken.." Wendy mumbled before getting the courage to walk up to you. She took a few steps closer to you before clearing her throat to get your attention.
You jumped up in shock before looking up and immediately making eye contact with the short haired woman in front of you. "Oh, Wendy, hello.." You smiled at her in an attempt to hide the fact that she startled you.
"Hello.." You said awkwardly as she didn't know what else to say, luckily you took control over the conversation.
"What brings you outside..?" You asked before pausing, you then continued to talk when she continued to only stare. "Ah I know what it is," you gestured to the phone in her hand, "I've been to this venue a bunch of times and the service inside can be pretty spotty at times. Out here is where you get the best service." You lifted your previously abandoned phone in the air to show her.
"Oh, right haha" She mumbled awkwardly.
You moved over on the concrete ledge you were sitting on, it was surrounding a beautiful tree they had outside for decoration, and patted the spot next to you. "You can sit right here, I don't bite."
After giving you a small nod she moved to down next to you. "What are you watching..?"
"Hmm..?" You looked down at your phone then back up at her, "Don't laugh, I'm just watching some baking videos.."
"Oh really..? And why would I laugh, I do that all the time." She answered with a small smile.
"There's this channel called Cooking Tree and I just really love their videos." You turned your phone to the side so she could see what you were watching.
"What are they making..?" She asked as she moved closer to see better.
"They're making a Cream Puff Cake, it looked good on the picture of the thumbnail." You held your phone more in the middle of the both of you, that way you could both get a better view.
The two of you sat there for a while just watching a few more videos and talking about the things you've both made in the past.
"Hmm, you seem to know a lot about baking." You told Wendy as you turned you phone off since it was about time for you to head inside.
"Yeah it's something I really like a lot, it's a lot of work but the end product is always worth it." she answered with a smile.
"Oh yeah trust me, I know all about that." You returned her smile before humming, "Hmm you know what, if you ever want to come over to bake together," You paused before adding, "Or just bake by yourself, let me know."
"Come over to where..?" Her head tilted to the left as she watched you stand up.
"My house, like around two years ago I turned one of the spare bed rooms into my own at home baking studio. It took a lot of work, but I hired some great people so it is amazing. You're free to come by anytime." You watched the way she smiled and continued, "Of course I know it sounds odd for me to be inviting you over to my house to bake even though we just met, but I have a few other people I met at jobs like these that come over to hang out and bake."
"Really..? Like who..?"
"Let's see, there's Eunji from Apink, she's a great person to bake with she constantly will make you laugh, um oh Suyeon from Weki Meki, she likes to send me random recipes that we can try making together, oh and also one of my closest friends, Baekho from Nu'est, do you know him..?" You asked her with a proud smile.
"Nu'est..? Of course I know them, who doesn't." She smiled as she took note of everyone you mentioned.
"Well we met a little over a year ago for a showcase they had and since then he's been coming over so I can show him how to bake. He likes surprising his members with cakes. He may look like a big tough guy on the outside, but on the inside he's just the absolute sweetest guy I've ever met."
"Oh wow I definitely did not know that, he definitely doesn't seem like the baking type." Wendy stood up after you did and she started stretching.
"I know right, he's absolutely adorable when he focuses so hard on adding the right amount of ingredients." You smiled as you thought about just how long he spent measuring every single ingredient. You looked at Wendy, surprised to see the look she had on her face. "I mean, adorable as in a sibling kind of way. I don't think about him in that other kind of way.." You shook your head to further prove your point.
"Huh..? oh no I never thought you did.." Wendy mumbled as she waved her hands in front of her, in a way to try and clear up the misunderstanding.
"Oh, it's just because of the look you had on your face. I guess friendships between guys and girls in this type of industry can't be that open and honest between each other." You shook your head as you avoided making eye contact with her. "I should really go now, I have some things I need to look over before the show case." You mumbled before respectfully dismissing yourself.
"Right, I should probably head in too, we need to go over the set list for tonight.." Wendy said as she watched you walk away.

There were approximately ten more minutes left until fans were going to be let into the venue, so everyone backstage was running around making sure everything was set up and ready to go. You were in a corner talking to your manager and one of the camera directors about how long tonight's even was going to be and if one of your special surprises was all set for later in the event. Red velvet were lined up in the hallway as they got all of their microphones fitted. Seulgi was going over a few of their dance moves with the youngest two in the group, as the older two talked about the songs they were going to be performing before the event let out.
"All right doors are opening, the first few people should be heading in now." A staff member had told your manager before dismissing himself to go let the others know.
"You nervous..?" Your manager asked you when he noticed the look on your face.
"What..? No of course not, it's just another day." You answered him with a smile as you fiddled with the cards you were holding in one hand.
"Okay, well if you need to take a drink of water I'd suggest you do it now, this event is going to last a while." Your manager looked away when his attention was being called for by another staff member, "I have to go, you're going to do great!" He reassured you before walking away.
You leaned against the wall behind you, lifting your head up to take deep breathes in a way to calm your nerves. You never got this nervous before an event, so this feeling was completely new to you.
You soon felt someone tapping on your shoulder so before looking down at who it was you closed your eyes to draw in one more deep breathe. You looked down and smiled when you saw who it was, "Yes..?"
"Ah, im sorry to bother you, but we couldn't help but notice that your hair got entangled in your earring."
"Oh really..?" You stood up straight as you reached for the ear she mentioned.
"Oh here, I got it.."
"Thank you Yeri" You smiled at her once she placed your hair back in place.
"It's no problem, we've all been there before." She smiled back before walking back to her group mates.
"You're the one who noticed it and I told you to go do it, why did you make me go..?" Yeri glared at Wendy.
Wendy shrugged, "Just because.."
"Just because..? That's it..? Ugh I hate you, I hope you trip on stage," Yeri crossed her arms across her chest as she rolled her eyes.
"Hey stop it, she doesn't mean it Wendy." Irene lightly smacked Yeri's arm, "Don't say that, she could get hurt on stage, it's not something to joke about Yerim."
"Ouch, okay I'm sorry Wendy." Yeri rubbed her arm before walking away to join Seulgi and Joy.
"Hey guys, less than three minutes left. The host is going to walk on stage first and give a brief introduction of today's events then you will all walk on stage. Introduce yourselves then go and sit down in the spots you chose earlier." A stage assistant told the girls before running off to go and tell you that you were ready to head on stage.
Music was playing over the speakers as the lights in the venue began to dim. The song had something to do with Butterflies but you didn't have time to sit and listen to music, it was time to walk out on Stage.
As soon as you walked out on the stage with the spot light on you, the crowd began to cheer. You swallowed the nerves that had been building up inside of you for the past few hours and smiled. This was who you were, you were in your element and nothing could distract you now.
"Hello everyone" You bowed your head to the crowd and smiled as some of the crowd began to cheer even louder. "Wow, I'm definitely loving the energy in here right now, and I'm sure the girls will too. How's everyone feeling today..?" You paused as you listened to the crowd yell their responses, a mixture of either goods or saying it's hot. "Haha, I know a good amount of you had been waiting out there for a few hours, so someone is walking by handing out waters, so feel free to take one." After you saw the relieved look on some of the members of the crowds faces you continued, "Alright then, I'll go ahead and introduce myself. Hello I am the host for tonight's event. Day one of Red Velvets Third Full Album showcase. I'm am excited to be here tonight to host this event and I hope all of you are excited as well." You waited for the crowd to calm down before taking a few steps back, "Alright so let me introduce, Red Velvet." You gestured to the side of the stage where the girls were going to walk out. You couldn't hide the smile on your face when you heard the crowd go absolutely crazy as the girls stepped out with smiles.
The girls introduced themselves to the crowd and then you all moved to go sit down.
You sat in your spot and smiled as you held your microphone in front of you. "So did you guys watch the short interview that was uploaded an hour ago..?" After hearing a bunch of yeahs from the crowd you let out a small laugh, "Okay then so you are all prepared for how hard it's going to be to crack them for information." The crowd laughed as a few of them nodded. "Alright then, let's begin."
_
You were now standing back stage watching the girls perform their five song set list for the night. They were currently on their third song when you went to find a staff member to make sure your surprise was ready.
After checking everything and making sure it was all set up, you went back to watching the girls perform. They were soon finished so you walked back out with a smile as you clapped.
"Wow let's give up to Red Velvet." The crowd cheered even louder while the girls took a moment to finally catch their breathe.
A staff member ran out on stage to hand the girls a bottle of water each before disappearing behind the stage.
You waited for the crowd to calm down before speaking again. "Wow that was an amazing performance, I bet you are tired so why don't you catch your breath and sit down." You told all five members who only nodded as they started opening their water bottles. You walked up closer to the edge of the stage as the members all walked to go sit down. "So how was that..? They were amazing weren't they..?" You asked the crowd, amazed at the way they managed to get even more loud than they were at the beginning of the event. "Wow which song was your favorite..?" You asked again as you waited for a couple of answers to be shouted from the crowd. "What about that dancing..? Wow that was amazing." You turned to smile at the girls. "Well it's looks like we only have around ten more minutes left for tonight," You walked to go sit in your spot. "So Irene, would you like to remind everyone when the album comes out..?"
Irene smiled before holding her microphone up to her mouth, "Yes, our new album, Red Herring, is coming out tomorrow morning at ten alongside our new Music Video. We really hope you all enjoy it as we've all put in a lot of hard work. This was a long project but a project we're very proud of."
"Thank you Irene," You sent her a smile before turning to face the crowd again, "I hope you all remember that their first performance of their new songs will be here tomorrow evening, I hope we get to see some of your faces here tomorrow too." You stood up, "Now I have a surprise for everyone here today, I really hope you all like it." You looked over at the edge of the stage and gave the stage director a nod.
Two staff members ran on stage with small bags to hand out to the members. As they got their surprise, staff members walked all through the rows of seats handing everyone in the crowd their own bag of goodies.
"Wow what's this..?" All the girls asked question's when they looked at the bags in their hands.
You smiled proudly as you saw everyone look at their bags, eyes filled with joy.
"Now, I'm sure you are all wondering what this is, allow me to explain. These are macaroons, im sure you're all familiar with them. I made all of these myself this past week and they represent the members of red velvet and you guys. Yeri I'll start with you." You pointed at the bag in her hand, "You got five purple macaroons with the flavor grape, you'll notice there's also a half pink and red one in there. That represents your fans. Reveluvs. Joy you got five green macaroons, flavored as Kiwi. Wendy, this was a weird combination but I enjoyed making it, you got five blue macaroons, flavored orange. Seulgi you got five yellow macaroon's, flavored pineapple. And lastly Irene you got five pink macaroons, flavored watermelon. You each get one half pink and red macaroon to symbolize your amazing fans." You stood there as the girls all smiled and clapped, "Now you guys," You gestured to the crowd, "All of you got one of each of these to represent red velvet and yourselves. There's a little piece of paper in there with all the ingredients so if you're allergic to anything listed please do not eat anything in the bag and let a staff member know, I have something else prepared for those of you with allergies. I also wanted to let you know that the dye used in these macaroons are all natural dyes. I hope you all enjoy."
"Thank you so much, this is the sweetest thing anyone has done for us and our reveluvs." Irene spoke into the microphone before placing it down to whisper to Wendy. "I can see why you like her."
"Haha, it was no problem, I really enjoyed making them. I hope you all enjoy them." You took a moment to wait for the crowd to settle down before ending the event. "Now, sadly, it is time to say goodbye. I hope I see some familiar faces here tomorrow night since you never know if you will get another surprise." You smiled happily as some of the fans in the crowd lifted their bags in the air, cheering. "Please be careful on your way out and have a great night guys." You moved out of the way so Red Velvet could say bye before walking off stage. You followed after them, relief taking over you body as you stepped back stage.
"Good job today, you did great." Your manager walked up to you, helping you take the microphone pack off your clothes.
"Haha, your tongue is blue, did you try them..?" You asked him once he got it off you.
"Of course I did, you know I love your baking." He smiled, teeth blue.
"You better, or else you'd have to find someone else to bake your wifes birthday cake. Make sure everyone gets some, I made a lot."
"Everyone is making sure to get their share, go ahead and get dressed. We have a quick conference call with the boss then I'll drive you home."
"Okay, sounds good." You walked down the hallway do your dressing room, a happy feeling every time you saw someone walk by with a macaroon in their hands.
_
You and your manager just finished up the meeting with your boss that lasted around fifteen or so minutes. He was sitting in one of the chairs in the room, scrolling through his phone as he waited for you to get ready.
"Oh, hey is it okay if I go do something real quick. I have a few boxes with extra macaroons in here and I don't want them. I wanna go see if the members of Red Velvet want them." You showed him the stack of small white boxes in front of you.
"Yeah I don't care, I'm not in a rush. I'm ready whenever you're ready. Go, take your time." He waved at you with one hand as he used the other to hold his phone.
"Okay, ill be back in a little bit." You got up with the boxes in your arms. You made your way down to Red Velvets dressing room, you could hear them all talking and laughing behind the door. You couldn't quite knock so you tapped the bottom of the door with your foot.
After a few seconds the door opened and you were greeted with Yeri smiling at you, "Hey, what are you doing here..?" You couldn't help but notice the purple on her lips.
"I was just stopping by to see if you all wanted these. I made quite a lot of extras and I still have a few at home so I don't need these." You gestured for her to take a box so she could look inside.
"Oh my gosh, of course we want these. Here come inside, we're just doing a live broadcast so don't mind the other idiots." She opened the door to let you.
You were hoping just to be able to quickly drop the boxes off then head home, but it seemed like luck wasn't on your side.
You walked in and placed the boxes down where Yeri showed you and you were almost out of the door until Joy stopped you.
"Hey look who's here." She hollered to everyone else in the room.
Everyone walked over, including Seulgi who had a phone taping everything.
"Hey, did you need something..?" Irene asked you.
"Huh..? Oh no Yeri already helped me out, thanks for asking though." You smiled at her before trying to escape.
"Yeri..?" She looked over at the youngest.
"She brought us boxes of extra macaroons, she said she didn't need them since she still had extras at home so I told her we'd be glad to take them." Yeri explained, gesturing to the white boxes you placed down in the room.
"Oh no way, that's awesome. Yeri basically ate all of ours." Joy yelled as she ran over to the boxes.
The other three followed behind her and you were left alone with Wendy by the door.
"Okay, well I'm leaving now. I hope you enjoy them." you told them before stepping out.
You made it a few steps out the door before being stopped by Wendy.
"What's up..?" You turned to face her.
"Um, those uh macaroons, they're amazing." Wendy stumbled over her words, not quite knowing why she followed you outside, but here she was talking to you. "How did you make so many..?"
"Oh haha, well I was just playing around with a bunch of recipes I found online, tweaking them to my liking and then just started making a bunch. They're really simple once you get used to making them. I thought they would make a nice gift for tonight." You made eye contact with her as you answered her.
"Really? I do that too. I find recipes online and make them my own all the time. It always turns out better that way."
"Yeah that's true. The macaroons were easy, yours were actually the ones that gave me to most trouble. I kept forgetting what flavor they were supposed to be but in the end I think it all turned out good. There's a whole box in there filled with them." The both of you just stood there in silence, you didn't know what else to talk about so you were about to walk away until wendy finally spoke up.
"Do you think you could show me how to make them..? I've tried making them before but they never turned out like that." Wendy's voice was shaky as she avoided your gaze.
"Huh?? Really? I would love to show you how to make them!" You clapped your hands in front of you.
"Really..?" She finally looked up at the bright smile on your face.
"Of course, I love baking with people. I can give you my number if you'd like. We can set a date for you to come over and bake." You pulled your phone out of your pocket.
"Oh, that would be nice." Wendy grabbed your phone as you handed it to her and entered her number. Then you switched and you put your number in her phone, the entire time talking about which flavors you wanted to try.
"Okay Wendy, it was nice talking to you and I can't wait to bake with you but I should let you go back in now, I'm sure your members are wondering where you went off to."
Wendy just stared at you for a while before speaking up, "Hey, wait. Before you go, I just wanted to apologize for earlier today. I totally wasn't thinking whatever it was you thought I was thinking. I was just more surprised at the fact that a man like Baekho focused that hard on ingredient measurements, I cant even get Yeri to add the right amount of water to packaged noodles so it was just surprising to me. I'm sorry if my facial reactions offended you in anyway, I didn't mean to. I've actually been a big fan of yours for the past few years and I'm kind of upset with myself that that was the impression I left on you."
"Oh, Wendy No. You don't need to apologize, I should be the one apologizing. I shouldn't have reacted that way without hearing you out first. I'm sorry, I was just stressed out and I let my stress get the best of me. I shouldn't have let it. I don't think you're a bad person in any way, you're one of the nicest people I met. I hope we can put that whole thing behind us. It was childish for me to make an assumption like that. I'm truly, deeply sorry." You looked down at your shoes in shame.
"I would like it if we could just put it behind us.." Wendy's voice was quiet as she watched the way your fingers fumbled with each other.
"Me too.." You looked up at her. "Hi Wendy, it's nice to meet you. I heard you're a big fan of baking, so am I. Want to bake together one day..?" You stuck your hand out to her.
Wendy looked at you in shock before understanding what you were doing. "Oh, hello there. Of course that sounds like an amazing idea. I cant wait." She shook your hand, both of your smiles matching each other.
"Alright then Miss Wendy, it's time for me to go. I'll see you tomorrow." You let go of her hand to wave at her.
"Yeah, I'll see you tomorrow." She waved back, watching you walk down the hallway. It wasnt until she heard someone call her name that she looked away from you.
"psst, seungwan, what happened??" All four of the girls were peaking out of the cracked door, Joy asking the questions, "Did you get her number?"
Wendy walked up to the four of them, unable to hide her smile as she nodded. "We have a baking date soon.."
"What?" All four of them yelled in shock.
"Well it's not a date date, but she invited me over to her house to bake with her." Wendy explained as she stepped past the girls to go inside.
"That is adorable, I wonder how it's going to go.." Seulgi said walking behind Wendy.
"Yeah I do too, I guess we'll find out later." She mumbled as she checked her phone when she got a message from you.
"Can't wait to bake with you Wendy! Have a great night and stay safe!"
Wendy smiled at her phone before typing back her reply. "Thank you, I can't wait either. See you soon"
"Oh my god are they already texting each other, she just left.." Yeri whispered to Joy.
Joy laughed and shook her head, "Don't judge her too much, she finally got the chance to talk to her dream girl, we should be proud of this idiot."
The girls all stared at the way Wendy kept smiling at her phone as the two of you exchanged messages. Wendy was happy and that's all that mattered.

I think dating Jason would mean never peeling your own oranges. It’s not that you can’t or won’t, but he likes doing it for you. Simple as that. You could easily snatch your oranges out of his hands, with their long fingers and scarred knuckles, but you choose to let him do this for you. You protest at first — you’re a big girl capable of doing this for yourself after all — but he brushes it off, tells you that he likes taking care of you with an earnestness about him that you can’t deny. Doesn’t that just have your insides turn into something warm and soft? So you accept his care with the graciousness it deserves. Lean into his side as he makes the first cut into the skin, releasing a mist of juice and citrus oil into the air. Sweetly thank him for every segment he passes into your fingers. He always keeps a few wedges himself as payment, but it’s no steep bargain. If you’re alone, sometimes he’ll feed each piece to you. Press the wedge against your parted lips and wait for your teeth to catch hold. And if sometimes you’ll lick his fingers clean of the dripping juice, well that’s a secret between you and his darkening eyes.

Two light knocks are heard outside your bedroom door followed closely with a voice you weren't expecting to hear so soon. "Hey, Y/N?"
Wendy.
Knowing that it's just a few hours past noon, you assume that Wendy must've figured a way around her schedule to arrive home early from work today. You can't deny, you're of course glad about this, but still, not even your lover's presence or the gentle call of her voice can excite you enough to lift the continuous sadness that caves over your mind. All you can muster out is a sniff and sink your head deeper into your pillow.
Wendy presses her ear against the door after struggling to hear an audible response from inside, but eventually after a few more silent seconds she just turns the doorknob, pushing open the door and stepping inside to the scene of you sunken beneath your sheets, curled up closely to the wall with your back facing her. She leisurely walks towards the bed, giving herself time to examine your figure while hearing your occasional sorrow sniffs and whimpers.
Wendy was already sensing dull vibes after walking into a dead silent and empty house and standing outside your bedroom, not hearing any signs of life come from inside although she knew very well that you were in there. But this is just the cherry on top, she can clearly tell that you've been rotting motionless in that same spot for at least a few hours now, wallowing in your secluded emotions, and the pitiful sight of you only causes the joy in her heart to weaken in sorrow even more.
You can feel the mattress weigh down beneath you as she sits on the edge of the bed and rests a gentle hand on you, soothingly rubbing up and down your back while she continues to let you sulk for another good thirty seconds. "What's wrong, babygirl?" she asks with a frown. (Sorry, you can't convince me she wouldn't call her girlfriend babygirl)
You don't respond. Instead, burrowing your head further into the comfort of your pillow and tucking your knees closer into your chest.
Wendy sighs, twisting the top of her body around to meet your curled figure. "Baby?"
Again, not a word is said from you.
Wendy pouts at you, fully climbing onto the bed and laying behind you. She wraps her arms around you and pulls you in close for her to spoon you. Her breath is warm against your neck, sending a wave of chills up your spine as she whispers again. "Talk to me, Y/N. What's up?"
You slip your hands up from beneath your head and bring them down to hers, intertwining her soft fingers with yours. You hold your laced hands close to your chest and sigh as you shake your head.
You swear, you're not intentionally trying to ignore or be difficult with Wendy. In fact, you do want to spill everything that's been bothering you in that jumbled mind of yours, you really do, but despite all that, your stubborn little mouth just won't allow you to execute them into physical words.
She nudges her head against yours. "Come on, Y/N.."
You don't understand why you're not talking.
"Do you just not want to talk about it right now? Will you at least tell me later?"
You give a single nod.
Wendy frowns, but like the amazing girlfriend she is, she still hums understandingly, not wanting to push your patience any further with all these inquiries and snuggles her face closer against your nape, purring slightly.
"Should I leave you alone for now then?" she asks but you quickly shake your head. You might not be in the mood for venting, but you sure don't want to be left alone again to deal with all these invading thoughts. You need her touch and scent so you can at least stay sane to some extent.
She slightly peaks over you. "Well, since you want me to stay with you but aren't going to use your words with me can you turn to me so I can at least see your pretty face? I've barely seen you all day!"
You restrain yourself from moving at first, anxious about how Wendy will react once she sees the mess your face has been shaped into, but eventually you give in and weakly roll over to her, though your lids remain clenched.
You feel the tender touch of a hand cup your flushed cheek, a thumb swiping a lone tear. "Open your eyes for me, love," Wendy directs oh so sweetly.
You sigh, but oblige, fluttering your lashes open until you're making immediate eye contact with Wendy, revealing your all to her.
Now, Wendy can see you clearly, noting your red eyes, the puffiness of your swollen cheeks, the now dried mascara tear stains tattooed down your face, your rosy nose and all your hurt, being so much more apparent to her now.
"Aw my babyy," Wendy whines in her tiny voice, jutting her bottom lip out and staring at you with those big puppy eyes she knows you can never resist.
Wendy leans in, pressing a chaste kiss to the tip of your swollen nose and rakes her slender fingers through your disheveled hair. She leans back, continuing to analyze you with a frown and swipes a loose hair from your forehead. "I hate it when you look sad. I mean, you somehow continue to look adorable even like this, but it's still hurting my heart," Wendy says, sneaking in a tease in an attempt to crack a smile on your somber face, but it goes overlooked as you only focus on her other words, your guiltiness being fueled more and you instead frown.
Making Wendy sad is the last thing you wanted.
"My bad," you mutter, flaking your gaze down in guilt as Wendy finally hears your broken voice for the first time this day.
Wendy scrunches her eyebrows and quickly shakes her head at you. "No no no no no! Shh!" She smushes two fingers against your lips to hush you up while staring you down with a stern look and her lips pursed, continuing to firmly shake her head. "Don't you dare apologize to me for anything. All you need to do is stay here laying your pretty body down while I do everything I can until I can cheer you up and make you give me a genuine smile."
"You really don't have t—"
Wendy cuts you off, forcing those two silencing fingers to your lips again as she whistles another aggressive and long 'Shhhhh.'
"Don't.." she trails off with clenched teeth, cocking an eyebrow as she glares at you with one of her playful, exaggerated faces. Her eyes rapidly look you up and down and she failingly hides a smile, struggling to even take herself seriously. You can't lie, her expression almost stole a chuckle from you too.
"Now, baby," she starts, her tone softening again as she lowers her fingers, "do you want to go out somewhere or shall we just stay home for now? I'll do whatever makes you happy."
You look off into thought. You do want to go out with Wendy and have fun, really, but again, you simply just don't have the right energy built up to. "Here."
Wendy nods, trailing her fingers down your cheek and slightly lifts your chin. "Alright then, but first before you or I think about saying or doing anything else, I need to freshen you up. A clear face will be the start of a cleared mind." Wendy's thumb rubs over your smudged mascara.
You nod, getting ready to sit yourself up, but Wendy gently pushes you back down as your back's just barely risen from the bed, waving her finger as she shakes her head again with a disapproving hum. "No. Let me be a gentleman." Wendy scoots up quickly from the bed, grabbing onto you and dragging you by your waist to the end of the bed, completely taking you by surprise and picking you up as you gasp, carrying you bridal style.
Wendy giggles looking down at your startled face and exits the room, walking into the bathroom.
She places you on the sink counter, keeping her hands on your hips as she smirks up at you. You roll your eyes, your lips stubborn though a low, sarcastic remark still manages to slip past. "Oh, what a gentleman you are, Wen."
Wendy grins, feigning a blush as she places a hand over her mouth, pretending to get shy and twists a wavy lock around her finger. "I know right?! Aren't you just so lucky to have me?"
You shake your head looking away from Wendy as you fight to suppress the smile that's trying to creep onto your lips. Wendy whines with a playful pout and pinches your cheek. "Oh come on! I almost had you there! Just smile for me, pretty girl!" Her hand goes under your chin, squishing your cheeks upwards like putty to force a smile with your stubborn lips.
In her other hand, she wets a rag and begins to clean your face in gentle strokes. You both stare at each other silently, Wendy's tender gaze and a smile never leaving her, leaving you feeling all want warm and fuzzy inside just like every other time she's affectionate with you.
"Done!" Wendy announces pridefully once she wipes over your cheek one last time and places the rag down. She places both hands on your silky cheeks forcing you to look down at her and smiles contently. "Smooth just like baby skin now! Don't you already feel so much better now?"
You nod quietly.
Wendy grabs a nearby brush and combs through your hair to get all the tangles out and brushes it high up into a bun. She pinches your cheek again.
"Come on," Wendy gestures holding out her arms. You scoot closer off the edge, wrapping your legs around her small frame and scoot completely off the counter, clinging your arms around her neck as she holds you tightly. She giggles some more as she walks out of the bathroom carrying you and mumbles with a grunt. "My big ole baby."
You and Wendy silently lay on the couch. She's settled beneath you as you lay on her chest, your eyelids resting closed as you're lulled into relaxation listening to the pattern of her heartbeat and the sensations from her skilled fingers massaging your head. You can feel yourself nodding off.
Well, until you hear a sudden knock from the front door. You're pretty sure you don't remember inviting anyone over or ordering anything.
But Wendy on the other hand gasps, her eyes gleaming with a childish joy and gently but swiftly sits the both of you up. Well, clearly it seems like she knows what or who's out there.
"What's that?" you ask lowly but Wendy doesn't answer as she continues to skip over to the door.
Your body stays limp as you continue to lay flatly on the couch, although this position does give you a disadvantage of seeing who Wendy's speaking to as she thanks them for whatever she's received and then closes the door.
"Y/N!" Wendy coos, moseying on behind the couch with her hands held behind her back suspiciously.
Your eyes slightly cross looking up as Wendy towers over you, cheesing down widely at you. She removes her hands from her back and reveals a large bouquet of assorted pink and white roses above your head. "For you, my love."
You gasp, immediately sitting up from the couch to get a better look at them.
She hands you the flowers and you happily accept them, looking down and admiring them in shock. Just by the size and neatness with the way they're arranged you know they had to have been one hell of an expensive buy!
"What in the world, baby?! These are so pretty!
Are they really for me?" You place your hand to your melting heart as Wendy nods in confirmation.
"When did you even buy these?" you ask smelling the sweet earthiness of the bouquet.
"While you were busy laying on me I wanted to get these for you to cheer you up because I mean it's flowers! Who doesn't love flowers? I picked out the ones that I felt were as beautiful as you and made sure to buy the fastest same-day delivery they could do.
Just know, I might've bought the prettiest flowers, but they still could never come close to your beauty!"
Oh, you can't take it anymore, she's officially gone too cheesy! You can already feel your teeth molding in cavities from the tooth-aching sweetness of her actions, and the heat is unavoidable as your cheeks flush a deep crimson. You shield the lower half of your face in a failed attempt to hide your shyness. "Thanks so much, Wen. Really."
"It's nothing," Wendy shrugs, giving you a smug look as she flicks her hands over her shoulders to mimic brushing away dust.
She continues to look at you, a smirk held proudly while she slightly tilts her head looking at you with a certain look In her eyes like she's expecting something else to be added.
"What?"
"I don't know why you're purposefully holding yourself back from doing it," Wendy says crossing her arms.
You tilt your head, even more confused from her vague wording. "Holding myself back from what? What are you talking about?"
Wendy places her hands on her hips, tilting her head at you.. as if she expects you to be able to read her mind. "You know what I'm talking about.."
You stare at her completely clueless.
"Come on! You know.." Wendy crosses her arms.
After a few seconds of sharing confusing eye contact, you soon catch on to what she's insinuating, pressing your lips into a straight line and looking up with a defeated sigh. Fine, she wins.
Finally, you give in to her and smile coyly, covering your mouth as you giggle quietly.
Wendy does a mini celebration, cheering a "yes!" and pulls you in tightly in victory for finally being able to crack a smile out of you.
"Finally! Now, there's the smiley Y/N I've been waiting all day to see!"
I mean come on, it's flowers. I feel like flowers can instantly make anyone's mood better! And hopefully this cheers you up too anon,, Also FINALLY.. I have a Wendy fic posted

Bae Joohyun / Irene
Tumblr media
Irene knew better than to sneak out in the thick of their promotion season, but with all eyes hot on her it was hard to not want to get out. Just for a moment. Her members encouraged her to take a well deserved break from the public scrutiny and she took the chance of her managers running around mad around the other girls.
The singer strolled through the calm streets, blending into the crowd as she pondered on the normalcy of a regular person's life, there was always a part of her that longed for that kind of simplicity.
So deep in thought, the feint thunder in the air slipped past her.
Before she knew it, she felt a droplet on the tip of her nose. Curiously, she looked up and dread washed over her like a tidal wave, or in this case a dark cloud of rain. Irene's eyes flew open wide looking for a place to wait the rain out in where she could conceal her identity to no avail.
She raised her hand in a vain attempt to cover her head, seeking solace under the shade of a tall tree. She clutched her arms, trying to restrain herself from shivering, as she thought of her next move.
Her members all had their own schedules and she knew better than to call her managers at this point, who would definitely punish her for sneaking out without supervision. Irene huffed and looked up the dark sky that seemed as if it wouldn't yield.
Until the dark sky was covered by a sky blue coloured fabric. Irene's eyes jolted to the side to see a smiling face, your smiling face. The singer offered you a polite but meek smile before taking a tentative step to the side, getting out of the shade of your umbrella.
"I know that we don't know each other but surely being in the rain and getting sick is worse than standing next to a stranger." You reasoned trying to get her covered. "I'm warning you not to get any closer." Irene said, slightly terrified of a stranger cornering her where she couldn't ask for help.
The realization of her fears dawning on you, you took a big step back, still making sure her head was covered from the rain. To a point when you weren't even under the umbrella anymore. "I'm sorry for overstepping." You said before looking up at the sky.
"I'd say there's about fifteen more minutes of heavy rain," You hummed thinking a for a moment, tongue sticking out as you did. Irene couldn't help but giggle at your childlike demeanour. "And five of light rain. Then you can make you way home."
The singer quirked her brow in disbelief. "I don't think so. This is going to take all day, I'm sure of it." You grinned, still staring at the gray sky before looking down at the woman cockily.
"Wanna bet?" You challenged.
Irene, never one to back down from a fight, nodded off, finally breaking into a wide smile as she stared up at you. "I hope you're prepared to lose!" She retorted, finally taking a step closer to you.
It didn't take long for you to badger her into talking to you. Soon, you both talked about different things, books, her members, and the mundane things you'd both done that day before that fateful encounter. And after just twenty minutes, like you'd predicted, the skies began to clear and Irene looked up in awe.
"What'd I tell you?" You boasted before closing the umbrella and turning to face the shocked idol. You chuckled before lifting your hand for her to take. "I'm Y/n...and also I was right."
She smiled up again, charmed by you. She took your hand in hers, "Joohyun."
Kang Seulgi
Tumblr media
Baker!Reader x Seulgi
Each time during a member's birthday, they took it upon themselves to celebrate it together one way or another. It kept them close even when they had individual schedules. Seulgi was the head of all of that, organising their internal celebrations and reminding them of each of the important dates.
But when Seulgi's came, the girls were left with only a few hours to scrap together a party for their fellow-member. Wendy paced the floor on the phone with the seventh caterer she'd contacted.
"Yes that would be for about twenty or thirty-ish people?" A hopeful look on Wendy's face made the other girls look at her with happy grins on their faces. "Oh that's perfect! We'd need it in about two hours—No, I'm not kidding..."
There was a pause before the singer muttered a tired, "Hello...?"
"It's not entirely unreasonable that no one can take the order..." Yeri commented while cutting out another photo of Seulgi to which Irene and Wendy scowled. Relentlessly, Wendy typed in another number and she sat down, rubbing her temples. "Hi, yes, would you be able to cater to thirty people in two hours...?"
The other members listened in aimlessly, fully ready to just have the staff run out and fetch some fastfood meals. "Oh? You will? Oh! Yes, I'll send over the address. And would you mind picking up a cake on the way if that's possible?" Wendy's smile grew tenfold as she began to jump out of her seat and into fits of joy.
"Perfect! I will see you then!"
The rest of the preparation for Seulgi's birthday went on without a hitch, the decorations were up and all the girls had been able to get some rest, all they were waiting was the caterer and Seulgi.
Irene paced across the dance rehearsal studio, Joy and Yeri on the look out for Seulgi to redirect her if she came too early, and of course Wendy was glued to her phone awaiting her manager's texts that they've picked up the caterers.
"Oh! They're here!" Wendy called out making Irene jump a little.
Before long, their managers walked in with you and a handful of staff who accompanied you to help in the work. You smiled and bowed low to the idols who did the same to you. "I'm so sorry for being a little late. I took the cake in for modifications, I hope you like it." You explained quickly before lifting the cover of the desert to reveal a cutely drawn bear with a party hat on.
The girls smiled up at you, "It's perfect."
"She's coming, hide!" Yeri called out quietly before scampering to a secluded part of the room. "Oh! You should all hide too!" Wendy explained excitedly before squatting into a corner. You looked at your staff and shrugged before hiding in a small corner together. Then you were all plunged into a shallow darkness.
Seulgi walked into the room, softly greeting the dark room in a cute voice only for the girls to jump out of their respective hiding places. She giggled cutely as the girls ran up to hug her, your vision finally cleared from the sudden darkness to the bright light.
Suddenly, your skin felt incredibly warm as you stared at the woman who stood before the other singers you'd met previously. You swallowed thickly before shaking yourself, stepping forward to offer the cake to the girls to give with the lit candle.
Briefly, your eyes met with Seulgi's and her face immediately flushed before her gaze focused to the cake that her members held in front of her. The staff and the member's began singing and you and your own staff clapped along politely, trying with all of your willpower not to look at the birthday girl.
As for Seulgi, the moment she met your gaze she was a ball of uncontrollable nerves. She couldn't help but stare at your direction...silently hoping that you'd look back at her.
Then the food was served.
Your employees, completely aware of how taken you were with the idol, forced you to serve Seulgi yourself. You smiled up at her shyly as you handed her the packed meal the girls had you prepare earlier in the day.
Seulgi excitedly opened the container and was met with a delightful scent that made her sway from side to side happily. You giggled at the most candid reaction from the singer and bowed quickly, wanting to leave before you embarrassed yourself in front of one of the biggest names in South Korea.
"This is delicious!" A melodious voice called out in awe as you turned to look at her before she continued to eat ravenously. You flushed as she looked into your eyes again, "Is this your recipe?"
You looked around tentatively before she pointed to a free chair beside her with a kind and warm expression. You sat beside her, "It's my family's recipe actually."
"Must be some amazing family to produce this lovely meal and you." You giggled at the smooth line as you both continued to talk, the girls watching silently, smiling to themselves watching you both get lost in the conversation.
Son Seungwan / Wendy
Tumblr media
Wendy had little time to herself. A lot of her interests and life was public information and could be accessed by pretty much anyone with a phone and internet. Don't get it twisted, she loves her fans and she adores sharing her life with her fans but sometimes she wants some things to herself.
So when she heard about a book that was recommended to her by one of the fans, she looked into it. And to her surprise, she loved it. The narrative, the characters, the suspense that left her wanting more, it all drove her insane.
Since she picked the book up, she couldn't put it down. She read it on her phone in her free time, when she was with the members she couldn't stop talking about it, and when she finally reached the end her world came crashing down when the second book was still in the works.
The singer tried to suppress the curiosity revolving around the second book, she needed to be calm about it. But the characters and their last held state made her mind run wild when she wasn't doing anything. To remedy this, she roamed the online forum for the book's fan pages, reading theories and speculations.
Excitement filled her as she read the pages and pages of information that had leaked and that was going around online. She pulled her phone into her chest, millions of ideas filling her head as she fell asleep.
On her next day off, she roamed the city taking in the sights and took a break in a small book store-café. Wendy ordered a coffee and wandered around the tall shelves while waiting for her beverage. Her eyes found a familiar book cover and she grabbed it excitedly.
Her lips tugged up into a wide smile as she read the first few pages, "This woman with the softest eyes, heart-melting smile, smooth voice, and warm presence was none other than Park Jisoo, the Dictator’s right hand man..." Wendy read with a wistful sigh as she flipped through the hard-bound book.
"You're a fan, I suppose?" A voice pulled her out of the book. She looked up at you in the blazer, embarrassed with a sheepish smile as you held your own coffee in your hand, eying the book in her hand. Wendy lifted the book, "Yeah, I've heard good things about it. Thought I'd pick it up." She explained casually.
You nodded before taking the novel in your hand, smiling down at the book fondly. "I always thought the cover could have been made better..." You muttered before Wendy jumped up and spoke before she could register what was happening. "But each part of the cover is meant to symbolize something! It only makes sense that they're there."
Your brows jumped up in surprise and repressed the smile on your face as you wordlessly asked her to press on. Her face was warm, she had let out her inner fan with a complete stranger. The singer cleared her throat and pointed to the art on the cover.
"W-Well...the day and night cycle above head symbolizes the change that Lucky has to go through, the dark mist around the character's feet is the magic that the character possesses, and the bloodied gun well..." She hadn't even realized she'd broken into a small smile before she even finished.
Wendy looked up at you with the same fond smile you held earlier. For a moment, you don't speak, as if you were lost in deep thought then a chuckle emanates from your lips. "I'd completely forgotten about all of that...I haven't read this book in months."
The singer's eyes light up with excitement as she asks, "So you've read it too?" You look down at her before you stuff your hands into your pockets. "Let's just say I know the book inside and out."
She gets excited and looks at you with complete awe. "I'm glad to know someone enjoys it as much as I do!" You flashed her big grin before you looked down at your watch.
"I'd love to talk about it more but I need to head out for a work meeting..." Wendy's heart sunk, she'd scared you off with her nerd talk. Before she could open her mouth to apologize, you cut her off. "So how'd you like to meet up another time to talk about it?"
The grin on her face grew again as she nodded enthusiastically. You let out another soft chuckle before scribbling down your number on a tissue paper and slipped it over to her.
"It was a pleasure to meet you." You added before you turned to exit the store. Wendy looked at the number, a giddy feeling building in her stomach before she continued to read the book in her hand.
It was a little bit longer until Wendy's order was called. When she rounded the counter to pick up the warm cup, she overheard the waitress talking. "Did you see Y/F/N was in here?"
"Who's that?" The waitress's co-worker asked while she wiped the counter down. "You dolt, they're the author of the How Fortunate series. Apparently, Y/n's been meeting with editors."
Upon hearing that, Wendy choked on the coffee she'd just sipped. Through fits of coughing she leaned onto the counter, seeking clarification. "That woman in the blazer and business casual? That was Y/F/N?!"
A shocked waitress nodded her head slowly. Wendy's hands fumbled for the tissue where you'd written your number. "Oh my God."
Park Sooyoung / Joy
Tumblr media
Joy had gotten into a relationship with him because he seemed exciting and like he could keep up with her in all aspects. To say he'd completely under delivered on all fronts would be an understatement of the century.
He meant well and was kind enough. But he simply wasn't on her level in much of anything. It left Joy feeling unsatisfied and unhappy, and at the same time it wasn't fair to her boyfriend either.
She'd wanted to break it off so many times but he was either too dense to understand what she wanted to do or there was always something holding her back. The singer often joked with her members that maybe she should just marry him to get it over with.
Of course though, she knew that she couldn't fake it forever.
One night, they'd been having dinner together quietly, as they always did. Awkward scraping of silverware on the plates and silent chewing was broken with, "My family's having a dinner, everyone will be there. Wanna come with me?" He asked with a toothy grin.
'No. I don't want to be with you anymore!' Instead Joy pulled a tight smile and nodded, her spoon clutched in her hand. Her boyfriend reciprocated the smile before taking another bite of the rice and meat.
The night of the family dinner finally rolled around and Joy leaned up against the kitchen counter, glass of iced tea swirling in her hand as she eyed her boyfriend hugging distant aunts and uncles. She smiled politely at each of them but didn't put too much effort into getting to know them at all. She was gone in a few days anyway.
Then, the door flung open and she stared at the door to see a young woman sporting a leather jacket and a smug grin. Family members whispered among themselves as the woman made her way through the small space, opening her arms to Joy's boyfriend.
"Hello brother." You call happily before wrapping him in a tight hug, quickly pulling away and slapping his shoulder rather aggressively.
"Sis. You're here." You smiled casually before picking up one of the bread loaves and taking a gingerly bite out it. Joy walked out of the kitchen to see a younger, female, and rugged version of her boyfriend. Your eyes shone mischievously as she met Joy's eyes.
Your eyes darken and the grin on your face grows more cat-like. You nod over to her, "Who's she...?"
Cluelessly, your brother looks over at Joy with enthusiasm. "Oh honey! Come over and meet Y/n, my sister." The woman walked over to you with a kind smile, wonder building in her that you were related to, well, him, plain as a cracker.
The dinner went by surprisingly quickly and before Joy knew it, she was waiting outside on the curb for her boyfriend to pull up with his car. She rubbed her arms trying to fight off the cold.
"A real gentleman would never leave you in the cold." Your voice echoed in the dark night. Joy looks at you briefly before turning away, making sure you wouldn't see the flush that was beginning to rush to her cheeks. "Aw, not even going to look at your boyfriend's sister...?"
She grunts, trying not to give into the thoughts that flowed through her mind. "All I need to know about you is that you seem like trouble."
You smirked, it was much less enthusiastic than when you'd initially walked towards her. "Careful with that tongue Sooyoung-unnie." Finally, she turns her head, shocked to see how close you were. The huff of smoke from your lips mingling with hers. "I might just cause more trouble"
Your eyes oozed want and curiosity, it made her cheeks flare up. She saw your eyes flicker from her eyes to her lips, looking like you were absolutely famished. Before either of you could do anything you'd regret, you pulled away and disappeared into the house.
Joy watched you walk into the house, her knees weak at the feeling of you around. Suddenly hanging around her boyfriend's family didn't seem so daunting.
Kim Yerim / Yeri
Tumblr media
You nor your family had a lot of money so when you started college you knew that by the end of it you'd have a mountain of debt. So in between you took a part-time job. But even after you graduated, looking for a job proved to be a new challenge, so you kept the part-time job.
Slowly the job became more permanent and it sort of just stuck. A part of you loathed it. But if it wasn't for that job, you wouldn't have met her.
It was a busy morning, you were running deliveries all morning and you knew that you had to take another shift later on in the restaurant to help pay for your mom's medication.
Ragged down from the heat of the summer sun, you walked into the restaurant to see your co-workers bustling around the small space. Your manager, a kind older woman, smiled at you pointing to the clock-in machine. You offered her a tired smile, "Another day, huh?" You commented to which your manager smiled and nodded.
"You missed a celebrity at table 9, but at least you get to clean it." She joked. You laughed softly before placing the helmet on the counter and reaching for the clean apron as well as the cleaning supplies.
As you collected the plates, from the corner of your eye, you see a brown leather wallet. Curiously, you pick it up. It surely wasn't any of your co-worker's, it was too fancy to be any of theirs. You opened the zipper and saw only a few credit cards and an ID. You take a look at the ID and plan on surrendering it to the cash register.
Suddenly, your eyes shot open, the youngest member of Red Velvet's wallet was in your possession. You look around to see if maybe she was still around or came back to retrieve it. After a few minutes of standing idle, you realize she isn't coming back.
You release a deep sigh and make plans to stop by the SM Entertainment Building later on.
A few hours later, Yeri had gone through her panic of realizing her wallet was missing and couldn't figure out where she could have placed it last. While she sat in the the practice room, waiting for further instruction, her phone rang. Expecting it to be a banker or a representative she picked it up immediately.
"Yeri!" Her manager's voice called cheerily. "Come down to the lobby! We need you." Abruptly, the call dropped and Yeri merely shrugged and made her way down sluggishly.
"You called me...?" Yeri muttered, still rather nervous about having to handle with all of the legalities of loosing her wallet with all her ids and cards. Her manager smiled before pointing to the lounge seats.
Confused, the singer followed her manager's direction, to see someone she'd never seen before looking around. Yeri's eyes narrowed at you. She turned back to her manager, "I don't know who she is if that's what you're asking..."
The older man chuckled softly, "She found a wallet in the restaurant she works at in the lost and found." Yeri's eyes lit up and the smile on her face returned. "She wanted to return it to the owner herself."
With that Yeri was practically bouncing over to you. Still distracted by the large building filled to the brim with talent, you barely noticed her barrelling towards you. She couldn't help but feel a sense of endearment to your wide-eyed curiosity with the SM Building.
Finally, your focus shifted to the singer. You offered her a kind smile, "I believe you left this at our restaurant. I though you'd like it back." You held out the leather wallet which she quickly took from your hand, embracing it like a child would their toy. You smiled and bowed quickly before turning a heel to leave.
"Wait!" Yeri called out, embarrassingly loud, to which she shyly covered her mouth before grinning up at you sheepishly. "At least let me repay you, you saved me a lot of struggle and scolding after all."
You smiled before looking down at your watch, you were already taking too long here. "I...I would love to but I have to head back to work." She bit her lip, thinking for a moment.
"How about I..." You politely put your hand up, smile still present on your lips. "Seeing the wallet back with the right person is fulfilment enough. Take care, miss Kim." Once again, you made your way toward the exit.
"May I at least have your name...?" Yeri tried one more time. You looked back, staring at her soft and endearing features. A flush of familiarity filled you before you faced her again, offering your hand out. "I'm Y/F/N. It's been lovely meeting you Kim Yeri."
Yeri noted how she loved the way you said her name. She grinned and took your hand, shaking it. You both chuckled softly, your hands lingering between one another before you finally pulled away, looking back one more time to see her staring at you. Your gazes sticking for a moment before you disappeared out of the building.
Yeri sighed wistfully, she had to admit you were rather cute. Shaking off the idea in her head, she returned to her manager thanking him as well before running back upstairs.
You both didn't know it yet, but that wasn't the last time you'd meet.

I Told You To Stay
Pairing: Peter Pan x Reader
Prompt: Peter told you to stay.
A/N: Ayoooo lol I'm alive. Anywho Y'ALL I GRADUATED COLLEGE and the first thing I accomplished after was writing this fanfic. How have y'all been? Now I have some free time and a desk job so I have time to write more. I literally got the idea for this scenario from a dream I had. So... This one gets a little heated but nothing explicit.
Tumblr media
"Where do you think you're going?" Peter teases you as he grabs your arm to spin you around.
You were the second Lost Girl to have ever made it to the island. The first will always be Wendy. Wendy continues to be the mother figure around the island while you were free to run off hunting and exploring with the Lost Boys. You could never shake the feeling that either Wendy hated you or envied you. She would be stuck cooking and caring for the boy while you were almost like a sister. You two never got along too well, the feeling of competition was always there.
The second that you came to the island and met everyone, it was no surprise that Peter was the one that caught your eye.
However, you were always hesitant to let any hope blossom in you since you thought that Peter and Wendy were together. And if they weren’t, she would have first dibs on him anyway. But that fact never stopped your crush and admiration of him from growing. Day in and day out, you were running through the forests with him and protecting the Lost Boys together.
Tonight was a quiet and warm night and everyone had had their dinners and was heading to bed. Wendy had made dinner and stayed back at the camp to clean up. You were heading towards your cabin before Peter grabbed your arm.
“You aren’t going to bed already, are you?” Peter asked with his usual smirk.
“Why, huh? You got something in mind worth my while?”
“Only one way to find out, I suppose.” He hides his smile from you as he leads you into the forest. That leads to where you are now. Running through the trees and climbing up the cliff as Peter is bounding off in front of you.
Coming to a stop behind Peter, you drop your hands to your knees and your head drops to start gasping for air. “Are we there yet? I feel like my lungs are going to explode!”
All of a sudden you’re squealing in delight because Peter ran over to you and scooped you into the air, carrying you bridal style. He takes off flying and your arms shoot out and wrapped around his neck.
“What are you doing?!”
“Taking you up to see the stars!” He yelled over the whistling wind as you continued laughing until tears formed in your eyes.
Daring to peek over his shoulders, you gasp at the beautiful aerial view of the island before he dives and does a giant loop in the air. Hugging him close, you shove your face into his neck and breathe in his scent. Though the night was cool, you felt warm against him. Wanting this moment to last forever but you know it can’t, you decide that you will hold this memory so you can always relive this happiness that you feel.
Feeling dizzy either from the adrenaline or from him, you rest your head against him and press a soft kiss on his neck.
Suddenly, Peter tosses you lightly into the air and you are airborne before he catches you but now your position has changed. Now you are sitting, straddling his hips, as his hands come to your behind to carry your weight. Your arms wrap around his neck again but now you are face-to-face with him.
As a blush covers your face, you whisper, “Well hi there.”
He gives you a small smile as he looks at your thorough hooded eyes, “Much better don’t you think? Now I can see you.”
You sit there, chest to chest with breaths mingling, completely suspended in the air over a cliff. “What are we doing, Y/N?” His whisper caresses your skin and he leans in just a little bit closer.
“What do you mean?” You can’t help but do the same, almost like a string pulling you to him.
“You know exactly what I mean. Have you casted a spell on me? Making me dream of you every night and thinking of you every minute the sun is up? Have you made yourself my personal magnet to me so I can never not be near you? Are you bewitching me?” He continues to whisper as one of his hands drags up your body and grips the back of your neck, pulling you in closer until your noses are barely touching.
Your breaths are coming out shaking but your fingers find their way to his hand and you tighten your hold, desperately keeping him close.
“What if it’s you that is playing with my head?”
Your lips are brushing against each other but not quite touching. Your brain fogs with desire but it’s all pulled away from you as Peter abruptly pulls away and starts flying back to land.
“Wha-” You’re dizzy from the sudden change but you aren’t able to be stable on your feet before Peter is hurriedly pulling you through the trees. Silently giggling and running through the forest, your heart is beating out of your chest.
Coming to a clearing, you see a small and simple log cabin sitting by itself. There are a few steps leading up to a porch that surrounds the little cabin.
“Where are we, Peter?”
“This is my place.” He finally slows down to a stop.
He comes up behind you and wraps his arms around you as he shoves his face into the crook of your neck. The movement pulls a giggle out of your throat but you don’t take your eyes off the cute cottage.
“I thought you had a tent back at the campsite with everyone else, hm? Are you keeping secrets from us now?” You tease.
“I always have secrets, don’t you know. But this is my own quiet place. I come here when I need to think. Or when I’m scheming.” He tickles your sides and gives your neck a quick kiss before he straightens. “Come on, let’s go inside.” He takes your hand and walks you into the cabin.
The inside of the cabin matches its look on the outside. Comfortable. Simple. Nothing extravagant. The main room is open. One side seems to act as a dining room with a large table with a few chairs beside it. The other side of the room has a matching large table but this table is covered in maps, scrolls, trinkets, and many other items you did not recognize. You see a door towards the back of the cabin which you could tell leads to a bedroom.
“Here, let me get you some water before you pass out on me.”
But before Peter could take a step or before you could even respond, a voice calls out from the back room.
“Peter darling? Did you just get home?”
The blood drains from your face and your eyes grow to saucers as you see Wendy walk out of the back room. Your ears started ringing and it feels as though everything is happening so fast yet so slowly.
Peter marches over to Wendy and angrily argues with her though you couldn’t hear anything over the muffling in your ears. “What are you doing here? Who said you could be here?”
“What are you talking about, baby? Don’t be like that.”
Wendy tries to run her hands up Peter’s front side but her hands do not get far before he grabs her hands and throws them off of him.
Your eyes shoot back and forth between Peter and Wendy and you could hear yourself mumbling, “I’m sorry. I didn’t know. I didn’t-” You hadn’t realized that you were backing up until you felt the front door hit your back.
Before you knew it, Peter was in front of you. All you could do was stare up at him with your heart ready to leap out of your chest. You were confused and hurt and scared and you wanted to be mad. But looking up at him. With his face soft and full of worry. All you could do was trust. Trust in what, you weren’t sure. But a wave of calmness fell over you as you looked at him and his hands came up to softly grip your shoulders.
Peter was gently moving you through the cabin and you could hear Wendy protesting but you couldn’t clear your head enough to hear what she was saying. Peter leads you to the back room which is his bedroom. He sits you on his bed and whispers to you, “Stay here.”
“Peter, I can go. I should’ve known you two were together. I shouldn’t be here, I can go.” But before you could make a move for the door, Peter grips your face gently but firmly, “I said ‘stay here’. I will figure this out. I’m not with her. She isn’t welcome here. You. Stay. Here.”
Peter slammed the door behind him as he left and all you could do was sit on the bed as you were told. Looking around the room, there wasn’t much there to keep you entertained. There was a nightstand by the bed with a few nicknacks on it. A desk with papers covered in writing you couldn’t read. No pictures. No posters. Nothing. Twiddling your thumbs, you tried to not overthink. You sat as patiently as you could but as the minutes ticked by and their angry whispering didn't stop, your anxiety started to kick up.
What if he is lying? Why would she just randomly be here? She’s comfortable enough coming in and out of his place like that. He could just be telling me what I want to hear. Of course, they’re together. Even a blind person could see that they were together. When did I become so dumb?! I need to get out of here.
Your breathing starts to become more rapid as your mind starts spiraling. Looking around the room, there was only one door, and that led back to the main room where Peter and Wendy are. The only other thing in the room was a window that sat above the desk. That was your ticket out. You thank the stars that you weren’t on an upstairs floor or anything or else this escape plan was going to be harder than you thought.
Swinging the window wide enough for your body to fit through, you quietly climbed up onto the table, careful not to disturb anything, and started to push out. You managed to make your way out but you accidentally made a loud thump as your body hit the back deck. Before you could stop and think about what to do, you jumped to your feet and took off running into the forest.
You ran until your lungs burned and ran some more. All around you were trees, trees, and more trees. Everything looked the same yet you didn’t recognize where you were. “Shit I should have been paying attention on the way here. Where the fuck am I?”
Coming to a stop, you drop your hands to your knees to try and catch your breath. After a few deep breaths, you stand up tall and prepare to take off again, at a more reasonable pace this time that you’re far enough away.
But before you could head off, something flies into you and you go slamming back into a tree. A warm, hard body pushes up against you and holds you flush against the tree with no room to escape. It’s still too dark in the night and the trees are blocking the moonlight so you can’t see what has you pinned. You start wiggling around and try to use your hands to push yourself free but a hand wraps around your wrists and pins them above your head. Something comes close to your ear and you could feel the anger radiating from this figure.
“I thought I told you to stay.”

Jenna Ortega x Fem!Reader
Tumblr media
(pictures not mine)
Summary: Four months post-breakup, Y/N "swiftly" moved on, entangled with a rising singer. Jenna, still raw from their shattered romance, covertly attended Y/N's performance at Coachella Valley Music. The echo of Y/N's new song sliced through her soul like a knife, reigniting her heartbreak with an unbearable intensity.
Warnings: curse words, notify me if there are any
A/N: This is a backstory. A new song released by Wendy, so listen to it if you can!
Song: His Car Isn't Yours // WENDY
Masterlist

"Do you wanna go around to get some food?" Mia asked Jenna, obviously trying to get her away from the stage where Y/N will perform in a few. The both of you planned this; You will perform your first ever stage in Coachella while she watch you. But it turns out that the world has other plans for the both of you.
You broke up with each other four months ago, but you are now dating a rising singer for two months. It fucking hurt, really. It hurt Jenna so deep. She never heard from you after you dropped off her things in her house and she went away to do filming.
"No, uhm, you go ahead, I'm not really hungry" Jenna smiled timidly to her sister. Mia nodded and leaves Jenna alone at their spot, near enough to watch you clearly, but far enough to not be seen.
Five minutes later, the crowd are cheering for your opening song. Jenna was watching you sing, reminiscing those days where the both of you were in a studio and she was the only person that gets to hear your masterpiece. She wants to gatekeep you actually, she doesn't want anyone thinking that they wanted to be yours. Because you are only hers and she's only for you.
She remembers how she drives to your house, picking you up, driving fast in the highway and driving slow through the suburbs. She remembers how you were always waiting up in your driveway waiting for her car to park in front so that you can greet her. Jenna sometimes parks her car on the other side of the street just to surprise you, but hell she wonders how you still noticed where she is parked.
A tear fell from her eyes, she wiped it up fast, not wanting to be seen. She hates herself right now, she hates how she is so hung up on you while you were out there dating some dude. Jenna thought to herself, "Did some force take you because I didn't pray?" because if it did, right here, right now, she'll be on her knees begging that things aren't real and she's just dreaming.
Your voice break her thoughts when you said "So this song is for someone... that has been a part of my life. A big part actually." You bitterly smiled, Jenna saw the camera focused on you, it didn't go unnoticed that you were actually finding someone in the crowd. You continue to speak "So uhm, if you are ever here, this is for you."
Jenna is nervous, because it's either you sing a song about that dude or your gonna sing about her. But she doesn't want to get her hopes high, so she did some breathing exercises to ground herself when the intro of the song started.
You start singing the song, it was... a sad one. A song that is actually about you and her. The moon is taking over the sun making the venue a tad bit darker, making the fans lit up the flashlights on their phone.
You moved to the center of the stage, closer to the people that are watching you. Scanning every possible face that your low resolution eyes can see. Trying so hard to find Jenna, because she promised. She promised she'll watch your first performance in Coachella.
Am I supposed to find someone
Makes me feel how I felt?
I'm trying think it's time that
I try again with someone new
The stream of tears on Jenna's face is now continuous, no matter how hard she tried to stop herself, she just couldn't. No one knew the relationship that you two had, no one knew that the two of you are connected. The both of you are rising stars in each track that you take, but the both of you are still not famous enough to break the internet with some dating rumors.
Now it's eight o'clock and I'm waiting on
This good guy to come pick me up
I just wanna have a good night
He's pulling up, oh my God, I see the headlights
And he opens my door but his car isn't yours
It's not you anymore in my driveway
It isn't you drivers seat on the highway
It isn't you on your way every Friday
And I hate that it hurts that his car isn't yours, yeah
But that car isn't yours
No, his car isn't yours
Yeah
The bridge hit every part of Jenna's heart that screams your name, which absolutely every part of her entire being. After your break up, she just drive past your house just to see if you are awake, to see if your dining room light is on, or just to see you in your driveway waiting for her.
Now it's 2 AM, he just dropped me off
Asked if he could come in, I told him maybe not
Then he asked what he did, I said that nothing's wrong
It wasn't your car
The song ended in a sad beat with you thanking everybody on your team, the festival, and the audience that watched you. Sad to say, you ended your set with a broken heart. You were happy, of course, being able to perform on a big music festival with a lot of people that can support you and listen to your music. But Jenna wasn't there, you didn't see Jenna standing on her spot, rooted there like she was planted.
But that car isn't yours
No, his car isn't yours, mmm-mmm
Eh-yeah, mmm, yeah
